~~~Chapter Eighteen~~~
~~~Previous~~~
We peak through the doors to see soft music playing and Yuuichirou, Ojii-chan and Chibi-Usa are standing in the ring lifting their legs. "This doesn't hurt at all!"
"Master needs me with him after all!" Yuuichirou says happily.
"I can't wait for the girls to show up!" Ojii-chan comments.
We sweatdrop. Ojii-chan doesn't learn does he, oh well. He wouldn't be ojii-chan if he did. I think fondly.
~~~Present~~~
~~~3rd POV~~~
Berthier walks over to a mirror waving a fan in front of her. "It's so hot."
The second female, in yellow, is sitting in front of her mirror and the third female, in green, is also in front of her mirror applying lipstick. She looks away from the mirror and towards the others. "What do you think of this lipstick? I'm thinking about bringing the colour of the dead into fashion this summer."
Berthier turns to look at her. "Black is the colour of darkness." She chuckles and moves her fan and places her arm over her eyes. "It is the colour of funeral mourning clothes." She lowers her arm, so her eyes are seen. "Black is the colour sprinkled with taint."
"And?" She questions as she moves to stand in front of Berthier.
Berthier lets out a chuckle and moves closer and places her finger on her lips. "It looks wonderful."
The second female is holding a mirror behind her head so she can see her yellow ribbon. "With this ribbon, I'll bewitch the men and make them wait on me."
Koan is sitting in front of her mirror, her head resting on her knee. "Gold is too glaring. And dear Calaveras onee-sama, your mascara is too think. I think you should reconsider your makeup a little."
Calaveras shakes in anger before calming down. "Koan, don't be so impertinent; you're the youngest." She looks up. "And what's with your outfit in this hot weather? Are you hiding your skin with your clothes because it's irritated?"
Koan stands up. "You're terrible! Calaveras onee-sama, you are so mean!"
"Stop this sibling's squabble." Rubeus scolds before coming through his mirror. "We have no time to waste on fashion talk. I come up with a good idea to lure the Rabbits out."
"What is it?" The four of them questions.
"If I remember correctly, the Rabbits absolutely hates thunder and loud sounds." Rubeus comments.
The third female, in green, smiles. "I understand. If there are thunder rumbling and lightning flashing, in their terror, they will release their energy."
"Exactly." Rubeus agrees.
"I have the perfect Droid among my minions." She nods her head and turn around and walks away. "Allow me, Petz, to take care of this." She goes into the mirror and disappears.
The sky is quick to darken as dark clouds appear and cover it. Petz appears in the cloud and holds up her hand and presses a finger to her black crescent moon. "Come forth, Droid Furaiki!" She closes her eyes and her black crescent moon glows green.
Lighting appears followed by a voice. "Furaiki!" A figure appears with a drum in front of her and sticks in her hands.
"Rumbling thunder and flashing lightning. Make the thunderbolts rain down on the Juban area!"
She bangs the sticks on the drum and light up with energy at the ends. "Boom!" She holds up the sticks. "Flash, flash!" Thunder appears in the sky followed by the loud sound that follows.
She takes out a hairdryer and holds it out in front of her. "Blow, wind, blow!" The wind increases making it hard for people to walk about.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
I change into a blue thick, jumper-like top that goes across my shoulder with white fluff balls down the arms, a silver skirt that reaches my thighs, brown boots that reaches my knees and a blue headband with a bow on the right.
Usagi is wearing a sleeveless turtleneck and her blue skirt.
I left Selene with Chibi-Usa as they have school and Teddy is with Mama. I follow Usagi out of the home as she wanted to get a magazine. As we are on the way back, it suddenly starts raining.
"Oh, why did it suddenly have to start raining?!" Usagi complains before there is thunder lighting up the sky causing Usagi to let out a shout and jumps in the air. She quickly dashes off without looking back.
I let out a soft chuckle before running after her as the pair of us dash all the way home. Usagi is the first to hurry into the house, both of us damp. Usagi takes off her shoes and shakes them as water drips out.
Usagi looks up and looks behind her. "Mama! Mama! Mama!"
Luna, Crescent and Yue come from the living room. "She's not here," Luna says.
"Why? Why?" Usagi questions.
"Don't you remember what she said during breakfast?" Luna queries causing Usagi to turn and look at her. "Your mama is out shopping with her friends. She said she might be late coming home this evening, remember?"
Usagi lets out a yell and she sits up and goes pale. "D'oh! Then, Luna, get me a towel! I'm drenched!" Usagi places her hands on her cheeks. "This is how a real drenching beauty looks! Get it?"
Luna sweatdrops. "Hey, hey, this isn't the time to crack stupid jokes. Grab your rain gear and go to the elementary school right away!"
"Huh? Why?" Usagi questions.
"Chibi-Usa-chan and Selene-chan still haven't come back from their swimming class." Crescent comments.
Thunder lights up the sky causing Usagi to jump and let out a yell as tears fill her eyes. "No way! I absolutely, totally hare thunder!"
Luna sweatdrops as Usagi kicks her legs about and waves her arms in the air. "I don't wanna go outside! Don't wanna! Don't wanna! Don't wanna!"
~~~3rd POV~~~
Selena and Chibi-Usa place their hands on the window and gaze outside as the rain gets harder and the wind gets faster and thunder and lightning appears in the sky.
"Mama is late." A girl says from behind them.
Thunder appears in the sky causing the four of them to crowd together and let out a scream of fright. The girl begins to cry loudly, and tears appear in the boy's eyes as he shakes.
Chibi-Usa removes her hand from her ears and opens her eyes. "Be strong, you two."
A woman walks through the gate and comes inside. The door opens causing the girl to stand up. "Kaoru-chan, I'm sorry I'm late." The woman says.
Tears fill the girl's eyes as she runs towards her. "Mama, Mama, Mama! You're late!" She wraps her arms around her waist and clings to her mama's coat.
Selene, Chibi-Usa and the boy head outside and wait. The boy sits on the steps with his knees drawn up to his chest and he is crying softly.
"You're a boy, aren't you? Don't cry." Chibi-Usa comments.
The boy looks up. "But…" He lowers his head and goes back to crying.
A car appears causing the three of them to look. The door of the car opens. "Hey, Yoshi, you'll be late for cram school!"
"Tou-chan!" The boy calls out as he runs towards the car. He gets in the car and waves to Selene and Chibi-Usa as the car drives off.
"Mama's late." Selene pouts as she doesn't see Selena appear.
Chibi-Usa crouches down and clings to Luna-P as her eyes begin to watch. Thunder appears in the sky causing the girls to jump in surprise before clinging to each other.
"Mama, since it's raining, buy me a tadpole." A boy says causing them to look up.
"A tadpole?" The mama questions.
"Yes." The boy agrees happily.
"Why don't we ask your Papa and see?" His mama offers.
Tears fill Chibi-Usa's eyes. "Mama…Papa…" She closes her eyes before getting up and runs away from the school crying.
"Wait, Chibi-Usa," Selene calls out before picking up her bag and running after her. Mama, hurry up and find us.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
We get on our raincoat, which looks the same but Usagi's is lime green while mine is emerald green and wellies, Usagi's are pink and mine are blue. Under Usagi's arms in a raincoat for Chibi-Usa and I have one for Selene held underneath mine.
"Mr Lightning, please don't flash. Mr Thunder, please don't rumble." Usagi mutters.
It does, causing Usagi to jump and let out a shout.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Chibi-Usa and Selene run underneath where the pair of them are and head in the direction back home. Chibi-Usa is crying softly as she clings onto Luna-P with one hand and Selene's hand with her other.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Usagi and I make it to their school to see no one waiting outside so we head inside.
"Chibi-Usa!/ Selene!" Usagi and I call out at the same time.
There is no answer and we can't see them inside.
"Chibi-Usa!/ Selene!" We call out at the same time again.
We head back outside. "That's strange. I wonder if she went home?" Usagi heads over to a phone and rings home. "What? They're not back yet? We've already looked for them for over twenty minutes. But they weren't anywhere in the school. I figured they'd gotten home long ago."
"If they haven't come back, then they haven't come back!" Shingo says through the phone. "Poor little Chibi-Usa-chan and Selene-chan are out there. Make sure you find them."
Usagi lets out a soft gasp and looks down at the phone. "I can't believe you, Shingo! Chibi-Usa…" Usagi looks up. "Where…Where have you gone?"
We leave the phone box and continue running looking around for the pair of them. I wasn't looking where I was going, and I bump into somebody. "Oh…I'm sorry…" I look up. "Mamo-chan."
"Is something the matter, Tia?" Mamo-chan questions.
"Selene and Chibi-Usa have gone missing!" I say urgently.
"What? Selene and Chibi-Usa have?!" Mamo exclaims worriedly.
Thunder appears in the sky causing Usagi to jump and cling to my arm. Usagi calms down and let's go.
"Let go!" I say softly causing Mamo-chan and Usagi to nod their heads and we run across the road.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Ami and Makoto look out of the window from the café that they are at. "Oh, it's Usagi-chan, Selene-chan and Mamoru-san."
"You're right, but why are they running about in the rain, they could be studying," Ami comments as she looks down at her textbook.
Ami is wearing her blue dress that goes around her neck and Makoto is wearing an orange sleeveless top and light-yellow trousers.
Makoto sweatdrops as Minako and Rei enter. "Oh, Ami-chan and Mako-chan." Rei states.
Rei is wearing a short-sleeved red top and blue shorts and Minako is wearing a thick strapped dress.
"Hey, what's up?" Makoto questions. "Coming together here like this…"
Rei places a hand on her hip as they stop in front of them. "I was trying to take shelter from the rain when I just happened to bump into Minako-chan."
Ami looks up with a smile. "Same with us. I was thinking about reviewing English, math, Japanese, social science and science until the rain stopped, then…"
Makoto sweatdrops along with Rei and Minako. "We just ran into each other," Makoto adds.
Minako sits down next to Makoto with a smile. "Aren't coincidences strange?"
Rei sits down next to Ami and looks at her with a smile. "I guess in the end, we all think alike."
"Even though two someones is missing." Minako points out.
Chibi-Usa and Selene crouch down in an alleyway underneath where the girls are. "Mama, I'm hungry." A child says causing the pair to look.
"Do you want me to make you some pancakes, then?" She asks.
"How about pudding?" The child asks for instead.
"Okay, sure." She agrees.
Chibi-Usa looks away and looks down at Luna-P which is in her lap. She presses the nose and the left eyes light up blue and flicker before a figure appears inside it. "Puu, I want to go back to where Mama is."
"You must not be so weak." The female voice scolds softly.
Chibi-Usa reaches underneath her top and pulls out a key in a gold chain. "Puu, I want to use this key and go back to where Mama, Oba and everybody else is."
"It is true that the key will allow you to travel through time, but it is dangerous to use it thoughtlessly." The voice admits.
"Dangerous?" Chibi-Usa questions as she lowers the key. "But I want to go back!"
"I know it must be tough for the three of you, but we need the Silver Crystal's in order to save your Mama's. hang in there a little longer in this world. One day, the bad guys will be destroyed, and a time of happiness will come. Until then, you three must bear it. Do you understand?" The voice states before disappearing from Luna-P's eye.
"Puu!" Chibi-Usa stands up. "Puu! Puu!"
Lightning and thunder flash and rumbles causing the four girls in the café to jump and cause Usagi and Selene to look behind them.
Chibi-Usa runs off crying with Selene running after her. "Chibi-Usa wait!" Selene calls out.
Chibi-Usa clenches her hand around the key hanging around her neck. "I still want to go home anyway!" Tears roll down her cheeks as she holds up the key which glows and releases energy.
Chibi-Usa opens her eyes and lets out a yell as more energy is released from the key.
The energy appears in the café. Rei stands up and looks around. "What is this?!"
"A lightning strike?" Makoto questions as Ami sweatdrops and quickly picks up her textbooks. "Oh, no, my textbooks!"
More energy appears and surrounds their table causing them to let out a surprised shout. The energy disappears from view and Makoto is the first to open her eyes. "What the?"
They are floating in the air along with everything else that isn't stuck to the ground.
"What is this?!" Rei asks as she floats up and her face goes under Minako's dress.
Minako blushes and glares at her. "Oh, you pervert!"
"It's a strange physical phenomenon. The only thing I can think of is that we've lost the Earth's gravity, but it's normal outside." Ami comments thoughtfully. Ami lets out a laugh. "This is getting more and more mysterious."
"Ami-chan, this isn't the time for such complicated topics." Minako points out.
"Oh, no! I'm so embarrassed to be in this shape!" Rei says embarrassed.
Makoto swims in the air. "I'm getting down! I will get down to the ground!"
Chibi-Usa floats into the air and tears appear in her eyes. "No! What is this?!"
Selene also floats next to her. "The key did this." She says softly as she looks around.
"I can't get back to where Mama and Papa are!" Tears fill her eyes again before she lets out a wail and her gold crescent moon appears on her forehead. In response, Selene's crescent moon with beads on either side also appears on her forehead and they both release energy.
A beam of gold and silver energy is shown in the air causing Petz to hover in the air and look in that direction. "I've found you, Rabbits."
A speck of light heads towards then and it is Furaiki. She bangs her sticks against her drum. "Boom, boom, boom! Boom, boom, boom, boom!"
~~~Selena's POV~~~
I look behind me when I sense lunar energy. Usagi follows my gaze to see gold and silver energy in the air.
Usagi lets out a gasp. "It's Chibi-Usa's energy!"
"It is Selene too! We need to hurry!" I say urgently.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Mamoru looks behind him with a gasp as he senses the energy which is quick to disappear.
Chibi-Usa's and Selene's crescent moon stop glowing and Chibi-Usa stops wailing. "What's going on?"
Furaiki comes through the doors of the building and heads towards the pair of them. The pair of them blink in surprise.
"Boom, boom, boom! Flash!" Lightning leaves the drum and heads towards them. They both let out a scream as they move out of the way. Chibi-Usa cries once more as they try to float up the stairs.
Usagi and Selena run down the path just as Furaiki holds her sticks together and lightning is released lighting up the room causing Usagi to let out a sound of surprise. Furaiki places the stick together and more lightning is released and sent towards the girls causing them to let out another cry as they move out of the way.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
"Chibi-Usa!/ Selene!" Usagi and I call out at the same time as we run into the building through the shattered doors. Usagi lets out a sound of panic as we float in the air.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Chibi-Usa and Selene make it up the stairs and Rei and the others see them. "Chibi—Usa-chan?! Selene-chan?!" Rei exclaims.
Chibi-Usa and Selene continue trying to float away and Furaiki floats through the door after them. "A Droid!" The four of them exclaims with wide eyes.
Furaiki holds out a hairdryer. "Blow, wind, blow!" Wind is released sending the four girls flying in the other direction. They bang into the wall and their eyes turn into swirls. Chibi-Usa and Selene and sent flying in the same direction and land on Ami and Rei.
Usagi slowly turns around and brings out her brooch.
"Moon Crystal Power Makeup!" Usagi and Selena call out at the same time.
The girl's upstairs are all unconscious and are still floating in the air. Furaiki bangs her drum. "Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!" Energy appears from her drum and the end of her sticks.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
"Stop right there!" Usagi calls out.
Chibi-Usa opens her eyes. "Who are you?"
"For Love and Justice, the pretty sailor suited senshi…Sailor Moon!" Usagi calls out.
"Likewise, Sailor Celestia!" I call out softly.
"So, you're the one responsible for the sudden rain and thunder! The scariest things are earthquakes, thunder, fires and Droids. How dare you disturb a peaceful town and terrorize small children?! It's unforgivable!"
"In the name of the moon, we'll punish you!" We say at the same time.
The Droid takes out a hairdryer and holds it out in front of her. "Blow, wind, blow!" The wind is sent towards us. Usagi bangs into the wall face first while I land on the wall via my feet.
"Sailor Moon! Sailor Celestia!" Rei calls out.
"Hang in there, Sailor Moon!/ Sailor Celestia!" Chibi-Usa and Selene cheer at the same time.
Usagi struggles to lift her head. "Why, you!"
The Droid bangs her stick on her drum and both light up with energy. "Boom! Flash!"
Lightning is sent towards us. I push Usagi behind me and stand in front of her. Usagi clings onto the back of my kimono and lets out a hiss of pain but she doesn't feel it much as I am in front of her.
The Droid bang one of her sticks on her drum before hitting the other side with her other stick. Usagi, who is still behind my back, and I look in front of us when she appears there. She places her two sticks together and lightning crackles around her.
"Oh, no. They're gonna get killed!" Minako exclaims.
Usagi pales and her grips tighten on my clothes as more lightning crackles around the Droid. The Droid bangs her drum when suddenly a hole appears in her drum and lightning leaves it and it hits her instead. "Bibibibibibibi! Furaiki!"
I look behind me to see Mamo-chan standing in front of the window. "Celestia. Sailor Moon."
"Tuxedo Mask/ Tuxedo Mask-sama!" The pair of us exclaims at the same time.
"Tuxedo Mask?" I hear Chibi-Usa and Selene questions.
"The drum is a percussion instrument. If used correctly, it can touch people's hearts. But you have used it as a weapon. You are a disgrace as a musician!" Mamo-chan lifts his hand and he has four roses between his fingers. "If you are going to play the drum, anyway, play the cheerful tune of traditional Japanese dance or something!"
He throws the roses towards her and embeds them in the ground one by one causing her to take steps backwards. "Furai, furai, furaiki!"
"Now, Celestia! Sailor Moon!" Mamo-chan orders.
"Thank you, Tuxedo Mask!" I say softly.
"Moon Princess Halation!" We both call out at the same time.
~~~3rd POV~~~
The Droid lets a scream and bursts out the window glowing before she turns to dust and her gem goes black.
Petz holds out her hand and she captures the gem. "Rabbits…"
Berthier appears next to her. "Onee-sama, it looks like you've failed."
Petz turns to glare at her. "Shut up!"
"So, what are you going to do now?" Berthier questions.
Petz looks back at the store. "I didn't want to fight in a strange area like that. I will withdraw for today. " She disappears.
"Oh, wait for me, Onee-sama!" Berthier calls out before disappearing after her.
Mamo-chan jumps from the window and floats in the air. "Excellent work as always, Celestia, Sailor Moon." He praises. He lands on a can and slips.
"Oh, Tuxedo Mask!" I call out softly before floating over to him.
Usagi follows after me looking around. "Just what is going on here?"
Chibi-Usa and Selene float closer. "I'm sorry; it's my fault."
"What? Chibi-Usa, you caused this?" Ami-chan questions surprised.
Chibi-Usa nods her head. "Yeah, I'm sorry." She reaches her hand under her top and slowly floats to the ground.
Selene floats over and jumps into my chest causing me to wrap my arms around her with a soft chuckle.
The girls let out surprised sounds before they fall straight to the ground. Rei lands on her face, Ami-chan on her bottom, Minako-chan on her stomach and Mako-chan lands on Minako-chan.
"Mako-chan, you're heavy," Minako-chan says.
I land on my feet along with Usagi and Mamo-chan lands on his knees. The girls stand up and stand behind Chibi-Usa. Mako-chan moves towards Chibi-Usa. "Hey, what the heck is this?" She holds the key.
Chibi-Usa moves back. "Let go! I just wanted to go back home!"
Rei curls her fingers around her chin. "Go back? Home? Where is that?"
Chibi-Usa to look at her. "The place where my mama, oba and everybody else is!"
"Where are you mama, oba and everybody else?" Ami-chan asks softly.
Chibi-Usa lowers her head and doesn't answer. Mako-chan looks down at her. "Where did you come from?"
Chibi-Usa begins to struggle to try and getaway. "No! Let me go!"
"If you tell me honestly, we'll help you." Usagi offers softly causing Chibi-Usa to turn and look at her. "Come on, please tell us."
~~~3rd POV~~~
Chibi-Usa focuses her gaze on Sailor Moon and Sailor Celestia. The voice of Puu enters her head. "We need the Silver Crystal's in order to save your mama's. Hang in there a little longer in this world."
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Minako-chan reaches down and places her hand on Chibi-Usa's shoulder. "Chibi-Usa-chan, come on, please talk to us. We'll protect you and…"
A soft smile appears on my face. "That's enough," I say softly getting their attention. "She isn't ready to talk about it just yet. We'll have to be patient until she is."
Chibi-Usa pulls her hand out of Mako-chan and runs towards me. "Sailor Celestia-sama!"
I kneel and pick her up and rest her against my other hip.
"Honestly!" Usagi says as she places her hands on her hip and a pout appears on her face.
"Sailor Celestia-sama…" Chibi-Usa mutters.
We leave the store. Mamo-chan walks on my other side while I keep Selene in my arms, but I hold Chibi-Usa's hand after placing on their coats. "Rain, rain, fall, fall, rain even more. It's so nice to be with Sailor Celestia-sama and Tuxedo Mask-sama!"
~~~3rd POV~~~
Usagi pouts and places her finger together. "She's monopolizing my Nee-chan!"
They walk on the bridge with Chibi-Usa still signing. "Spatter, splash, spatter, splash, la, la, la!"
A smile appears on Usagi face as they look up at them on the bridge. "But I guess it's all right."
Chibi-Usa gazes up at Sailor Celestia and Tuxedo Mask with a smile on her face as they look back. Chibi-Usa lets out a gasp as she looks in front of her. "Oh, look, look, Sailor Celestia-sama! Tuxedo Mask-sama! There's a big rainbow!"
She runs over to the fence. Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Celestia share a smile before turning to gaze up at the same rainbow along with Selene, who is still in her arms.
Usagi and the others also turn to gaze at the same rainbow. "Wow! It's beautiful!" Usagi praises.
