~~~Chapter Twenty-Two~~~

~~~Previous~~~

Chibi-Usa follows our gazes to the right of the boat to see the pair of them. Chibi-Usa lifts her hand and waves with a smile on her face. "I'm glad!"

The pair of them turn to the right and swim off away from our boat. Chibi-Usa lowers her hand and places them on the boat. "I see. They're going."

"I think they're going to look for a quieter place to live." Ami-chan offers.

Rei places a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, you know it's for the best."

"Yeah." Chibi-Usa agrees sadly before tears fill her eyes. "Kirin-chan, don't ever be separated from your Mama."

Kirin-chan lets out a squeak causing the tears to leave Chibi-Usa's eyes. She waves at them with a smile back on her face. "Bye-bye, Kirin-chan! Rei-chan, I can eat fish now!"

"Oh? Really?" Rei questions.

"Yeah, Kirin-chan taught me," Chibi-Usa says happily.

"Well done, Chibi-Usa." I praise softly causing a large smile to appear on her face.

~~~Present~~~

~~~Selena's POV~~~

Usagi suddenly lets out a loud shout in the middle of the night. I look down to see Selene and Teddy still asleep. I carefully get out of bed and head into Usagi's room. I walk inside just in time to see Luna lift her head.

"What are you yelling about in the middle of the night?" Luna lowers her gaze to Usagi's bed. "What?"

There is a large wet puddle and Usagi stares at said puddle in disbelief.

Luna sweatdrops and turns her head to look at Usagi. "Usagi-chan…Don't tell me…you…You're in eighth grade already, right? You're in the eighth grade, and you still wet…wet…wet…wet…wet…wet…wet your bed?! Unbelievable! How embarrassing!"

Usagi snaps out of it when her cover moves about and a low groan. She reaches forward and pulls the cover away to show Chibi-Usa with a wet patch on her pyjama bottoms.

"Chibi-Usa!" Usagi yells.

~~~3rd POV~~~

Energy appears and the figure of Wiseman pops through the ground before his crystal ball floats in front of him. "I foresee…When the sun rises and dawn approaches, in the town called Juban, energy will appear in the sky near a pedestrian bridge."

"Near a pedestrian bridge in the Juban area? And the source of the energy…" Rubeus questions.

"None other than the Rabbits." Wiseman comments.

"Well, I will have the Four Ayakashi Sisters search the area immediately. By the way Wiseman, how are things over there? Has Crystal Tokyo fallen yet?" Rubeus queries. "Our clan should have most of Crystal Tokyo under control by now."

"A powerful energy is being fired from the Crystal Points in the surrounding area," Wiseman states.

"A powerful energy?" Rubeus questions. "Who are they?"

"The ones who fired the energy and denied our entry were four senshi from Crystal Tokyo." Wiseman offers.

"Even in this world, our plans have been compromised by these so-called sailor senshi. Perhaps they are related somehow to the four senshi in Crystal Tokyo." Rubeus points out.

"Find the Silver Crystals as soon as possible and shatter them." Wiseman orders before disappearing.

Rubeus lets out a scoff. "Four Ayakashi Sisters. I have orders for you. Show yourselves."

~~~Selena's POV~~~

Selene, Teddy and I get changed into the same clothes were wore when we went to the island and found the dinosaur. Usagi is wearing her pink short-sleeved top and blue shorts.

Selene and Teddy and hanging around with Chibi-Usa for a change while I stay with Usagi.

Usagi takes her mattress outside and hits it causing dust clouds to appear.

Shingo is sitting not far away and lets out a laugh. "Wetting your bed in eighth grade is definitely not cool, even for stupid Usagi."

Usagi stops and appears in front of Shingo. "I resent that! I did not wet my bed!"

"Then why was your bed wet, stupid Usagi?" Shingo queries.

"This is Chibi-Usa's…" Usagi starts but Shingo cuts her off. "Oh, please. You're going to blame it on a kid?"

"Why you!" Usagi says annoyed.

"Shingo, that's enough." I scold softly. "It was Chibi-Usa. I was there when Usagi woke up and Chibi-Usa's pyjamas were wet."

There is a door closed and the three of us look to see Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy leaving the house and heading towards the gates. "Chibi-Usa!" Usagi calls out.

Chibi-Usa stops and the pair of them stare at each other before Chibi-Usa turns away and runs off with Selene and Teddy following after her causing Usagi to sweatdrop. Usagi runs to the gate. "Hey! Don't run away! What's with her?"

Usagi and I sit near the gate and Luna, Crescent and Yue join us. "Chibi-Usa must be lonely." Crescent points out.

"Lonely?" Usagi questions.

"That's right. That's why she sneaked into your bed in the middle of the night." Luna comments. "And you had to be so harsh on her just because she wet your bed."

Usagi looks down at Luna with a dry look on her face. "Who was it that was being harsh on me yesterday?"

"Well, this and that are completely different." Luna denies. "Anyway, find Chibi-Usa-chan quickly and apologize!"

"What? But I promised to go shopping with Rei-chan and everyone else today." Usagi comments.

Luna sweatdrops. "This is no time to be saying that!" Luna scolds. "If we leave her alone, who knows when she'll release her energy again!"

"Okay, I got it." Usagi agrees.

"Then, let's split up and go look for her. Usagi-chan and Selena-chan, you go the other way, okay?" Luna orders before Luna, Crescent and Yue wander off in the other direction.

Usagi watches before letting out a sigh. Luna suddenly appears in front of her. "Why are you just sitting there?!" Luna yells.

Usagi jumps in surprise. "Oh! Oh…Oh…Oh!"

~~~3rd POV~~~

Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy sit down on the steps on a pedestrian bridge. Chibi-Usa has her head lowered clutches Luna-P to her chest. "So what? I'm still a kid. Of course, I'll wet my bed once in a while."

Her eyes lower as the memory of her Mama finding her bed wet appears in her mind. Of how she wasn't told off but comforted instead.

"Mama, Papa…I want to go home." Chibi-Usa mutters before taking out her key. Tears fill her eyes and her Mama's image appears causing her to let out a gasp and drop Luna-P. "I still…" She holds up the key in the air. "I still want to go home!"

Pink energy is released from the key. The energy appears into a ball and floats up into the air and pink clouds appear. Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy begin to hover in the air when the energy quickly disappears causing them to fall to the ground.

"What?" Chibi-Usa sits up. "Why? Why didn't it work? I want to go back to Mama." She begins wailing and her Crescent Moon appears causing once again Selene's to appear in response making columns of gold and silver energy surround them.

She slowly stops crying and the energy disappears.

"Well, well…" A female voice says causing the three of them to look. It is Berthier. "Did something sad happen, I wonder?" She lets out a laugh before walking up the steps. "Rabbit-chan's."

They turn around to let out a gasp as Koan is standing up the top of the steps. "No, you can't, Onee-sama. I'm the one who found her first."

"No, I found her first." Berthier denies.

"Then, whoever kills" "the Rabbits first" "will be the winner." Koan and Berthier talk back and forth as they walk closer, laughing.

Luna-P rolls over causing Berthier to step on her with her boots. She falls backwards and falls down the steps. "Oh, it hurts!" The three of them take this chance and run down the steps and over her. "No way!" Berthier sweatdrops.

Koan laughs as she jumps in the air. "You're quite a sight, Onee-sama!" Koan lands in front of the kids. "You're not getting away."

Luna-P lunges forward but Koan smacks her away with her hand. "Luna-P!"

The real Luna, Crescent and Yue appears and lunges at Koan and attack her face sending her to the ground.

Once again, the three of them take the distraction and run in the other direction. Berthier gets down the steps and gazes down at Koan and lets out a laugh. "You are quite a sigh, Koan." Luna-P smacks into her head causing her to fall face forward to the ground with a leg sticking up in the air.

Luna, Crescent and Yue are smacked out of the way and hit the fence before falling to the ground. Koan and Berthier sit up and reapplies their makeup. "You won't get away with this, Rabbits!" The pair of them curse at the same time before jumping off.

Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako are still waiting for Usagi and Selena.

"Usagi-chan and Selena-chan sure are late." Ami comments. "What could be the reason?"

"I wonder if something happened?" Makoto questions.

"I bet Usagi overslept as usual." Rei points out.

"Anyway, why don't we wait for them a little longer?" Minako suggests.

Artemis looks in front of him and lets out a sound of surprise. "Oh! Luna! Crescent! Yue!"

"What?!" The girls exclaim as they follow Artemis gaze to see the three of them injured.

They all run over to them as they collapse. Ami catches Luna, Rei catches Yue and Makoto catches Crescent.

Luna opens her eyes. "It's terrible, Chibi-Usa-chan, Selene-chan and Teddy are in trouble…"

"Were they attacked?" Rei questions.

"Where did it happen?" Makoto adds.

"Somewhere around the pedestrian bridge at Juban Park," Crescent answers weakly.

"This is terrible!" Artemis states.

"Let's go!" Minako orders urgently. "Artemis, take care of Luna, Crescent and Yue."

They run off while Artemis licks Luna's wounds and Yue is doing the same to Crescent as he is the least injured.

~~~Selena's POV~~~

Usagi and I are walking past a construction site when we see movement to our left. "Oh, Chibi-Usa!/ Selene! Teddy!" Usagi and I exclaim at the same time.

"What are they doing there?" Usagi questions.

"I have no idea," I admit softly.

We run after them and hide behind the steel beams that are stacked together. We duck down and share a look, but we stay quiet. Usagi's eyes widen when Chibi-Usa cries softly.

"Puu…" Chibi-Usa says softly.

"What is the matter?" A female voice questions. "You're crying; aren't you?"

"Puu…" Chibi-Usa repeats.

"You should not cry. You're a strong girl, aren't you?" The voice states.

"No, I'm scared, Puu." Chibi-Usa denies.

"Be strong. You have powerful allies." The voice comments softly.

"I don't have anyone like that." Chibi-Usa denies sadly.

"Hadn't the sailor senshi always helped you in the past?" The voice points out.

"But they're much stronger. Because they even made Mama and Oba…My mama and oba…Look at what they did to them! Even Papa and Oji couldn't beat them!" Chibi-Usa shouts tearfully.

"Don't you remember when you were very young? Don't you remember those senshi who always looked after you in the future city? These senshi are still fighting to protect Crystal Tokyo. And also, the world you are in now. Believe in Sailor Moon, Sailor Celestia and those senshi. I'm sure they will help you." The voice comments before going silent.

Chibi-Usa stands up. "Puu! Puu…" She beings crying softly once more.

I see they got Usagi and my future self…which is probably why the three of them are here in the past instead of the future.

"I found you, Rabbits!" A female voice calls out.

Usagi and I let out a soft gasp and look to see Koan standing in front of the three of them. "Who would've thought you'd be hiding here?"

We share a look before nodding. "Moon Crystal Power Makeup!" Usagi and I call out at the same time.

Koan lifts her hand. "Die!"

"Hold it right there!" Usagi calls out getting their attention.

"Sailor Moon! Sailor Celestia!" Koan exclaims angrily.

"Evil one, picking on little kids who came from the future city all by themselves! In the name of the moon, I will punish you!" Usagi states annoyed.

We jump off and Usagi lands next to Chibi-Usa and I land next to Selene and Teddy.

"Impudent brats!" Koan states before backing away. "Onee-sama's." Berthier, Calaveras and Petz appear.

"The eldest, Petz." Petz states.

"The second, Calaveras." Calaveras states.

"The third, Berthier." Berthier states.

"The youngest, Koan." Koan states.

"We are from…" "The tenth planet…" "The Dark Moon!" "Black Moon…" "The Four Ayakashi Sisters!" They say one after the other before finishing together.

We hear footsteps and turn to see that the girls are walking towards us.

"Sailor Mars!" Rei calls out.

"Sailor Mercury!" Ami-chan calls out.

"Sailor Jupiter!" Mako-chan calls out.

"Sailor Venus!" Minako-chan calls out.

"We've arrived!" They call out together.

"Everyone!" Usagi and I call out happily.

~~~3rd POV~~~

The girls stand facing the Ayakashi sisters briefly before launching their attacks. Koan vs Rei, Berthier vs Ami-chan, Calaveras vs Minako-chan and Petz vs Mako-chan.

Selena senses movement but before she could do anything there is an explosion causing Usagi to hold on to Chibi-Usa as she lets out a scream and Selena to hold onto Selene and Teddy.

The girls hear Usagi's scream and turn briefly to look with worry in their eyes.

The pair of them land on the ground and Usagi falls forward slightly. "Sailor Moon! Sailor Celestia-sama!" Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy cry out.

"Playtime is over now." A male states as he appears in the sky behind them.

"Who are you?!" Usagi demands.

"A member of the Black Moon Clan from the Dark Moon, Crimson Rubeus." He replies.

"Why are you after these children?!" Usagi questions as she pulls Chibi-Usa close.

"Our mission is to change the future of this city. In order to do so, those children…" He trails off as a small ball of energy appears in between his hands before lifting his hands in the air above his head. "…must die."

Usagi and Chibi-Usa let out a gasp just before he sent the attack towards us again. They jump out of the way and the ground explodes beneath them. They land on the ground and dodge out of the way, but they get caught in the blast and they are both sent flying through the air.

Chibi-Usa places her hand on Usagi's arm causing her eyes to snap open as the image of Chibi-Usa sitting on the swing crying appears in her mind. They bang into the wall and fall to the ground.

Rubeus laughs as Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy get out of Usagi's and Selena's arms. Selene and Teddy shake Selena while Chibi-Usa looks down at Usagi. "Sailor Moon! Sailor Moon!/ Sailor Celestia! Sailor Celestia!" The three of them call out at the same time.

Selena forces her eyes to open and sees Selene and Teddy with tears in their eyes. "Mama…" They whisper softly so no one apart from Selena could hear.

My precious musume and musuko…She slowly reaches up with her hand.

Usagi slowly opens her eyes to see tears in Chibi-Usa's eyes again. You're precocious, you like to play pranks and you can be a horrid kid, but…

"Sailor Moon…" Chibi-Usa cries.

Usagi's eyes soften. In truth… Usagi slowly reaches up with her hand.

"This is the end." Rubeus states from behind them. Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy turn to look at their tearful eyes widen as he lifts his hand.

Selena and Usagi push their bodies back up. "Not yet…" They stay at the same time. "We won't die so easily."

Usagi places her hand on Chibi-Usa's shoulders while Selena does the same with Selene and Teddy. "I will protect this girl/ these children no matter what!" They both state at the same time.

Rubeus's eyes widen just as a red rose is thrown and embeds itself in the ground. Mamoru is standing on the top of a crane. "I will not tolerate any villains who threaten young children's lives."

"Don't be so presumptuous!" Rubeus curses before throwing his energy ball at him.

Mamoru jumps out of the way and lands in front of Selena and Usagi. Rubeus throws the energy ball towards them at the same time Mamoru releases red roses.

Rubeus's eyes widen. "What?!"

The roses and the energy ball meet in the middle and causing a mini-explosion. Mamoru wraps his cape around Selena, Usagi and the children while Rubeus lets out a shout and covers his face with his arms.

Mamoru removes his cape from around them and looks down at Selena. "Celestia, Sailor Moon, you're the only ones who can protect these children. Go!"

A small blush appears on Selena's face while Usagi smiles. "Yes!" They both agree.

"Moon Princess Halation!" They both call out at the same time.

Their attacks are sent towards Rubeus who looks up and lets out a gasp as it gets closer to him. "Rubeus-sama!" The Four Ayakashi Sisters call out.

Rubeus disappears and appears in the sky. "Four Ayakashi Sisters, retreat for now!" He orders weakly. The sisters listen and disappear. "I'll make sure you pay for this!" He states before disappearing as well.

~~~Selena's POV~~~

Usagi kneels in front of Chibi-Usa while Selene and Teddy place themselves in my arms and snuggle into my chest.

"Hey, Chibi-Usa, please tell me the truth," Usagi says softly. "You three came from the future, right? What is the tenth planet? What is the clan of the Dark Moon? so your mama and oba were captured by them?"

Usagi's eyes widen when Chibi-Usa turns to look at her with tears in her eyes. She throws herself into Usagi's arms. "Sailor Moon! My mama and oba…Please help my mama and oba, Sailor Moon! please save my mama and oba from those bad guys! Puu said that Sailor Moon, Sailor Celestia and the sailor senshi would help me!" Chibi-Usa lowers her head and tears fall down her cheeks. "Please save my mama and oba…"

"Chibi-Usa…" Usagi mutters as she holds her close as she cries softly.

~~~3rd POV~~~

"Even a beautiful flower in bloom will die as time passes. As proud of their glory as they are, even Crystal Tokyo and the Rabbits mothers will soon…" Wiseman trails off as the image of their mama's appears showing the image of an older Usagi and Selena.
