Hello, readers, remember me?
I know I sound like a broken record by this point, but I am sorry for putting off this story (I can't believe I've turned into George R. R. Martin). I wanted to post a chapter by Christmas Eve, but I didn't like the idea of churning out a chapter just to meet a deadline. I want to do well by this story! Speaking of which, to make up for the lack of a proper chapter, how about I give you a bit of insight into my inspiration for this fic. Back before I even knew what fanfiction was, I noticed in Veggie Tales, that Awful Alvin is the only Veggie character with "organic" limbs. In middle school (still ignorant of fanfiction), I came up with a theory, that it was due to some sort of experiment he performed on himself. Once I started with fanfiction however, I came up with something…darker. Also, while it becomes more apparent later, you're free to guess which two characters inspired Mira's appearance. No promises of course, but I want to write more by January (I've been seriously considering a blog). Anyway, feel free to review, and keep me accountable if need be (which I most likely do).
