Chapter 7 Only the beginning
Rouge took a breath of air in, the first relaxing breath she's had in a while, with the defeat of the mechanical nightmare called Clockwerk he was now lost in her thoughts at the realization of what she did
(Rouge's P.O.V)
"It took some tricky maneuvering, but I managed to snatch that LAST piece of the Book of shadows from Clockwerk's claw…I had taken out every member of the Fiendish five, Raleigh, Muggshot, Mz. Ruby, Panda King and finally, Clockwerk, I had taken them down one by one and reclaimed my birthright, of course, I couldn't have done it without the help of my friends"
Murray and Bentley pulled up in the team van after the fighting had settled down
"I know this hasn't been easy, but they stuck with me through it all, boy, Murray sure earned his keep throughout all this madness, it took a lot of guts for him to get out in the field with me, I know he was scared but he has one of the biggest hearts I've ever seen and Bentley, without his brains I wouldn't have been able to get even REMOTELY close to any of the Fiendish five members, a girl couldn't ask for a BETTER gang of friends"
Then Raven showed up behind Rouge, she looked and saw her sister with handcuffs in her right hand and her pistol in the other
"Ha, ha, and who could forget my dear, sweet sister…I guess we're not gonna be a team anymore…now that Clockwerk's death ray is out of commission, we're back to playing cops and robbers…I thought FOR SURE she was gonna slap the handcuffs on me right then and there…but, she was true to her word and gave me that ten second head start"
Raven pointed her pistol at Rouge and waited for her to make a move
"Ten…nine…eight…seven…six…five…four…three…TWO"
As Raven and Rouge stared at each other, the cop had been fighting something inside of her, she then made a choice that forever changed the connection between her and her sister, she then lowered her weapon
"One"
(End of P.O.V)
The two sisters stared at each other for what felt like hours
"Rouge…I…I don't know what to say but…thank you…for saving my life…and for still seeing me as your sister" Raven said in an honest voice, a voice she hadn't heard form her sister in a long time
"Family always comes first, it was the first lesson that poppa ever taught us, it comes first even before a big score" Rouge replied
"You can leave…but just so you know the next day it's back to what I do best" Raven told her sister
"Then I'm beyond grateful" Rouge said before she hugged Raven who was stunned at first but she then hugged her sister, with tears forming in both of the sister's eyes, this was the FIRST time in so long that the sisters connected or even so much as HUGGED one another since their parents died, they've been at each other throats but even though Raven wouldn't admit it…she sure did miss her sister being at her side, their hug lasted about two minutes before they separated, Raven always did love the hugs she got from her sister and she DEEPLY missed it
"I suspect you'll radio in a chopper to pick you up" Rouge asked
"Yeah, I got a radio handy" Raven answered
"Then I bid you a farewell…for now, my dear sister, until the next time we meet" Rouge her sister but before she was gonna leave, she took one last look at her sister
"By the way…you might wanna have a talk with Mz. Ruby" Rouge said
"Why" Raven asked
"When I went after her, she said some…not so nice things about our dad" Rouge answered
"What KIND of things" Raven asked, when she arrested Mz. Ruby she got this gut feeling that there was something she didn't like about her
"She said…she begged Clockwerk to spare him so she could force him to give her children to continue her legacy" Rouge answered, Raven's eyes showed anger and her hands balled into fists, Rouge could even hear the bones in them popping, now it's true she didn't like her family business but she DID love her parents more than anyone and someone talking shit about her father, she would have some SERIOUSLY harsh words to say to Mz. Ruby and she wouldn't be using words
"Voodoo always made my hair stand on end and I thought she was scum before" Raven said
"And now" Rouge asked
"I'll have to have WORDS WITH HER" Raven answered
"Good…see ya around sis" Rouge replied before slipped away with her team
"Raven, old girl…your boss is probably gonna have your hide cut off you and made into a rug for failing to catch Rouge" Raven told herself, scratching the back of her head
(With Rouge and her gang)
"Come on boys…HOME AWAITS" Rouge told Murray and Bentley
"Sounds fantastic" Bentley said
"You GOT it Rouge" Murray said as the three sped away from the volcano
(Paris, a few nights later at the tip of Eyeful tower)
Rouge had put the Book of shadows back together and it was complete, after so many years of being torn and ripped, she finally put all the pieces back together and while she shared the moment with her team, she wanted some time to herself for a bit, so she went to the one place in all of Paris where she could really think, the top of the Eyeful tower
(Rouge's P.O.V)
"At long last, the Book of shadows was restored to its original state, the first time I held the whole thing in my hands since I was a little girl, the same weight that all mine and Raven's ancestors had felt underneath their arms as they had passed it on, although, while others may have been great thieves, they all inherited the book, I had a once in a lifetime chance to earn it for myself, I had taken down the Fiendish five, using the tools and techniques provided by the book and became a master thief along the way, but now…the time had come for me to chronicle my own adventures into the great book"
Rouge wrote her name into the book, signifying the beginning of her adventures which would one day become history and legend to the next generation of the Bat clan but for now, well, she would do the one thing she loved to do above anything else…get into trouble, she put the book in the inside of her bag, Rouge then looked up to the full moon and smiled, she decided to go full throttle ahead towards any adventures that maybe in store for her and her team, she and they would face them head on

(Meanwhile back in Russia)
Back at the spot where Clockwerk was defeated, suddenly one of his yellow eyes opened, indicating that he wasn't as dead as Rouge and the other's thought he was
(2 weeks later, Rouge's hideout)
It was a lazy morning, that was after Rouge and her crew had JUST stolen a precious jewel from a greedy, private collector last night, Bentley was tinkering with a new invention on his crafting table, Murry was lifting weights on a bench press and Rouge was laying down on the nearby sofa reading through the local newspaper, she was even still in her white and heart studded pajama's, a pink, strapped shirt, her hair wasn't even made, it was wrapped up in hair coils, she was just flipping through the pages until she happened to see the report of the "Heroes" who saved Station square from Chaos
"Hey boys, you see the news about these heroes who saved Station square" Rouge asked
"Yeah, I read about that, Iron man, Supergirl and even the Flash were among the heroes" Bentley said
"I saw it on the news, these hedgehog guys, Dash, he BLEW that creature to kingdom come" Murray added before Rouge eyed the red echidna warrior, Knuckles
"Hmm" Rouge muttered
"What's hmm" Murray asked
"Who's the red echidna" Rouge asked
"Don't know, the reporters got interviews with all but two of the heroes, the gorilla and that echidna, looks like a total brute" Bentley said
"You mean AWESOME-looking" Murray said
"Handsome is the word I would use" Rouge said, making Bentley and Murray look at her, she looked back at them
"WHAT" Rouge asked
"Handsome" Bentley and Murray asked at the same time
"So, sue me I like bad boys, I can't help that" Rouge replied before she felt an unfamiliar presence nearby, she then sat up and looked at the entrance to the hideout
"Uh, boys…we've got company" Rouge said as Bentley and Murray looked where she was looking and saw a woman
"No, no, don't get up on my account" The woman said (This woman is white skinned, blond hair that was styles in twin, braided tails, light blue eyes, similar figure and face type as Cammy White from "Street fighter" but Chun-Li's leg and breast size, she was wearing a dark green leotard with G.U.N on the side of it, thigh-high army combat boots each having three knives in holsters on each side of them, around her waist was a device similar to that of the "Attack on Titan" O.D.M gear, she wore a crimson red, short-sleeved jacket with the G.U.N symbol on the back and under it was a gun holster strap around her upper torso and under each arm was a firearm, on her hands were specially designed gloves with mechanical devices woven into them)
"Nice little hideout you got here, never figured why the Paris police hadn't figured out you and your crew were here Rouge" The woman said
"And just who in the name of hell are you" Murray asked
"And how do you know about Rouge" Bentley asked
"Oh, I know more than that, Rouge the bat, one of the last two surviving members of the Bat clan, the other being your sister, Raven, Inspector Raven which is…kind of awkward considering that your both descendants from a clan of thieves that stretched back to the Pyramids of Egypt" The woman said, Rouge then stood up and walked up to the woman
"Okay, so you know my name, my sister's name and our clan's history…but who are you, how did you find me and WHY are you here" Rouge asked
"Samantha Holmes, codename "Killer Bee" agent of G.U.N" The woman introduced herself, showing her I.D card
"Gun" Murray asked
"A highly professional, military forces, G.U.N or "Guardian units of nations" some of the best men and women from all branches of military make up its members, headed by commander Abraham Tower, founded by the President HIMSELF" Bentley explained
"Smart turtle" Samantha replied
"So, what does an agent of G.U.N want with me, because if you've come looking for trouble" Rouge was about to say
"Relax, other than the fact that you're an S-class, wanted group of thieves I'm not here to arrest anyone, I was charged to find you…and give you this" Samantha said before pulling out an envelop and handing it to Rouge
"What's this" Rouge asked
"Looks like a letter, open it" Samantha said, Rouge opened it and it was a letter, after Rouge opened the letter and read it, her eyes widened, and her ears perked up
"Oh my…God" Rouge muttered
"What is it" Murray asked
"Trouble" Bentley asked
"OH MY GOD" Rouge repeated a little louder
"WHAT IS IT" Bentley and Murray asked at once
"Is this for REAL Samantha" Rouge asked, Samantha nodded with her arms crossed
"Um…boys…we've just been offered a job" Rouge answered
"From who" Murray asked
"From the…THE PRESIDENT" Rouge said, making Bentley and Murray's eyes widen as big as dinner plates
*Why does the PRESIDENT wanna see US* Rouge asked in her mind
