~~~Chapter Seventeen~~~
~~~Previous~~~
We leave the store and are standing on the bridge. "Ami-chan, are you really okay? No regrets?" Usagi asks.
"When I study, it will be the same no matter where I am. I will study much harder and become a good doctor." Ami-chan states.
Usagi entwines her hands together in front of her chest. "I'm sure you will, Ami-chan!"
"That's right!" Luna agrees. "Though, it's something Usagi-chan could never do!"
"Luna!" Usagi scolds causing all of us including Usagi to start laughing.
~~~Present~~~
~~~3rd POV~~~
Ojii-chan stops sweeping and lets out a sigh. "Why have girls stopped coming recently?"
Yuuichirou leans down next to him. "Who knows?"
Rei holds out a magazine. "Here."
"What's this?" Ojii-chan questions.
"Nanako magazine had an article on 'Watch out for the dirty old man at Hikawa Shrine'." Rei states.
Ojii-chan drops the broom and it lands on the floor. "What?!" He grabs the magazine and flicks through the pages until he finds the article. "What? It's true!" He lowers his head and closes his eyes in disappointment.
Rei claps her hands together. "Ojii-chan, I hope you greatly regret your actions."
"No, I'll leave you in charge of the shrine now," Ojii-chan says.
"What?" Rei exclaims.
Ojii-chan turns around and looks up. "As of today, I will retire as a Shinto priest and pursue another profession!" He bows his head and walks off. "A shrine without any girls is like miso soup without the miso."
Rei and Yuuichirou watch him walk off in surprise.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
I watch up early and look down to see that Selene and Teddy are still asleep. I let out a soft chuckle and carefully get out of my bed. As soon as I do, my children move closer to each other and cuddle against each other.
I look at my clock to see that it isn't even 7 o'clock yet. I take a shower and get dressed in the dress that I wore when Selene, Teddy and Chibi-Usa first appeared. I come out of the shower to see that both Teddy and Selene are awake.
Selene washes up herself while I wash Teddy. Selene changes into another dress. She dresses in the new outfit that I brought for her. A white t-shirt, a black tie with a pink paw, a pink skirt with straps around the shoulders and an orange cat face on the side, black thigh socks with cat's ears and face at the top and pink boots with heels and black string. There are cat ears and a black cat's tails with a pink bow.
I change Teddy into a blue long-sleeved shirt, black trousers and shoes.
It isn't long before we are called down for breakfast and as soon as we are finished Usagi goes back into her room. She is wearing her usual white hooded top underneath a blue dress and a crescent moon necklace.
She sits at her table and starts her homework. I lean against her bed on the floor with Selene and Teddy in my lap snuggling into my chest but only after Selene also finished all of her homework. Crescent and Yue are laying next to me on their cat cushion fast asleep, letting out their happy purrs.
Luna comes into Usagi's room. "Good! Good!" she praises as she walks towards Usagi's table. She jumps on the table and sweatdrops. "I knew it!" Usagi has fallen asleep after only doing a little bit of her homework.
I see Chibi-Usa sneak into Usagi's room and starts patting down her sides causing Usagi to giggle before waking up. "Hey! What are you doing?!" Usagi says picking Chibi-Usa up.
"Give me the Silver Crystal!" Chibi-Usa demands.
Usagi sits down and places Chibi-Usa over her knee. "There's no way you can beat me!" She slaps Chibi-Usa's bottom. "That's right!" Usagi exclaims standing up, knocking Chibi-Usa off her knee. "Rei-chan asked me to work for her."
I stand up and catch Chibi-Usa before she fell to the ground. I place her down before picking Selene and Teddy back up. I head out with Usagi over to Rei's shrine.
~~~Rei's Shrine~~~
We are handing out talismans and charms while Rei is helping Usagi with her outfit. Selene and Teddy and sitting on my knee, snuggling into my chest, fast asleep even with the loud noise. "This outfit looks pretty cool!" Usagi beams.
"You look weird!" Chibi-Usa says.
"So what?!" Usagi replies back.
Mako-chan wipes her forehead. "But we sure have a lot of customers today."
Usagi sits down next to Mako-chan. "When there are so many beautiful shrine maidens, it's only natural to have more customers."
Ami-chan is sitting on the other side of the room. "I can't believe that I can actually earn money while I practice math."
"Rei-chan, please make sure to pay us well," Minako-chan adds.
"Don't worry; I will." Rei agrees.
Mako-chan turns around to look at Rei. "By the way, what kind of job did you Ojii-chan get?"
"Well, he started something weird," Rei admits.
Usagi, Chibi-Usa, Selene-chan, Teddy and I end up making holes in the sliding door and looking through. We sweatdrop at what we see.
"So that's Protect Esthe?" Usagi questions.
"It's supposed to be a new sport that's a combination of self-defence and calisthenics. But this isn't something that should be done at a shrine."
The doors are slammed open. "What did you say?!" Ojii-chan demands.
"Stop it! It's embarrassing! Don't you feel sorry for Yuuichirou, either?!" Rei scolds.
"Well…I don't mind…" Yuuichirou starts but is cut off by Ojii-chan. "Are you trying to take away this old man's purpose in life?"
"Purpose in life?! You just want to flirt with girls, right?!" Rei points out.
"Is it wrong?!" Ojii-chan demands.
"It is wrong!" Rei states before Rei and Ojii-chan glare at each other before Rei turns away, "Don't come crying to me when you get in trouble!" Rei walks away.
Ojii-chan is quick to become cheerful again as she turns to look at us. "What do you think? Why don't you join Protect Esthe?"
Usagi stands up, grabs my arm and laughs as she drags me away. She lets my arm go and runs back to get Chibi-Usa. "What are you doing?! Let me go, Usagi!"
I let out a soft chuckle as I pick up Selene and Teddy and follow after them.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Rubeus stares at the same map again as the second female, wearing yellow walks over to him. "Rubeus-sama, where is Koan?"
Rubeus turns slightly to look at her. "She has already started her operation. A new Crystal Point was discovered." The map turns to the side and the image of Hikawa Shrine appears. "She said she would replace this building's Crystal Power with Dark Power. She was so excited."
"Why is Koan the only one getting these assignments?" The second female demands. "It isn't fair!" Berthier and the third female, in green, nod their heads in agreement.
Rubeus sweatdrops slightly. "I don't think so."
~~~Hikawa Shrine~~~
"Come this way and take a look at this!" Ojii-chan calls out happily. "By joining Protect Esthe, anyone can become strong and beautiful!"
The females that walk by are quick to get away from him and walk off. Ojii-chan lets out a sigh. "So far, I have zero students." He lets out another sigh before looking back up. "Where in the world did Yuuichirou go to recruit students? I can't depend on him."
Luna-P lands in front of Ojii-chan causing him to look down. Chibi-Usa appears with a laugh and picks Luna-P up. "Do you want me to join?"
Ojii-chan sweatdrops and his eyebrow twitches. I was only going to accept older girls, but I guess it's better than having no one.
Chibi-Usa leans close with a determined look on her face. "Will I become strong?"
Ojii-chan sweatdrops and leans back. "Well, you want to become strong?"
Chibi-Usa nods her head. "Yeah!" If I want to get the Silver Crystal from Usagi, I have to become stronger!
Yuuichirou skids to a stop next to them. "Master!" A big crowd of females appears behind Yuuichirou.
"Oh! Who are these girls?" Ojii-chan questions.
Yuuichirou holds out his arms. "Look! I found all these students!"
Ojii-chan looks at the female with wide, happy eyes before a grin appears on his face. "That's my Yuuichirou! I knew you were promising!" He laughs happily.
~~~That Night~~~
Koan appears in the shrine at the top of the building where Ojii-chan is holding his Protect Esthe. She goes through the roof and appears inside and lands in the ring that is in the centre of the room.
She holds out her hands and points them towards the ring. "Dark Power!" Energy appears in her palms and goes into the ring beneath her, lighting up the whole room.
The energy disappears and goes into the ring itself. "Tomorrow will be something to look forward to." She chuckles before disappearing.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
~~~Next Day~~~
I change into the same clothes I wore yesterday and so does Selene. I change Teddy into the same ones as well as Mama washed them for us.
I head over to Rei's shrine with Usagi, Luna, Crescent, Yue, Selene-chan and Teddy. When we get there, Rei is washing the floor.
"Good morning, Rei-chan!/ Rei!" Usagi and I call out to her causing her to stop and look up.
"The greeting used during the day should be 'Hello!" She answers moodily.
"Rei-chan, you're in a bad mood!" Usagi says as she takes a step back in surprise.
"Rei-chan, did something happen?" Luna asks.
"Yuuichirou recruited a bunch of young girls!" Rei says angrily.
"Oh, I know. You're jealous!" Usagi says as she sits down with a smile on her face. Luna is next to her with a smirk on her face.
"It's not like that!" Rei denies it with a blush on her face.
"I know what's going on," Usagi says looking in the other direction.
Ojii-chan and Yuuichirou walk by. "Are all the girls here now?" Ojii-chan questions.
"Yes, master! They're waiting for you." Yuuichirou states.
"Good, good." Ojii-chan praises happily.
"Why do they have to do something so unnecessary?!" Rei says angrily.
Usagi stands up and grabs a hold of Rei's hand. "Let's go and check it out!"
"I'm not interested." Rei denies.
"Don't say that!" Usagi says with a pout.
~~~3rd POV~~~
The doors open. "Hello!" Ojii-chan calls out happily.
The females start cheering as soon as he does. "Master, good morning!" All the female begins clapping.
Ojii-chan's eyes widen happily and his mouth and eyebrow twitch. A perverted look appears on his face as he lifts his hands. "This is the life." He moves forward with his arms out wide as he claps hands with the females. "This is what I've been looking for all these years!"
He comes to a stop where a pair of legs appear in front of him. He looks up to see Koan in a purple outfit. She lets out a chuckle and holds out her hand, bent at her elbow. "With this many students, you'll need a female instructor; won't you?"
Hearts appear in Ojii-chan's eyes. "She's kawaii."
Koan holds out her other arm. "We are good at martial arts. Would you let us have the job?"
Another perverted look appears on Ojii-chan's face as he holds out his hands. "You're so kawaii!"
Koan snaps her fingers. "Do it!"
"Dumble!" The woman with orange hair next to her says.
A female panics as Dumble walks over to her. "Please don't!"
"Dumble!" She hits her and makes her fall through the rope and lands on the ring.
"Please, don't!" The female pleads.
Dumble makes her way onto the ring. "Dumble!"
Koan makes it over to the ring and holds onto the bottom rope. "Don't worry. She just going to coach you in the art of Protect Esthe."
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Usagi drags Rei to the same building as before. We look in to see a woman throwing another one in the air. "So scary…" Usagi says before Rei and Usagi close the door.
Both Rei and I turn our head's around when I sense an evil aura, Rei must have sensed the same.
"Ta-da!" Chibi-Usa cheers when we see that she has changed her outfit. Usagi and Rei sweatdrop. "Now, practice, practice!"
Usagi waves her arms. "Don't!"
We peek through the doors again to see the same woman thrown in the air. Chibi-Usa's face goes pale. "That looks painful…" She backs away. "Usagi, I'll listen to you and quit now. Bye!" She runs off.
Usagi looks at Rei. "What's going on?"
~~~3rd POV~~~
Dumble grabs the same woman and snacks her into the ring. "Dumble!"
The woman lands on her back before pushing herself back up before getting up with a glare. "I'll get you for that!"
Koan watches with a small smirk on her face and her arms folded across her chest. Good. That's the spirit.
The woman runs towards Dumble who lifts her leg and kicks her back. She falls over the rope. Ojii-chan sweatdrops and helps untangle her and she falls to the floor. "Are you okay? She's so violent."
Koan lifts her arm, bent at her elbow. "What do you think, master? Do you like the way we teach?"
"Well…" Ojii-chan trails off.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
I block out the conversation going on inside and try to focus on the evil energy. I can't seem to pinpoint where it is coming from though. I am snapped out of my thoughts when Yuuichirou walks towards us. We follow him inside.
"Wait! I am the coach!" Yuuichirou calls out.
"Yuuichirou…" Ojii-chan trails off.
The woman, Koan I believe, kneels next to Ojii-chan and put her hands on his shoulders. "Master, what are you going to do?"
"Now, master!" Yuuichirou demands.
"Ojii-chan!" Rei calls out.
"Master!" Yuuichirou calls out.
"Master!" Koan says slyly.
"Ojii-chan! You don't need to hesitate! Yuuichirou has been very loyal to you, Oji-chan! Or, are you going to betray Yuuichirou?" Rei demands upset.
Ojii-chan blushes and pokes his forefingers together.
"That is not up to you to decide! Master, what do you think?" Koan says slyly as she presses her body to his back.
"Master!" Yuuichirou calls out.
Hearts appear in Ojii-chan's eyes before he points at Koan. "I pick her."
"Master!" Yuuichirou says before he bows his head.
"Ojii-chan!" Rei shouts.
"Oji-chan, that's just mean!" Usagi adds.
"It was. Yuuichirou is very loyal to Ojii-chan." I say softly, disappointment in my voice. Selene and Teddy nod their heads in agreement causing me to chuckle softly.
"Oh, it's all right," Yuuichirou says before slowly walking out.
"Yuuichirou…" Rei walks up to Ojii-chan. "How dare you treat Yuuichirou like that?! I'm so disappointed in you!"
"You got a problem with that?!" Ojii-chan demands.
We leave and go back to where the girls are. "So, you had a fight with your Ojii-chan," Minako-chan says.
"Rei, I know how you feel. Ojii-chan mistreated your beloved Yuuichirou." Mako-chan admits.
"That's not the problem!" Rei denies.
Ami-chan turns to look at us. "But I think the harder the problem, the more it's worth solving." She opens her math textbook and points at a page. "Like this problem, which took me three hours to solve."
The girl's sweatdrop before Usagi turns to Rei. "By the way, Rei-chan, don't you think that coach is a bit weird?"
"Yeah…" Rei trails off.
"I wonder if Ojii-chan will be okay?" Usagi questions.
"No matter what happens, I'm not responsible." Rei denies.
"Oh, Rei-chan, you're so cool!" Usagi says with one eye closed.
"Oh! Hot!" Rei says as she burns her hand with the tea.
"Rei-chan!" Usagi exclaims worriedly.
"Oh, sorry!" Rei says softly.
Minako-chan kneels next to Rei. "What's wrong? Rei, this isn't like you."
~~~3rd POV~~~
Dumble throws the same woman and she lands on her back and the dark energy surrounds her before it surrounds the whole ring. The energy enters all of the women and they begin fighting each other.
Koan chuckle in her mind. If I keep expanding the Dark Power, the future of Crystal Tokyo will be destroyed.
Ojii-chan pales as he watches the fighting. "What is this?! I wanted to do something more fun." He runs over to the ring. "Stop! Stop! Stop!" He jumps onto the ring. "Everyone, what's wrong with you?!"
"Dumble!" She hits another woman and kicks another.
"The motto of Protect Esthe is 'Strength and Beauty'. And as an added bonus, a little fun for me…" Ojii-chan states.
The women surround him with glares on their faces. "Shut up!"
Ojii-chan sweatdrops. "What's wrong?"
A woman sent an attack towards Ojii-chan. "Die!"
Ojii-chan leans back on the ring and sprints forward with his fist out in front of him. "There, there, there, there, there and there." He comes to a stop behind the women and claps his hands together. "That should do it."
One by one the women fall to the ground unconscious. Koan lets out a laugh. "Well done, master!" She snaps her fingers. "Dumble, why don't you be his opponent?"
Energy surrounds Dumble as she holds out her arms with her fists clenched. "Dumble!"
Her appearance changes. Her muscles grow larger, her skin changes to a slightly green colour and she looks like a pro wrestler with her hair pointed straight up and she is wearing a large purple/pink cape.
"Dumble!" She calls out once in her true form.
Koan jumps down and also goes back into her true appearance. "Do your ultimate technique, the Dumble Elbow Drop!"
"Dumble!" She jumps in the air, her cape coming off and heads towards Ojii-chan.
"Ouch…" Ojii-chan places a hand on his head.
Dumble points out her elbow and slowly descend near Ojii-chan. Rei, who had rushed inside, lets out a gasp. She rushes forward and pushes her Ojii-chan out of the way causing Dumble's elbow to land on the back of her leg causing her to let out a sound of pain.
"Rei!" Ojii-chan calls out before rushing over to Rei.
Rei sits up and places her hand on her leg. "This is why I told you not to do this." She scolds.
"Why bring that up? You don't need to worry. I can take care of this myself!" Ojii-chan points out with his fist clenched.
He stands up and walks over to Dumble. "Come on!"
"Dumble!" She tries kicking him, but he moves out of the way.
She brings her leg back and Ojii-chan's eyes widen. Rei rushes forward and moves in front of him causing her to get hit instead. They both get pushed back and bang into the post.
"Rei! Are you all right?" Ojii-chan says before his eyes widen when he looks in front of him.
"Dumble!" She lifts her foot and brings it down. Rei covers her Ojii-chan with her body and her back gets kicked. Dumble continues to do the same and Rei continues to get hit.
"Rei, I didn't know you cared about me this much," Ojii-chan admits.
"Of course! You're the only ojii-chan I have." Rei says weakly.
Tears appear in the corner of Ojii-chan's eyes. "Rei…"
"Dumble, the Double Lariat!" Koan orders.
Dumble crosses her arms and energy surrounds them before energy is released and heads towards Rei and Ojii-chan. Ojii-chan pushes Rei out of the way and he gets hit by the attack instead.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Rei doesn't answer because all of a sudden she runs out to where Ojii-chan is. I put Selene-chan and Teddy down before following after Usagi, who just followed Rei. We get there in time to see Ojii-chan get hit by an energy blast.
"Oh! Rei-chan and Ojii-chan!" Usagi exclaims.
"I'll heal him later," I say softly.
"Moon Crystal Power Makeup!" We both call out at the same time.
Koan has Dumble throw her up in the air. "Koan Dark Power Flip!" Blue flames surround her. Usagi takes out her cutie moon rod and throws it at her exactly like a boomerang and stop her.
"Who's trying to stop us?!" Koan demands angrily.
"Crushing a naughty little ojii-chan's pleasure in life…You've gone too far! For love and justice, the pretty sailor suited soldier, Sailor Moon!" Usagi calls out.
"Likewise, Sailor Celestia!" I call out softly.
"In the name of the moon, we'll punish you!" We call out at the same time.
Koan isn't listening as she is too busy putting on makeup. "Did you say something?" Usagi falls slightly. "Dumble, now!" Koan orders.
"Dumble!" A blast of energy is sent towards us. I push Usagi behind me but before it got too close a red rose appears in front of the energy blast and stops it. I lean down and get the rose and put it in my pocket space before looking to where Mamo-chan was. "Tuxedo Mask-sama/ Tuxedo Mask…!" Usagi and I call out.
"Training yourself to become strong is good, but I hope you do not lose your gracefulness." Mamo-chan comments.
"Dumble!" Dumble says.
Tuxedo Mask and Dumble do a flying dropkick towards each other. Tuxedo Mask's kick connected dropping Dumble to the ground. "Now, Celestia! Sailor Moon!"
"Right!" We agree.
"Moon Princess…Halation!" We both call out at the same time.
Dumble turns to dust and the gem on her belt fades to grey. Koan gets out her hand mirror and looks at her face. "Oh, no! I got a blotch! You will pay dearly for what you've done to my skin! Dark Fire!"
We dodge out the way, but the door is destroyed, and the room is filled with smoke. Usagi and I run out the door with Koan following close behind us.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Rei places her Ojii-chan head on her lap. "How dare you…do this to my ojii-chan?"
Rei carefully places his head on the ground. "Ojii-chan…" She stands up, her transformation wand in her hand. "I will avenge you."
"Mars Star Power Makeup!" Rei calls out.
Rei holds up her hand as a stream of red stars swirls around it, alighting on her fingernails turning them red. Her transformation stick appears spinning and as she grabs hold of it the Mars symbol inside the star begins to spin. She turns around as streams of fire emitting from the stick which finally coalesced into several rings around her body. The rings contract and become the various pieces of her sailor fuku and she assumes her finishing pose.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
"Dark Fire!" Koan shouts.
I dodge but Usagi just stands there but luckily Rei appears and pushes her out the way before ducking. It destroys the stone behind her. Rei stands up with an angry look on her face. "It's my turn now! Fire Soul!"
Their powers clash before Koan pushes Rei's fire back "Watch out!" Usagi shouts. She goes to step forward, but I take a hold of one of her shoulders as Mamo-chan appears behind me. "Wait! Don't worry; Mars will be okay."
Rei begins to glow red. "How dare you…How dare you do that to Ojii-chan?!" Rei creates a ring of fire before the rings turned into eight smaller rings that fly towards Koan. "Burning…Mandala!" This destroys Koan dark fire and makes her tutu skirt catch fire.
"Ahh! My precious dress!" Koan yells before disappearing.
Rei lets out a sigh and wipes her forehead. "I did it!"
~~~Next Day~~~
"What? So Ojii-chan stopped doing Protect Esthe?" Usagi questions.
"Instead, this time, he's started Protect Jazz Dance!" Rei comments.
"Huh?" Usagi questions.
We peak through the doors to see soft music playing and Yuuichirou, Ojii-chan and Chibi-Usa are standing in the ring lifting their legs. "This doesn't hurt at all!"
"Master needs me with him after all!" Yuuichirou says happily.
"I can't wait for the girls to show up!" Ojii-chan comments.
We sweatdrop. Ojii-chan doesn't learn does he, oh well. He wouldn't be ojii-chan if he did. I think fondly.
