TWD
She walked lightly on her feet, these were her woods, she knew them like the back of her hand. Ronni smelled the rot, then heard the growl then saw the dead corpse that just so happened to be walking. But as soon as she smelled it, Ronni had been ready, having one of her arrows find a home in the left eye of the walker.
She removed the arrow, brushing it off and hearing her boyfriend's voice in her head, You've got one hell of a teacher. He'd say whenever she hit a bullseye. But he was gone now, gone.
Ronni stopped in her tracks, listening. There it was again! A voice. Well, there were definitely two voices. But voices all the same. She walked silently, hiding behind a tree on her way. Ronni saw two people, a man and a women.
". . . Dale wants you back at camp, Amy." The man said. Something about him screamed wannabe.
"You tell Dale to come get me himself. I'm busy." The girl, most likely called Amy, snapped.
The man rolled his eyes, placing his hands on his hips fiercely. "Busy doin' what? Lookin' for edible mushrooms?"
"Yes, and I happened to find some." Her voice had gone up an octave, most likely trying to sound smug. She reached into the blue pale, pulling out a mushroom. It wasn't edible at all, infact, it was poisonous. The girl started raising it to her mouth, Ronni couldn't let her eat it.
Before she could stop herself, she jumped from the trees and smacked the mushroom from the girls hand. "Who the hell are you?!" Amy yelled as the man brought a gun to her head.
"I'm Ronni, and bes' thank me, 'cuz that there mushroom was a Autumn skullcap. Poisonous." Ronni all but snapped.
"I'm Shane, this here is Amy. And she thanks you." The man called Shane shot Amy a quick glance from the corner of his eye.
"Yeah, that's most of my worries sorted." Ronni barked sarcastically.
Amy rolled her eyes but Shane just looked at her, skeptically. "We have a camp. It's safe, we've got people and food." He offers after a minute.
Amy looks at him with wide eyes as if to say, 'Hell on, not this bitch!' "I appreciate your offer sir, but I ain't too good with strangers. 'Specially snotty blonds." Ronni muttered the last part barely audible, but Amy didn't seem to hear.
"Safety in numbers, Ronni, if you don't like it, you can leave. But come check it out."
"I can't."
"Why's that? Not like we gotta go to church."
"I've been lookin' for my family for a while now. I ain't gonna stop till I find 'em. Dead or alive or walkerized." Ronni said solemnly.
"Walkerized?" Amy sneered.
"No shit." Ronni spat back.
"Okay, well at least come for a decent meal." Shane pressed on.
Ronni seemed to think for a minute. "Alrigh', fine."
Shane let a pleased smile cover his face while Amy rolled her eyes. They started back to this supposedly safe camp. Ronni didn't tell them, but she was in it for the food.
If you think I should start this one, review 'Ronni'. Thanks for reading!
