AN: Hello fellow readers! Yes I know I been gone awhile. Merry Christmas! Happy New Years! Also I know you read the title and you're probably wondering why this is the final chapter because so much has been happening, but don't you worry. If you keep on reading you'll find out!

Chapter 37: The Final Chapter

Ronnie's POV

He just wasn't there. Where on earth could he have gone?It was early morning, about 7. I glanced at Oscar. He was peacefully asleep, unbeknownst to him that when he woke up, there be a lot of pain for him. Poor Oscar. I hoped that he wouldn't wake just yet, until I came back with Lenny.

I left the room, looked up and down the halls, but he didn't seem to be nearby. I checked all the bathrooms, (all gender neutral), the kitchen, and our bedroom. He was nowhere. The dining room was beginning to fill up because some sharks were now awake and getting for work. I decided to ask one of the waiters if he knew where Lenny was. Maybe he was eating, or on a very important phone call. I'd have to ask Luca next.

I swam right up to Zach, one of our best waiters. " Hello, Miss Ronnie. Would you like a table?" he asked

" No thanks, but I was wondering if you knew where Lenny was?" I questioned.

" Well, not that I know of. Last I heard was that there was some important thing he had to be getting to." he answered.

" Thank you, Zach."

And with that I was back on my search. At least now I had a place of where he might be. And bonus was that I didn't have to ask Luca about it. He tends to ramble on about random things sometimes, and gets off topic. It's fine. I chuckled nervously.

When I finally got to his office, I knocked on the door, expecting an answer. Silence. " Lenny? Are you in there?" I tried opening the door, but it was locked. What was going on?

Suddenly, there was some rustling going on, it sounded like there was more than one shark in there. " Lenny are you okay? Please let me in!" I begged.

Then I heard a voice I knew all too well, " Let her in."

I heard a click and before the shark behind the door could open it all the way I burst through. " Let him go!" I screamed.

There was Carlotta, holding Lenny captive. With nothing but a guard, which Lenny could take down in seconds, so why wasn't he? I tried to charge at her, maybe get them distracted, but I forgot about the other shark behind me. He grabbed my fins and held me back.

" Please don't struggle," he whispered, " I don't want to hurt you."

I held still after, but I was still going to be suspicious of the gentle shark. They were always the most dangerous.

" What's going on? Let him go! Let me go!" I tugged at my fins, trying to break free, but it was no use. He was definitely stronger than me.

" Well, you see, Ronnie, was it? I'm going to take your little hubby and bring him home with me for awhile. It'll be like a business trip! Once you agree to let him come with me, then we'll let you go." Carlotta explained.

" What! Absolutely not! Let me go right now! I can take you! Lenny isn't going anywhere with you!" I shouted angrily.

" Ooo temper. Well, I guess we'll have to stay here until you agree or I could just…" She grabbed her knife and put against his neck. He didn't even flinch. Why wasn't he fighting?

" No! Don't!" I began to struggle to the point where it took a lot of energy out of me. I was out of breath when I finally stopped.

" Stop! You're gonna hurt her! Please, just let me talk to her." Lenny looked at Carlotta pleading in agony.

" Fine. Go. Convince her and then we'll be on our merry way." Carlotta said strictly.

I watched, still heavily breathing, as Lenny swam up to me. " Lenny … what's going … on? Why … Aren't … you … fighting them?" I gasped.

" Ronnie, I have to go with them. I-I can't risk losing you or our daughter." He looked like he was close to tears. So he was serious. He was actually going to go with her. That's why he wasn't fighting. She would hurt me and the baby.

" But Lenny, what if - what if you don't come back? Then I'll lose you." I began to cry, which instantly made him start tearing up.

"Listen, I'll firgure it out, I promise. I'll come back." He said teary eyed.

I sighed sadly. " Okay." I cried.

Lenny swam back over to Carlotta and I watched as she grabbed his fin and dragged him to the door that lead them outside. He looked so uncomfortable touching her.

"Tex! Let's go!" Carlotta called. He immediately let go of me and quickly swam to Carlotta.

Just before they were out the door, I said, " I love you." Quiet enough that he probably didn't hear it. I swam towards the door and watched as they swam away. As they turned into small dots in the ocean, I realized I may have just lost everything forever….

AN: So what'd you think? I know sad ending… :( I'm sure the majority of the people who read this will definitely be angry with me, but it'll work out I promise. ;)
