Chapter 25 : Horrible Framing
"Welcome simps! This is the guy with the mustache, Mustachio!" A guy with a fake baritone voice introduced himself dramatically on the screen. "And today, we will feature a new Vtuber that we recommend you to watch." He said before showing an image of a silver haired girl in a red beret and was smiling at the screen. "This is Sakaguchi Kotomi, or Seimitsu-Jou as nicknamed by her fans." The guy said before showing some clips.
It was some clips of Kotomi playing PUBF and GOS. Her amazing gameplays and even her artistic talent on both 2D and 3D arts. Then it turned back into an image of a cartoonized guy wearing a top hat and carrying an old cane with a cartoonized mustache on his face.
"As you can see, those are just some examples of Kotomi's amazing displays on her streams. Majority of her streams are focused on her playing PUBF or GOS." Mustachio narrated before showing a clip of her making an art. "But she sometimes make a stream where her fans can request her to make an art. And oh boy, you will be surprised how fast she draws on that Paint Tool!" He said excitedly as he shows an example of Kotomi drawing a magical girl so quickly that it seems like the video is put on a fast forward.
There are also some clips shown where she made some 3D models which she released publicly to be used by anyone. The file hosting site that she uses is Star Drive, the equivalent of Cloud Drive in this world.
"Now that you see those short examples, let us start with the appetizer. Her humble beginnings." The guy said before the screen changes into a video of Kotomi's badly made model.
This is also the video when she first became a Vtuber.
While this is happening, a woman who was watching this video was gritting her teeth as she bit into her nails.
"What's so amazing with this bitch!?" The woman spat in disgust as she glared at the screen where Mustachio was telling the viewers the quick transformation of Kotomi's 2D model.
Then she saw the topic changing into her history.
"Tsk! She's not even good! I am sure she is just hiring someone to do those gameplay!" The woman spat again as she saw a small clip of Kotomi's gameplay on GOS.
The video goes on by telling about Kotomi and also making a lot of praises on her way. This is making this woman much madder.
This woman is angry due to Kotomi herself.
This woman is a Japanese Virtual YouTuber who goes by the name of Wakai Seijin. And her true name is Ikuryu Honda.
She is a part of a group known as Yubelverse. And she is on the 13th Generation of Yubelverse, with their gen group being called the Yubel Academia.
Her character as Wakai Seijin is a highschooler who likes to act like an adult even though she behaves like a child. She is also sweet most of the time and have fun interacting with her fans and doing most of their requests (barring the ones that are prohibited per her group's regulations). Her fans mostly calls her on a pet name like Sei-chan, Wakai-tan, or even Loli Sei.
But while her persona was like that on her stream, in reality she was a really spiteful woman.
She can't really touch the people who are too popular or protected from those big companies, but for small timers or even her fellow new members, she will use her full seniority and abuse her authority to put them down so no one can get on her popularity. And she was doing it behind the back of the management, with some people colluding to do what she wants.
Her real appearance was quite alluring that she can easily become a celebrity if she wanted to.
But the current fad on this world are streamers and not celebrities. The entertainment industry was currently on a decline and the streaming industry was on the rise. Many streamers are becoming popular on the globe, with most of them being Vtubers.
So Honda auditioned to become a member of the Yubelverse. It's not because she admired Vtubers or anything but because she saw that it was her way to become rich and popular quickly.
And she have a high intellect. She was a graduate on Tokyo University, on the course of IT and Computer Engineering. She also have a good figure, a nice voice, and she can easily do her math in a quick manner.
But those things doesn't matter in this world. Most job opportunities these days are all those factories or companies who have low salaries and unpaid overtime and vacation works. Entertainment industries these days mostly asks the impossible for their talents due to their desire to increase the appeal of their industry to the mass once again. Even idol industries are currently called a Dead End Venture due to it being not popular at all and any funds thrown on it are just wasted to nothingness.
The only decent companies and business where she can work are already overloaded with talented applicants like her. And those applicants might not even be noticed by those companies because they already have a lot of spare men who are as talented as them due to their company being the rarity these days.
So the only path left is to become a streamer. Not just a streamer, it will be better if she became a Vtuber from a popular group.
Because she was confident on herself, so she auditioned and then she passes.
It might have to do with her doing some passes on the interviewers or making some bribes on the background.
She manage to take down any of her competition to become one of the six members of the 13th gen of Yubelverse.
She looks at streamers in disdain and thinks of them as losers who doesn't know how the life works. So she have a high ambition of overtaking the popularity of every popular Vtubers by using her superior talents (she proclaimed to herself).
But it all came crashing down when she learned that she can't even do that because those Vtubers she looks down on have a solid foundation on their image. She can't destroy what was built upon many years and even a decade.
With this event, her narcissism became worse. Her broken ego can't accept being the one below on those she saw as inferior to her. So she was using everything in her arsenal to destroy any future competitors and potential threats to her fame.
These includes her body and her fame. By using her body, she can acquire some hormonal males at her service. As for her fame, her fans will simply destroy any person she wants by humiliating them online.
Of course she can't do this publicly so she was doing it on her own circle where she can easily do things that can't be heard or seen by her management side.
She is not the only one who was doing this. There are many people on this world who also chose to become a part of a Vtuber group because it have a higher pay than working on somewhere else. There are also some who are just spiteful of the existence of the Vtubers and was doing their best to destroy what became the commonality to the mass.
Anyway, Honda's routine was always browsing the internet to lookout for any new Vtubers whenever she was done with her scheduled streams. This is what she is doing so she can easily see if someone is threatening her position.
And there is one. The one who was also known as Sakaguchi Kotomi.
Just like her character, Sakaguchi Kotomi was also a female student. Though she seems to be deluding herself to be forever seventeen. Honda was thinking that Kotomi's true identity is just an ugly middle aged woman.
It irritates Honda that someone was using the same template as her character. A female highschool student.
She was still fine if they are using another template. It won't hurt her popularity that much. But using a template that she was also using will lead to people to comparing her to that person.
She won't be interested if it was like that, but Kotomi was just a Solo Vtuber who currently have 1,000+ subscribers in her first month. It seems like currently, Kotomi's subscribers was on 2,000+ and nearing 3,000.
It might not be impressive for the eyes of people but for her, this is already alarming.
Even when Honda, as Seijin, was recruited as one of the members of a popular Vtuber group, it still took her a long time before she got to that kind of numbers. Her first week easily got her to 10,000 subs but as months passed, it slowed down. It's been three years since she became a part of Yubelverse but she was still at 100,000 subs.
And a solo Vtuber who seems to be working on her lonesome got those subs and it was increasing as time passed. It's unlike her who slowly declined until her subscriber count stagnated from 90,000 ~ 110,000. There are people who unsubscribe to her while it was being replaced by those who will subscribe to her. It repeated like that for three whole years. It only increases in count once a month.
So Honda was feeling threatened. And she was also feeling frustrated.
She doesn't want to be compared to anyone. Because she saw herself as the best in this industry so she can't let anyone to surpass her.
That's why, she decided to destroy the image of Kotomi.
'It's always like that. A single crack and it will continue until it is broken.' She thought with a sinister look on her face.
For her, she have an image to uphold. And she won't let anyone to surpass her on that department.
'I'll show you who is better, loser!' She thought to herself with a dangerous glint on her eyes.
It's been a few days since Ayumi decided to become the founder of Hololive.
Though she decided to recruit all the known Hololive members, she can't really look for them without knowing where they are. She still have a stream to do and she can't also leave Fubuki alone on the house just so she can go around the world to look for the other forty girls.
So she decided to let the world take it's course and stay with her house. She was hoping that her Title was true to it's description and she can have a high chance of encountering any of the girls.
She was currently setting up her streaming equipments and also making some adjustments to her cameras before she booted up her computer.
When she booted it up, she acquired some prompts of her completing some objectives.

When her rewards appeared behind her, she quickly uses her Portal to put all of them on her Forbidden Room.
She was slowly opening all her chest that she got on her system since she collaborated with Fubuki. She got a lot of stuffs since then.
There are stuffs that makes her jaw drop by just seeing it's description. These are things like 100 Exobytes Hard Drive or even 10 Zetabytes of Hard Drive. There are also 500 GB Ram or even Video Cards and other additional parts of a CPU that was outright impossible to this current age.
She got so much that she manage to do a complete makeover of her streaming room.
She also acquired a lot of outfits and accessories that she can use for either her models or her friend's models.
It seems like having acquired the Hololive Founder title, she can give the outfits she acquired on the system to Fubuki or everyone else who will become the Hololive Members in the future.
Other than upgrades for her CPUs, she also acquired a lot of devices like gamepads, game consoles, smartphones, and even some televisions. There are also many gadgets like drones, cameras, sound systems, and even a lot of things that can't be considered real in this current age.
There are also some weird things she got like some weapons and anomalous garbs of some sorts. There are also things like esoteric objects, unrealistic seeds, etc.
Basically, she acquired a lot of things both necessary and unnecessary.
She also acquired some VPs and FPs on her chest (as surprising as it is because it was her first time acquiring those on a chest).
Though she still didn't manage to open all the chest in this week because it was getting too narrow on that room. She was thinking of buying a new home just for the two of them.
Expanding the house is pretty much impossible because there is no free area to expand to.
She was also thinking about making a new area using her abilities. She have a lot of FP and by using it, she can easily acquire an ability that can increase the spatial size of an area.
Though she doesn't want to do that because she was scared of people from NASA or some others noticing the increase in size on Earth. They can easily do that because they occasionally check the geological size of Earth to see if there is any changes on it.
Anyway, Ayumi got a lot of things on her chests and she was thinking of looking for a new house because her house can't handle the amount of things she got. It would be better if she can even buy a whole residence so she can shelter her future friends.
She have a plan of inviting the counterparts of the Hololive Characters in this world, though she will only do that if she encounters them.
That was what Ayumi was thinking as she finishes putting all the rewards she got on the already cluttered Forbidden Room. She really needs a new place to store those things.
She can't use the Storage Shack that she have besides this house because it was outside and she was anxious of someone slipping up and taking some of the rewards that she got on the system just because she put it on that place. She also doesn't want to make a complete upgrade of that storage shack using her cheat power because some people might become curious what kind of materials was used to make those mithrils or the other esoteric materials that she have.
It would be very bad if even the government took an interest to her just because of making her storage shack an impenetrable place.
While Ayumi's mind was thinking of where to acquire a new place for herself and her whole group, she got to her Chirper account, only to be surprised when she saw some post on her account.
Specifically, it was a post that she somehow made even though she didn't have any recollection of posting it. It was posted just last night, approximately 2 AM. There are two posts in fact...

Seeing those two posts and the hate that she was getting on her fans, she was so baffled that she just froze.
'When did this... happen...?' Ayumi thought to herself in confusion.
She tried to recall what she did on that evening.
She knows that she finishes her stream first before waiting for Fubuki's stream to finish. Fubuki always does a late night stream and Ayumi was the one who was coordinating her stream so it won't become as dull when just doing it alone.
After Fubuki was done on her stream, the both of them meet each other to say their good nights before going to their rooms and she remembers wearing her sleepwear first before going to her bed.
She recall that she slept at 2:30 AM. Then she wakes up on 7 AM.
Currently, it was 8:12 AM. So the post might have happen on 2 AM and 5 AM respectively.
She can't remember writing any of these on 2 AM and she was sleeping from 2:30 AM up to 7 AM. So it was impossible for her to even write that second post.
The only thing she can think of is...
'Someone hacks into my account!'
Right, there is someone who hacks into her account.
Chirper, while it was a long running social website, have some flaws on it's security. People can easily hack into any accounts so long as they know some advanced hacking techniques.
She can't believe someone would hack into her account and use it to stain her image. They basically destroyed what she built up until now.
Of course people wouldn't think that someone is hacking into her account. She was still a newbie Vtuber. And she wasn't that important at the great passage of history. She wasn't even threatening to any countries or companies out there. So who would even think of hacking into her account.
She might have a good income on her name thanks to some of her generous donators (with the most generous being Phantasmic) but it still won't make sense to just destroy her image just for her money. The most possible thing to do to her is to hack into her bank account itself or blackmail her by threatening her to expose her real identity to the internet if she doesn't give in to the hacker's demand.
None of that happens. So for the people, she might as well have posted it. It's impossible for a hacker to just hack into a nobody's account just for shits and giggles. If they want to make a big impact, they should have targeted the big names of the Vtuber industry, like Yubel who was the sole leader of the whole Yubelverse.
'Because no one would think someone is hacking into my account, people will think that I am the one who posted it. It was even cemented because of that second post!' Ayumi thought in dread as she makes her conclusion.
The first post is about her throwing a tantrum. Then on her second post, it was being shown that she was sober because she was supposedly drunk at that time, and it implies that she was depressed so she was taking some antidepressants, which also shows that she might have some tendencies to do drugs (because most druggies on this world uses this reason just to take their fix). And she made a hole on her post, which stated that she was basically homeless and she only have a potato computer on her hands. This cemented the fact that she was high on drugs or maybe she was drunk and high at the same time.
She can't be homeless if she can easily make arts and 3D models for herself. She can't also play online games much more smoothly if she have a vintage computer. There is also the fact that she was (thought of as) high on drugs at that time so her mind might be so muddled that she was too delusional when making that post.
Which she didn't because she didn't make any of those post.
The hacker basically made a smart move to destroy her whole image. Two posts that broke her character completely, showing the people her "True Colors" when in fact, it was another person who for some reason wanted to spite on her and kill her career in an instant.
It rattled Ayumi's mind as she saw that there are people out there who would suddenly do this to her. She doesn't remember making enemies somewhere. Only Senryuu-dou and the fans of the pro players from GOS are the one she recalls having some grudges against her.
'Is it the action on one of them?' She thought to herself before shaking her head. 'No, that Yakuza leader promised that I won't be touched by their group so long as I don't poke my nose on their affairs. Yanjiro and the others' fans won't also touch me because the players themselves already made a statement not to bully me.' Ayumi thought to herself, correcting her doubts on the other party. 'Though... I think there is one person...'
She thought as she recalls KumaSniper.
While Yanjiro and the others already apologized to her because they wrongfully accused her of cheating, KumaSniper was just silent and didn't give any response to the matter. He might be indifferent to the matter at all or he was angry at her and he was spitting on her apology by not giving a sorry in her way.
She doesn't know and she can only make conjectures about it without making any progress at all.
'... For now, I should find out who is hacking into my account.' While she was thinking like that, she suddenly heard a click on her computer.
It was the sound of an image being taken.
She quickly took a look on her webcam and she saw it was pointed on her face. Her face which is still not covered because she is still not wearing her streaming equipments. She was planning on making a post on her Chirper about her plans for today's stream so she didn't wear her streaming equipment at first.
And now, her appearance was shown. Her appearance was just captured by her own webcam.
Then she saw her cursor moving on it's own. This causes her to panic as she grabs her mouse.
"Ah! I am still being hacked!" Ayumi screamed in panic as she made an attempt to stop this occurrence.
She was inputting commands on her keyboard due to her mouse not working. It seems like the hacker manages to hack deeply into her computer.
'Nothing is working!?' She thought in surprise as she saw that all master and override commands for computer was denied.
The one hacking into her was a professional one.
To show that the hacker was such a pro, a jumpscare of some horrifying mummy suddenly pops up on the screen of her computer with a scream of a banshee and an ear piercing drop of cymbals resounded in her whole room. Even her sound system and her monitor was hacked.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" This made her yelped in fear due to the surprise of the jumpscare.
It seems like the hacker also knows that she was scared of the horror genre. She was basically frozen for a moment due to that scary sound and the sudden jumpscare.
It only took her a second before she quickly recovered herself. She immediately uses her Psychokinesis to unplugged the computer, shutting it down for good.
"Hah... hah... who is hacking into me!?" She wailed in distress as she tries to calm her breathing down.
After that, she tried to open her computer but when she booted it up again, a new jumpscare occurs on her boot-up sequence, causing her to jump in fear.
Because she was surprised at the jumpscare that she didn't manage to control her strength and jumps with a strength impossible to human. It essentially destroyed the streaming room as she moves beyond the speed of sound.
She immediately found herself on the skies of Yokohama because of this.
"... Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu." She cried in distress as she slowly fell down to her house.
Though she still have a mind to slow her descent using her Psychokinesis, she suddenly felt tired due to that short encounter.
As she landed on her streaming room, she saw the mess that she made due to her uncontrolled jump. The roof was essentially gone and anything on her streaming room was scattered all over. Though some of her equipments are fine due to it's impossible durability, some of her devices and equipments are fragile and can't take those abuse. So she can also see some of her equipments snapped or broken beyond recognition.
The floor was much worse, there is now a hole that leads to the laundry room on the first floor, with the lights and wirings there currently making some sparks due to it being undone because of her jump.
She quickly controlled the electricity and everything with her Psychokinesis before putting it all into inactivity. She have a high level of Psychokinesis and superhuman awareness so she can even see the molecular structure of some things and control it with her mind. So she easily manages to repair some of the things in her house by just putting the right molecular structures on their bonds. Though it was a rough patching because she wasn't that knowledgeable about molecules. She was doing it all by instinct.
So now, there is no electricity from her house due to her breaking some lines of it. Her streaming room is a total mess because she can't focus on arranging it all neatly. And she was exhausted because of the ordeal awhile ago.
"... Who is hacking my computer...?" She muttered to herself in depression.
In an unknown place on Japan...
A guy sitting in front of his computer in this small cramp room stretches his body for a bit. After hearing some popping sound, he sighed in relief before taking a cellphone, a type of phone that can be considered a vintage in this world.
After putting a number on that phone, he puts that into his ears before smiling as he speaks.
"Yo babe, I got what ya wanted."
"Is that so, then please go with the usual. I'll leave the rest to you." He heard a voice of a woman on the other side of the phone.
"O'course, you ma best customer! An'time then?"
After he said that, the woman he called dropped the call.
After that, he whistled to himself as he got to his work.
"Aight! Time t'do some old-fashioned humiliating! Tha'babe was payin up a shit ton jus t'break sum lives!" He said with that weird accent of his as he get his hands on his keyboard.
Ayumi doesn't know, her struggle awhile ago is just the beginning...

So I somehow managed to get my internet back. Though I don't know when it will act funny again so I might become inactive then and there. So look out for that!
Anyway, this chapter hurts me in a spiritual level while I am writing this. In fact, this arc wounded my soul!
So this fourth arc already have a title. This is the Deep Envy Arc.
It was a lame arc name and the arc started with a whiplash, but this arc is IMPORTANT.
This arc was already planned when I was done on the first arc. This is the arc where Ayumi will develop her character. She literally need to change her ways if she wants to know who is targeting her.
I know this might cause some of you to drop this story. But I can't just not include this scenario if I want to continue with this story.
So I am so sorry if you are disappointed or frustrated at what is happening. It even hurts me when I am writing those spiteful words above and making Ayumi suffer...
