Usagi makes a face before some of the juice comes out of her mouth and is squirted onto Rei's face. All of us, including Usagi sweatdrop and fall into silence.
"Usagi!" Rei yells.
"I'm sorry!" Usagi says panicking.
"All right, then put your face right there so I can pay you back!" Rei states.
"That's why I'm apologizing!" Usagi points out with a pout.
An employee walks over. "Excuse me, you are not allowed to bring in your own drink."
"Nyah, Nyah, Nyah, Nyah!" Usagi and Rei comment as they stick their tongue out towards each other.
Still acting like a pair of bickering sisters I think fondly with a soft chuckle.
~~~Present~~~
~~~3rd POV~~~
"What?! Why?! You promised!" Chibi-Usa exclaims upset.
"I'm really sorry," Mama says softly.
"But, we have no choice," Papa adds.
Shingo opens one of his eyes and places his arms behind his head. "You know, kids get hurt when adults break promises."
Chibi-Usa nods her head in agreement. "Yup, yup!"
Mama and Papa share a look.
Usagi pokes her head around the curtain. "Mama, is dinner ready yet?"
~~~Selena's POV~~~
I follow after Usagi (wearing her usual white top and blue dress) with Selene (purple kitten outfit) and Teddy (blue shirt, black trousers and shoes) once again in my arms. I am wearing my emerald green silk dress that I wore when we went to the Charm House.
Usagi walks into the living room. "Huh? What's going on? You all look so serious."
Mama and Papa look at the pair of us. "That's right; we've got Usagi and Selena!" Papa exclaims.
"We should ask Usagi and Selena to go!" Mama adds happily.
"Huh?" Usagi questions.
"The thing is, next Sunday, the kids in Chibi-Usa-chan's class and their parents will be making curry together," Mama says.
"But some urgent business came up that we have to go to…" Papa starts.
Usagi cuts him off and places her hand on her chest. "So, you want dependable Usagi onee-sama and nee-chan to go in your place, right?"
"No!" Chibi-Usa denies. Usagi turns to glare at her. "If Usagi's going, I'd rather no one goes!"
Usagi lets out a scoff. "Same here! I'm never interested in babysitting someone like you!" Usagi walks off and with a chuckle, I follow after her.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Mama stands up. "Usagi!"
Chibi-Usa lets out a scoff and turns her head to the side.
That night, Chibi-Usa heads outside and looks up from the balcony. "That's okay. I don't care if no one goes. I'll be fine, even if I'm on my own."
Memories of having a meal with her parents fill her mind and tears appear in the corner of her eyes. Mama, Papa…
She clutches Luna-P to her chest and crouches down and cries softly. "I want to have dinner with my mama and papa like everyone else!"
~~~Selena's POV~~~
We head back up into Usagi's room where Luna scolds her. "You're definitely wrong!"
"Why? Chibi-Usa started the fight!" Usagi says with a pout.
"You really don't get it, do you?" Luna says slyly.
Usagi sits up. "What?"
"Chibi-Usa-chan is still in grade school, while you're in junior high. She's away from her mama and papa, while you're always with your parents. I can keep going." Luna states.
"No, that's enough! Oh, I know!" Usagi says as she stands up.
"What is it?" Luna questions.
Usagi walks towards her bedroom door. "I'm gonna get some rick crackers."
Luna sweatdrops while I chuckle softly. I look down to see Selene and Teddy asleep, so I gently place them on Usagi's bed for now and follow Usagi downstairs. I get into the kitchen to see Usagi peeking around into it. I follow her gaze to see Chibi-Usa in front of the sink with the water running.
"I don't care if no one goes! I'm not like stupid Usagi! I'm independent!" She tips the pot. "Oh, I spilled some rice!" She picks the rice up and stares down at it in her hands. "Why can't I do it right, no matter how many times I try? I don't believe this!"
Usagi sneaks into the kitchen with a grin on her face which is removed when we hear Chibi-Usa crying softly. "I can't do this! I can't! Papa! Mama!"
Usagi closes her eyes before walking over to her. "Chibi-Usa, what are you doing all by yourself?"
Chibi-Usa looks away but I see a blush on her face. "Stupid Usagi, can't you see what I'm doing? I'm practicing making curry and rice."
"Hey, why don't we ask nee-chan to come tomorrow?" Usagi suggests as I stay hidden around the corner.
"What?" Chibi-Usa questions as she turns to look at Usagi.
Usagi holds up a finger. "We'll ask her to come to the curry party with us. All three of us. Then, it'll be okay, right?"
"But I wonder if she'll come. She looks after Selene-chan and Teddy." Chibi-Usa points out.
"I'm sure nee-chan can leave them with Mamoru-san for the day," Usagi says happily.
~~~Next Day~~~
We (myself, Usagi, Selene, Teddy and Chibi-Usa) head over to Mama-chan's place.
I ring the doorbell and he opens the door. "Tia!" He exclaims surprised. "Is something the matter?"
"I have a small favour to ask Mamo-chan," I say softly as he invites us inside. I tell him about what is happening. "So, we'd like you to keep an eye on Selene-chan and Teddy tomorrow if that's alright."
"I have my job tomorrow but a day off won't hurt," Mamo-chan says softly.
Chibi-Usa looks up with a smile on her face. "Really?!" He nods his head, "Yay!" Chibi-Usa cheers.
Usagi suddenly perks up. "I'll make you some authentic curry and rice. Just leave it all to Chef Usagi!"
"Then, let go! To buy ingredients for curry and rice!" Chibi-Usa exclaims happily.
"Sure. We can all go together." I suggest softly causing Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy to let out a cheer.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Petz sits in front of her mirror eating a cake all to herself. "Calaveras, what are you doing?" She asks as she looks up.
Calaveras is in front of the mirror and is looking at it. Calaveras turns to look at her. "Petz onee-sama, they say the Earth people in this era take care of their skin like this. Why don't you try it, too? Your skin will be nice and smooth, and you'll be very popular with men."
Petz lets out a scoff and turns her head to the side. "Men who judge women only by their appearances are scumbags."
"But there's nothing wrong with being beautiful, Onee-sama. I know you were dumped but continuing to act so prickly won't make you attractive at all."
Petz stands up dropping her cake in the progress. "What did you say?!" She demands.
"Getting along is a beautiful thing." Rubeus states.
Calaveras and Petz snap out of their arguing and turn to look at him. "Oh, Rubeus-sama."
He turns to look at them. "Another Crystal Point has been found."
"Where is it?" Petz questions.
Energy appears in the centre of the floor before the map appears. The map turns to the side and an image of the Juban Supermarket appears.
"This is the place," Rubeus says.
"I see," Calaveras says thoughtfully.
"Rubeus-sama, let me handle this!" Petz offers.
Calaveras lets out a gasp and looks towards her as Petz disappears in the mirror. "Oh, getting a head start is not fair!" She runs after her and jumps through the mirror.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Ami-chan, Rei, Mako-chan and Minako-chan come over when Usagi gets in contact with them and tell them what we are up to. Ami-chan is wearing a yellow sleeveless turtleneck and green skirt, Rei is wearing a white t-shirt and orange shorts, Mako-chan is wearing a green shirt and yellow skirt and Minako-chan is wearing a crème dress.
Ami-chan gets out a book and reads from it. "To make curry powder, you mix thirty to forty different spices. Add powdered nutmeg, cumin, cloves, gingers, cinnamon and…"
Usagi appears behind her with her face pale and sweatdropping. "Oh, Ami-chan, you can stop lecturing now."
Rei holds out a box. "Here, Usagi, I recommend the 'Here! Curry!'"
They all sweatdrop while I let out a soft chuckle. "Hey, now…" Usagi trails off.
"Usagi-chan, why don't we start?" Mako-chan offers. "First, peel the carrots, onions and potatoes. Then chop them into small pieces."
"Wow!" Usagi praises as she and Minako-chan watch Mako-chan.
"I want to do it! Let me try!" Minako-chan says happily. Mako-chan lets her but Minako-chan is cutting at an angle not straight down.
"You're going to cut yourself if you do it like that," Mako-chan warns.
"She just might be worse than me." Usagi points out.
"It's okay as long as you're having fun," Minako-chan says before letting out a gasp. Usagi and Mako-chan move back in surprise as Minako-chan brings up her hand and tears fill her eyes. "I cut my finger!"
Usagi lets out a yell. "Oh! Her finger is on the cutting board!"
Minako-chan lets out a panicked yell. "Call an ambulance! An ambulance!"
"Minako-chan, stay calm!" Usagi says.
"What's wrong?" Rei and Ami-chan ask as they come into the kitchen.
Usagi turns to look at them. "Ami-chan, an ambulance! Ambulance!"
Mako-chan looks at the chopping board. "We have to put it back together!" Mako-chan blinks. "Oh, this is just the end of a carrot. Are you bleeding?"
Minako-chan looks down at her finer. "Yes, just a little."
Usagi, Ami-chan and Rei let out a sigh. "That's all?!"
Minako-chan lowers her head with a slight blush on her face. "Sorry…"
Usagi lifts her head with a smile on her face. "Really, you overreacted so much."
Luna sweatdrops. "You were also making a big deal out of it."
Usagi sweatdrops and laughs awkwardly along with Ami-chan and Mako-chan. Usagi is the first to snap out of it and stands in front of the chopping board. "Then…" She begins chopping.
"Wow, you're so fast!" Luna praises.
Usagi lets out a laugh. "It's what you call talent!"
"Usagi-chan, are you serious about this?" Mako-chan questions as Usagi wasn't chopping anything.
Usagi puts down the knife, places an arm behind her head and lets out a laugh causing Luna to let out a sigh.
It isn't long before we have to head to the supermarket. Mamo-chan is holding Teddy in one arm with his other arm around my waist. I am holding Selene in one arm and holding Chibi-Usa's hand with my other.
Usagi is listing off the things we need to buy. "Let's see, I need to buy carrots, potatoes, onions and what else?"
"What about meat?" Chibi-Usa questions.
Usagi nods her head. "Oh, that's right!" She places her arm behind her head and laughs with a small blush on her face causing the rest of us to sweatdrop. Usagi stops laughing and lets out a gasp. "Wow! What a beautiful sunset!"
"Let's go," I say softly as we begin walking again.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Chibi-Usa's eyes widen as memories fill her mind. Of when she was holding her oba and mama's hands with her oji and papa's arms around their wife's waists.
A smile appears on her face and she reaches up and holds Usagi's hand. Usagi looks down surprised before a smile appears on her face. No matter what she says, Chibi-Usa is still a kid. Huh? What is this feeling? I feel so comfortable when I'm like this, but I feel like someone should be by myself like Mamoru-san is with nee-chan.
Luna watches them further down the path. "Hey, it's a pretty nice scene."
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Chibi-Usa snaps out of her thought and removes her hand from Usagi's. "Hey, Usagi, don't hold my hand so familiarly!"
Usagi places her hands on her hips. "What are you talking about?! You're the one who grabbed my hand first!"
"Liar, liar!" Chibi-Usa denies.
"Chibi-Usa, you're the liar, liar, liar!" Usagi says back annoyed.
I let out of soft chuckle as they continue to argue and call each other a liar. "Come on, let's get going. We have things to buy." I point out softly as they stop arguing.
~~~3rd POV~~~
"How about some rare, delicious Dark Fruits?" A woman calls out.
"You there, might you be feeling anxious about your life?" Petz questions. "For an unhappy person like you, black is perfect!" She holds out a purple and black fruit. "Let's have some Dark Fruits, and we can both be unhappy." She sweatdrops as the customers stare at her.
"Mama!" A child point at Petz.
"Don't look at her." The mama says before she moves her child away.
The rest of the customers also move away and go elsewhere in the store.
Petz clenches her fist around the fruit, squashing it in her hand. "You fools!"
"Onee-sama, you're not cut out to be a salesperson." Calaveras comments. "This is how you do it." She holds up her arm with a smile on her face. "Hi! Everyone in the Juban Supermarket! Today, let us introduce you to our mystery fruit!"
Customers gather around as Calaveras holds up the fruit. "The colour is black, but it's absolutely delicious! Black is this year's trendy colour. Today, we're offering this fruit at half-price!"
"Here, please give it a try." The woman in front of the booth offers.
"You're good." Petz praises. "I guess that's how you manipulate the men, too."
"Oh, that's where you're wrong." Calaveras denies. "All men like to worship a pretty woman like me."
Petz's eyebrows twitch. "You're going to get hurt one of these days."
"Here, please try one." The woman offers, as the customers take a piece of the fruit from the plates.
They take a bite and praises the taste before dark energy goes into them causing them to drop the fruit to the floor which also releases dark energy before disappearing leaving behind the sticks.
Petz smirks. "How does the Dark Power fruit taste?"
A smirk also appears on Calaveras's face. "Once we contaminate this store with Dark Power, the Crystal Point will be ruined."
The woman, Droid, jumps on the booth. "Now, if you've tasted the fruit, please start touching all the other merchandise. Smart consumers never buy anything by just looking at it."
The customers move about slowly, like zombies and head to different parts of the supermarket. Whatever they touch is contaminated with dark power and goes off.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
"This is the supermarket that I recommend. Great selection, cheap and fresh! The Juban Supermarket!" Usagi says happily as we stand outside. The doors were automatically opened.
"Luna, please wait here." Luna lets out a meow. Usagi points at a piece of paper on the door. "Here, look. Pets are not allowed. But I'll get you something good!"
Luna lets out a meow and we head inside. We head to the meat section to see the meat looks and smells weird.
"Nee-sama, something smell weird." Chibi-Usa comments.
Mamo-chan smells the air. "You're right."
I look down at the meat. "Mamo-chan, look at the meat," I say softly.
He follows my gaze and his eyes widen. "What?! This meat is spoiled!"
"What? No way!" Usagi exclaims surprised. "It can't be, but it's true! How can this be?! Juban Supermarket's selling point is its freshness."
"Anyway, we can't buy ingredients for Chibi-Usa's curry and rice here." Mamo-chan points out.
"That's right!" Chibi-Usa agrees before pulling me away causing Mamo-chan to follow.
"Oh, wait!" I hear Usagi call out from behind us.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Luna sneaks in and jumps near Usagi. "Usagi-chan!"
"Luna!" Usagi exclaims surprised.
"Something's wrong with this store." Luna points out.
"What?" Usagi questions.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
We leave the supermarket and head to a beef store.
"There are all kinds of meats. I don't know which one to get." Chibi-Usa admits.
"I know…" Mamo-chan agrees,
"Excuse me." A voice calls out from behind us.
We look to see Rei. "Rei-chan!"
Rei looks at us. "Oh, Selena, Selene-chan, Teddy, Chibi-Usa-chan and Mamoru-san. I thought you guys were with Usagi."
Chibi-Usa turns her head to the side. "I don't care about her anymore."
Rei places a hand on her hip. "Don't you think that's a bit much? She might not seem like it, but Usagi has her own way of…"
Chibi-Usa cuts her off. "Oh, I know! Rei-chan, can you make curry and rice?"
"Oh, thank you for asking me! I can whip together all kinds of curry, from Indian style and Sri Lankan style to hometown restaurant style."
Chibi-Usa places her hands together. "Wow! Sounds like an instant curry TV commercial! Would you please come to my school tomorrow?"
"Huh?" Rei questions.
"Her class is having a curry party," Mamo-chan says.
"What?!" Rei exclaims. "I don't think that's a good idea. Please ask Usagi to go."
"Why? Are you busy?" Chibi-Usa asks sadly.
"Well, it's not that, but…" Rei trails off.
~~~3rd POV~~~
"Luna, what do you mean by weird?" Usagi questions.
Luna jumps onto the shelf. "Here, watch very carefully." Luna touches a pot with her paw, and it turns brown before turning into dust.
Usagi backs away and hits the shelves behind her. "I can't believe this!" She looks on the shelves behind her to see everything do the same. "No way! What is this?!" They look around to see that it is the same as the other shelves. "It's awful! I can't make curry and rice like this!"
Luna sweatdrops. "This isn't the time to be saying that!"
"Oh, I found it!" Usagi exclaims. She holds up an unharmed carrot. "At least, I've secured one carrot!"
~~~Selena's POV~~~
We sit on a bench with Rei sitting on the other side of Chibi-Usa.
~~~Chibi-Usa's POV~~~
It's weird. When I was with Usagi a little while ago, I felt something nice and warm inside.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Chibi-Usa looks up at Rei. "Excuse me…"
Rei looks down at her. "Huh?"
"I think I'll go get Usagi after all," Chibi-Usa admits.
A smile appears on Rei's face. "That's just what I was about to say, too. Let's go!" Rei stands up.
"Okay." Chibi-Usa agrees as the rest of us stand up as well.
We head back to the supermarket when I sense a lot of dark energy. I look at Rei to see her narrow her eyes and nod her head. She reaches out and grabs Chibi-Usa's hand. "No, you shouldn't go! I fell something evil! Wait right here!"
I place Selene on the ground and run after Rei.
~~~3rd POV~~~
"It's almost time to finish up." Petz comments.
"Avogadora, contaminate this place completely." Calaveras orders.
"Yes, my lady!" She agrees. "Kiwi, papaya, mango!" Her clothes rip off her body as she turns into her true form. "Avogadora!" She is wearing a leaf-style skirt and a bra.
She releases dark energy which causes all the customers under their control to fall unconscious. The same energy heads towards Usagi. "Usagi-chan, watch out!" Luna warns.
Usagi moves out of the way, the carrot falling out of her hand. She lands on the floor and watches as the energy turns the carrot into the same mess as the other food.
"Usagi-chan, transform now!" Luna orders.
"Okay! Moon Crystal Power Makeup!" Usagi calls out.
Luna lunges at the Droid who lifts her hand and hits Luna. Luna lets out a yowl but lands on her paws behind the Droid.
The Droid takes out a banana. "Bana knife!" The banana glows and turns into a knife.
Luna sweatdrops and lets out a growl.
The Droid lifts her knife into the air. "Bana knife!"
"Stop right there!" Usagi calls out.
"Avo, avo?" The Droid questions as she stops and looks towards Usagi.
Usagi is standing on top of the shelves. "A supermarket is the people's fountain of health! The fresh vegetables of the open country and the melt-in-your-mouth-good thinly sliced meat are mad! For Love and Justice, the pretty sailor suited senshi, Sailor Moon! in the name of the moon, I will punish you!"
"Sailor Mars is here, too!" Rei calls out and she stands in a cart that heads towards them. She jumps out of the cart and it continues heading towards the Droid. "In the name of Mars, I will chastise you!"
~~~Selena's POV~~~
"Likewise, Sailor Celestia!" I call out softly as I appear next to Usagi.
The Droid throws fruit in front of her and it goes through the cart and causing a mini-explosion. Usagi lets out a sound of surprise as we join Rei on the ground.
"Now, Avogadora!" Calaveras orders.
"Cut them in one fell swoop!" Petz adds.
Avogadora spins around. "Avogadora!" Fruit flies out from her skirt causing more mini-explosions. We dodge out of the way, though Usagi and Rei and struggle to keep doing so as more fruit is sent towards us.
"What is this?" Rei questions as the pair of them fall to the ground.
"Now, kill them!" Petz orders.
"Avogadora!" Calaveras calls out.
Avogadora takes off one of her earrings. "Peeled lichee bomb!" She throws it towards us.
As it got closer, a red rose flies past and embeds itself in the floor, the earrings split into half lands next to it. I use my magic and call the red rose to me and place it in my pocket space.
"Avo?" Avogadora questions as we all look up at the windows.
Mamo-chan is standing there with his cane out. "A supermarket is the people's fountain of health! The fresh vegetables of the open country and the melt-in-your-mouth-good thinly sliced meat are mad! Are you ready?"
He disappears from the window and lunges towards Avogadora. His cane clashes with her sword before he jumps back.
"Avo, avo!" The Droid calls out before she lunges towards him and their weapons continue to clash.
Petz and Calaveras move and Rei points at them. "That won't be necessary. I will be your opponent! Burning Mandala!"
Petz holds up her arm and energy surround them stopping Rei attack. "My Burning Mandala is…" Rei trails off surprised.
"It's our turn now!" Calaveras states.
"Hold it! You should let your onee-sama handle the good parts." Petz comments.
"You don't even act like an onee-sama most of the time." Calaveras points out.
"What did you say?! You're just my imotou!" Petz demands.
Calaveras lets out a scoff. "Old maid!"
Mako-chan appears to the right of them. "Enough of your sibling squabbles."
Ami-chan appears behind them and Minako-chan appears to the left of them.
The pair of them stop arguing. "Shoot…"
"Just who are you, people?" Mako-chan questions.
"We will find out who you are today, no matter what!" Ami-chan comments.
"We won't let you get away!" Minako-chan adds.
Mamo-chan is still clashing with Avogadora until he throws his cane at her causing her to cover her face with her hands. "Now, Celestia, Sailor Moon!" Mamo-chan orders.
"Yes!" We both agree.
"Moon Princess Halation!" We both call out at the same time.
It hits Avogadora straight on. "Avo!" She turns to dust and her gem turns black.
"Be thankful that we are retreating this time." Petz states.
"You'll pay extra for this!" Calaveras adds before the pair of them disappear. The merchandise goes back to normal and the unconscious customers slowly wake up.
We can get the items that we need and Usagi and I head back to our house with Chibi-Usa, Selene, Teddy and Mamo-chan. Usagi is in the kitchen chopping the onion causing her to cry.
"There's no time to cry." Chibi-Usa points out.
"I'm not crying because I want to!" She lets out a yell and reaches down. "Don't worry; it's okay. I just dropped the pot."
She goes back to cooking and after making a mess in the kitchen, she is finished. "Finished!"
We look at the food sweatdropping causing Usagi to let out a laugh. "Come on, I know it looks bad, but I'm sure it tastes great." She takes a bite and we all turn to look at her. She swallows it and a smile appears on her face. "Delicious!"
We share a look before taking a bite out of our plates. "It's pretty good." Mamo-chan praises.
"It is." I agree softly.
Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy don't answer as they happily eat their food. Usagi holds up a peace sign. "All right! I guess I'll be fine tomorrow!"
"Usagi, you did pretty well." Chibi-Usa praises her as we all eat our food.
Usagi's mothering instinct is getting stronger towards Chibi-Usa. They haven't fully awoken get yet though, just a little longer before they do I ponder with a soft smile.
