Boxman had been locked in his workroom for about two hours alone now. Prof. Venomous picked the lock. "Since when did you start locking this door?" He asked with a nervous giggle. He saw that his boyfriend's face was lying flat on his workbench. "Come on, your parents can't be that bad."
He heard Boxman sigh and watch him bring up his head. "My parents always hated the way I made little toys to make up for the fact they made me focus on my studies instead of letting me make friends. They send me letters every few years, saying the same thing. I'm a disgrace to the family by not finding a woman to help bring another blood relative to inherit the family business of steelmaking," he explained before planting his face back on the bench.
"Okay, if you're not comfortable with them knowing right now, how about you just say me and Fink are just renting rooms from you, does that work?"
Boxman shot up from his seat. "I shouldn't have to hide that I'm in love with a man who loves me back."
"I love you too, but it's just for a few days. If I could hide the fact that I was a hero for the last decade or so, you can pretend that you are single, okay?"
Boxman sighed and nodded.
1 Day Later…
Boxman, the bots, and the others were outside of Voxmore waiting an hour early for Boxman's parents to arrive. A long black limo drove into the parking lot. "Here we go," Boxman said as he took a deep breath as a well-dressed driver came out of the front, came around, and opened the door before two even more well-dressed people stepped out. The man was light green-skinned, short, about the size of Boxman, had green slick back hair, and wore a dark blue tux. The woman was slender and tall, about the size of Venomous, had light red puffy hair. She wore a dark crimson strapless dress with a white fur shawl around her light green shoulders. Boxman cleared his throat as he started sweating nervously. "Everyone, this is my father, Jaxon Boxin, and my mother, Lillian Rasen-Boxin," he said gesturing to the two humanoids. "It's so great to see you two again," he said before holding out his bird hand to his father.
Jaxon sneered at him. "You do not call home for over two decades and you expect me to shake your oil and grease-stained freak hand? Honestly, get the bags before we freeze to death," he said in a rather disapproving tone.
Boxman nodded fearfully and went over and opened the trunk. "So, these toys are our 'grandchildren'? Lillian asked gesture to the bots with air quotes.
Boxman hit his head on the trunk's lid. "Ow, yes, Mother," he said before placing the bags on the ground. "This is Darrell, Shannon, Raymond, Jethro, Ernesto, and Mikayla. And this is Professor Venomous and his minion, Fink. They renting space from me for the time being. And that is KO, he is Venomous's son and that is Carol, KO's mother, and his stepfather, Mr. Gar," he said pointing to everyone.
"Of course some of them are heroes. Can't even choose a side in their families," Jaxon said out loud.
"Once again, these powered lot can't even make up their minds. Come now, Llewellyn show us the guest quarters. So we can get this visit over with," Lillian said to Boxman.
"Just need some help." Venomous came over and grabbed two of the bags. "Thanks."
Venomous smiled kindly. "Hurry up!" Lillian screamed at them.
"This is going to be a long holiday," Raymond whispered to his siblings before they went back in.
