Chapter one: the blue serpent
It was an exciting day on berk for it's chief, hiccup haddock the third. as he and his friends were readying their dragons to go follow a new undiscovered dragon that flew over berk in the middle of the night and woke everyone up by letting out a mighty roar, when it let out that roar, everyone in the village was drowsy and angry but when they left their houses to see the commotion, their drowsiness and anger were destroyed when they saw the dragon in awe, hiccup told everyone to go back to bed and get rest for Tomorrow and in the morning, hiccup was bright and early, earlier than normal, to learn about this new dragon. The dragon was large with a long, slim body like a snack, it had horns in a Mohawk formation, the forearms, back, chest and tail was glowing in a blue so light, it's almost white but the most interesting thing about this dragon is that it doesn't have wings and is flying through the air just fine. As they were packing, hiccup could hear fishlegs squealing with excitement.
"Ooh, this is so exciting, a dragon flying with no need for wings? It's the biggest discovery in dragon history!" The ingermen boy said as ruffnut and tuffnut were predicting what this new dragon can do.
"I bet it can split a quaken in half with it's jaw." Tuffnut said as ruffnut chuckled "I bet it can swallow a scauldron whole." ruffnut said as snotlout groaned in annoyance "I bet it can shut you two up for good!" He said to the twins.
Hiccup chuckled at the twins and the jorgenson softly as he readied toothless' saddle, the night fury in question was whimpering as hiccup tried to calm the dragon down. Toothless has been like this ever since they saw the new dragon, not only toothless but every dragon on berk, almost like the dragons know something that the humans don't, the Berkians tried everything to calm them but no avail, even the sage fruits weren't doing a thing.
"I know bud, we'll keep our distance from that dragon if you're that worried" hiccup told the toothless, who cooed in response, hiccup smiled and turned to the other riders.
"Okay gang, we will follow this new dragon but keep your distance because of how the dragons have been acting to its appearance." He told the riders who nodded their heads, Astrid putted her left hand on hiccup's shoulder.
"Hiccup, for some reason, I don't trust that dragon, more than dagur when he saw the attack plans about Viggo's ships" She told hiccup, yep hiccup remembered that day when dagur found his attack plans on Viggo's hidden docks, dagur tried to tell them that it was a trap but the riders didn't believe him so dagur decided to go to those docks and proved it was a trap after all, after that, hiccup always kept his guard up since.
"I know Astrid, I had that feeling to but we need to know what it is and where its going, dragons migrate to different regions for a reason" he replied to his girlfriend before kissing her on the cheek, astrid felt better after that kiss.
A while later, hiccup put his mom in charge and took of to find the blue serpent. It took 6 hours but caught up to the serpent. it was fascinating up close, the glowing parts of the body were spewing glowing particles as it flew.
"It's amazing" Astrid said as hiccup noticed something under the clouds, as they kept going there was an opening in clouds to reveal mountains, forests and old, abandoned buildings. Hiccup was full of excitement, not only they discovered a new dragon but a new region to add to hiccup's map. Scanning the landscape, hiccup noticed a moving purple figure on the ground so he took out his telescope and looked through it and what he saw next was shocking, it was a tiger but it was big, purple and had scales, not fur. Zooming in he saw it have large, yellow horns and the tip of the tail looked like a spear head. Hiccup wasn't believing what he was seeing so he decided to ask fishlegs if he knows what it is.
"Uhh fishlegs, do you so happen to know about any purple tigers with scales and horns, do you?" He ask fishlegs as he passed the telescope to the ingermen boy, who looked threw the glass. Fishlegs' jaw dropped as he lowered the looking glass and turned to hiccup.
"No, I've read every book about animals of different regions and valka told me about the creature she'd seen that aren't in the books" fishlegs replied as he passed the scope back to hiccup, when he took another look at the tiger threw the scope, he saw it looking at his direction like it knows exactly where hiccup is.
"Hiccup." Astrid called to him as he turned his head towards the hofferson girl, when he quickly looked threw the scope again, the tiger was gone.
"What is it as-?" Hiccup asked before seeing the serpent they were following, turned its head to look at the riders and dragons. It turned round and let out another roar at the riders and dragons and saw its jaw split open like a flower, hiccup, Astrid, snotlout and fishlegs cringed as the twin were amazed of the jaw. The serpent then flew straight at them and started circling around them, toothless roared for it to stop but no avail as the serpent circled faster and faster and creating a cyclone. The dragons did everything in their power to keep steady and was losing stamina but just when the dragons were about to give out, the cyclone disappeared along with the serpent. The riders were completely confused of what happened as they turned their head to every direction.
"Where in thor's name did it go?!" Snotlout shouted as hiccup and toothless turned to the others.
"OK, new plan. We search for the dragon so split up. due to its size, it probably hadn't gone-" hiccup said before being interrupted by a rattling roar and a large, grey mass sped pass them hiccup and the others turned to the mass as it turned round to reveal another new dragon but this one had a body shape similar to a monstrous nightmare and it had a fat neck with strange pellets dangling from it when it got closer, there were more pellets dangling from the tail (at this point you probably know what this is). It flew at the riders as the dragons tries to dodge but toothless was too slow as it knocked hiccup and the dragon out of the sky.
