Today, I'm brining you the next chapter in "Rouge and the Book of shadows" I know it has been one hell of a long wait and I am sorry but things have been ,as you can probably imagine REALLY chaotic around here, but I am working on something here in the meantime, so I ask you to please be patient with me
But without further delay, HERE WE GO
Chapter 4 Vicious Voodoo
P.S (Mz. Ruby in this story isn't fat but thin, curvy and…well-built)
(Two days later)
After planning, fueling up and eating breakfast, Rouge, Bentley and Murray set out for their third target
(Rouge's P.O.V)
"The third member of the Fiendish five was the infamous, voodoo priestess, Mz. Ruby, born into a family of mystics, other children found her…scary, teaching herself to summon the undead, provided what few friends she had, a career in crime allowed an adult Mz. Ruby to punish the world for fearing her as a child, chief mystic for the Fiendish five, her powers allow her to break both the laws of man and nature at the same time, thought, despite the whirlwind success of her youth, she managed to fade into obscurity, last reported sittings, she separated herself from civilization and vanished deep into the jungle"

The team van came up to the trail leading to Mz. Ruby's lair and Rouge jumped out, activating Bentley's drone after getting a little way inward, Bentley contacted her
"Sorry Rouge but this is ONE mission you'll have to accomplish without me" Bentley told her
"Why…wait a minute, don't tell me you believe the legends of ghosts and strange beasts in this jungle, do you" Rouge asked
"Sure, I do, my scanners have picked up verifiable, paranormal activity, but that's not the problem" Bentley said
"Then what IS the problem" Rouge asked, crossing her arms
"This swamp is OOZING with disgusting mold and bacteria" Bentley said
"Seriously" Rouge asked
"You're a girl, you should be on my side on that last part" Bentley
"What does being a girl gotta do with mold and bacteria" Rouge asked
"Oh, NEVERMIND" Bentley said
"Good, because I didn't wanna have to explain myself, just suck it up Bentley we got work to do…what are you a turtle or a chicken" Rouge replied
"Alright, alright just don't forget to use the new move you learned from Muggshot's section of the Book of shadows" Bentley said
"The rail walk" Rouge said
"The vines and roots around here are PERFECT for that, especially the vines around here that are really slippery with icky SLIME and moss, you'll really move like a skater grinding pipe" Bentley said
"Perfect" Rouge said before she started to make her way to Mz Ruby's lair, using the rail slide and rail walk techniques she learned from the Book of shadows, the guards she encountered were of a different variety, they had tamed animals with them, being led by the guards, who were enhanced with voodoo magic, Rouge thought they were interesting but still no match for her level of skill, eventually, she came up to the barrier, protecting Mz. Ruby's lair, she then called Bentley on the earpiece
"That's Mz. Ruby's lair alright, to get in you'll need that treasure key on top of the tiki pedestal in the center of the guard compound, but there's a bad mojo force field protecting it, so you'll need to destroy all FIVE of the purple candles surrounding it" Bentley told Rouge
"Shouldn't be a problem" Rouge said
"All the same you better watch yourself unless you wanna get your head shrunk down to the size of a pea…you gotta get past those voodoo guards patrolling the grounds, I'm warning you they're mean, and they work like a team" Bentley warned
"So, do we my little genius" Rouge replied before hanging up, Rouge then moved incredibly careful not to alert the tamed animals that the guards had, knocking them out one at a time and snuffing out the candles she then snatched the treasure key, she entered Mz. Ruby's fortress then Bentley called
"My paranormal detectors are maxing out on that structure" Bentley said as Rouge looked up to a wicked looking, voodoo-like structure, she was getting a very wicked vibe from it
"Yeah, I'm getting some seriously BAD vibes coming from it myself and a signature that strong could only come off Mz. Ruby herself" Rouge stated
"I agree, if you want a crack at her your gonna have to find a way to get up to that skull temple" Bentley said
"I'm sure the good Mz. Ruby won't mind if I POKE around" Rouge said before hanging up, she then started prowling the compound until she came to a section of the place where it was barricaded by a huge gate
"WHEW…this has gotta be the biggest gate I've ever seen in all my life" Rouge said
"What's this industrial-strength voodoo gate doing here…Mz. Ruby must really be trying to keep something out" Bentley stated
"Or maybe" Rouge muttered
"Maybe WHAT" Bentley asked
"I hate to ask this Bentley but, what if Mz. Ruby wasn't trying to keep something out…what if…she's trying to keep something IN" Rouge stated before hanging up, she used climbable ledges to ascend over the gate, she encountered some wild beasts in there, but quickly took care of them, however she was getting the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach's that she was in for big trouble
"These walls are making me claustrophobic" Bentley said through the earpiece
"WHOA" Rouge said as she saw a bunch of reeds move, she jerked back and stepped away from the reeds that moved
"Bentley, tell me you saw that" Rouge asked
"Oh, I SAW it alright, there's something huge under there" Bentley said
"You know something…I think your right" Rouge agreed as she continued onward
"You better GET GOING" Bentley said in a panicked tone
"I'M GOING, I'M GOING" Rouge replied as she continued onward until she saw firsthand what Mz. Ruby was trying to keep in, a MASSIVE snake that busted through the barrier that was holding it
"AAAAAAAAAAAAH" Rouge heard both Bentley and Murray scream through the earpiece
"HOLY JUMPING HORNY TOADS" Rouge shouted
"ROUGE GET OUT OF THERE" Bentley yelled before Rouge made a ran for it, moving like a mouse trying to avoid getting caught by the cat, through trees, across vines and swinging on vines, she almost lost her head to the snake but she eventually saw a way to get rid of the beast for a bit, she jumped on a strong branch which made it bend backwards before she jumped off and whacked the giant snake right in the face, temporarily blinding it, Rouge saw her chance to hide in some thick brush to hide from it, after the snake looked around a bit without finding Rouge it slithered back to its hole, Rouge then came out of the shrub
"WHEW" Rouge huffed
"Rouge, you okay" Bentley asked through the earpiece
"Ten fingers, ten toes, two arms, two legs, head…yeah…I'm, I'm all here" Rouge said
"Thank heavens" Bentley's voice was heard
"Snakes, WHY did it have to be SNAKES" Murray's voice was heard
"I don't know Murray, but now I know how a mouse feels being chased by a cat" Rouge said before she got the treasure key, next she went for the next treasure key which was somewhere in a graveyard-like setting
"Rouge you'd better be on your guard here my paranormal scanners show this place is REALLY haunted" Bentley warned
"Yeah, my danger sense is pounding like a jackhammer here…something's in the air and it ain't just swamp gas" Rouge replied before she moved forward, who had to fight her way through a miniature maze of guard creatures and purple ghosts that were being generated by these stone slabs so Rouge figured he would smash them
"No more fun and games for you, spooky" Rouge asked
"Now that was very interesting, when you smashed that headstone the ghosts stopped coming, it must be some-kind of ghost generator…maybe if you smash them all you'll be safe" Bentley advised
"Thanks for the heads up" Rouge thanked Bentley before she continued onward until she came to a lake filled piranha's, Bentley then called
"Rouge, the only way to unlock that Voodoo gate is by lighting all twenty-five tiki torches with the flamethrower on the swamp skiff nearby" Bentley explained
"That's the good new but now tell me the bad news" Rouge said
"You'll need fuel for the flamethrower and the ONLY source of oil are those piranha you see swimming around in the lake, so you'll need to run them down with the boat, one boat fuels one shot, HURRY though you've only got two minutes to get all the torches lit before the guards come around" Bentley advised
"I'm on it" Rouge replied before she mounted up on the skiff and got to chasing the fish down, it was a bit tricky and frustrating but she eventually got all the torches lit and JUST in time and she collected the next treasure key and with enough keys, Rouge opened up the cage of the massive snake and it bulldozed its way through the security door to the next section of the compound
"I was wondering where that thing was" Bentley's voice was heard, suddenly the giant snake looked at Rouge and got VERY close to her
"Uh-oh" Murray muttered thinking it was gonna attack Rouge
"ROUGE, MOVE" Bentley said as he tensed up, thinking the snake was gonna eat her
"I'm the one who let you go, your free now…your FREE, go home" Rouge said, the snake seemed to think about it for a few minutes before it nuzzled against Rouge
"Um, your welcome" Rouge said before the snake took off
"Whew, I thought you were gonna be its lunch" Murray said
"Where's it going" Bentley asked
"Going home" Rouge said before she continued onward, she then came across what looked like a mixing machine or something like that
"Looks like some kind of giant, voodoo eggbeater to stir up that unsanitary mess" Bentley stated, Rouge then got an idea by looking at the machine
"Bentley, I think I got an idea on how to get up to Mz Ruby's skull temple" Rouge said
"Well, do share" Bentley answered
"How about this, If I could unlock the cauldron's lid, I might be able to thrash their production and use the buildup of steam to catapult me up to Mz Ruby's skull temple, what do you think" Rouge asked him
"Most defiantly, sounds like we got a plan, but you'll need to get at all seven of her treasure keys in order to get at it" Bentley replied
"Alright then" Rouge replied
"And you better move in the shadows of the masks moving around that thing, so the guards won't see you" Bentley advised before the two hung up, after going through more corridors, eventually Rouge came to one that was filled with bones and body parts
"OH, MY GAAAAH, a green waterfall overflowing with BONES AND BODYPARTS" Bentley said in shock
"UH, I think I'm gonna puke" Murray said
"WHEW, that is disgusting" Rouge muttered
"Oh, sure NO-O-OW you complain about the place being disgusting" Bentley said
"Hey moss and slime aren't a big thing for me, but BODY PARTS just floating around the place, THAT'S…where I draw the line" Rouge said before she continued onward, the place had a few ghost generators, but Rouge wasn't afraid of no ghosts, so she pushed forward
"Look at all the security in this place…this has GOT to be the source of all that disgusting, green soup" Bentley said
"Sure looks that way" Rouge replied before moving forward, eventually, she found the treasure key at the end of the trail, next she had to take a ride on a haunted boat ride while fending off wave after wave of ghosts and using a strange, floating vehicle
"Man, I REALLY gotta get me one of these bad boys…but I wonder if they come in dark purple" Rouge said
"Rouge, get this, according to my paranormal scanners, that green soup is actually highly charged ectoplasm" Bentley said
"Ectoplasm…isn't that the stuff that ghosts are said to be made of" Rouge asked
"Correct but how did you know that" Bentley asked
"I watch a lot of Ghost adventures what else" Rouge asked
"Ugh, right, anyway the ectoplasm just might be the source of power for all these ghost generators you've been finding all over the place" Bentley said before Rouge pushed onward, after retrieving the second to last treasure key she soon found himself in a chicken bar-like area and a ghost hovering overhead with the last treasure key in hand
"With all the hay and feathers in here just looking at this place has got me breaking out in hives…you know if I had an allergic reaction to them" Murray said
"Bentley, does this have something to do with the ghost floating overhead with the treasure key" Rouge asked
"You're on the dote, Rouge that ghost contacted me via specter-wave radio, and we cut a deal he's offering us the last treasure key if you can whack fifty chickens in this barn" Bentley said
"Chickens, for what" Rouge asked
"Not sure probably to make a patch of gumbo or something but he's a, um…a little afraid of them" Bentley said before Rouge and Murray chuckled a bit
"That's embarrassing" Murray said
"Yeah, it is…well alright if it'll get us the last key, best get busy" Rouge said before she ran after fifty chickens, which were no match for Rouge's speed, finally with enough keys Rouge went to and unlocked the giant egg beater, take the guards out and readied herself
"Hope you're ready Mz. Ruby" Rouge muttered as she built up enough pressure on the caldron lid and it rocketed her up to the skull temple, where she dug in with her cane and ended up coming face to face with the voodoo priestess herself, Mz. Ruby who was performing a strange ritual dance in her ceremonial clothing (Which was like the female Forsworn armor from "Elder scrolls: Skyrim")
"HMMM, I could feel such a strange vibe coming, most distastefully bad juju" Mz. Ruby stated
"Yeah, well, you give me the creeps to gator-lips, cooking up an army of ghosts isn't exactly a friendly, neighborhood past time" Rouge replied, making her chuckle
"Oh, sweet, misguided Rouge…I see your mouth moving…but ALL I HEAR is…blah, blah, blah…well, if your jaws need to flap, then let them flap, I've got work to do" She told her
"Not for long you don't" Rouge said before she rushed at her up to her and take her down but she instantly vanished and reappeared way over to Rouge's right, through a corridor filled with cashing and snapping spikes
"Hmm…your quiet slick on your feet, but still, you won't catch me, see you in the next world, Rouge, oh…and tell that HANDSOME hunk of a daddy of yours Mz. Ruby says hi" She told her
"My dad" Rouge asked
"OH YES…I begged our leader to spare him, I've been meaning to find a suitable mate so my line can continue my legacy of Voodoo MIGHT…I begged him to let me have your father as my own but alas that wasn't gonna happen, too bad…we would have mad such BEAUTIFUL children together" Mz. Ruby said, this made Rouge's blood boil
"YOU…YOU…FILTHY…SCALY…you will PAY FOR SAYING THAT ABOUT MY FATHER" Rouge yelled before she pursued Mz. Ruby through the corridor of spikes and tried to attack her again, even though she tried to fight back with a whip-like weapon, Rouge seemed to be close to his target, but she vanished again, reappearing through another corridor
"COME BACK HERE AND FIGHT LIKE A WOMAN" Rouge yelled
"Oh, I think I struck a nerve with that talk about your father" Mz. Ruby said
"You can't run away forever" Rouge said
"Quite true, quite true…why don't I have my servants…Chumley escort you over here" She asked
"Alright, what's the catch" Rouge asked
"Oh, not much, just a little game I like to play with all my annoying guests…I wanna see how well you pay attention" Mz. Ruby answered
"What do you mean" Rouge asked
"WELL, I'll unleash my mighty, mojo magic upon you, if you repeat what I do, you'll dodge it just fine…if not…you'll get ZAPPED" Ruby replied
"A little voodoo Simon says, eh, sounds easy enough" Rouge stated
"We'll SEE" Mz. Ruby said as a large turtle appeared before Rouge and she hopped on it as it started to move slowly over to the Voodoo lady, she unleashed several spells on Rouge, hopping to kill her but Rouge mimicked her movements, eventually Rouge managed to corner Mz. Ruby and get in close to deliver a knockout hit
"No, no, no, NO…how can this be" Mz Ruby asked
"Easy your magic could only get you so far, it works on others…but not on someone like me" Rouge answered as Mz. Ruby chuckled
"Well…you certainly got some rhythm girl, not bad at all" She told Rouge
"You certainly had some to, I won't lie" Rouge replied
"So, what now" The Voodoo lady asked
"I take back what you and your group stole…and track down the last two members" Rouge answered
"Well…your one tough gal I'll give you that much, but it won't help you none if your fixing to go after the Panda king…he's tough…with a capital T…if you go pocking around his stronghold in China…you'll likely…to get…pocked…BACK" Mz Ruby replied before she passed out
"Well, if he's like the rest of you I think I'll manage" Kai replied before taking not only her section of the Book of shadows before she made her escape, like the last two times, the cops showed up with Raven on point, they took the guards remaining to jail and released the captured animals back into the wilds, Rouge and her team made their getaway in the team van
"That was…rather interesting to say the least, eh" Bentley asked Rouge
"You could say that again, let's get out of here…I need a shower" Rouge muttered the last part before the group took off
"WHEW, yeah you do" Murray said
"You got swamp gas ALL OVER you" Bentley added
"More like all those NASTY things she said about my dad" Rouge replied
(Scene change, Paris hideout, Rouge's private shower)
Rouge stood naked under her nice, warm shower as she was cleansing herself of both the smell of the swamp and to clear her head about what Mz. Ruby said about her father
"Stupid voodoo lady, saying those things about my dad…he would NEVER choose someone so vile over mom, no WAY" Rouge muttered, she then finished up her shower before dressing in her nightwear before she got to work on further repairing the Book of shadows, like she did with the other two members of the Fiendish five and even caught up on the new chapter to the book
(Rouge's P.O.V)
"Mz. Ruby's section of the Book of shadows held notes from my pioneering ancestor, Khamen who was born in the time of the ancient pharos where he not only created his signature invisibility technique which he used to steal from corrupt Pharos and greedy noblemen but also created the organization called "The eye" which were a gathering of magicians who used the arts of "Slight-of-hand" to keep the balance of power, right on schedule Raven's arrival cued my exit, the production of zombies, made illegal in the world peace court of seventy-one earned Mz Ruby and her men life-time in prison each, three of the five have been taken down and things will no doubt get even tougher but I will avenge the wrong done to my mother and father and restore our precious book, nothing will stop me, though at first I had to feel a little sorry for Ruby but after what she said about my dad…I don't anymore"

Rouge soon wrapped up the book after restoring the pages she took back from Mz. Ruby before taking some time to think before she got comfortable and went to sleep, eager to see the last two members of the Fiendish five to fall
