Steve and the rest of the team arrived where Fury had lost communication with Nat. Clint was there, waiting for them as Fury told him to do.

Steve: "Clint ! What the hell is wrong with you ! You should have kept an eye on her. Dammit ! She is your friend and she is getting married in less than 2 weeks. You should have made sure she was OK !"

Bucky: *in his mind* "Language !"

Vision: "Maybe you should let him explain what happened, Captain."

Steve: *annoyed* "What happened Clint ?"

Clint: "We split up and then I couldn't contact her. When she asked for help I ran over her but when I got here she was gone and neither Sam, Fury or any of us could contact her."

Bucky: "Where is Sam ?"

Sam: *over the coms* "I'm looking for her. Turning this place upside down."

Steve: "Ok. Let's split into teams. Wanda and Vision, go with Clint around the back. Bruce, Tony and Rodney, over there. Scott, Hope and Thor up front. Bucky and I are coming to you Sam. I want everything. Every single clue to where she is, what happened to her, or who took her. Understood ?"

Clint: "Yes."

Scott: "You got it Cap."

Tony: "Groom capsicle is pissed."

Steve: "Not in the mood Stark."

They split up and left in different directions. Soon enough Steve and Bucky found Sam and they kept searching the place, still communicating with the rest of the team. They didn't search through the rooms Sam had already checked, even if Steve wanted to. But Bucky and Sam convinced him he should trust The Falcon and move on because the sooner they find her the more chances of her being all right they had.

As the rest of the team was moving forward, searching every single inch of those buildings, Steve got more and more frustrated, and pissed off, as he kept hearing "Clear !" throughout the coms. The simple thought of Nat being in danger and him being unable to help her was driving him crazy. In all the missions, he always made sure she was ok, fighting by her side and sprinting up to her as soon as she announced that she needed help. Protecting her at all costs.

Bucky saw a tear coming down his best friend's cheek. He tried reassuring him but he was pretty scared himself.

Bucky: "You Ok Steve ?"

Steve: "I can't lose her Buck. She is my everything."

Bucky: "I understand..."

Steve: *interrupting* "NO ! YOU DON'T. You've never had someone like her in your life ! You were a player and since you stopped being the winter soldier you've hadn't had any love life ! SO NO, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND !"

Sam: "Hey, she is gonna be alright. You forgot how tough she is ?"

Bucky: "She probably bit the shit out of these people and is already looking for her way back.

Steve: "I'm sorry for yelling at you Bucky."

Bucky: "It's fine Steve. It really is."

After this little incident they could hear some weird sounds through the coms. They tried to reach the rest of the Avengers but the sound was cutting in between words. They figured that that was the same thing that happened to Nat. Steve got ready to burst in and fight, although Bucky and Sam told him they should walk back a bit, and tell the rest of the team to join them there. But he didn't really listen. As soon as Sam and Bucky turned around to be able to join the others over the coms, Steve crashed the door down making all of the men inside the room turn to him.

Sam and Bucky told the team to meet them and sent them the coordinates. They sight when they heard the door crash and didn't see Steve behind them. They looked at each other worried.

Bucky: "Go. I'll wait here for the others."

Sam: "Hell no, I can't deal with him when he's like that. He'll only listen to you."

Bucky: "Rock, paper, scissors ?"

Sam: "Three for the win."

Bucky: "Deal."

Sam: "Deal."

While they were playing this little game, Steve was already fighting. He was clearly outnumbered, but he didn't care. All he could think about was finding Nat safe. He started throwing his shield, kicking guys, punching and spinning around. He got his shield back just in time to protect himself from some bullets. He didn't even give the bad guys time to communicate together, before anyone realized it, there was only one man still conscious apart from Steve. He was pretty badly injured and it only took Steve a few punches until he fell down to his knees. Steve grabbed his hair and pulled his head back to look him in the eyes.

Steve: "Where is she ?"

Man: "Who ?"

Steve: "You know exactly who I'm talking about. WHERE IS SHE ?"

Man: "You mean, pretty girl, redhead, even more beautiful when naked."

Steve couldn't hold his anger and smashed that man's face on the ground. He pulled him up again by his hair, watching as blood was dripping down his nose.

Steve: "I won't repeat it again, Where is she ?"

Man: "I don't know."

Steve punched him once again and the man fell to the ground, unconscious. Just then, Sam walked in. He stood there in shock seeing the incredible amount of men laying on the floor around him. He was genuinely surprised to see how much damage he could do when he was upset. He had never seen him like that.

Sam: "Umm... Remind me to never get you pissed off and to never even think of approaching Natasha in any way you don't like."

Steve: "You're late."

Sam: "Well..."

He was interrupted by Bucky and the rest of the team walking in.

Bucky: "Wow, you two are dangerous."

Sam: "Actually, Steve was done when I got here."

Tony: "Way to go Captain. Didn't know this side of you."

Bucky: "He has always wanted to defend people. So, what's our next move."

Steve turned around, and after doing a full circle , he redirected himself towards a door.

Steve: "This way."

Wanda: "All of us ?"

Steve: "YES ! How else are we gonna bring Nat back in one piece."

Bruce: "You heard the man."

Steve's first thought was to look around the room, and search through it, to see if there was any chance she was still there. In fact, she wasn't. She was actually in another building. But there was access to it through an underground secret tunnel. As the others gave up and told Steve they were heading back to the compound because they thought Nat wasn't there anymore, the Captain refused to go and pretended he was following them before turning back in. He had a feeling, a feeling that he was missing something, a feeling that Nat was still somewhere there and he needed to do something, he refused to go back to his kids and having to tell them that their mother was missing.

Steve went crazy looking around, he moved every pile of documents, every closet, every table, every single piece of furniture until he found it. He saw the little trap that led to these secret tunnels. He had some trouble getting in, but then he rushed. He ran as if his life depended on it, actually, Nat's life depended on it, so he ran even faster, until he reached a door. He stopped, catching his breath for a few seconds. Then, he kicked the door down. At his surprise, no one was there. Just Nat. And a few dead bodies.

Nat: "You're late. Give me a hand."

Steve: "You're hurt."

Nat: "I'm fine."

Steve: "It wasn't a question."

She turned around, so he could untie her from the chair. He hesitated before asking.

Steve: "How did you manage to cause so much damage even though you were tied to a chair ?"

Nat: "I used the chair as a weapon."

Steve: "Why am I not even surprised ?"

Nat: "Because you know me well love."

Steve: "I do. I was worried, you know."

Nat: "I know."

Steve: "I love you Nat."

With these words, the chair fell to the ground. And Nat turned, gazing into Steve's eyes. He grabbed her by the waist, pulling her closer so their bodies could meet, and kissed her urgently. She kissed him back with passion, locking her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss.
