"Is anyone home?" A female voice calls out. "I'm a cosmetics saleswoman," Koan says.
A smile appears on Rei's face. Yuuichirou appears next to Rei and points at Koan. "Oh! You're…"
Koan looks up. "Oh, you two always get along so well. I'm jealous." She admits with a smile on her face.
Another smile appears on Rei's face. I'm glad you're doing well, Koan.
~~~Present~~~
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Mako-chan, Selene, Teddy, Chibi-Usa and I sit on Usagi's bed and we watch Usagi and Ami-chan.
A panicked look appears on Usagi's face as she sweatdrops and Ami-chan has a smile on hers.
"Check!" Ami-chan says happily.
Usagi lowers her head with tears in her eyes and she looks at the chessboard. "I've lost."
We clap our hands when they finished their game. "Brilliant!" Mako-chan praises.
Usagi stands up with a book in her hand. "Man and I did my research, too," Usagi says with a small pout. She lowers the book and looks at Ami-chan. "But I guess you're good at chess as well as schoolwork."
"Chess is the perfect game of intellect. It cultivates a calm mentality and accurate judgement."
Chibi-Usa moves over to Usagi with a sly look on her face. "Calm and accurate. Words that you'll never be associated with, no matter what you do."
Usagi sweatdrops. "You are so not cute!"
Chibi-Usa looks away from Usagi and looks at Ami-chan instead. "But you're amazing, Ami-chan!"
"Come to think of it, you're the Junior Chess Champion of Japan; aren't you, Ami-chan?" Mako-chan queries.
"She is." I agree softly.
Ami-chan places a hand on her cheek and blushes. "Oh, that was just luck."
"All right, let's all learn chess from Ami-chan and aim to be future champions!" Usagi exclaims cheerfully.
"I think I'll pass. Being calm and stuff like that isn't really my thing." Mako-chan admits.
Usagi nods her head happily. "Oh, I can totally understand! You're even worse than me at those things!"
Mako-chan looks at Usagi in disbelief. "You didn't have to say it like that…"
Luna lowers her head and lets out a sigh. "That's the pot calling the kettle black.
"I'll pass as well. Selene-chan, Teddy and I are going downstairs to do some baking together." I say softly.
Usagi perks up and looks at me with stars in her eyes. "Some for me too?"
I let out a soft chuckle. "I'll make some for all of us." I stand up along with Selene and Teddy and we head downstairs.
~~~3rd POV~~~
"Hey, Usagi, you wanna play with me?" Chibi-Usa offers.
Usagi holds up a finger with a smile on her face. "Sure. Bring it on and don't hold back. I'll show you just how harsh competition can be."
They play a match and it doesn't last long. "Check!" Chibi-Usa calls out causing Ami and Makoto to sweatdrop.
"Oh, wait…wait a minute!" Usagi panics.
Chibi-Usa holds up a hand and turns her head to the side with her eyes closed. "No! The world of competition is harsh!"
Usagi sweatdrops and lowers her head. "Oh, brother."
"Chibi-Usa-chan, you're very good." Ami praises.
Makoto stands up. "Oh, I think I'm going to head home soon."
Ami lifts her arm and looks at her watch. "Oh, no, I have something to do, too."
"What? Do you have cram school, Ami-chan?" Usagi questions.
Ami shakes her head. "No, I'm going to Chess Tower."
"Chess Tower?" Usagi queries.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
"Now, what do you want to make?" I ask Selene and Teddy softly.
"Cherry Shortbread Cookies!" The pair of them exclaims happily.
"Okay." I agree with a chuckle. "Let's see, we need all-purpose flour, confectioners' sugar, corn-starch, chopped cherries and butter." I look at Teddy and Selene who was looking in the cupboards. "Do we have all of that?"
Teddy is holding the cherries and corn-starch while Selene is holding the flour, confectioner's sugar and butter. "We have all of it." The pair of them say at the same time with a big smile on their faces.
"Okay, wash your hands and we can start," I order softly.
With the pair of them are doing that, I turn the oven onto 150 degrees C before getting out what else that I need.
Selene and Teddy walk back over to me, their hands washed and dried. "We need a ¾ of a cup of butter and ½ cup of confectioners' sugar. Good, that's it." I praise softly as the pair of them measure out the ingredients. "Do you want to measure out the corn-starch, flour and cherries while I mix the butter and sugar?"
"Yeah!" Selene and Teddy nod happily.
"Okay, we need ½ a cup of corn-starch, 1 cup of all-purpose flour and ½ a cup of chopped cherries," I add causing them to nod their heads.
I leave the pair of them to do that before creaming the butter and confectioners' sugar together. I look up to see Selene and Teddy finished. "You done? Then pour in the corn-starch and flour." They do and I stir the mixture together. "Alright, now pour in the cherries." They do and I stir the cherries in and add a bit of vanilla.
"Good, now all we need to do is add teaspoonfuls of the dough onto the cookie sheets," I say. "Do the pair of you want to do it?"
"We do!" They exclaim happily before filling the trays with the dough.
I wait until they are done before pressing with the tines of a floured fork over before placing them into the oven for 10-15 mins. While the cookies are cooking I wash the equipment that I used while Teddy dries them and Selene places them away.
15 minutes later I remove the cookies and place them on a plate to cool before washing up the rest of the equipment. Once again, Teddy dries them, and Selene puts them away.
I pick up the plate filled with the cookies and the three of us head back up to Usagi's room.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Koan is seen with a smile on her face. "Oh, you look beautiful!" Koan praises.
"Really?" The woman, sitting in front of a small mirror, questions.
Calaveras lets out a scoff and opens her eyes. "Pitiful"
"Thank you very much!" Koan says as the woman leaves.
Petz opens her eyes. "She's a disgrace to the Four Ayakashi Sisters."
"Yes, may I help you find something?" Koan asks as someone walks up to her.
Berthier opens her eyes. "But why? Why did Koan want to become a normal human?"
"I wouldn't know what goes through the mind of a traitor." Calaveras states.
"She is no longer our imotou, and she doesn't mean anything to us now," Petz adds.
"Our clan has no need for traitors." Rubeus comments.
Berthier turns her head to look at Koan in the mirror. "Foolish Koan."
Rubeus narrows his eyes and the mirror shatters and Koan's image disappears. Berthier turns her head to look at Rubeus. Rubeus turns away and looks at the centre. "Well, we'll think of how to deal with the traitor later." The map appears and turns to the side. "This is the newly discovered Crystal Point." Image of a chess piece appears.
"Rubeus-sama, leave this to me!" Berthier offers before disappearing through the mirror.
"Berthier is eager for success." Petz comments.
"There is nothing wrong with that." Calaveras points out. "If all goes well, we'll just join in and share the credit."
"That's true." Petz agrees.
"I will trust you to take care of the rest." Rubeus orders.
"Yes, Sir!" Petz and Calaveras agree.
Rubeus opens his eyes and lets out a silent scoff. The glory will all be mine and mine alone. In the end, you guys are nothing but expendable pawns to protect the king, me. Just keep up the hard work until I have no further use for you.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
We sit together in Usagi's room for another half an hour as we eat all of the cookies before heading to the Chess Tower, well, Chibi-Usa, Selene and Teddy wander off somewhere together.
"Hmm, this shape looks really familiar," Usagi comments when we get there and we see a large chess piece on the top of the building.
"It's shaped like a cake," Mako-chan adds.
Ami-chan lets out a laugh. "It's not a cake; it's a rook."
Mako-chan turns to look at Ami-chan. "A rook?"
Usagi holds up a finger with a smile on her face. "Mako-chan, it's a chess piece that's shaped like a castle."
Ami-chan lowers her arm and gazes up at the building. "The owner of this building is a huge fan of chess."
"I see," Mako-chan says before following Ami-chan's gaze to the building.
"Next Sunday, they are having the opening ceremony for this Chess Tower, and they're holding a worldwide chess tournament." Ami-chan comments.
"I get it! You're entering that tournament, aren't you, Ami-chan?" Mako-chan queries.
"Then, you'll win for sure!" Usagi says happily. "Right, nee-chan?"
"If she stays focused, she should." I agree softly.
Ami-chan looks down shyly with a blush on her face. "Oh, no, I just like to play chess. The result isn't an issue."
"The result is the issue." A female voice suddenly says.
We turn to see a woman, Berthier, though the girls don't recognize her. Berthier is wearing a red and black checkered sleeveless short dress, black high heels and a necklace with a red diamond pendant in the centre.
"A competition that you don't intend to win is a waste of time, don't you think? After all, the point of a competition is to win." Berthier comments.
"Who the heck are you?" Usagi questions.
Berthier doesn't answer and just let out a laugh.
"Even if you lose, if you did your best, then who cares?" Usagi points out.
"That's the sour-grapes rationalization of a loser." Berthier comments. "Oh, of course, I suppose your nice, friendly games of chess are nothing more than child's play."
"Hey, look here!" Usagi says annoyed.
Berthier walks by us. "Oh, pardon me. I'll play your little game with you some other time, okay?"
"What is her problem?" Mako-chan questions annoyed.
"Meanie," Usagi says with a pout.
I glance at Ami-chan to see that she has a worried look on her face.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Ami heads inside and heads to the reception desk. She is signing a piece of paper when a man appears behind her. "Ah, it's you Ami-kun. I haven't seen you in a while."
Ami looks up surprised before turning and bowing. "Yes." She stands up straight. "It has become a wonderful building."
"Thank you. By the way, you're entering the tournament, too, aren't you?" The man asks.
"Yes." Ami agrees.
"What do you say? Since it's been a while." The man queries as he looks at a chess table.
Ami follows his gaze before a smile appears on her face. "Yes."
They go over to the table and begin playing a match.
"I often played with your ojii-san like this, too." The man comments.
"Yes." Ami agrees.
"Ami-kun has something happened?" The man questions.
Ami looks up surprised. "What?"
"Before, it seemed as though you played to forget your loneliness. But not anymore. You seem somehow more…" The man trails off.
A blush appears on Ami's cheeks. "I made some wonderful friends."
"I see! I'm glad to hear that. Good friends are a treasure worth more than anything in the world." The man comments.
"Yes, I think so, too." Ami agrees before making another move. "Check."
The man narrows his closed eyes. "Ami-kun. Just between the two of us, would you mind letting me rethink that move?"
Ami lets out a soft laugh. "You haven't changed at all."
"Well, well, that smile is quite nice." The man praises.
Berthier's figure goes past causing Ami to look up surprised. "Um, the reception desk closed at six, right?"
"Yeah, the only ones left on this floor should be you and me." The man admits.
"Would you mind if I look around the place a little?" Ami questions.
"Oh, not at all." The man agrees without hesitation.
Ami stands up. "Thank you very much."
Berthier makes it to a set of doors and opens them. "So, this is the centre of the Crystal Point. Dark Water!"
"Stop it!" Ami calls out.
Berthier turns to look. It's that nice, friendly girl. "Little girl, you're very brave. But the world is not so easy that you'll be able to stop me alone. besides, I hate goody-two-shoes like you. I'll send you to hell!"
She sends energy towards Ami. It hits Ami and sends her backwards with Ami letting out a shout. She lands on the floor but forces herself back up.
"It'll be better for you not to get up." Berthier lifts her hands. "Because, see…" Energy is released sending Ami backwards again. "Oh, did that hurt? I'm sorry. Don't worry, I'll end your pain with the next blow."
Ami pushes herself back up. "Mercury…" Ami says weakly causing Berthier to blink her eyes surprised.
"Mercury Star Power Makeup!" Ami calls out.
Berthier backs away slightly surprised. "My, what a surprise! So, you're Sailor Mercury. Now, I'll have a nice souvenir to take back to Rubeus-sama." She opens her hand and releases energy.
"Shine Aqua Illusion!" Ami calls out.
Their attacks meet causing all of the energy Berthier released to disappear. Berthier looks around surprised before folding her arms across her chest. "How dare you interfere with my work?!" She lifts her hands.
"Sparkling Wide Pressure!" Makoto calls out.
Berthier lets out a shout as a cut appears on her hand. "That hurt."
~~~Selena's POV~~~
Usagi, Mako-chan and I appear behind Ami-chan.
Berthier looks at us. "You're terrible! Three against one is playing dirty! I'm against violence!"
Mako-chan takes a step forward. "Look who's talking! You want me to fire off another one at you?!"
"I'm mad now! You will pay for this; I assure you!" Berthier states before disappearing.
"Oh, no!" Ami-chan cries as she does.
"Did something happen?" Usagi questions.
Ami-chan turns to look at us with a worried look on her face. "She knows who I am!"
"What?!" Usagi and Mako-chan exclaim.
"I transformed right in front of Berthier," Ami-chan admits before closing her eyes and lowering her head. "I'm sorry."
"If Berthier is after Chess Tower, she's sure to show up again." Mako-chan points out.
Usagi waves her hand in front of her. "Don't worry about it! We'll take care of it somehow!"
"We will." I agree softly.
Ami-chan looks up with a small smile on her face. "Thank you."
~~~3rd POV~~~
Berthier sits in front of a mirror looking at the cut. "Oh, it left a scratch, just as I thought. It really ticks me off that they scratched my perfect skin."
Petz appears slightly out of another mirror. "Oh, are you hurt?"
Calaveras appears slightly out of the same mirror. "No way! Oh, it's true."
Berthier lets out a soft gasp and turns her head to look. "Oh, onee-sama's! The thing is…"
"How awful," Petz says.
"It's bleeding." Calaveras comments.
"Don't tell me you failed." Petz queries.
"Of course not!" Berthier denies.
"I'd hope not! If you failed after volunteering for the mission, you couldn't just come crawling back here like nothing happened." Calaveras states.
"I would be so humiliated that I would die," Petz adds.
Berthier turns to look at them with a hand over her mouth. "Oh, please, onee-sama's! Of course! I won't be needing your help."
"I'm relieved to hear that." Petz states.
"One ninny like Koan is more than enough," Calaveras comments causing the three of them to laugh.
Berthier stops and looks at the mirror. She leaves the ship and appears elsewhere in her human disguise. Ami-san…no, Sailor Mercury, let us compete at chess, the game you're so proud of. I can't wait.
She walks away, arms behind her back laughing.
It isn't long before Berthier appears at the reception desk at the Chess Tower. "I'd like to enter the worldwide chess tournament…"
"Alright, what's your name?" The receptionist asks.
"Let's see, what should I do?" Berthier says causing the receptionist to look up. Berthier releases some energy and her eyes turn pink/red. "I haven't decided yet."
The receptionist's eyes widen before going blank and the energy disappears. "That way, please." She says as she points to the right.
"Thank you," Berthier says as she walks in that direction.
Ami is on one side of the room playing someone and Berthier is on the other.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
We meet up (Usagi, Rei, Mako-chan, Minako-chan, Luna, Crescent, Yue) with Koan before heading to the Chess Tower.
"My heart's pounding!" Usagi says excitedly.
"Yeah!" Rei agrees.
An image of a male disappears from the screen and Ami-chan's get bigger.
"Oh, she won another one!" Mako-chan exclaims.
"Won't it be great if Ami-chan wins?" Koan questions with a smile on her face.
"Yeah!" Minako-chan agrees.
"And so, let us cheer her on!" Usagi offers happily. "Rah, rah, Ami-chan! Go for it, go for it, Ami-chan!"
I look at Minako-chan and Mako-chan who has lowers their heads with a blush on their faces causing me to let out a soft chuckle.
Rei moves forward and snatches the fans out of Usagi's hand with an angry mark on her head. Usagi looks at her sweatdropping. "Usagi!" Rei scolds.
"You girls…" The man in front of us says causing us to look at him.
Mako-chan bows. "Oh, I'm sorry for being so rowdy."
"No, no." The man denies it. "That is, are you girls Ami-kun's friends?"
"Yes!" We all agree.
"I see." The man nods his head. "So, you girls are the wonderful friends she mentioned."
"Who are you, ojii-san?" Usagi asks.
"Just the eccentric old man who built this Chest Tower." He states.
"Then, you're the owner!" Usagi exclaims.
"Yes." The man agrees.
Minako-chan leans down. "Excuse me, but do you think Ami-chan has a chance of winning?"
The man looks up at the screen. "Her rival is the problem. See? She won another one. The girl is good."
I look to see that Koan's eyes widen.
"All right!" Rei cheers as Ami-chan wins another one.
"Ami-chan sure is good!" Mako-chan praises.
"She'll win this round with no problems again," Usagi says happily.
Berthier wins again causing Rei to let out a gasp. "Oh, that girl won another one, too."
"She really is good, just like the owner said." Usagi praises.
Koan looks down worriedly causing me to place my hand gently on her arm. She looks at me and I give her a soft smile causing her to give one back before we look back at the screen.
Berthier wins her next and so does Ami-chan causing them to face each other in the final round. "It's the final round at last!" Rei comments.
"Her opponent is that girl, just as expected." Mako-chan states.
I use my magic to allow their match to appear in my mind so that I can see Ami-chan and Berthier. Berthier knows who Ami-chan is, so she is in danger if she is alone.
Ami-chan holds out her hand. "Let's have a fun game of chess."
Berthier lets out a laugh and places out her hand. They shake hands and a smile appears on Berthier's face before chess pieces are placed on the chess table. "I'll like to use these pieces for the final game."
Ami-chan looks down at them. "They're beautiful."
"They aren't just beautiful." Berthier states before laughing.
"What?" Ami-chan questions confused.
Koan looks down at Berthier, worry once more in her gaze.
Berthier and Ami-chan start their match.
"She's good." The man praises.
"Oh, Ami-chan's pieces…" Mako-chan trails off.
Usagi lets out a gasp and places her hands on the seat in front of her. "Ami-chan!"
Berthier takes her move. Ami-chan stares at the table causing Berthier to let out a laugh and look at Ami-chan with a smile on her face. "Come now, what's the matter? It's your turn."
Ami-chan lets a gasp out and snaps out of it. "Oh, I know!" Ami-chan takes her move.
"Yay!" Usagi cheers causing the others to do so as well. "Their positions are reversed now!"
Berthier narrows her eyes as Ami-chan makes her next move. "Check."
"She did it!" Mako-chan cheers.
I sense some energy surrounding Berthier as she glares down at the chess table. "Not yet. The match isn't settled yet."
"What?" Ami-chan asks as she looks up.
"The real competition has only just begun, Sailor Mercury." Berthier states.
Ami-chan lets out a gasp and stands up.
Berthier lifts her head. "Playtime is over!" She stands up. She suddenly looks to the right and releases her water. "Quiet!" Her water freezes the camera into ice.
The screen in front of us goes blank, followed by the lights.
"Goodness, are they having technical difficulties?" The man queries as he starts to stand up.
Rei leans forward. "Wait! We'll go check on it."
"Stay right here!" Minako-chan orders Koan as she rushes off.
"Moon Crystal Power!" Usagi and I call out.
"Mars Star Power!" Rei calls out.
"Jupiter Star Power!" Mako-chan calls out.
"Venus Star Power!" Minako-chan calls out.
"Makeup!" We all call out.
We rush to the room and Usagi throws the doors open. "Hold it right there! You're a million and fifty thousand years ahead of yourself if you think you can challenge Ami-chan in a game of chess! For a girl who doesn't know her place…In the name of the moon, I will punish you!"
"You little dummies," Berthier states before suddenly we are lifted off the ground in a bubble of sorts.
"Sailor Moon! Sailor Celestia! Everyone!" Ami-chan calls out.
Berthier lets out a laugh. "As they say, 'Those born stupid, die stupid.' Sailor Mercury, I challenge you to a match." Berthier holds up a chess piece. "If you don't play the game you're so proud of…"
"Oh my god, it's cold!" Usagi cries.
Mako-chan kicks the ice bubble around us. "It's no good!"
"What's going on?" Minako-chan questions.
"See? Feel like playing now?" Berthier taunts.
"All right." Ami-chan agrees.
"Okay, good girl." Berthier praises. "Since you're being good, I'm also going to give myself an advantage." She moves chess pieces onto the table.
Ami-chan sits down. "That's terrible!"
Berthier lets out a laugh. "If you don't hurry up and escape, I'll put you in check."
Ami-chan moves a piece but Berthier moves hers to where Ami-chan just moves hers. "It's no use."
Ami-chan lets out a gasp as under her knees freeze into ice.
"Oh, right…When you play with my special pieces and lose a piece, your body becomes frozen."
"Mercury!" Mako-chan calls out.
"Hang in there!" Minako-chan encourages.
"You can't lose!" Usagi states.
"You need to stay calm," I say softly.
"Believe in your own strength!" Rei adds.
"If you forfeit, I will let you and you alone live." Berthier offers.
Ami-chan looks up. "Let's continue." She moves another piece.
Berthier lets out a laugh. "I think you might be quite a dummy yourself." She removes Ami-chan's pieces and she freezes up to just below her chest.
Usagi bangs her fists on the bubble. "Mercury, that's enough!"
Mako-chan does the same. "Run, Mercury!"
"All right, since it's come to this…" Rei trails off. "Burning Mandala!" Rei calls out.
We have to dodge out of the way as the attack moves about inside the bubble.
"Mars, you idiot!" Usagi scolds.
"Im sorry." Rei apologizes.
"Check." Berthier states. "Just stop being proud and pretending that you're okay. Are you going to give up your life for these strangers? That would be stupid."
"You're wrong," Ami-chan says causing Berthier to look at her. "They're not strangers; they're my friends!"
Berthier stands up with a confused look on her face. "Friends?"
"Even if it costs me my life, they're my precious friends, and I have to protect them!" Ami-chan comments.
Berthier scoffs and sits back down. "Stop trying to buy time."
Calaveras and Petz suddenly appear behind Berthier.
"Good work, Berthier." Calaveras praises.
"All three of us will work together to finish them off." Petz comments.
Berthier closes her eyes. "Honestly, you two have some nerve!"
"Oh, but the three of us make up the Three Ayakashi Sisters," Calaveras says.
"That's right; we should all be nice and share the glory," Petz adds.
Berthier moves another piece. "Check."
Before she could, a rose flies past and embeds itself in the ground.
Berthier stands up with a scowl on her face before it turns to a smile. "You, again."
"Check!" Mamo-chan says causing the chess piece to be destroyed causing the ice to be removed from Ami-chan's body.
At the same time, lunar energy surrounds me. I release it and the bubble surrounding us is destroyed.
We fall to the ground. We land on our feet but Usagi lands on her bottom. "Ouch!"
"If you do not understand what it feels like to be a pawn, you have no right to handle a queen. Goodbye." Mamo-chan says before disappearing.
Berthier turns to look at Calaveras and Petz. "Onee-sama's!"
Petz lifts her hand slightly. "This is your tactical mistake, Berthier."
"That's right!" Calaveras agrees. "As befits a member of our clan, you will pay for your failure with your life!"
"We expect you to do the right thing," Petz adds before the pair of them disappear.
Berthier lowers her hand before her body shakes, and she laughs. She turns to look back at us with a smile on her face. "See? In the end, that's what you get, even from sisters related by blood. Moreover, no one would ever protect a complete stranger at the risk of their own life. What's the matter? You look so sombre. Come on, laugh. Even I think it's laughable that I held out hope until the very end that I could rely on my onee-sama's."
Tears roll down her cheek before she lowers her head and her body begins to shake. "It's so laughable…Laugh, damn it!" She suddenly shouts. "Dark Water Full Power! I'll take you all with me!"
Ice covers the room as the girls let out a shout as the energy intensifies.
"Ultimately, people are alone both when they're born and when they die! Love is…Love is…Useless!" Berthier shouts as ice covers her own body.
I sense Koan just as she runs into the room. "Stop it, dear onee-sama Berthier!"
"Koan! So, you've come to laugh at me, too!" Berthier states.
Koan walks towards her. "Onee-sama…" She lets out a gasp as her cheek is cut followed by under her neck, cutting her top. "Onee-sama, you are not alone!"
"A traitor like you could never understand what I'm feeling!" Berthier denies it as more ice covers her body, only leaving her face free.
"No, Onee-sama. I can understand how forlorn you are at heart!" Koan says as tears fill her eyes.
"Shut up!" Berthier yells.
A block of ice hits Koan in the face causing her to let out a shout and fall to her knees. We all rush over to her. "Koan!"
Koan looks back up at Berthier. "Onee-sama, please live." She stands up. "Humans have…" She falls forward slightly before standing back straight. "Humans have the capacity for incredible deep love. Onee-sama!" Koan cries out.
The energy comes to a stop and the ice disappears from Berthier's body. "Koan…" She places a hand on her chest. "Will I also be able to see that love?"
Koan runs to Berthier with a smile on her face. "Onee-sama!"
"Koan! Are you crying? Did that hurt?" Berthier queries.
"No, I'm just so happy," Koan admits.
The pair of them hug each other. "Koan, I'm so sorry!"
"Onee-sama, I love you," Koan says as the ice completely disappears from the room.
Koan looks up at Berthier and she nods her head.
"Moon Crystal Power!" Usagi and I call out.
"Refresh!" Berthier calls out as our energy surrounds her. She appears as a normal human now, just like Koan.
Ami-chan places her hand on Koan's shoulder. "Isn't this wonderful?"
"Yes. Thank you." Koan says thankfully.
"You hung in there well." Mako-chan praises.
~~~Later on~~~
Ami-chan, Usagi and I are sitting on Usagi bed while Berthier and Koan have a chess match. We share a smile before sweatdropping with Koan request.
"Onee-sama, could you please take back that move?"
"No way." Berthier denies. "We may be sisters, but there are no time-outs."
A chess piece falls out of her hand causing her to sweatdrops when Koan leans forward. "That's not fair! You were using an extra piece?!"
"Now, now, don't be such a stickler for the rules." Berthier comments.
Koan stands up and lifts her fists playfully. "That's not fair!"
She leans herself on Berthier with a smile on her face and laughs happily. "Onee-sama, I love you."
