Chapter 13
The night passed quickly, though they didn't really manage to get much done in the way of packing. Storm found herself stirring, a cold breeze flooding in through the blinds that Hermione had hung in her bedroom. Though the chilly air wasn't exactly what had pulled her from the depths of sleep.
There was a familiar coil of pleasure wrapping itself quickly around the base of her spine, a rumbled groan pulling itself up and out of her chest as her eyes fluttered open. Scanning the cause of her excitement in the dim light of the room with bleary sleep blurred vision. Her heart leaping into her throat as her sleep idled brain finally caught up to what was happening.
The sheets had been pulled down and off of her naked frame entirely. Hermione was settled between her legs quite comfortably. Dark eyes downcast, focused on what it was she was doing. Pink lips wrapped around Storm's erect shaft, tongue swirling around the tip before snaking to run along the underside so maddeningly. The sight itself almost proving too much for the Shifter to take, and she briefly wondered how much of this gloriousness she had actually missed.
"Hermione?" She called a little dumbly her voice hoarse from disuse and quickly followed by another moan as more of her solid member disappeared for a brief moment. Dexterous fingers curled around the base, sliding up to take over with long quick strokes as the brunette looked up then. Dark eyes hooded impossibly, an arrogant smirk tugging at lips that had just been so firmly wrapped around her girth.
"Good morning" The brunette spoke, her tone completely misleading. She was chirpy, and seemed quite pleased with herself. Though she never once paused her firm jerking, bringing the shifter ever closer to the quickly impending orgasm that threatened to have her spilling herself all over in a matter of seconds.
Storm reached out then, unable to figure out exactly what to do with her hands. "I'm gonna…" She warned as her fingers reached warm, soft skin of the older woman's shoulders. Holding fast as her stomach muscles began to tense, her body threatening to release at any moment.
The brunette did something then that had dark eyes rolling back. She wrapped her lips once again around the rosy tip of Storm's shaft, giving the Shifter's thigh a gentle squeeze before moving to press her palm flat to her stomach. Storm couldn't hold herself back any longer and seconds later the coil at the base of her spine snapped.
The brunette remained firmly latched onto her throbbing appendage until she had relaxed once again, and thick ropes had stopped flowing from the tip of her solid member. The whole ordeal leaving Storm's mind reeling with the images of what had just happened. Unable to believe that's how she'd been woken up, in such a gloriously pleasurable way.
"Bloody hell" She whimpered, forearm falling over her eyes as she tried to catch the breath that had gone completely and left her gasping. Shifting slightly to accommodate the smaller body that had crawled back up the bed, lips leaving lingering kisses across her still quivering stomach and up her chest before finding her own lips. "Good morning indeed" She muttered against Hermione, moving to roll the older woman onto her back.
"You seemed a little excited this morning, so I thought I'd help you out" The brunette clarified, though there was no question there. Storm didn't find it hard to believe she'd woken in such a state, not when there was a very naked bookworm sleeping so soundly curled into her. She had struggled to keep herself under control while Hermione was fully dressed, and figured she had no chance now that they'd taken this particular step.
"I am most definitely not complaining" The Shifter sighed as she moved to trace her own lips down the brunette's neck. Noting thick curls had been pulled up into a messy bun and completely out of the way. The thought of the reasoning behind it had her not quite soft shaft twitching again.
She wasted no time in making her way down the older woman's body, stopping to press her lips to sensitive spots she had discovered since they had gotten together. Nipping and licking, swirling the tip of her tongue over them each in turn. Pleased when each spot gave her a quiet sigh she was looking for.
Soon she was hooking her arms underneath fleshy thighs, pulling them apart enough for her to settle comfortably between them. Pressing her growing erection into the mattress hard in an attempt to stop the throbbing that had overtaken her appendage once again. Dark eyes flicking up to watch the brunette for a moment, watch the way her face scrunched in pleasure as she dipped her own tongue out to part soaking folds.
A hum escaping her own lips as she felt then just how ready Hermione actually was. The idea of the older woman working herself up by doing something for Storm was enough to have her breathing heavily, another coil of pleasure winding its way deep in her lower back as she forced herself to stay on task.
Though she wanted to draw this out, to really make it worth Hermione's time. She went slowly, dragging the tip of her tongue over every inch of the brunette, everywhere except where she was really wanted. Earning a frustrated whimper every time she got close only to pull away again.
Fingers soon wound their way into her hair, tugging gently at the roots just behind her ears in a way that drove her insane every time. Her tongue finally finding the little bundle of nerves that had become so sensitive if the gasp and moan that followed was any indication. She wrapped her lips around it for just a moment, sucking gently before soothing it with small circles drawn with the flat of her tongue.
After a few minutes of that, she could feel the older woman start to quake in her arms. She could feel strong thighs starting to tense and close around her head. Finally, she drug her tongue down to swirl and tease the opening of the older woman's entrance. Hermione's grip in her hair growing exponentially tighter then as she whispered her name breathlessly, urging her on, begging her to go further.
Storm gave her exactly what she wanted, pressing her tongue in as far as it could possibly go before pulling it back out to swirl over the sensitive bundle of nerves quickly. Alternating between the two for only a few seconds before Hermione was shuddering and gasping, twitching and falling entirely over the edge. Strong thighs clamping shut around her head briefly before she could pull them back and open again. Digging her fingers into the flesh she found there to keep them in place so she could draw her orgasm out for as long as possible.
It wasn't long before she was being pushed away entirely, the hands in her hair moving to her strong shoulders as the brunette whimpered something about being too sensitive. Her voice nothing more than a whisper as she finally relaxed into the bed beneath her once again. Dark eyes shut tight as her chest heaved and fell, white teeth pulling her bottom lip into her mouth.
Storm moved then, finally shifting from where she had pressed herself so solidly into the bed beneath her. Kneeling in between the older woman's legs, dark eyes watching as she pulled herself together. Hermione seemed to sense her stare and equally dark eyes fluttered open to meet her own.
Storm raised an eyebrow as Hermione took in the sight before her, her own eyebrow raised in return almost in disbelief as her gaze settled on Storm's still very erect member standing to full attention. "How do you have the stamina?" She laughed then, moving to reach out and trace the tips of her fingers down Storm's stomach. The tense muscles there twitching in reaction to the gentle touch.
"Doing things to you does things to me" Storm shrugged as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Plus, that first one lasted like thirty seconds, and I need to redeem myself" She smirked, though a deep blush crossed the bridge of her nose and tinted the tips of her ears.
"You don't need to redeem yourself" Hermione rolled her eyes playfully as she moved to kneel before the younger woman. Draping her arms around her shoulders so she could lean up to press a gentle kiss to each of her now crimson cheeks.
"We don't have to do anything else if you don't want to, I know we have to pack" Storm muttered sheepishly as she pulled Hermione closer. Long fingers drawing soothing patterns at the base older woman's bare back.
"We're witches Storm, we could do this and have packing done by dinner" Hermione smirked, leaning up to press one lingering kiss to Storm's lips before pulling away once again. Moving to turn so her back was to the Shifter now staring wide eyed. Leaning over to press her forearms into the pillows, waiting for the younger woman to understand.
"Bloody hell" Was the whispered response as she turned slightly to look over her own shoulder, watching as Storm visibly swallowed and maneuvered herself closer. It seemed she understood perfectly, and Hermione braced herself for what was to come. Her head falling to rest on her forearms, knees parting a little more.
A low groan escaped her lips as the Shifter's tip met her slick, still incredibly sensitive folds. Listening as Storm's own whimper echoed into the room as she lined herself up and pushed forward. Dark eyes shutting tighter as the younger woman slid herself in and filled her up so nicely. An involuntary moan dripping from her lips as Storm bottomed out inside her, as strong hips met her own skin that had been scorched by pleasure.
She could feel herself stretching, and quivering as her walls accommodated the thick shaft so willingly. Her own excitement coiling thickly in the pit of her stomach, growing as Storm pulled herself out slowly once again. Strong hands meeting her hips to steady herself. Burning Hermione's skin as they squeezed a little, bringing her back to meet her forward thrust.
She started slow at first, giving Hermione time to adjust to the thick intrusion that was so easily sliding in and out now, aided by the seeping wetness from their earlier escapades. The brunette now herself back into Storm with every thrust, their pace growing quicker and a little more erratic. The sound of Storm's grunts of exertion mixed with the moans of her pleasure adding to the coil that was winding tighter and tighter within her belly.
She was surprised when Storm's hands moved from her hips, when they pressed her shoulders down further. The weight of the shifter behind her also shifting, pressing her front into Hermione's back until the older woman was all but collapsing into the bed beneath them. Driving her shaft in at a completely different angle that allowed her to hit the spot deep within Hermione. The new angle causing the older woman's eyes to roll back as finger's dug into the pillow she was now gripping tightly. Moans falling from her lips, tumbling from her chest loudly with every thrust in.
Storm dropped her head then to pepper the older woman's shoulder with open mouthed kisses around groans still escaping her lips. Hermione reached back, the palm of her hand meeting the sweat slick skin of Storm's neck as the younger woman's lips met the shell of her ear. Her hands now fisting the edge of the mattress with white knuckles as she pounded down with intent.
The sudden heat from the shifter above her was all too much, and it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Her orgasm ripped through her, welling within the pit of her stomach and releasing with a loud gasp. Her slick walls clenching tight, twitching and throbbing around Storm's thick shaft still pounding into her from behind. Her wet stickiness flooding around Storm as the younger woman pulled out with her own heavy groan that sent another flare of fire through the older woman.
Only a moment later Storm's weight completely gone as the shifter all but collapsed beside her, panting heavily as dark eyes shut again the ever-growing brightness of the room. Her pale skin had been tinted a dusky pink from exertion and her lips were quirked up in a lazy smile. She rolled her head to the side, dark eyes squeezing tightly for a moment before fluttering open again.
Hermione was watching her, watching how her chest heaved as she caught her breath. Watched how her skin glistened in the light of the early morning sun filtering through the blinds. She noted the way Storm reached out to place a hand gently to her back, quietly using the brunette to ground herself.
"I liked that" Storm muttered sheepishly, though the grin she wore soon turned cheeky. "We're going to have to shower before we do anything else though" She stated, gesturing down towards herself before wrinkling her nose. "I'm sweaty and sticky" She clarified as if she needed to.
Hermione just rolled her eyes as she too moved then, propping herself back up on her forearms. Using the leverage to lean over and press a kiss to the Shifter's lips. "Me too" She laughed, shaking her head. "Though I do think we should shower separately otherwise we really won't get anything else done" She stated with a sigh, watching as the young woman's features twisted with thinly veiled disappointment.
"I guess that's true" She agreed, "I am hungry, maybe we can eat before we start packing" Storm muttered absently, dragging her fingertips down her own stomach. Breakfast was definitely needed before she could function like a normal person, and the low growl her stomach gave only gave precedence to that notion.
"I'll be quick then" Hermione laughed as she finally made to push herself out of the bed, moving to collect the things she needed for her shower. Storm just rolled into her spot, burrying her nose in the pillow the older woman normally used.
"I'll be waiting" Storm muttered quietly, more to herself than anyone else. Dark eyes watching the older woman wander out of view. A soft sigh escaping her lips as she thought about the events of the day ahead.
The next few hours passed in no time, and Hermione had been right when she had said they could have everything wrapped up very quickly. With Hermione taking a room to pick out the things she wanted to keep then leaving Storm to dispose of the rest. They had the entire flat empty by dinner time. Storm had been quite surprised to find the older woman didn't really have a lot outside of books, and quills and clothes that she wanted to take with her.
She figured quietly it might be nice to also go through her own things, and potentially get rid of her old tired furniture in favor of picking some items out together. She hadn't changed anything since she had moved into the home over ten years previously. The things she had didn't exactly scream family home either, they sort of were just mismatched and kind of odd.
She guessed she'd ask Hermione about that later on, but for the moment she stood at the stove attempting to put together a quick dinner for the pair of them. Hermione had quickly jumped on the task of setting up the small empty room Storm had told her about, rearranging it into a functional office. She had seemed beyond excited when Storm had showed it to her, and had been gone for a few hours.
A small knock on the glass door caught her attention then, and as she turned, she was surprised to see Cho standing in the open doorway. A large bunch of flowers held under her arm, and a kind smile tugging at her lips as she waved a small wave. "Hey, I thought I'd drop by to see you" She spoke as she stepped into the kitchen.
"Hey, what a surprise" Storm spoke kindly, moving to grab a mug from the cupboard to get started on a cup of tea for the woman she very rarely saw anymore. "Hermione!" She called through the house then, loud enough for the brunette to hear her from her position on the other side.
"I can't believe you and Granger" Cho laughed then as she dropped the flowers she had been holding onto the side. Quite comfortable in the home she had frequented since Storm moved in. They had been much closer at the start of things, though when Cho had started up a new relationship with her now husband, he had expressed a discomfort with how close they still were.
"Neither can I" Storm replied, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. Dark eyes flicking to the doorway as Hermione entered, her hair pulled up into a bun wearing one of Storm's t-shirts to work in.
"Cho! What a surprise!" Hermione called, flicking her eyes towards Storm who seemed to shrug at the unspoken question.
"I've just come to congratulate you both. It's lovely to hear Storm's finally settling down. Though, I did think she was joking when she said who" Cho teased, flicking her dark eyes to the younger woman now stood propped up against the counter, holding out a mug of tea for her to take.
"I would never joke about such things" Storm quipped, though the sheepish smile that tugged at her lips told a different story. Something that intrigued the older woman to no end.
"These are for you Hermione" The former Ravenclaw stated as she motioned with her free hand towards the flowers that had been set on the side. "Storm told me you two were moving in together, and had said about how kind you had been about Joey. It means a lot; I know he'll be well looked after" She spoke seriously.
It was always a concern for her, she had respected Storm's decisions always but had really questioned her choice of partners. Though there had never been any to last more than an evening, she did wonder what the person she eventually settled with would be like. Finding out about their relationship had definitely lifted a weight from her shoulders.
"Thank you, they're lovely" The brunette spoke quietly, a little bit taken aback by the gesture. She wasn't sure why but she hadn't quite expected such an accommodating reaction from the woman she had once known as Harry's very significant crush.
"Are you still going to his Hogsmede weekend?" The other woman questioned then, eyes diverted and now fixed on Storm as she sipped at the tea she had been given.
"We're going with Ginny; did you want to come? I'm sure Mr. Avoid anything magical at all costs wouldn't mind you going to visit Joe" She spoke a little wryly, her voice tinged with something akin to frustration. Though Hermione was sure she hadn't quite heard Storm sound so fed up before.
"I think I might be able to meet you there, I already warned him there would be the opportunity for me to visit." Cho spoke with a heavy sigh, her eyes downcast towards the floor as her shoulders seemed to droop a little bit. Hermione wondered then what it might be all about, quietly going about sorting the flowers into a mug she had transfigured into a vase.
"He shouldn't really have a say in this. You're going to go and see your son. I'm sorry he doesn't like it but honestly, Cho it's not exactly going to change anytime soon." Storm stated, rubbing the back of her neck awkwardly. "I mean, he knew what he was getting into before he asked you to marry him. So surely, he should just suck it up. Nobody's asking him to get involved." Storm muttered, her voice tense.
"Storm, it's not that easy. I'm just trying to keep the peace between everyone." The older woman sighed again, moving to set her empty mug down. "I'll let you know what the plan is, but I would really like to come. He's sounded so excited in his letters, and I know he's just counting down the days. He's mentioned Honeydukes in every single letter." She added with a roll of her eyes, moving to press a friendly kiss to the Shifter's cheek.
"Well, the lad has good taste. Obviously, my genetics' have kicked in there" Storm smirked, as she lent down to pull the older woman in for a hug. Her lips quirking down into a sad smile as she gave her a tight squeeze.
"Obviously the good taste couldn't possibly come from me." Cho stated wryly before turning towards Hermione then, "I don't know how you put up with this" She laughed then as she moved to pull the brunette in for a quick hug.
"With much difficulty" Hermione teased, flicking dark eyes up to watch Storm brood quietly as she returned to her position against the countertop. Her own eyes vacant as she seemed to be deep in thought.
"Hey! Don't you two join forces" Storm grumbled, shaking her head in disbelief. "That's not fair" She muttered as she watched the mother of her child smirk at her. Though she was pleased that at least they seemed to get on. Unlike herself and Cho's husband, something that seemed to always come up whenever she saw the other woman.
"Oh hush. Anyway, I'll write to you. It was lovely to see you again Hermione, hopefully it won't be so long until the next time" She smiled kindly as she made her way out and into the evening. Disapparating with a pop, leaving the other two to ponder the events in the quiet.
"So… there's some tension there then" Hermione probed, moving to press a kiss to the hinge of Storm's jaw. The younger woman still not having relaxed from the mildly heated discussion.
"Her husband is a muggle, and he really doesn't like me. He thinks magic is unnatural and he thinks I'm even worse" She sighed heavily, shaking her head as she explained. "I really don't get what she sees in him. I don't like Joe being around him, but so long as he doesn't do magic in the house, he's absolutely fine. He didn't take after me, and that makes things better" Storm explained, the frustration returning to her tone.
It was quite clear that Storm cared quite a lot about Cho and what went on there. It also made sense for her to worry about their son and his safety around the man. But there wasn't a whole lot she could do or suggest to make the situation better.
"How bizarre" Hermione replied finally, moving to stir the pasta that was bubbling away on top of the stove. Storm very clearly distracted from the task. "Were you two quite close then? Before he was involved?" She questioned, unsure of really what else to say.
"We've been friends since Hogwarts even before the war and that year. We worked well together after everything happened. We did spend a lot of time together because we figured it was better for Joe. We didn't have feelings for each other anymore, but that made things easier I think. We were both very young and feelings would have made it messy" Storm explained, her dark eyes downcast as she went through the story with as little detail as possible. She figured Hermione didn't actually want to know the ins and outs of her previous relationship.
"It's funny actually, she almost tried to use me to make Harry jealous." Storm laughed then, shaking her head. "She thought you and him were secretly dating" The shifter mentioned, her face scrunching up in disgust at the thought of the green-eyed boy and Hermione being anything more than pals.
"She thought that Harry and I were together?" Hermione questioned, her voice becoming a little shrill as her features twitched up in disgust. Though there had been many rumours that had suggested such. Even one particularly nasty Prophet article had made the statement, only fuelling more nasty comments behind their backs.
"Apparently so, she was quite upset about it for a while. Though that didn't really last long" Storm stated simply. "I think it was quite obvious you had a pretty big thing for Ron though, she didn't believe me" the shifter added absently as she grabbed the pot of cooked pasta from the stove to drain it.
Hermione just huffed, shaking her head in protest. Arms folded across her chest in defiance as her jaw tightened a little bit at the playful accusation. "Well, then who did you have a thing for?" The older woman quipped her question, hoping to gain some insight into the Shifter's school days. It seemed Storm had paid quite a lot of attention to what was going on around her back then, something that surprised Hermione.
"You, Hermione." She admitted, though there was no waver in her voice at all. "I think that was quite obvious to everyone except for you. I got teased for it and everything" Storm stated, a crooked grin tugging her lips up to show sharp white teeth. "But that's alright, good things come to those who wait" She laughed then, waggling her eyebrows a little suggestively.
Hermione huffed again, unable to fight the blush that was now creeping across the bridge of her nose. She never would have guessed, not even now that she would be Storm's type. But it seemed the Shifter knew exactly what she had wanted, even back then.
"Clearly" Hermione stated simply, almost entirely lost for what else to really say. Her arms fell to her sides then, and she watched the Shifter pottering around a little dumbly.
"A little birdy told me something interesting the other day." Storm started, and from the look on her face she knew there was more ammunition for teasing. "I heard that you seemed to be rather obsessive every time the Prophet had something to say about me. Even going so far as to show Ron the articles, every time!" Her grin grew wider, crinkling her eyes at the corners as her dark stare fixed the older woman with a knowing stare.
"What are we having with the pasta?" Hermione questioned then, moving to peak into the pots on the stove still bubbling away. Her attempt to change the subject quite obvious, though it was the best she could do.
"Pasta sauce" Storm laughed then, pulling plates down from the cupboard so she could dish out their dinner finally. The day's events weighing heavily on her shoulders, leaving her ready for an early night. She was sure Hermione wouldn't protest, it felt as if they hadn't stopped at all.
"Do you think Cho will end up coming to see Joe? I mean, she did seem quite upset with the possibility of not being able to" Hermione questioned then as she moved to take a seat at the table.
"I think she will. She doesn't really ever let him dictate to her what she can and can't do when it comes to Joey." Storm shrugged as she joined the older woman at the table. A few drinks floating in front of her for a moment before finding their place on the table's surface.
"That will be nice, I don't think that's something I'd want to miss if it were my own child" Hermione spoke thoughtfully as she twisted her fork absently.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing him." Storm stated honestly, her eyes growing soft as she smiled a little sheepishly. It was still sort of bizarre to think about Storm already having a son. They had only met once, and it was rather brief. Though she figured with the way both Storm and Cho interacted there wouldn't be too many issues there.
"What do you think he'll say when he finds out we've moved in together?" Hermione questioned then, her curiosity peaking as she watched the younger woman think on her words for a moment.
"I think he'll be happy. I know he hates it when I'm on my own, he doesn't really like to think about it. So yeah, I think he'll be happy." Storm spoke confidently then, so sure of the reaction they would get from the lad in question. "I suppose we don't have too long to find out" She stated with a wry smirk. The Hogsmede weekend was now looming, less than a week away.
"I hope so" Hermione stated honestly. Her keen mind pulling up the thought of their own future, the prospect of having a family of their own together. The mechanics of whether or not it was too soon to really put a plan together. Though she found she couldn't bring herself to be upset if it were to accidentally happen. The topic of time, and how quickly they were going wasn't really something that bothered her. Nor did it seem to bother Storm at all.
"Don't worry Hermione. If he definitely got anything from me it's being unphased by things, especially if those things make the people he loves happy. We'll all adjust to the situation together" She smiled reassuringly. The idea of her already being a mother once again crossing Hermione's mind. Storm was already there; she was already a parent and she knew what it was like. Though she supposed raising a child with a friend rather than a partner was slightly different. There was no doubt in her mind about how much she truly couldn't wait for what was to come.
"Good things really do come when you least expect it" Hermione quipped a little absently, a wide smile tugging at her lips as she sipped at the Butterbeer Storm had gotten for her. There was this whole new chapter unfolding right before her eyes, and she couldn't quite find it in her to be apprehensive at all.
Every way she looked at it, every calculation she made it just all made sense in the end. Everything Storm made sense, though not in the literal sense. The actual Storm was incredibly bizarre in herself, but in Hermione's mind she was just right. It was such a contrast to what she had experienced with anything previously, she just couldn't will herself to wait any longer at all.
Her heart swelled with pride every time she thought of what they were doing. What they had accomplished in such a short space of time. With every small smile the younger woman gave her, and every protective embrace. She knew time was but a notion that had no place within something that felt so natural. It would unfold at a rate that it decided, and they were simply along for the ride.
Hermione had no qualms over the way things were heading, no worries or fears when it came to their relationship. Not anymore, not now she knew what it was like to just be. She finally had allotted herself the opportunity to explore what truly made her feel, and this was exactly it. She would be damned if anything got in the way of that.
