Alex and Yusei dismounted their duel runners and turned to face the man Yusei had called Crow.

Crow: You've got some explaining to do pal, so start talkin'.

Alex got ready for in case a fight was about to start. Crow started walking up to them with his fist drawn back.

Yusei: First things first.

Crow: You asked for it.

Alex was ready to fight Crow off, but was surprised when he and Yusei's hands met in high five before they both fist bumped each other.

Crow: Hey Yusei.

Yusei: Good to see you Crow.

Crow: Sorry if I scared ya kid. Yusei and I are old friends.

Alex breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that Crow didn't plan on hurting them.

Yusei: Crow, this is Alex. He's a good friend and a great duelist.

Crow: Well, if Yusei says you're a great duelist then you've gotta be good.

Alex: Thanks, it's nice to meet you.

Yusei: He's better than good Crow, he's even beaten me before, and he would've beaten me in the Fortune Cup if he hadn't surrendered the duel so I could face Jack.

Crow: You serious?

Yusei: Absolutely.

Crow: Well, you really are something kid. That's a nice duel runner.

Alex: Thanks.

Yusei: Speaking of, I see you've built your own.

Crow: Yeah, finished her last year. She's a beauty right? What do you say we hit the streets?

Yusei: Sure.

Crow: Make sure to stick with us Alex, otherwise you might get lost.

Alex: Right.

A few minutes later, the three of them were driving down the street side by side. Crow turned to Yusei and started speaking to him.

Crow: So you're some kind of big shot champion now?

Yusei: Something like that.

Alex: Hey, don't forget if it wasn't for me you wouldn't have that title Yusei.

They all three had a good laugh from that one. Soon, they were sitting on top of a broken section of the street that was angled into the air.

Crow: So Goodwin captured your friends and forced you to duel in that tournament?

Yusei: Yeah, but now I need to make sure they're safe.

Crow: Well then, let's head over to your old hideout.

Alex took note of the empty streets and thought it was strange.

Alex: Hey Crow, has anything weird been going on around here lately?

Crow: It's funny you should ask, these creepy guys have been coming around lately. There's one of them right down there.

He pointed down to the street where a man in a cloak was walking with a group of people following behind him.

Crow: They spout these wacky teachings, trying to round up followers. I hear they're gathering everyone deep in the Satellite.

Yusei: Wait, you mean underground?

Crow: Things have gotten crazy around here Yusei.

Alex and Yusei turned to each other and gave a silent nod, knowing they'd have to look into this. A few minutes later, Alex, Yusei, and Crow were driving through the abandoned subway tunnels, headed to Yusei's hideout. They pulled up in front of the place and Yusei's friends greeted him.

Yusei: Thanks for helping my friends Blister.

Blister: Don't mention it.

That's when Alex and Crow walked up.

Crow: Is this a private club or can anyone join?

Yusei's friends welcomed him and commented they didn't recognize him with the helmet and runner.

Crow: Yeah, Yusei's not the only turbo charged runner in Satellite anymore, right?

Rally: Who's the kid?

Yusei: This is Alex. He's a good friend of mine. He actually surrendered his duel with me in the Fortune Cup so I could duel Jack.

Alex: Hi.

Before they could welcome him, a voice on a megaphone interrupted them.

?: This is Sector Security. ID Number AWX74098, give yourself up!

Crow scratched at the criminal mark on his face.

Crow: Yusei's not the only one with a knack for ticking off Sector Security.

Sector Security then threw a smoke grenade down the crack in the street.

Crow: We need to split up. Alex, you go with Yusei's friends and meet us at the Daedalus Bridge in 2 hours. Yusei and I will lead Sector Security away.

Alex: Alright, be careful guys.

Security 1: Come out Crow, don't make this difficult. You can't escape this time.

Crow then burst out of the subway exit on his duel runner and drove off.

Security 1: There he goes! You won't be able to hide from our new pursuit bot Crow!

A drone was launched from their truck before it began chasing Crow.

Crow: Wow, so you've got some new toys?

He proceeded to make many twists and turns, but he couldn't lose the drone.

Crow: Man, this thing is gonna be tough to shake.

Yusei: Need some help?

Overriding suspects duel runner, turbo duel engaged

Yusei: So it's a tag duel?

Crow: Yep.

All: Let's Duel!

Yusei & Crow: 4000 LP

Security 1: I'll go first, and I play Gate Blocker in defense mode.

Crow: Talk about boring, you guys always start with this monster.

Security 1: Well how's this for some variety? I tribute Gate Blocker to summon Gate Blocker 2 in defense mode.

Security 1: As long as this monster is in play, you can't gain speed counters from Speed World. Next I place 3 cards face-down and end my turn.

Crow: It's about time you guys got an upgrade. It's my move.

Security 1: Not so fast, I play the continuous trap Full Throttle. With it, I gain an additional Speed Counter during each standby phase.

SS SPC: 2

Y&C SPC: 0

Crow: I guess they're trying to stop us from using Speed Spells. Well if these jokers didn't have some kind of skills, this wouldn't be any fun.

Security 1: And now I play the continuous trap Speed Edge. During each player's standby phase, you take 300 damage times the difference in the number of our speed counters. Since I have two and you have none, you take 600 points of damage.

Y&C: 3400 LP

Yusei: You alright Crow?

Crow: It takes more than a little tickle to rattle this guy. And I'll prove it by summoning Blackwing - Bora the Spear in attack mode.

Crow: And since I control a Blackwing monster, I can special summon the tuner monster Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind from my hand.

Level 3/Dark/Winged Beast

Crow: And now that he's on my field, I can use his special ability. Once a turn, Gale can halve the attack and defense points of one of your monsters.

Gate Blocker 2 DEF: 3000-1500

Security 1: In that case, I play the trap Defender's Mind. With it, the defense points of all my monsters get doubled, so Gate Blocker's defense is back to 3000. Let's see your bird brained buffoons get past this defense. Better luck next time Crow.

Yusei: They've got a strong defense set up, and they're dealing direct damage by suppressing our speed counters. Any ideas?

Crow: Only one, but if it doesn't work, we may have to book a room at the facility tonight. I tune level 3 Gale the Whirlwind to level 4 Bora the Spear in order to synchro summon Blackwing - Armor Master.

Level 7/Dark/Winged Beast

Crow: Now attack his monster!

Armor Monster delivered a punch to Gate Blocker, but didn't leave a scratch.

Security 1: Are you kidding me? Your monster doesn't have enough attack points to beat mine, but now you're gonna take damage.

Crow: Not with Armor Master's special ability about to kick in. You see when he battles, I take no damage.

Armor Master pulled his hand back, but left a large black spike lodged in Gate Blocker.

Crow: I place two cards face down and end my turn.

Security 2: It's my turn. And due to the effect of Speed Edge, since the difference in the number of our speed counters is now 4, you take 1200 points of damage.

Y&C: 2200 LP

Security : I summon Gate Defender in defense mode and end my turn.

Level 4/Earth/Rock

ATK 0/DEF 2000-4000

Yusei: Did you ever run into Officer Trudge? He used the same monster against me in one of our duels. It can negate one monster's attack every turn.

Crow: Don't worry, I've set this up for us, you've just gotta knock 'em down.

Yusei: Okay then. It's my turn, I draw.

Security 2: Not so fast. Due to the effect of Speed Edge, since I have 6 more speed counters than you, you take 1800 points of damage.

Y&C: 400 LP

Crow: Hang in there buddy.

Yusei: Will do. I summon Turbo Synchron in attack mode.

Level 1/Wind/Machine

Crow: And I play the trap Level Retuner. This will drop Armor Master's level by 2, making him a level 5. But before we continue, Armor Master's effect activates. You see, when he attacked your Gate Blocker, he left a Wedge Counter on it, and by removing that Wedge Counter, your monster's attack and defense become 0.

Security 1 & 2: Say what?!

Yusei: And now Turbo Synchron tunes with the now level 5 Armor Master to synchro summon Turbo Warrior!

Yusei: And due to Turbo Warrior's effect, he can't be the target of effects from monsters that are level 6 or lower, so Gate Defender can't negate his attack.

Crow: And I play the Ebon Arrow trap card. With it, even though Turbo Warrior loses 500 attack points this turn, if he attacks your monster in defense mode, he deals piercing damage. And as an added bonus, you also get slammed for the destroyed monster's original defense points.

Yusei: Now Turbo Warrior, attack!

Crow: You've gotten a lot better since the old days.

Yusei: You really think so?

Crow: By the way, did you hear about Jack? Some reporter found out he's really from the Satellite and now he's gone off the grid.

Yusei: He disappeared?

Crow: So are you still ticked at him for what he did?

Yusei: Not anymore. Jack did what he thought he had to at the time. He thought if he didn't grab that opportunity he'd be stuck in the Satellite for the rest of his life. I can't blame him for making a choice when he didn't think he had one.

Crow: Wow man, you're a bigger person than I am.

Yusei: I guess.

Hey everyone. Yeah, I don't feel like writing Crow's catchphrase from the dub every time he pops up in a duel, and I think that'll be a relief for everyone.
