Okay, before I have Shantae met my two OC's Genies, I thought I cover their lives a bit. I'm started with Glacia, the Ice Half-Genie. Remember she's shy but very friendly.
Glacier Town, a town with snow all year round. This town had its own Genie guardian named Glacia. She was dressed like a harem dancer, but she had a jacket on her to stay warm. They were also light blue She was able to tie her long white hair into a snowflake, which many say was impossible. Glacia walks around town and waves at a few kids before spotting her father.
"Ah, Glacia! How my favorite half-genie?" He said and hugs her.
"Just fine, father." She said.
Mitch was a Relic Hunter that met her mother, and the two fell in love. When her mother had to return to the Genie Realm, Mitch had to raise her by himself. Glacia didn't remember much about her mother, but she away took her magic as a gift from her.
"So what did you find this time?" She asked her father.
"A very strange stone." He said and held it up.
It was a blue stone with a snowflake in it. Glacia looks at it and was amazed to see the snowflake moving. She could also feel something from it.
"Glacia? Are you okay?" Mitch asked.
She blinks and pulls away from the stone, blushing a bit.
"Sorry, father. It's just so pretty." She said, a bit shy.
Mitch smiles. He recalls her mother acting just like that whenever she was caught by something, and someone asks her about it. Glacia clears her throat and stood up straight.
"I take it you would like some hot chocolate?" She said.
Mitch smiles. Glacia's hot chocolate was the best. Many had no idea how she made it so good, but it was very delicious.
"Sure, I would love a cup." He said.
Mitch sat at their house, drinking his hot chocolate as Glacia pour another cup. Because of her ice magic, the cold never bothers her but she would always make three cups. Always saying that the third cup was for her mother. Mitch didn't know when she would return, but he was glad that Glaica was keeping her mother in her thoughts.
"By the way, father. I was invited to a Half-Genie Festival." She said.
"Really?! I knew there were more half-genies out there." Mitch said.
"I didn't go," Glacia said.
"Why not? Sounds like a great chance to meet others like you." Mitch asked.
"I just..." She said, looking away.
Mitch knew why. His daughter was very shy.
"Glacia, you shouldn't worry about what others would think of you. Your mother never did." He told her.
Glacia knew what her father meant. It just was hard to meet new people that come by. She really didn't have any new friends. She took a sip of her hot chocolate and then heard a stomp. Glacia knew that stomp. She places her cup down and ran out outside. It was a giant yeti known as Aaron. Glacia sighs, knowing that he was once again trying to find what her father brought back.
"Sorry, father. I better go stop him." She said and ran towards him.
Mitch sighs. He knew why Aaron was there. He pulls out the stone and shook his head.
"Somethings never change." He said.
"Find it! I know the Relic Hunter brought something back!" Aaron yelled.
His men ran all over the place, searching and destroying everything they can. One of the men heard something behind it and turns to see a fist heading straight for it. It was knocked away, and Glacia stood ready to fight. She might be shy, but she wasn't going to let anyone get hurt.
"Aaron! Don't you have something better to do?!" She said.
"Half-Genie! Crush her!" Aaron shouted.
Some of his men ran towards her but were quickly blown away by her ice magic. Aaron groans before summoning a giant snowball and throwing it. Glacia dodges it and threw her snowball. Unlike Aaron's, Glaica's snowball burst apart on hitting him, blinding him for a few seconds. But that's all she needs. She forms some ice under Aaron, knowing the yeti would lose his footing. Once he fell, Glaica summons up a powerful blizzard and blows Aaron and his men out of the town.
"I'LL BE BACK!" Aaron shouted.
Glacia sighs as felt a bit drained. Using her Blizzard Storm magic was her most powerful magic. It took a lot out of her just to use it. And it's the other magic that could force Aaron to leave. She heard the town cheer for her as she blushes. She could never get used to the praise the people gave her.
"Nice work Glacia," Mitch said, smiling.
She smiles. She turns and saw the Mayor stepping up. Glacia sighs, the town's mayor hire her as the town genie's guardian, but lately, he has been trying to fire her. She did not doubt that he was going to try again.
"Glacia, thank you once again for saving our town. Now..." He started, only for Mitch to stop him.
"If you think for a second I'm going to let you try and fire my girl for the 20th time, then you lose more than the town's guardian he said, trying of the mayor going against his word.
"I hire her to protect the town. She has failed each time." The Mayor said.
"Aaron always attacks the town after I return. The stupid fool keeps thinking I brought back a powerful weapon." Mitch reminds him.
"And he keeps coming back after your daughter beats him! We need someone that can defeat Aaron for good!" The Mayor yells.
"Glacia won't kill him! She showed that she was much more than just someone that has powerful magic!" Mitch yells.
"ENOUGH!"
Everyone turns and saw that Glacia had shouted and trying very hard not to cry.
"Mayor, you are asking me to do something I swore on my mother very soul I would never do! I might kill monsters, but that because they are mostly mindless! But Aaron is not mindless! He might try to take whatever my father brings back, but he's a living person! I would never kill him!" She screams, unable to stop the tears.
Mitch was shocked. He hasn't seen his daughter this upset since the day she learned what really happen to her mother. He knew that Glacia really misses her and was trying to put on a brave face. The Mayor, on the other hand, didn't like the tone she was giving him. He walks up and slaps her. Mitch was really upset now. He didn't care what he was about to do. He turns the mayor around and punches him.
"No one, and I mean no one, HARMS MY LITTLE GIRL!" He shouted.
The other townspeople glare at their Mayor, who's back away. They were happy that he hired Glaica as their town guardian, and they all like the genie girl. Even more than their Mayor. Mitch checks on his daughter, who was really crying now.
"You're heartless. Glacia is not someone that you can use for your own reason. She might be half-genie, but she's also half-human!" He said, facing the mayor.
The Mayor stood up and was about to say something, but Mitch stops him.
"Hitting my daughter was the last straw. I'm reporting you to the Sultana!" He said.
"WHAT?!" The Mayor shouted.
The townspeople nodded. They all had complaints about their mayor. The only reason they haven't reported him was because they were trying to help Glacia fit in. But enough was enough. Their mayor was abusing his power. Mitch faces away from the Mayor and helps his daughter to her fight. Glacia looks down before hugging him.
Later that night...
Mitch turns to his sleeping daughter, her white hair now undone. He sighs and picks up the now cold chocolate. He still remembers the day that he met his wife and how they fell in love. Glacia's mother was trapped inside a lamp, forcing her to grant everyone wishes. He felt bad for her after hearing her tale and made a promise. After using two of his wishes, he would let her go free. He didn't use them for a long time, but let his wife stay out of the lamp. He still remembers his first wish. He wishes for her to enjoy her life. A chance to taste freedom. His second wish was a little forced. He was badly hurt and could barely hear what she was saying. She somehow got him to wish for her to save his life. After a few months of traveling, Mitch confessed that he was in love with her, and she was too. He frees her from the lap and soon married. Once Glacia was born, she was forced to leave. Saying her friends were in trouble and had to help him. It was only later he learns that she had to go back to the Genie Realm to stay alive, but she was always watching over him and their daughter.
Mitch pulls out a locket and opens it. Inside was a picture of him and his genie wife. Glacia was a spitting image of her mother. Only, she had her long white hair fall freely behind her. Mitch knew that Glaica's birthday was coming up, and he was thinking about giving this to her. After all, he wasn't going to be around forever. His daughter was going to need something to remember him and her mother by.
He walks up and kisses her forehead.
"Goodnight, my little snowflake." He said.
"May the snow bring you wonderful dreams."
Mitch was shocked to hear that voice. However, he smiles and heads to bed himself, just missing a snowflake laying on Glaica's forehead.
And the long-awaited first chapter of Element Half Genies. Sorry, about that everyone. I didn't forget this idea. I was busy with so many other things I never got around to finishing this chapter. This is only part of Glacia's life. I got one more Half-Genie to cover before I have all three of them meet up. In case anyone forgets, this takes place after Seven Sirens. Up next is the Electric Half-Genie, Levina! And she's not related to Zapple!
