"To a human it's just a useless thing. Now, unless you want to become a victim to my claws, be a good girl, and hand over the Shikon no Tama." Inuyasha told her.

"You want it you'll have to go through me first." I told him getting ready for a fight.

"Kagome, never hand that over." Kaede told her.

"I wont go easy on you." Inuyasha told me. "I especially won't for a woman who stinks like you!" he said attacking me. I jumped out of the way and across from the now gaping hole where I had once been.

"Wow. That's quite a hole there. You try and impress all the girls that way?" I asked him smirking. He grew angry and his glare deepened. I knelt on the ground, my palms lying flat on the ground he just destroyed.

"I'll cut you in half human!" he yelled at me and I smiled.

"I'm sure I've already said this but I'm not human." I reminded him. The earth beneath my hands began to cover my fists in a light layer and I rose up and prepared for his next attack.

"Heh! I can destroy the ground and you use it as a defense! How can you be so stupid?!" Inuyasha asked me, holding onto his arrogance.

"That was just dirt. This has my energy behind it." I told him and he attacked. I held my ground and he hit my defense but he also hit a tree that Kagome was next to. I quickly moved her out of the way, the rocks and dirt on my hands falling away, making us both fall over.

"Take this!" he said, jumping for the attack. Suddenly Kagome dropped the jewel and it started rolling away. As he started to drop to the ground I threw my hands up from the ground and the earth followed, creating a barrier between him and us.

"Kagome, speak the subduing word!" Kaede called to her. "Any word will do! Anything to quiet Inuyasha!"

"But even as you say that my mind's going blank!" Kagome told us.

"I'm going to be subdued?! Don't kid yourself!" Inuyasha yelled at her.

"You'll behave like a good little puppy and listen to your new master!" I teased him and he growled at me.

"OSUWARI!" Kagome called out and he fell on his face. I burst out laughing.

"Looks like you are a dog now, Inuyasha." I said through my laughter.

"Wow! He got quiet." the villagers said behind us.

"Wha... What the hell is this?!" Inuyasha asked trying to tear the necklace off of him.

"To struggle is useless, Inuyasha." Kaede told him walking up to us.

"Wha...? Go stuff it, Babaa!" Inuyasha said going to attack us again.

"Kagome." she said looking to my friend.

"Osuwari." she said and he fell to the ground again.

"Okay, all of you. Let's return to the village." Kaede said and we all gathered ourselves up and left.

Later we were all gathered in a hut Kaede gave to us, and when I say everyone I mean the entire village tried to come in with us. We had fought through the night so it was nice and bright outside.

"Let me see that wound." I said to Kagome. "I'll use some medicinal plants on it." Inuyasha laid on his side while Kagome lifted her shirt for me to see. "It has become something of a problem that the Shikon no Tama has resurfaced in this age." I explained to her. "Evil beings will come swarming after it.

"Like Youkai you mean?" Kagome asked me.

"Not just Youkai, but people with evil hearts as well." I told her and she gave me a curious look. "In this age of war, if they can get the Shikon no Tama and all of its spiritual power, they can achieve all of their desires." I explained. Kagome looked at the jewel in her hand before looking at Inuyasha.

"Why do you want the Shikon no Tama?" she asked him. "You're strong, even without the power of the jewel."

"It's because he's a Hanyou." I turned to see Kaede walking inside the hut. Inuyasha quickly turned and punched a hole in the ground.

"Babaa... you've been going on like that since earlier! Do you know me?" he asked her.

"You don't recognize me do you?" she asked him. "But that's not surprising. I'm the younger sister of Kikyou, the one who sealed you. I am Kaede."

"Kaede...?" he asked, as though he didn't understand.

"It has been 50 years since then, so I have aged as well." she explained to him.

"Hm... You're that brat, huh? Which means Kikyou is a total hag as well?" he asked sounding smug. "Being human sucks."

"Kikyou-onee-sama is dead." she told him and his smug look faded into sadness, only for a moment then it was gone. "It was the same day you were sealed."

"Hm. So that's what happened. Too bad for the fucking bitch, eh? Keh. That's a relief." he said laying back down with his back to us.

"Inuyasha, it's a bit too early to be relieved. Kagome, perhaps you are the reincarnation of Kikyou-onee-sama." Kaede told her. "It is not just your appearence or your magical powers. That you carried the Shikon no Tama in your body, that is the best proof. You must now protect the Shikon no Tama."

I walked around the village alone, thinking about all we'd learned from Kaede. Kagome was the reincarnation of a priestess who'd been dead for 50 years in this time. which means the person I'd been hoping to meet one day has been dead for 60 years at least. I sighed and sat in the grass close to the river and stared out across from it. I looked up to the tree on my right to see Inuyasha sitting in it, thinking to himself. I heard someone walk up behind me and I turned to see Kagome with bags full of food. She tossed something to Inuyasha and he caught it behind his back.

"That's your share." she told him and he turned to her.

"What's with the food?" he asked her.

"It's an offering from the villagers." she told him. "Say, come down and we can all eat it together." Kagome told him and he jumped down from his perch to sit next to her at the base of the tree. I stood and joined them talking some of the food.

"What are you planning, bitch?" Inuyasha asked her, glaring.

"Nothing much, it's just... You... you don't like me, do you?" Kagome asked him.

"You make me retch." he told her, anger in his voice.

"Now listen you, I'm Kagome. I'm not Kikyou." Kagome told him, waving her finger in his face. "So how about being a little friendly? Okay?"

"Keh! You idiot!" he yelled at her standing up. "Whoever you may be, I'll show no mercy when it comes to getting the Shikon no Tama!" he told her and I snorted in laughter.

"But if you ever do get violent I can just say Osuwari and..." his face slammed down onto the ground and I burst out laughing. "Ah I'm sorry. I didn't mean it, really." she told him waving her hands in between them.

The next day Kagome and I were walking in the forest back to the old well, hoping we'd be able to go home through it.

"The old well should get us back to your family's temple." I told her. I heard rustling in the bushes and turned to find her gone. "Kagome? What a time to wander on your own. Kagome!" Suddenly someone grabbed me from behind. They drug us through the woods to a large house.

"Girls?" I heard a man say as we were thrown into the house.

"Their girls..." another said and we were thrown onto the ground.

"We captured them just like you ordered, Okashira." one of the guys holding Kagome down said.

"Gehehe... these wenches are wearing some rally weird clothes." One of the men hold me said.

"Wait! What's with you guys?" Kagome yelled at them.

"Geh. Hah." the big guy said. Something was wrong with him I just couldn't place my finger on what it was. "The Jewel... The Jewel... Hand it over." he told us.
