Welcome everyone and I hope your all having a great day and staying safe in these difficult times
Halloween is upon us and I'm excited because it has always been one of my favorite holidays, behind Easter and Christmas of course, so I hope you guys will be safe this Halloween
We continue our story into "Rouge and the Book of shadows" so ya'll better bundle up because its gonna get chilly and I mean CHILLY, because were heading to China

Chapter 5 Fire in the sky
(Two days later)
With breakfast in their bellies, the van fueled up and ready to go and a plan in their corner, Rouge and the group loaded up and sped off to the fourth member of the fiendish five
(Rouge's P.O.V)
"The trip gave the time I needed to study up on…Panda king…born penniless, he was fascinated by the fireworks, rich, noblemen set off every new year, he spent a decade learning the art but when he tried to offer his fireworks to the noblemen, they couldn't see past his shabby clothes and chased him away, humiliated, he sought revenge on those who shunned him by using the very tools of his heart for crime, the Fiendish five recruited him as the demolitions expert and ever since then, his explosive touch has been feared world-wide, he's rumored to be perfecting some new, firework technique, high in the unstable mountains of Western China and according to his files he is a student of every form of Kung Fu mantis, crane, viper, monkey, tiger and more…so I have to stay on my toes when I face him"
(End of P.O.V)
The van came as far as it could go, so Rouge was dropped off at a road leading to her destination and she activated Bentley's drone, Rouge also put on some Winter clothing
"Well…it's for my father and mother" Rouge muttered before she started her climb, with her climbing skills and her acrobatic training, it was easy for her to get up the mountain, she encountered more guards who were expertly trained in martial arts and weapon using but she got past them, until she got to a overlook of a nearby village
"HEY ROUGE, A FIREWORK SHOW" Bentley called from the earpieces, a firework shot across the sky, but it hit a mountain above the village and buried the village in the snow
"No" Rouge muttered
"That's AWFUL, all those poor people buried in freezing snow" Bentley said, Rouge saw the origin point of the firework, it came from a giant statue in the distant
"I saw the firework come from that giant statue and no doubt Panda king lite the fuse" Rouge said
"You gotta get up there fast before he buries another town" Bentley told Rouge
"Don't worry, I will" Rouge answered before she really booked it to the Panda king's compound, after stealing a key from some guards, Rouge then entered the compound, Bentley then called
"Nice job getting into the compound, I think I found a way to get you up to the top of that statue quickly but, the way forward is blocked by a reinforced ceiling hatch" Bentley said
"No problem, these guys look like they're keeping plenty of firepower on hand, all I need is a couple more keys to get at the fireworks here and they should be enough to blast right through the hatch" Rouge stated before taking off to retrieve more keys, one of them was in a beautifully preserved temple-like structure
"Rouge stay on your toes around here, despite its temple-like façade this place is actually a training ground for Panda King's men" Bentley warned
"Please, I trained to be a ballerina when I was younger, I can stand on my tip toes for hours, Bentley" She replied
"You know what I MEAN" Bentley replied
"I know Bentley, just funning with ya, thanks for the warning" Rouge replied before moving forward, Bentley was right the place was filled with guards that were trained in the martial arts but luckily Rouge was able to fend them off and move through the still-training guards he soon reached the end of the trail to grab the next treasure key, it was under some DEEP security
"Rouge this place would be a perfect spot for you to try out your new technique" Bentley said
"You read my mind, if I gone over the instructions right then I'll instantly drop out of sight, becoming completely invisible" Rouge said
"Right but remember, while invisible you CAN'T move and is the guards have already detected you then the invisibility technique WON'T work on them" Bentley advised
"Rodger" Rouge replied before she continued forward using her new technique to great effect, it came in very handy soon she got past the guards and she encountered ANOTHER one of those floating, blasting machines when she got to the next location
"Huh, doesn't THIS look familiar" Rouge said
"Familiar indeed, Rouge, this vehicle is identical to the one you found in Mz, Ruby's lair, someone with some SERIOUS high-tech skills must be providing these guys with hardware…the fifth member of the Fiendish five, perhaps" Bentley asked
"Probably, be a dear for me Bentley and run a test on this thing" Rouge asked Bentley
"You got it" Bentley answered before Rouge mounted the vehicle and continued forward where several of the Panda king's guards tried to stop her but she blasted them in return and made it to the end of the area and got her hands on the treasure key, after dismounting the strange vehicle, Rouge continued onward and she got further inside of the compound, Bentley then contacted Rouge
"Alright, Bentley now what" Rouge asked
"Well, I've done some calculations with the rockets near your position" Bentley said as Rouge looked to see two big rockets that were locked down tight
"Yeah, AND" Rouge asked
"I'm ninety-nine percent sure that you'll be able to ride them all the way up to the top of the Panda king's statue before they explode" Bentley said
"And…what about that OTHER one percent" Rouge asked
"In that case Rouge you'll be blown into little, sticky pieces but the experience will no doubt be SPECTACULAR" Bentley answered
"Spectacular, that's comforting Bentley" Rouge said
"Anyway, to get at it the rockets your gonna need all seven of the Panda kings treasure keys, so get to it" Bentley said before Rouge moved on eventually got to the next one where Bentley contacted Rouge
"Murray is all fired up to make a run for the treasure key that's nearby Rouge" Bentley told her, she then noticed the blasting station nearby
"Which means I've gotta protect him while he makes a run for it" Rouge said
"Correct" Bentley answered
"You got my back on this one Rouge" Murray called through the earpiece
"You know I ALWAYS do" Rouge replied before mounting the blasting station, though many guards tried to stop Murray, Rouge didn't let any of them get the chance to hurt him and he got to the treasure key, after handing it to Rouge, she made a dash for the nest treasure key but she came across a not too friendly face, Raven
"FREEZE ROUGE" Raven yelled
"How can it when my heart warms at the fight of my beloved Ray-Ray" Rouge asked
"SHUT UP ROUGE, I don't know WHAT you're doing all the way over here in China, but I bet it can't be good for whoever owns this place" Raven said
"WOW…you REALLY must be obsessed over capturing me if you can't even see what's going on around here" Rouge replied
"All I see is a pathetic…cowardly…treacherous…BACKSTABBING" Raven growled
"Are we gonna stand here all night with me listening to you throw insults at me" Rouge asked
"YOU...you get my point all I see is a thief who's eluded the long arm of the law for TOO long" Raven said
"Well, unlike you who RAN AWAY and turned your back on your own family heritage, I didn't, I'm proud to be a thief, especially when I'm stealing from a vicious, cold-blood extortionist like the Panda King, OPEN YOUR EYES RAY-RAY" Rouge said
"I SAID STOP CALLING ME THAT" Raven yelled
"Okay, OKAY…Raven, open your eyes, these quaint temples are the cover up for an illegal explosives-making operation" Rouge said
"Don't try to confuse the issue, you criminals are all the same, you can try and run but you WON'T be able to do it forever, NONE of you can escape the law" Raven replied as she started chasing Rouge and trying to shoot her with her Shock pistol, she chased Rouge through the area, past guards and obstacles as the chase went on, Raven meant business now but even with her police training, she was still letting her anger get the better of her, so when Rouge saw the opportunity, she took it and knocked Raven into the frozen mountain below while she was on top of a dragon statue after knocking its bolts lose with some fireworks
"Watch your BACK SISTER, when you least expect it, I'LL BE THERE" Raven yelled as she plummeted downward, Rouge then sighed as she shook her head
"Oh Ray-Ray…if only you could understand" Rouge said before she moved forward, eventually she got to the final treasure key location only it looked like Murray beat her to it
"Oh no, NOT AGAIN" Rouge growled before she contacted Murray
"Murray what in the world are you DOING down there" Rouge asked her hippo friend
"Well, I'm minding my post when I noticed this snow cone stand and I say to myself "Hey Murray, you gotta keep your energy up" so I hurry over here and the next thing I know there's MONKEY EVERYWHERE, bugging me to race them three times around this track for a key" Murray answered
"Murray you seriously need to work on your self-control when it comes to food…but we could use that key, however, think you can take em" Rouge asked
"Come on Rouge, there a pack of monkeys, how could I lose" Murray asked
"Probably if they offered you a bunch of bananas" Rouge answered
"Low blow Rouge, low blow" Murray replied, Rouge chuckled a little
"Okay, okay, I'm serious now, just watch out for those slippery spots on the track" Rouge advised
"Thanks for the advice Rouge but trust me…I got this under control" Murray replied before he got to racing, it wasn't easy with the slippery tracks but Murray overcame the monkey drivers and got the key, now with all seven in hand after Murray handed the last key to Rouge, she hurried back to the giant rockets that were meant to get her up to the Panda King, unlocked them
"We have ignition" Rouge said before lighting the rockets and then she held on for dear life
"Here goes NOTHING" Rouge muttered before she was rocketed up to the top of the statue, where he was confronted by the Panda King
"I see you carry cane of notorious, Bat clan…have you come here for revenge, to steal back the Book of shadows" Panda King asked Rouge
"That was my plan at first, but now…I'm more interested in putting an end to your whole avalanching extortion scheme" Rouge replied
"Why should you care if I burry a few, worthless villages in the snow, you are a thief…just like ME" Panda King replied
"No, that's only half true, I am a thief, from a long line of master thieves, but you however, you're just a frustrated firework artist turned homicidal, pyromaniac" Rouge replied before readying herself
"INSOLENT CHILD, you will pay dearly for you disrespect, still to honor your thieving ancestry, I will send you to your doom with the beauty of my new firework technique…FLAME-FU" Panda King told him as his fists suddenly caught fire, Rouge decided to fight evenly with the Panda King in traditional Chinese style
"Then by battle" Rouge started before she took a bone-legged like stance with her body turned to the right and holding her cane with both hands like a Kitana blade
"To the God's make known their WILL" Rouge said (That was an Aquaman movie reference)
"As you WISH" Panda King replied both of them charged at each other, they both were talented fighters, Panda King's Flame-Fu style was impressive but Rouge was very quick, agile and graceful so she used that to her advantaged and toke down Panda King both, after a long duel, Rouge tossed Panda king over her and whacked him over the head, defeating him, Rouge now looked down at the defeated Panda King
"It looks like the God's favor the Bat clan this day" Rouge told Panda King
"Your skill with that cane…is unparalleled" Panda king said before he passed out, after grabbing the page of the Book of shadow that Panda king took from her family, Rouge made her way back down the mountain, entered the team van and they made their escape
(Sometime later back in the Paris hideout)
(Rouge's P.O.V)
"Retrieving the Panda King's section of the Book of shadows gave me the chance to learn about a technically-minded ancestor Van Otto while not well-known for her physical dexterity and physical abilities, he did make up for it ten-fold with his brilliant and tactical mind where he relied on machines even drones to aid in his thieving endeavors, armed with the designs, I'm sure that Murray could have a field day upgrading the van, like I thought, a frustrated Raven returned and having JUST missed me threw Panda King and his men in jail, ending his "avalanche protective services" and illegal explosives factor, insuring the safety of villages throughout China…my gang and I took some time off and did some shopping in Hong Kong, relaxed and rejuvenated, we returned to Paris to plot our final move, only one more member left and then they're crime will be avenged"
(P.O.V ends)
Rouge finished restoring the second to last book page only for a knock to come at her door
"Come in" Rouge answered, Bentley then came in
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything important" Bentley stated
"Of course not, what's up Bentley" Rouge asked
"Well, while we were desperately trying to warm ourselves up from the near frostbit that we suffered" Bentley started
"I told you to wear your Winter clothing" Rouge said
"Yes, for all my brains I can't remember the most basic of things sometimes, anyway I managed to do a cross scan the metal used in those high-tech, blasting vehicles you've been finding all over the place" Aria said
"And" Rouge asked
"It turns out that this special type of metal can only be found in ONE place, the Krak-Karov volcano in Russia" Bentley said, Rouge hesitated for a second or two
"Then if that's where it came from then" Rouge was about to say
"Then that's GOTTA be where the boss of the Fiendish five is, so, you better get a goodnights rest…your gonna need it for our final target" Bentley told her before Rouge kissed him on the cheek
"Bentley, you are the BEST BRAINY TURTLE" Rouge told him, the turtle blushed before turning away from her
"OH GOSH…just get some sleep, we've got a long ride ahead of us" Bentley told her before he left, leaving Rouge to think
*This is almost over, thank heavens* Rouge said in her mind before she laid on her bed and relaxed, trying to get as much sleep as she could
Alright, alright, alright people the Panda king is down for the count and the big bad himself, Clockwerk is up next
