A.N. : Hey guys, I'm so sorry, I updated on Wattpad and totally forgot to update this story here ! I'm terribly sorry. Enjoy !

Lexi ran across the compound, first stop: the lab. She opened the door in a hurry before yelling for whoever was inside that dinner was ready, and, as quickly as she had done it, she disappeared in the opposite direction.

Now half running, half jumping out of excitement, she barged into Wanda's room, where all the girls were still reunited. No one in the room had actually had time to see her, that she was already running off to the kitchen. The only thing that the girls managed to catch was the voice of the little girl, still lingering in the air when she had turned around, informing them that dinner was served.

Lexi went back to the kitchen, where her father was already pulling out of the cupboards everything needed to set the table. Between the two of them, and Charlie who had joined the kitchen rather quickly when he had heard his sister's voice from the lab, the table was set just in time for the rest of the Avengers to take a sit and enjoy the pizza Captain America himself had had fun preparing with his daughter's help.

The pizza pleased everyone, and the dinner was spent making jokes (mostly about the drawing on Steve's face), complimenting the cooks, and just talking and laughing. Until it was time for the kids to go to bed.

Once Nat and Steve came back downstairs, the rest of the Avengers had moved the conversation over to the living room. The couple joined the rest of the group and caught up to the conversation. But soon enough the group was naturally divided into multiple ones, depending on the subject of the different conversations.

After a little while the boys found themselves talking about the wedding. Well, not exactly. Steve did talk about how excited he was to marry Natasha, but soon enough the rest of the men turned the conversation from the cheesy talk the Captain was giving them, to the 'important matters' as Tony called it: the bachelor party.

As much as Steve insisted he didn't want to do anything but he'd be glad to just spend the evening with his friends, Tony had already decided, and somehow managed to get Bucky to agree with him, to throw a party at the compound. Though they had also decided to plan it behind his back, and not tell him there was a party until literally five minutes before said party started.

On the other side, the girls weren't as concerned about the lack of interest in partying. The girls were trying to reassure Natasha.

Wanda: "Nat, let me and the girls handle the planning of your bachelorette party ok ? You'll just have to enjoy it."

Nat: "Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate what you're doing for me, but I have responsibilities."

Carol: "Is this about the twins ? 'cause that's already sorted out."

Nat: "How's that sorted out ? Please don't tell me you're planning on taking them with us 'cause that's not sorting anything out."

Hope: "No ! That would be completely irresponsible ! We have a babysitter. And before you say anything, yes we can trust him, no I didn't do a background check on him, yes you know him, and no he won't put your kids at risk."

Nat: "Who is it ?"

Peter: *joining the conversation* "It's me !"

Wanda: "Hey Spidey boy ! What brings you by ?"

Peter: "Right ! I have this for you."

Natasha grabbed the nicely folded piece of paper Peter was holding out for her to take. The young hero then walked away from the girls and back to the group he was with before, leaving the girls with a curious look on their faces. Natasha met Steve's caring gaze and instinctively knew he had sent Peter over. She returned his smile before turning her gaze back to the girls, and then read the handwritten letter out loud.

"Natasha, my love,

I am so happy that I get to marry you in a few days. I know the beginnings were hard, and I know our decision to keep our relationship secret wasn't easy, especially when you got pregnant. But we made it, and even though it was a lot of trouble, and nothing ever went according to plan with the twins, we raised amazing kids together, and I couldn't be happier. I know I already tell you this a lot, but I love you, and I can't wait to spent the rest of my life with you, telling you and showing you how much you mean to me, and how much I love you, every single day for the rest of my life. I also have to say that I'm sorry. I know you hate surprises, and I know it stresses you out, but I have one last surprise for you before the wedding. I'll come get you when it's time for it.

I love you,

Steve."

Carol: "Ok, I knew Steve was sweet and romantic but I wasn't expecting that."

Wanda: "Nat ? You're really quiet."

Nat: "As used as I am to Steve being... Steve, I have to say I wasn't expecting this either. ...Oh god ! I love this man so much."

She looked over at Steve, who hasn't taken his eyes off her since she received the letter. He smiled at her in the most loving way possible. And she smiled back, finally letting a single tear she had been holding back for reading purposes, fall. Steve got up, walking in the direction of the girls, who watched the interaction between the two lovers with heart eyes, wondering how on earth it was possible for two people to love each other as much as Steve and Nat love each other.

Steve reached out to wipe away Nat's tears, letting his hand linger on her cheek afterwards. Natasha placed her smaller hand on top of Steve's and got up, closing the distance between them with a tender kiss.

Carol: "I hate to break this beautiful moment but Steve... You have something on your face."

Steve: "What ?"

Wanda: "Steve, you have a drawing on your face."

Steve: "Oh, right ! Well, now you know what happens when you have kids. You have to sacrifice your credibility as an Avenger for them to have a bit of fun."

Hope: "I'm not sure I want kids of my own anymore."

Steve: "Believe me it's all worth it when you see the big smile on their faces."

Carol: "Ok, two things. One: I keep forgetting that Scott has a daughter. And two: it will always amaze me how brutal and manly Steve is when he's fighting and how sweet he gets when he's with his family."

Steve: "Is that a good thing ?"

Nat: "Yes, love, you're the best dad ever and soon you'll be the best husband as well. Plus, you're my favourite hero."

Steve, who had both of his arms still wrapped around Nat's waist, let go of one and pulled it up, closing his fist and letting his head back a bit in a winning manner. He exhaled a "yes" making the girls laugh.

Steve: "What's so funny ?"

Wanda: "Why are you so happy ?"

Steve: *proudly* "I'm her hero !"

That last sentence earned him another kiss, as well as a loving glance and a smile. Nat pushed Steve down where she was sitting earlier, and sat on his lap, while she rested her back against his chest, and he wrapped his arms around her, placing a soft kiss on her neck, before nuzzling his head in her hair, getting comfortable for the suite of the conversation.
