Alastor: 4000 LP
Professor: 4000 LP
Professor: So this is your other self.
Alastor: Battle.
Professor: Not so fast, I play my Gestalt Trap, which will reduce your monster's attack and defense to 0 and prevent you from using his special ability.
A clamp shot out and wrapped itself around Galactic Ruler's arms, trapping him in place.
Alastor: I place a card face-down. Next, due to Prodigy's effect, since I tributed him to summon a HERO monster, I can draw 1 card at the end of my turn.
Professor: Since you did not play the card revealed by Light to the Depths, you now receive 2000 points of damage.
Alastor: 2000 LP
Professor: My turn, I draw. And I play the equip spell Immortal Homeostasis on your monster. With this, he cannot be destroyed in battle, but during each of your standby phases, you will take 300 points of damage if his attack points are different from their original value. Now I sacrifice my monster to summon Ido the Supreme Magical Force.
Level 6/Dark/Fiend
ATK 2200/DEF 800
Professor: And now Ido, attack his monster.
MC: If this attack succeeds, Alex will lose!
Alastor: I play the trap Power Wall, so for every card I send from the top of my deck to the graveyard, 100 points of damage from this battle is cancelled. I send 22 cards to the grave to make the damage 0.
He now had 5 cards left in his deck.
Professor: My, quite risky, sending so many cards to the graveyard to avoid some damage. I end my turn.
Alastor: My move.
Alastor's Deck: 4 cards
Professor: And due to the effect of my Immortal Homeostasis, you lose 300 life points.
Alastor: 1700 LP
Alastor: I play the spell Dark Fusion. I merge Evil HERO Voltage and Evil HERO Stone Guardian in order to summon Evil HERO Lightning Golem.
Level 6/Light/Fiend
ATK 2400/DEF 1500
Alastor: And now I activate Lightning Golem's effect. Once each turn, he can destroy any monster in play. Destroy Ido with Voltic Ball!
Lightning Golem launched a sphere of black electricity at Ido, destroying it.
Alastor: And now that your monster is gone, I can attack you directly. Lightning Golem, attack with Dark Lightning!
Professor: I play the Rainbow Life trap card. By sending one card in my hand to the graveyard, instead of taking damage this turn, I gain life points equal to the damage I would receive.
Professor: 6400 LP
MC: In a shocking twist, the professor has increased his life points to 6400! Has Alex finally met his match?
Alastor: I place 1 card face-down and end my turn.
Professor: But now the effect of my monster activates. At the end of the turn Ido the Supreme Magical Force is destroyed, it revives itself.
Meanwhile, Yusei was still watching in the waiting room.
Yusei: What did he do to Alex? I've gotta help him.
Professor: My turn, I draw. And now Ido, attack his Galactic Ruler.
Alastor: I play the trap Altar for Tribute, so by sacrificing my monster, I gain life points equal to his original attack points. You've served your purpose, now vanish.
Galactic Ruler dissolved into particles of light which flew to him, restoring his life points.
Alastor: 4200 LP
MC: Alex has raised his life points greatly, but with Ido's effect to revive itself, he'll have his work cut out for him if he wants to win this duel.
Professor: From my hand, I play the equip spell Axe of Fools onto your Lightning Golem. This will give him 1000 more attack points, but will disable his special ability. I end my turn.
Alastor: My turn, I draw.
Alastor's deck: 3 cards
That's when Yusei made it to the duel field.
Yusei: Alex!
Alastor: Stop calling me that. I am not the same boy you knew. For years I have been locked away in Alex's subconscious mind. But now that I'm free, I intend to have some fun, so stay out of my way. This is your only warning.
Yusei: What do you mean you've been locked away in Alex's subconscious?
Alastor: While I'd love nothing more than to tell you how I came to be, I'm a little busy at the moment, so if you really want to know, go ask the boy's father. Now, where were we? Oh, that's right, it was my turn. I play the spell H-Heated Heart on my Lightning Golem. For this turn, he gains 500 attack points.
Lightning Golem: 3400-3900 ATK
Alastor: Now attack Ido with Dark Lightning!
Lightning Golem struck Ido, and his lightning passed through the monster, striking the professor, sending him flying.
MC: What's this? That attack was real, does Alex possess the same powers as Akiza?
The crowd started speaking among themselves, shocked there were 2 people in the tournament that could bring duel monsters to life.
Professor: 4700 LP
Alastor: I end my turn.
Professor: And now Ido is revived. I draw, and due to Axe of Fools, you take 500 points of damage.
Alastor: 3700 LP
Professor: I play the spell card Messenger of Peace, now monsters that have 1500 or more attack points cannot attack. I end my turn.
Alastor: My move, I draw.
Alastor's Deck: 2 cards
Alastor: I play Pot of Greed, so now I draw 2 cards.
Professor: But now you lose on your very next turn.
Alastor: Unless I defeat you this turn. I play the spell card Mystical Space Typhoon in order to destroy your Messenger of Peace. And now I play the spell Share the Pain. Now we must both sacrifice a monster we control.
Professor: But I only have one monster.
Alastor: Exactly, so you must send Ido to the graveyard. However, since Lightning Golem is the only monster I have, he's sent to the graveyard as well.
Professor: But now you have nothing left to attack me with.
Alastor: Not for long. I play the spell Dark Calling, and with it, I banish Evil HERO Galactic Ruler and Evil HERO Lightning Golem from my graveyard in order to summon my most powerful servant. Bear witness as the greatest hero descends into the eternal darkness and arises as a new evil. Fill galaxies with your power, Evil HERO Neos!
Level 7/Dark/Fiend
ATK 2500/ DEF 2000
Professor: But that monster only has 2500 attack points, so even if he attacks, I'll still have life points.
Alastor: Not once his special ability kicks in. Evil HERO Neos gains 300 attack points for every Evil HERO monster in my graveyard, and with 19 Evil Heroes in my grave, he gains 5,700 attack points, giving him a total of-
Evil HERO Neos: 2500-8200 ATK
Professor: It has 8200 attack points?!
Alastor: And now I play the Pump Up spell card. This will double the attack of a monster on the field. So Evil HERO Neos' attack points are doubled.
Evil HERO Neos: 8200-16400 ATK
Alastor: And now I activate the effect of Blade Graveyard. By banishing it from my graveyard, one card from either of our graveyards is added to my hand, and I choose Pump Up, which I'll use again.
Evil HERO Neos: 16400-32800 ATK
Alastor: And since I have another Blade Graveyard in my graveyard, I think I'll use Pump Up again.
Evil HERO Neos: 32800-65600 ATK
Alastor: And why not do it again? I banish the third Blade Graveyard in order to use Pump Up a fourth time.
Evil HERO Neos: 65600-131200 ATK
MC: Incredible, Evil HERO Neos' attack points have surpassed 100,000! Alex has pulled out all the stops to make his monster as powerful as possible!
Tanner: I've never seen so many attack points on a single monster.
Luna: That's not Alex dueling.
Leo: What do you mean Luna?
Luna: Alex would never go so overboard like this. He's not acting like himself.
Alastor: Now my monster, attack with Dark Cosmic Blast!
Neos rose up in the air and charged a ball of energy in his hands that looked like a contained black hole and threw it at the Professor, but as it was flying through the air, it kept growing in size, until it was as big as a wrecking ball. When it made contact, it exploded into a mushroom cloud of black energy. The professor could be heard screaming in agony. Meanwhile, Alastor was laughing like a madman, loving the suffering the Professor was enduring.
Professor: 0 LP
Winner: Alastor
The side of the arena where the attack landed was smashed into rubble, with the Professor laying among the debris.
MC: And the duel is over. Alex is the winner.
Everyone in the arena had gone silent, in shock and terror of what they just witnessed.
Alastor: Let this duel serve as a warning to my opponents. Anyone who duels me shall fall, even the great Jack Atlas shall lose by my hand.
MC: I don't believe it, Alex has just declared that he will win the tournament and defeat Jack Atlas! Can anyone stop this dueling prodigy?
Alastor walked past Yusei, who put his hand on the boy's shoulder.
Yudri: Alex you need to snap out of it.
Alastor smacked his hand away.
Alastor: I told you to stop calling me that. The boy you knew as Alex is gone, and while he may have been your friend, you are nothing but an opponent to me. That said, I do hope that if and when we duel, you give me a proper challenge.
Yusei: What happened to you Alex?
He went off to find Jaden to get some answers. He didn't have to go far, as he soon encountered Jaden.
Jaden: Have you seen Alex?
Yusei: Yes, but he's saying that he's not Alex, but some alternate personality, what happened to him?
Jaden: It's a long story, so I suggest you sit down.
The tournament was on hold so that the arena could be repaired. While the repairs were being made, Goodwin and Jack looked down at the field and analyzed what they just witnessed.
Jack: So, now that you've seen the boy's true power, what happens now Goodwin?
Goodwin: Now, we see if the boy can defeat the signers or not. I may have gotten more than I bargained for. Hopefully Yusei, Akiza, or Jack can defeat him. Hopefully that will bring his dominant personality back. Lazar, see if you can get him to come here and speak to me.
Lazar: Yes sir.
Hey guys. Been a while since I updated. I've been busy with work around the house lately. To make up for it, and because it's Christmas Eve, I'm gonna upload a few chapters. Well, looks like Alastor won the duel. And by the way, this is the biggest overkill you all are gonna see for a while, and most likely the whole series. I just wanted Alastor's first duel to end with as big a bang as possible. Also, I hated the Professor, so that definitely had a hand in it. Hope you all enjoyed the duel, and I'll see you in the next chapter.
