Wanda had told everyone that Steve was going to propose. Clint and Thor immediately felt bad for laughing at him before. So when Steve and Nat walked in the living room, holding hands, everyone was expecting the announcement.
Nat: "Why are you looking at us like that ?"
Nat grabbed Steve's arm, she was getting a bit nervous. She wasn't sure about wanting to let everyone know everything about her personal life.
Tony got closer to Thor and Clint to hear what they were saying. And Bucky and Wanda looked at each other worried.
Thor: "Oh no, he didn't ask. He got scared and he didn't ask."
Clint: "That's on you. You laughed at him."
Tony: "You both did, now shut up."
Wanda decided she should take the lead on this. She stepped forward and stared into Steve's eyes looking for approval. He lightly nodded and Wanda felt released.
Wanda: "So, anything you want to share with us ? About your date for exemple ?"
Nat: "I'm not sure..."
Wanda: "Come on Nat, I helped you choose your dress, you owe me something."
Steve: "Well, since I feel like everyone knows now, the reason I took Nat for a date tonight is because I wanted to ask her to marry me."
Bucky: "So, Natasha, what's the status of your relationship with Cap right now ?"
Nat: "We're engaged."
Lexi: "Cool, can I be the flower girl ?"
Charlie: "Can I be the ring barrier ?"
Steve: "Yes, you can. Both of you."
As it was getting late, Steve and Nat took the kids upstairs and put them in bed. It took them a while to fall asleep after the news and when they finally did, Steve and Nat wanted to join the rest of the team but everyone had gone to bed, so they decided to call it a night.
