Author's Note: Alright! We left off with Lenny in the hospital. Everybody is there, well almost everybody… You'll see...Everything seems perfect, but you didn't think I would end it there did you? So in this chapter Lenny'll be getting out of the hospital, he will be running into his old friends he had when he used to live in the " Love Boat" eight months ago. You'll recognize them from the talent show chapters, I think… But he will also run into some enemies… I'll stop right there! You're gonna have to read the rest to find out! I couldn't leave you clueless but I couldn't tell you everything!

Chapter 30: Hospital Leaves, Discussion, Fight, and First Time

Lino's POV

I watched my son and his girlfriend, Ronnie was it, nuzzle each other. It was adorable. I couldn't break them apart. I'm just so happy he had good friends and a home to live while he was gone for that long. Now we just had to figure out what to do with the sharkslayer and his friends…

Oscar's POV

Ronnie and Lenny were so cute together. I wish me and Ang would be able to look like that someday...Oh my god! I almost forgot about Ang and Rueben! I had to say something. Maybe with just Lenny and Don Lino in the room…

" Hey, uh… Lenny, Don Lino, can we talk? Just us three? Please?" I knew it was a long shot but I had to try and fix it… Lenny rolled his eyes. Don Lino looked very confused.

" Don't worry Oscar I think I can explain," Lenny said very sarcastically. I was so glad he wasn't able to get up right now.

" Wait!" I shouted. I wanted to be the one to do it. I wanted to be the one who fixed everything that I had started. Lenny looked furious that I had stopped him from telling his father the truth. " Could you guys please go outside for a minute?" I asked everyone.

" Of course Oscar." Ronnie knew I was trying to do the right thing. " Behave." She kissed Lenny on the cheek and pushed everyone out of the room. Lenny looked upset that she had left his side.

" What do you think you're doing buster, if it wasn't for Ronnie's sake and the fact that I can't leave this bed you would be shark bait." Lenny was pissed.

" I'm sorry to interupt you two from your argument , but could you please explain to me what's going on? And Lenny you will not put a fin out of line with him in the room." Don Lino was very serious about his only family member being slayed by me. Like I would be able to do a thing. Lenny could kill me in only a matter of seconds if it weren't for the fact that Ronnie was right outside that door and couldn't break her trust.

I was about to explain, but Lenny shot something back first. " Well, gee I'm sorry , but he couldn't touch me even if he tried." Don Lino was shocked.

" What on earth? Are you okay? You've never talked back to me before…" He looked shocked and upset that Lenny was angry with him.

" Yes, Pop, I'm fine. It's just… It's not you I'm mad at. It's him." He said the word like it was the worst thing on the planet.

" Oh, well what happened? Why are you so angry at him? You looked exactly like this the day you left…" Don Lino was curious to know how I had betrayed him.

I gulped. If I told the truth he would know I was just a puny little fish and probably try to kill me but that would okay. Lenny's knows too. He knows I could risk my life, but I also know that he doesn't care about me anymore. No one does, so does it really matter if I get killed.

" Go ahead Oscar. Tell us what you so rudely interupted me for. Tell us how you , not just betrayed me, but Angie and all your other fishy friends." Lenny knew I was nervous. He was pressuring me. What happened to the kind,sweet,sensitive, and gentle guy I knew. I guess I destroyed it…

Well, here goes nothing. " So, about the whole sharkslayer thing… I lied… I'm not really a sharkslayer. I'm just a stupid, puny, little fish who had no idea what he was getting himself into. I got Lenny kicked out of his house and pretty much ruined him. He is no longer the Lenny I knew eight months ago in that storage room. I miss him, but I don't think he'll come back. I'm so sorry for what I did to you…" At this point I had tears running down my face. Lenny looked shocked, like he was about to cry too. Don Lino was almost bursting with fury, but I kept going.

" I didn't mean to ruin your life more than it already was. You could've died, but I just kept flowing along thinking you would be fine. But looked what you turned into. I've made you the one thing you hate most, a cold-blooded killer." That seemed to make Lenny snap. He didn't look angry anymore. " Now, before either one of you tears me to shreds, I would like to apoligize to Ang and Reuben." I made a sincere smile and waited. For something anything to happen.

Lenny's POV

I couldn't believe he had done it. Right in front of my father too. He looked like he was about to burst. He's risking his life right now to tell the truth. A tear fell from my face. Everyone had started to slowly come back into the room. Oscar had missed me so much. I think I melted. I sat up and tried my best to get to Oscar and Ronnie gave me a bit of help. I had to get to him first before my father did. He would tear him apart. I grabbed Oscar and gave him a noogie. I tried to be as gentle as possible. Much more gentle than the last time. Oscar was enjoying it. I could tell. I smiled. I might stay like this but I think I can forgive him for his mistake. Ronnie rubbed my shoulder.

My father looked quite confused. " I can forgive you now… Pop?"

" Yes, Lenny?" He was still furious at the fact that Oscar had made all this happen.

" Could we let his and my friends go? I mean there is no reason for them to be here anymore right? Oscar won't hurt anybody. Please?" I knew he couldn't say no to me now. I made those puppy dogs eyes I used to make when I was seven years old. I would always ask him for treats. Such good old days…

He sighed. " Sure I don't see why not," I smirked. " But if you're not a sharkslayer then how?" I knew exactly what he was talking about.

" It was an anchor. He wasn't looking where he was swimming and it hit him…" I sighed. I hated that memory. I hated the fact that this "incident" , it started the whole thing. I didn't like to think about it too much, it was depressing.

" So that's why you got so upset. You saw the whole thing, if you don't mind me asking." Ronnie was curious I could tell. I couldn't help but smile.

" Yeah. I was there. I saw everything happen. I watched him die. There was nothing I could do. I knew he only had seconds left. I didn't know what to do because I thought, I thought Pop would blame me for it. And then I heard those words and I left. I decided it was best I stay out of his life. I had already ruined it so much." I had a frown on my face.

He swam up to me and gave me another hug. He pulled back and looked me in the eyes. " I couldn't be more proud of you than I am right now." I've always wanted to hear those words.

" You have no idea how long I've waited for you to say those words…"

" Well, I'm sorry it took me so long to say it." He smiled sheepishly.

" So, let's go set our friends free."

I swam out of the hospital room into Pop's office. I knew where he kept his bait. Everyone followed behind me. Ronnie and Oscar at my sides. Oscar was actually comfortable enough to sit on my shoulder. I didn't mind. I pushed open the door and swam inside. I hadn't meant to walk in on a card game though.

" What did I tell you boys about playing cards in my office?"

" Sorry sir,we'll clean up." I recognized that voice.

" Cody?"

" Lenny?" Everyone had finally noticed I was in the room. Including the two fish in the tank. " Oh my god! You have no idea how much we missed you!" Everyone rushed to hug me, well everyone except Tony, and Angie and the other fish that was inside the piranha tank.

" Hey guys! I missed you too! And I can see Tony is as cheerful as ever." I smirked. I wasn't scared of him anymore. " Alright, excuse me, I have some rescuing to do." I swam towards the tank, but Tony darted in front of it.

" You're gonna have to get through me first." Tony replied.

" Tony you better remove your behind away from that tank." Pop almost shouted at him.

I put my fin up. " Wait, Pop. I got this." Everyone swam back a bit. Oscar swam off my shoulder patiently waiting for Angie and Reuben to be freed from the cage.

I got closer to Tony. " Now, I suggest you move yourself away from the tank or I'm do something I've been wanting to do for quite some time. For a whole seven years in fact."

" Oh, I'm so scared of you. Please. Like you would ever be able to touch me." He said very sarcastically. Tony was a big guy, but if I could take Markie, Lamont, and that other big guy, I could take him too. Might get a bruise or two in the process, but he would have taken much more damage when I was done with him.

" Okay then." I swam away tricking into thinking I gave up. He was about to turn around when I darted back and gave him sucker punch to the face. Tony dropped to the ground and held his jaw. " Told ya." I smirked. " Now scooch unless you want another." Tony immediately got out of my way.

I turned around and everyone, but Ronnie, Andre, and Jamel had their jaw dropped. "What? I warned him first." I opened the lid of the tank and Angie and Reuben flew out. Angie gave me a hug and Reuben waited patiently.

" I've missed you so much. How have you been lately?" Angie inquired.

" Well, I've been pretty good. Been through a lot but I'll explain it all later. Who's your friend?" I was curious to know his name. Oscar swam up next to me and waved.

" Hey, Ang. Hey Reuben." So that was his name. Nice.

Angie waved, but Reuben turned his back on Oscar.

" He told the truth you know. That's why my father is letting you go." I said. I was trying to help Oscar out.

" He did?" Reuben looked shocked.

" I knew you would come to your senses and do the right thing." Angie swam up and gave Oscar a hug.

" Thanks Ang."

" Anytime."

" So first of all, Reuben, this is Lenny. He is not Angie's boyfriend." I burst out laughing.

" I'm sorry. It's just Angie and I are friends. I wouldn't date her anyway. No offense."

" None taken" Angie replied smiling. It was great to be chatting away with my old friends. We had a lot of catching up to do.

" Okay." Oscar chuckled. " Second of all could you guys forgive me for my mistake?"

" I may not forgive right away, but I will work on it." Reuben answered. Angie nodded as if to say the same. Everything seemed great.

" Hey, Ronnie come here." Ronnie looked nervous. I had just put all the attention on her. She swam forward and came to my side. " Everyone, this is Ronnie. From now on she will be living with us." Everyone cheered for her. She smiled and then turned to look at me.

" You didn't have to do that. I have a house back home. Ricky will miss me." she whispered.

" Yeah I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to. And I couldn't just leave behind in that old house by yourself. Now you can be with everyone. And there's fish in the city." I thought that would catch her on the hook. " Also I thought Ricky was going back to his job. You said you rarely saw him anyway. He could always visit. And you could always go back to the other coty to see everyone, I don't mind." She smiled. Everyone was just watching. It was dead silent, except for us talking to each other.

" You know me so well. Of course I'll stay with you! I was joking!" She grabbed my face and looked me in the eyes and then at my lips as if to ask if it was okay to kiss if front if my father ad everyone else. I nodded. We kissed. Longer than publicly polite. Oops.

I felt someone tap my shoulder. It was Oscar. He looked worried again. Oscar is always worried. What else had he done when I was gone? A lot could've happened in that timeline.

" Lenny, umm… About that... Since technically you would be the next don could you do something about that?" Oscar asked me politely. I was a bit confused. Everyone just stared at him.

" Okay, Oscar, first of all, Pop went out of business the day I left. Second of all, what on earth are you talking about?" Everyone was nodding there heads, as if to agree with me.

" He did? I had no idea...I'm sorry."

" Don't feel bad, it's okay. It's happens. It wasn't your fault. Well, I mean it kinda was but, I'll just leave it at that."

" Okay...So skip that. I'm talking about you guys going into the city and hunting us down. Could you, you know, not do that specifically?" Oscar was asking us sharks to not eat. That's the ridiculous thing I've ever heard him say. Ever.

" Oscar, I'm gonna say this slowly so you understand. You realize, that if we don't eat fish, one our species with become extinct, two your species will become overpopulated, and three what else would we do ally day?"

" Lenny listen, It's gonna be really weird being friends with you guys if you're gonna eat our friends."

" True that would be weird. I would feel the same way. Hmm… Let me think about this." Well, we do always have meat in the kitchen already cooked and ready just in case. It's from the animals that die. We could always just eat that. That way we could be friends with the fish and still eat meat. Bam!

I explained my plan to everyone and the fish seemed to be okay with it. The sharks on the other hand just stared. Except Ronnie, she didn't seem to mind.

" I don't know, Len. Are you sure? I mean no more hunting? I have no problem with it, but the rest of the mafia might." Pop was serious about this, I could tell by his expression. His forehead was wrinkled, his eyes staring, his mouth a line of pure petulance, his arms crossed and then moved behind his back.

" I'm sure, Pop. I mean they've gone this long. Why have to bother to continue anyway? I've never really learned. I always just cooked at Ronnie's house or ordered at the bar." I replied precisely.

" Alright then. Let's go make some announcements! Everyone needs to know you're back home and with a girl…" Pop elbowed me and raised his eyebrows.

" Pop… Don't embarrass me in front of her…" I was defiant of her ever leaving me again and Pop better never be the cause of it. I could NEVER forgive him if that happens. Even if she comes back.

Everyone followed Pop through the halls and toward the dining room. Surely everyone would obviously be in there. We stopped at the doors. " Okay Lenny. I want to announce a surprise and that's when you'll come out. You can tell everyone about Ronnie and your friends and then I'll continue to tell them about the no hunting thing and all that."

" Alright got it." I whispered.

" Everyone else good?" he whispered.

" Got it!" they tried to be quiet.

Pop swam through the doors and into the middle of the room. We were all watching through the small circle windows on the doors. He clapped his fins together and immediately got everyone's attention. " Everyone! I've got a surprise for you all that I'm sure you'll love!" Pop stared at the door waiting for me to swim out.

I was nervous. What if they didn't want me back? What if they didn't like me? What if they kicked me out? " Lenny...: Leeenny. Lenny!" Ronnie apparently had been shouting at me. Though no one had heard. It had only been a second. " Lenny you froze. Are you alright?" Ronnie asked me.

" Yeah...Yeah, I'm alright. Just a little nervous and scared, that's all." I said.

" It's okay. They missed you! You'll be fine! Now go." Ronnie murmured at me and pushed me forward a bit.

I swam forward and pushed the doors open. I swam towards Pop and smiled sheepishly and waved. Everyone was silent.

" It's been forever!" Someone shouted.

" We haven't seen you in ages!" Another said. Then everyone started laughing and shouting out comments to me.

" We haven't seen you in such a long time!"

" How long has it's been since we last saw you?" I know they knew the answer. It's as if they had been counting down the days since I left, waiting for me to arrive back home.

" When was the last time we talked?" I had no idea everyone had missed me this much.

Most of the sharks got out of their seats swam up to me to give me a big hug. Everyone took turns. Some just smiled and swam off. After everyone was off to their seats I started to talk pleasantly. " I'm very happy to see you all again! I have been thinking about everyone since the day I left! You have no idea how much this means to me! Alright! Now I have a surprise for you all! Hey guys, come on out!"

All teh sharks stared at the door waiting for a few sharks to come through. They were surprised by the fish when they saw them though. Ronnie swam to my side and held my hand. Everyone gasped. I smiled. Oscar, Angie and Reuben swam over next to Pop. Andre,Jamel, and the rest of teh boys swam to my other side, but about three feet away. " Where's Ricky?" I whispered.

Ronnie frowned. I hadn't meant to make her upset. " He had to leave for his job. I won't see him for another seven months." Ronnie looked like she was on the verge of tears. " He left when you came out."

" Ronnie I'm sorry for bringing it up."

" It's not your fault. You were just curious." SHe sniffled and pulled herself together.

" Everyone this is Ronnie. She'll be living here from now one." Everyone cheered. I didn't have to explain our relationship. They seemed to already know. " This is Andre and Jamel. They are my best friends from another city not to far from here. They are just visiting, unless of course you wanna stay?" I had to offer. It would be rude to offer Ronnie and not the guys too.

" Sorry Len. I can't. I have my job back home. I'll definetely visit though!" Andre spoke.

" Same here." Jamel replied back.

" Alright. Now those fish are Oscar, who you know as the sharkslayer. He is not. He lied and yes I was part of it, but that's okay because everything is getting fixed." Everyone gasped and started whispering about Oscar I presume. I continued to speak. " Angie and Reuben are also here. They are my friends and can also be yours. So it's not akward we are no longer going to hunt. We will just order from the restaurant." Everyone seemed to be fine with it. No one objected. Easier than I thought it would be. " Okay. That's it for now. Everyone went back to they're normal talking and eating at their tables.

I was only ten in the morning. I wasn't hungry. I hadn't eaten in two days but I didn't feel starved. I decided Ronnie and I could use some time to our selves. (get it) " Hey Ronnie?"

" Yes , Lenny?" I had a feeling she knew what I was about to ask her. Like she had been waiting for it for her whole life.

" Well, we've know each other for some time now and already gone through quite a bit of challenges, but we trust each other. Do you wanna maybe go to my room? I could show you some things." I was nervous and she could see right through me. I was holding her fins and looking at them while rubbing them.

" Sure. I love to." She smiled. She does this frequently when I hold her fins. It's like my touch makes her smile.

" Follow me." I begin swimming away to my room when Pop calls.

" Hey, Lenny where are you going?" he nearly shouts across the room. Ugh. Does everyone have to know what we're about to go do. I turn hot pink.

" Just giving Ronnie a tour. I'll be back in about an hour!" or whenever I get done…

I stop at my door and open it. My room is quite small. I had a four drawer dresser for my schoolwork. I had a few pictures up on the wall. A picture of Mom, Pop, smiling. Frankie who was three at the time was holding Pop's hand. I was just born a month ago and Mom was holding me, I was holding her fin. I was smiling , but my eyes were closes. The next one only had Pop in it. He didn't look too happy. Frankie was six now and I was almost four. Frankie frowned at the camera behind Pop and I held Pop's hand smiling. I was happy back then because I didn't understand. " Why isn't your mother in the other two pictures?"

" My mom died when I was four. She looked just like me. I don't remember her too much though…"

" Oh. I'm sorry baby. What happened to her?" She was curious but also trying not to hurt my feelings at the same time.

" It's okay. She got a heart disease after I was born. She passed away after fighting it for four years. I always felt like it was my fault but it actually had nothing to do with me."

The last picture had Pop who looked angry and Frankie who was 12, just looked bored to be honest. I had a smaller smile on my face then the last time. I was 10 years old. That year everything changed. Pop had began to train us for being the next Dons but I refused.

" You were so adorable when you were a kid." Ronnie squealed.

" Why thank you." I began to tickle Ronnie.

" Stop it!" She laughed. I let her go. I had a small table with a book on it. " The Hunger Games." I was always quite interested in how Kairi and Pacific beat the system. It's quite good, I've read it four times. Probably gonna make it five soon. Then the last thing in my room. My bed. It had a small light above it for reading, a couple pillows and a blue blanket.

I realized I had forgotten to lock the door. I swam over and locked the door and swam back to Ronnie and sat down. I was nervous. She seemed...quite calm about it. " I'm not really sure how to start this… I'm actually really nervous. I don't want to mess up or anything." I began spiraling.

Ronnie grabbed my shoulder. " It'll be okay. Is this your first time?"

" Yes." I said shyly. She rubbed my shoulder and kissed my cheek.

" Don't worry, it's my first time too. We just have to roll with the punches." She smiled.

" Okay then." I sighed. I wasn't sure how to start this and I wasn't sure I knew exactly how. I mean, I know but… Do i really?

Ronnie probably saw my spiraling and grabbed my fin. " Is that me shaking or you?" she asked jokingly.

" Probably a little bit of both. I'm just not sure how to start this…" I said shakily.

Ronnie put her fin up to my face and pushed it towards her. She crushed her lips against mine and a sudden electricity went through my entire body. We continued making out and I pulled her under the covers with me on top and we disappeared into the sheets of bliss.

Author's Note: So, what did you think? Bet you weren't expecting that scene huh? But aren't you glad that everyone is finally happy? I'm think that this story is far from over. I'm gonna focus on Lenny and Ronnie for a while and then we'll focus in on the love triangle with Oscar, Angie, and Reuben…
