Hypocritic
Bobbie and Lucas pointed out some uncomfortable truths to Carly. Don't own GH or its characters.
"I just really miss him, Mom. I know he made some horrible mistakes, one of them was listening to Julian, but he's my husband and I love him," Lucas said as he and Bobbie ate lunch at the MetroCourt.
"Well, honey, only you can decide whether you should take Brad back or not. But I would definitely require counseling. I–" Bobbie was interrupted by a disbelieving tone.
"You can't be serious! How can you be considering taking Brad back after what he did to Michael?" Carly asked, incredulously.
Lucas knew he made a mistake agreeing to meet his mom at his sister's hotel.
"Carly, that's Lucas' choice and none of your business," Bobbie warned.
"I'm not taking Sonny back, after the stuff in Nixon Falls with Nina. How can you even consider taking Bra-?"
Lucas cut his sister off.
"Sure you will. Just like when he cheated on you with Alexis and later Sam. Or when his crazy ex-wife, Claudia kidnapped Jossalyn, which meant Michael had to shoot her. It ultimately got Michael raped in jail. Not to mention when Michael got shot in the head because of Sonny protecting Kate, his girlfriend for three minutes. Or when his involvement with Ava got A.J. killed. But him not coming back immediately when his memory returned and getting involved with Nina, that's the cardinal sin? At least Brad paid for his crimes and yes, I know, Sonny went to jail after killing A.J. but he showed no remorse for the actual crime. Yes, he did it in defense of Ava but to turn around and then put a hit on Ava? It makes Brad look like a saint. I can't believe you're judging me for trying to figure my marriage out. Mom, I'll call you later," Lucas threw his napkin down in disgust.
"Thanks for defending me , Mom," Carly said, sarcastically.
Bobbie looked thoughtfully.
"Well, honey, you and Sonny have damaged a lot of people's lives over the years."
"If you bring up A.J., might I remind you he made us think Michael dead?" Carly said.
"Mmm-mmm. I wasn't going to say A.J. I was thinking about Alan and the rest of the Quartermaines. I know he has a relationship with them now and I know he's grateful for getting to know Edward before he died. But you caused them to miss years of Michael's life. It was only when it was convenient for you, you let Michael move in with them. Honey, what Brad did was horrible but you and Sonny have no room to cast stones," Bobbie said.
"It's not the same," Carly protested.
"I'm not sure that Michael realized how hurt Monica was when he announced Wiley's name," Bobbie said.
"He has Quartermaine as a middle name, just like Michael has Alan as his. The Quartermaines are represented!"
"Do you realize that except for Edward, the mob was involved with every death that the Quartermaines have suffered for the last fifteen years?" Bobbie pointed out.
Carly thought about that, finally saying,
"That can't be true. Alan died because Alcazar didn't deal with Jerry Jacks. And Diego killed Emily. Sonny didn't have anything to do with that."
"Sonny attracts mobsters to Port Charles. Maybe if he stopped his shipments, people would stop dying! What does he ship anyway?"
Carly pursed her lips. "I never asked. I just assumed I would want plausible deniability when questions arise."
"And you're judging your brother for considering reuniting with his husband, whose only crime is kidnapping a little boy he loved and thought he would be protecting from Sonny. Yes, it was but apparently well deserved since Michael made you and Sonny Wiley's godparents. Lucas wasn't even considered, " Bobbie said.
"Okay, okay. You made your point! What can I do to support Lucas like a good sister?" Carly asked.
"Just keep your mouth shut and let Lucas figure this out for himself. I know it's hard for you but that's what Lucas needs you to do," Bobbie said.
"Fine. I don't like it but fine."
"That's all I ask," Bobbie said, finishing the conversation.
