Hello Fanfiction readers! Ashbel Longhart here to bring you a new chapter my story! Sorry I have updated in over two months, my other stories kept me busy. But I'm back and ready to amaze all of you! I just hope I haven't gotten rusty. Cue disclaimer!
(Disclaimer: I do not own Kamen Rider Kuuga or Futari wa Pretty Cure. They both belong to their respective owners. I just own this story and my OC's.)
Last time, Dai and the others went hiking into the mountains to find the Prism Hopeish. They found it, but not after facing Gekidrago for the first time. Not only that, but Dai got really hurt, leaving the girls to take on both the new Dark Zone General and the Grongi. Dai came in however and busted out Titan Form and later the girls asked him for training. How will this turn out? Who knows, but now it's time for Dai to gain Kuuga's Green form, the Pegasus Form! Let's not waste any more time and get going! Chou Henshin!
Ride 7: A Bitter Lacrosse Battle! A Green Pegasus Soars Through the Battlefield! A Maiden's Heart is So Delicate!
(One Year Ago)
"Do I want to go to school?" Dai repeated.
"Yes." Takeshi nodded. "The school year just started not that long and you can't exactly stay cooped up in here. Until we can do something about your situation, I think it would be good for you to go to school. Nagisa will be there too through you two will be in different years."
"What about tuition?" Dai asked. He didn't want to trouble these people more than he had already. He was grateful enough for letting them stay here! Most people wouldn't allow a stranger in their house.
"We can pay for it." Rie said. "We can handle the pay and papers just fine. Don't worry about it."
"But, I don't want to trouble you more than I have." Dai said. "I'm already grateful for letting me stay here and let me have meals with you all."
"It's fine." Takeshi insisted. "It's no trouble at all. You can make friends while you're there. Besides, what would you do here besides help my wife around the house? Kids your age should be in school having fun. So what do you say?"
Takeshi had a point. Dai wouldn't have much to do if he just stayed in the apartment. And having friends did sound good to Dai. He didn't know how long he'll be in this world, but it'll be nice to have friends he could talk to and hang out with. Dai never liked being alone.
"…Okay." Dai said, getting smiles from both the married couple. "What's this school called anyway?"
"It's called Verone Academy."
(One Year Later)
"Haaaaah!" Nagisa cried out as she charged towards Dai, throwing a punch, but Dai easily side stepped it, grabbed her arm, swept her feet, grabbed her gi, and judo flipped her down to the ground. And this was all done in a matter of second.
Another battle cry alert Dai as he turned and blocked a roundhouse kick from Honoka with him arm. Before Honoka could pull back, Dai grabs her leg, pulls her in, and delivers a hammer fist to her gut, sending her down to the ground with a thud, gaping with an, "Oof!"
"Yosh(Alright), I think that's enough for today." Dai said as he relaxes his stance and let the girls catch their breath. If you're all wondering what was going on. Dai was doing the thing he had promised the girls; he was training them.
"Ite(Ow)…" Honoka groaned as she held the place Dai hammer fisted her.
"Was I too hard?" Dai asked, worried that he might have used too much power in that last attack.
"No, I'm fine. Just give me a minute." Honoka said as she and Nagisa took a moment to rest. They were both wearing karate gi's Dai had brought them and had been training like this for the past few days.
'After Pisard was defeated, there was only a short time when we could feel safe, until a new guy came from the Dark Zone.' Nagisa thought as she once again began to think back to the past events. She's starting to think that this'll be a habit from now on. 'Somehow we managed to protect Mepple and Mipple, but I wonder if this new enemy will come back later? Not only that, but those Grongi as Dai-kun calls them are no joke.' She still gets shivers just remembering that monster killing people and Dai being lifted up in a gurney, covered in blood. She was surprised she hasn't run to the bathroom to puke or get any nightmares. She considered that a miracle of some sorts. 'I feel a bit better since the Stone Guardian will protect the important Prism Stones. He even gave us this day planner from the Garden of Light called the Pretty Cure Planner and Dai's recovered since then and has started training us like we asked. Although I didn't expect him to be this rough on us. He said he was being gentle with us, but how was this gentle!?'
"Why are we stopping?" Nagisa asked. Usually, Dai would train them longer than this which would mean that the girls would have been in more pain.
"Nagisa-chan, you have the league tournament tomorrow in case you've forgotten. I can't overwork you like I usually do or else you won't have energy for tomorrow." Dai said as he went over to a bench which held their bags and grabbed two water bottles for the girls. They were all at a park with no one else around. Dai had decided to use this place to train the girls and so far, the girls were making some decent progress. He was lucky that there were no Grongi attacks these past few days, but he knew that would soon change and when it did, he'd be ready for them.
"Eh? You do?" Honoka asked as this was the first time she's heard of this.
"Yeah. Me and my team are playing at the league tournament tomorrow." Nagisa said, excited at the thought. She and her team had worked hard to get to this point. She had honestly almost forgotten with all the training she's been doing. "You don't have to stop on my account. I can still keep going."
"Dame(No)." Dai said, flicking Nagisa's forehead, getting a pained cry as he handed the girls the two water bottles. "It's not good to overwork yourself. You're the team's ace; they're counting on you to be at your best. Besides, a break or two from training never hurt anyone."
"If you say so." Nagisa said before getting up. "Yosh, I'm gonna do my very best tomorrow!"
"We'll be there to cheer you on." Honoka said, getting up as well.
"Thanks! I appreciate it." Nagisa said.
"And if you like, I can bring Shougo to the game." Dai said, getting a blush from Nagisa.
"Please don't do that!" Nagisa said, blushing red as Dai and Honoka laughed.
Tomorrow was the league tournament for Nagisa and her team. Tomorrow would prove eventful, but in more ways than one.
(Insert STRIKE BACK by BACK-ON)
(Instrumental) The song starts as the camera rises up to show the legs of Kuuga before we get a sudden screen shot of Cure Black and Cure White before go back to Kuuga. Just as the camera is at the Arcle, we get a sudden shot of Mepple and Mipple before the camera gets to his chest. We then get another sudden shot of The PreCure cards surrounding Gouram before we go back to Kuuga whos's back was facing the camera. He then suddenly turns around and punches the screen, cracking it as the title appears.
(Kidou sura kaerarenai kurai no kakuritsu da to shite mo) We now see Nagisa playing lacrosse with her team, catching a ball as Mepple is seen sleeping from Nagisa's bag.
(IPAASENTO demo areba mochiron teikou desho?) We then see Honoka with the members of the science club, doing an experiment that ended in an explosion as Mipple just giggles at the scene.
(Shosen, "unmei" to nagetsukerareta tte, No I won't!) We go to the city where police are examining a dead body. Ryō looks at the body before he walks away and gets out his phone, calling Dai.
(Hikkuri kaeshite, Because datte kimi to mirai wo miretara saikou janai?) Dai, riding on the TryChaser 2000, gets the call from his radio and speeds up, passing both Nagisa and Honoka as he races to meet up with Ryō.
(Bring it on! 'Cuz I'm just gonna grow up in the battle HEY! buchinuku donten!) Suddenly, the sky turns dark before the Dark King and his subordinates appears as well as an army of Zakenna appeared. Appearing with him was a shadow figure of N-Daguva-Zeba along with an army of Grongi.
(Still burning my fire ten wo kirsaku raimei I gotta kakikesu Nightmare tada mirai ga mitakute!) Nagisa and Honoka step in fear before Dai suddenly appeared behind them and gave them his signature smile and a thumbs up.
(Kako, mirai, soshite ikiteru ima, I ain't scared of my past and now for takusareta asu) Seeing his smile seemed to steel the girl's resolve as they took out the Queen PreCure and Dai summoned the Arcle belt.
(Screaming out for my pride!) A light then suddenly appears and appearing from it was Kamen Rider Kuuga along with Cure Black and Cure White, ready for battle.
(Namida mitakunai kara, sakebi tsudzukeru yo! Zutto...) Cure Black and Cure White engage a battle with some Zakenna before taking on Pisard, IIkubo, Poisony, Kiriya, and Gekidrago.
(I'm never falling down! oi kaze wo se ni fukitobasu Destiny!) Both sides trade blows for a bit before both girls held hands and fired their signature Marble Screw.
(Kono senaka ni aru, egao mamoritai kara! Zutto...) We see Kuuga kicking way a few Grongi, bashes them with the Dragon Rod while in his Dragon form, shoots a flying Grongi with his Pegasus Bowgun in his Pegasus form, slash a few more Grongi with his Titan Sword in his Titan form.
(I gotta blast off your pain for you and me! kanashimi nante Rest in peace!) Dai and the girls meet regroup as they face both the Dark King and N-Daguva-Zeba. Dai charges up a Mighty Kick before he jumps.
(Nando demo...) The girl then threw another Marble Screw as Dai kicks towards the two beings of darkness with the Marble Screw following close behind him before a light overtakes everything and we see a quick look at the blue sky before the song ends.
(Nighttime)
It was the late of night and all was quiet. A truck driver drove by and stopped by some warehouses, having just come back from a late night delivery and was ready to put the truck back in its housing and call it a night. At least, that was the plan. When the driver came to a stop, he saw that one of the warehouses' garages was slightly open as dim lights were seen inside. Confused, the driver turned off his struck and grabbed a flashlight. Getting out of the truck, the man went through the opening and turned on his flashlight as the pace was dimly lit and was hard to see.
Listening closely, the man could hear the faint sound of a radio being messed with.
"What is this?" Then, the man heard talking, but he didn't recognize the language.
"The Linto's call this a Ra…di…o." Another voice said as it sounded like it was struggling to say that last part.
Then, after a while, the man heard voices from what he guessed was form the radio.
-After a series of killing, the police have officially announced that the Unidentified Lifeforms are not human.-
"Hmph. Hear that? Un-i-den-ti-fied Li-fe-fo-rms."
"Who are they?"
"They're talking about us."
"Is someone there?" The man called out. He would soon come to regret this as shadows all around him moved, scaring him before one shadow went towards him. The man tried to run, but he was grabbed from behind and pulled into the shadows, screaming for help, but no one would come.
(The Next Day)
The bubbling sounds of something boiling with the faint smell of something delicious filled the kitchen as Dai was stirring a pot of curry. He took a spoon and tasted it, testing the taste and smiled in satisfaction.
"Yosh, this should be good." Dai said as he looked to see if the rice was done cooking. Takeshi was out at work while Rie was out with Ryota doing some groceries so he had the kitchen to himself. While he was cooking, Nagisa came down , yawning. Dai saw her and greeted her, "Ohayō, Nagisa-chan."
"Ohayō, Dai-kun." Nagisa said, still half asleep until the smell of Dai's curry. "Whoa, something smells good!"
"I'm cooking curry." Dai said as he opened the rook cooker and scooped some rice onto a place before going over to the pot and pouring some curry over the ride before presenting it to Nagisa. "Eat up."
"Oowah! This looks delicious! Itadakimasu!" Nagisa said, smiling as she dug in. "Mmm! Oishii(This is good)! I don't know how you do it, Dai-kun, but your cooking is better than Okaa-san's!"
"Why thank you." Dai said, smiling with pride as he took off his apron. "It's one of my many skills!"
"You don't normally cook. What's the occasion?" Nagisa asked.
"Oh you know why. You're gonna need all the energy you can get today for the tournament." Dai said as he got a plate for himself. "By the way, I invited Shougo over to the game."
Nagisa instantly started choking the second she heard that news. Quickly and knowing Nagisa would react like this, Dai went and handed her a glass of water which she quickly chugged and gasped, breathing for air for a moment before saying, "You what!?"
"Yeah. I ask if he wanted to come and he said yes." Dai said, eating some curry before speaking again. "He should be coming with Honoka so expect them to be together when you see them."
"I thought I told you to not bring him!" Nagisa said. How could she concentrate on the game when the guy she was crushing on was there in the stands watching her?
"But Nagisa-chan, if you and the team win this, then you'll impress Shougo which might make him become interested in you." Dai said as Nagisa became as red as a tomato at the thought. "Besides, I already invited him. Can't take it back now so you'll just have to deal with it."
"Arienai…" Nagisa said.
"Hey, I'm doing this for you." Dai said when he saw the time on the clock. "Ah, yabai. I gotta go." He finishes his plate quickly, turns of the stove, takes his apron off, and runs to the door.
"Where are you going?" Nagisa asked, wondering why Dai was in such a rush.
"Gomen, Nagisa-chan, but I have to be somewhere so I might be late to the game." Dai said before he ran out the door.
"Oi! Chotto matte(Wait a minute)!" Nagisa said, but Dai was already gone. Nagisa just stands there and sigh. "Why am I even surprised? He's always like this." At least he was coming to the game albeit a bit late. She would be upset if he wouldn't be there for her.
"Well, I better finish eating." Like Dai said, she was gonna need all the energy she could get for today's game.
(With Ryō)
Once again, Ryō found himself in a meeting discussing what to do about the Unidentified Lifeforms. He didn't know how many times he's been in this meeting room, but he wasn't complaining. Each meeting discussed different strategies on how to combat the Unidentified Lifeforms.
"With our investigation up to now, we've confirmed that the Unidentified Lifeforms are gathering at one location." Chief of Police and leader of the task force in charge of combating the Unidentified Lifeforms, Hiwagawa began the meeting. "In other words, they have a place of operations. Ichijo, the report."
"Hai." Ryō said, getting up. "As we all know, although they can take on the appearance of humans, somewhere on their body would be a distinguishing tattoo. Since their frequent activity in this city, they have commonly been sighted as there eight locations." Ryō gestured to one of the men who turned on the screen, displaying a map of the city with eight locations marked. "These locations are where many of the Unidentified Lifeforms battled. If they are indeed acting as a group, there is a possibility that they are operating from any of these locations. What worries us however is that if too many people become aware of their location, they may move somewhere else."
"But they have so much power. Why would they need to run away?" Rai asked.
"Presently, that is the greatest mystery." Ryō said.
"So far, we have encountered fourteen Unidentified Lifeforms, but so far, the victim count is two hundred and sixty nine including officers." Hiwagawa said "We can't wait and allow more victims. No matter what, we must find their hideout and with our own power, wipe them all out!" Everyone nodded in agreement. This special force was made up of people who all take their job seriously. They all knew the risk, but they would die protecting the peace of the people.
"Shimazaki." Hiwagawa addressed one the people here.
"Sir." One of the men at the table stood up and introduced himself. "I'm Shimazaki from the Police Dog Handling Unit. To assist in dealing with the Unidentified Lifeforms issue, me department has provided a few police dogs to help. After a month of training, a few out of the thirty one dogs can now detect the special pheromone that the Unidentified Lifeforms emit.
Hiwagawa nodded before turning to one of the other men here, a man named Hiroshi Sakurai. Hiroshi was a fairly young man, probably the same age as Ryō. He had a comb over hairstyle as like most of the men here, wore a detective suit. Like everyone here, he was determined to fight the Unidentified Lifeforms.
"Sakurai."
"Sir." Hiroshi looked up from his notes and paid attention.
"I'll leave you to continue investigating with the help of the police dogs now." Hiwagawa said. "Recently, the eye witness reports have been concentrated around the Shinagawa, Oota, and Meguro areas.
"Wakarimashita(I understand)." Hiroshi nodded.
"Finally, if you discover the hideout then please report immediately to headquarters." Hiwagawa said as Ryō was handed a briefcase by one of the men. Seeing the case, everyone turned to the man as he stood up, pushed his glasses up before speaking.
"It's been noted in this report by Enokida-san from the Research Institute." Ryō said, holding up the report for everyone to see as they all took out their copies that had been passed out earlier. "After analysis of the remains of No.6, they have created special smoke bombs that may contain the Unidentified Lifeforms." Ryō opened the case and took out one of the smokes bombs, instructing everyone how to use them. "If you release their safety switches, it will explode and release the smoke."
"We have to use stuff like this?" Hiroshi asked, picking one of the smoke bombs from the case. Tactics like this were usually used by the military.
"But whether this will work or not on any of them can't be certain until we test it on the field." Ryō added as he took back the bomb Hiroshi took and placed the bombs back in the case, closing it.
"Our search must include every possible street corner and alley." Hiwagawa said. "Everyone, please continue the search until the hideout of the Unidentified Lifeforms is discovered."
"Yes, sir!" Every man said.
"Meet adjourned." Hiwagawa said as each man left the room one by one.
"So we're resorting to using things like smoke bombs." Rai said as he walked with Ryō. "Stuff like this is usually done by people of the military."
"If we want a fighting chance against the Unidentified Lifeforms, we'll have to use every tactic we can use." Ryō said when a police officer ran up to them
"Ichijo-san! Rai-san! We have orders to move out!"
"Is it another Unidentified Lifeform?" Ryō asked and the officer nodded.
"Ikuzo." Rai said as Ryō nodded and the three hurried off.
(League Tournament Stadium)
The skies were filled with very little clouds, the temperature was just right, the weather was great, and the stadium was filled with excitement as the game was about to begin. Students of Verone Academy cheered for their team with a banner up saying: 'Certain Victory! Verone Academy!' On the other side of the stadium was the school they were playing again, Otagaku Girls Junior High School with banners saying things like 'Go for it!'
"Today, we will win!" The captain of the lacrosse team, Yumiko said to the rest of the team to get them pumped. "If we win this game, we're one step closer to the finals. Got it?"
"Yeah!" They all cried out as one. They had all worked hard to be here and they were still gonna keep on working until they made it to the finals.
"Defeat Otagaku Junior High!"
"Yeah!"
"Certain Victory!"
"Yeah!"
"Ikuzo(Let's go)!"
"YEAH~!" They all shouted, raising their lacrosse sticks, now pumped up.
"I truly hope that will happen." The girls turn to see who had said that who turned out to be the Vice Principal.
"Kyoto-sensei(Vice Principal)?"
"As you well know, in many respects Otagaku Junior High has been Verone Academy's rival since long ago." The Vice Principal said. "It is not acceptable to be beaten by them, either in academics or sports. Got it everyone? You must win no matter what."
"Hai…" The girls replied, feeling less pumped than they were seconds ago before the referee blew her whistle, signaling that the game was soon to begin.
"Nagisa-senpai!"
"Ready Set, Nagisa-senpai! Fight!" The girls in the stands cheered down to Nagisa.
"You know, the way the Vice Principal talks to us really gets on my nerves." Rina said.
"Yeah it sure does." Shiho said.
"Don't worry about him, let's just play like we usually do." Nagisa said as she tapped her friends' lacrosse sticks before looking up to the stands and smiled when she spotted Honoka. "Ah, there she is! Yukishiro-san!"
Honoka saw her friend waving at her and waved back before noticing her other friend. "Shougo!"
"Yo!" Shougo greeted as he took a seat next to Honoka. "Where's Dai? He invited me so I expected him to be here with you."
"He called saying he had something to do and would be late." Honoka said, having gotten a call from him earlier.
"Ah, there he is." Nagisa said to herself once she saw Shougo. Good thing Dai told that the two were child hood friends or else she would have mistaken them as a couple or something. Still didn't help her calm down as she knew Shougo would be watching her. "Damn that Dai-kun. I'll get him back for this." She then shook her head, shaking off any distraction. She had to concentrate if she wanted to win this game.
"You've already met Misumi-san before." Honoka said. "She's the Lacrosse Team's ace."
"Just a second year and already the top player, that's great." Shougo said, impressed. She was like Dai who was the ace player in their team during their second year last year. He still was their ace even today.
"She's really good at sport." Honoka said.
"That's an unusual type of friend for you, Honoka." Shougo said. Why hadn't Dai talked about this girl more often? She sounded amazing.
"Friend?" Honoka repeated in confusion before smiling at the sound of that. "Yes. If you say friend, I guess she's my friend. But it's more like a mysterious relationship."
"Huh?" Shougo looked at her in confusion as Honoka just laughed.
Soon, the whistle blew, the ball flew, and the game began.
(Dark Zone)
Thunder raged everywhere as the Dark King looked down upon Gekidrago, not the least bit pleased with his subordinate's failure.
"Look at what you have done!" The Dark King's voice echoed everywhere as Gekidrago looked down, unable to look up at his ruler in shame and in fear.
"Not only could you not take the Prism Stones from them, but now the Prism Stone which Pisard had is gone as well. They are the ones who threaten our eternal existence. You cannot look down on their power, especially the one known as Kuuga. You may have not have needed to fight him, but his powers grow with every battle. I will give you another chance, but you will get no assistance from the Grongi. Think of ways to use the Zakenna. Do you understand, Gekirdrago?"
"Oga…" Was Gekidrago's only reply.
"Then get to it!" Thunder boomed again in sync with the Dark King's voice as Gekidrago took his leave immediately.
(With Dai)
"Thanks for doing this for me, Tsubaki-san." Dai said as he walked with this word's version of Tsubaki Shuichi, Tsubaki Mizore.
"It's no problem. You're always so interesting to look at." Mizore said, eating a lollipop again. This time it was orange. "It's only been a few days, but your wounds have already healed. Normal men would be hospitalized for months with the kind of wounds you sustained."
"What can I say? I'm a fast healer." Dai said. Being Kuuga or No.4 as called by the police, Mizore was his personal doctor as she was trusted by Ryō to keep his secret safe. He had come by for a medical checkup to see how his wounds from his previous fight with Giiga. This was the reason why he was late for Nagisa's game.
"Looks like the changes to your body have accelerated your healing." Mizore said as they made it outside at the doorsteps of the hospital building. "I wonder what else that body of yours can do."
"Who knows?" Dai said before waving goodbye and headed to the parking lot. If he hurried now, he could still make it to the first game.
*RING!*
At least, that was his plan, until his phone started to ring. Dai quickly took his phone out and answered the call.
"This is Dai."
-Ichi-kun, it's Ryō.-
"Is it another Grongi?"
-Hai. Meet me at the Police Department. We'll talk there.-
The call ended there. Dai put his phone away and sighed. Looks like he won't be making it to Nagisa's game. He'll have to apologize later. But right now, this needed his attention.
(Later)
"Sorry to call you over but we need to move fast!" Ryō said as he and Dai walked through the halls of the building.
"I understand." Dai said, having just arrived a few minutes ago. "So, what are we dealing with?"
"I don't know yet. Apparently, something went through the victim's head, pierced the heart, and came out the body in a perfect vertical angle from head down to the toe."
"A perfect angle…" Dai repeated and had a hunch on who today's Grongi was.
"By the way, Ichi Dai, can you transform again to jump higher?" Ryō asked as he had seen Dai use his Dragon Form against a previous Grongi. He thinks it was No.12 when he first saw it.
"I can if I must." Dai said. "By the way, where are we going?"
"We're seeing another old friend of mine." Ryō said before they stopped at a room and entered. "Enokida-san."
'Wait, Enokida? Isn't that…' Dai looked past Ryō and saw a man working on something on his computer. Turning around, Dai got a good look at the man. He seemed to be just a few years older than Ryō as his hair was a complete mess, even messier than Dai's hair. He wore a pair of square rimmed glasses and wore a lab coat over a black shirt and khakis.
"Oh! Well if it isn't my little kohai." The man said as he got up. "It's been a long time, Ryō."
"Indeed." Ryō said as Dai looked around. There were other decks with piles of paper and folders around. The place was quite messy. "Still lazy when it comes to tidying up around here."
"Ah, who has time for that?" The man said before he took a real close look at Ryō's face.
"Is there something on my face?" Ryō asked, leaning back a bit.
"Your face…Have you found someone you like?"
Ryō's mind wondered back to Akane before he quickly shook his head and said, "No, you're mistaken."
"You shook your head." The man smiled teasingly before finally noticing Dai. "Who's this?"
"Oh! I'm Dai, Ichi Dai. Nice to meet you." Dai introduced himself. "And you are?"
"This is Enkida Sayuru." Ryō introduced the man to Dai. "He was my Senpai during High School."
"I still am no matter what you say." The now named Enokida Sayuru said, grabbing Ryō into a neck hold.
"Oi! Hanase(Let go)!" Ryō demanded as he struggled to get free.
'No way. He has the same name as Enokida Hikari's son!' Dai thought with wide eyes. Was this this world's version of Enokida Hikari? 'But, it's her son so does that mean…?' Dai was getting a headache just thinking about this. He was gonna stop thinking about it and focus on the task at hand.
"Would you stop and tell us the analysis report!" Ryō shouted out angrily. He always hated when Sayuru would do this to him.
"Oh, right." Sayuru released Ryō and picked something up from his deck. It was a needle and a pretty big one at that. "Look at this."
"Wow! That's a huge needle!" Dai said as he went to touch it, but his hand was slapped away. Now he knows which Grongi he needed to deal with.
"We extracted this from the asphalt." Sayuru said as Dai went to try and touch it again, but he slapped his hand away and gave the needle in the bag to Ryō to look at. He then went to his computer and gestured them over to it. "We compared this needle with anything we know and found out that the needle is similar to-"
"A Bee's Stinger, right?" Dai said before Sayuru, making both adults look at him.
"Correct. How did you know that?" Sayuru asked, looking at Dai in suspicion.
"There's a reason why he's here with me." Ryō said. "He's an expert on the Unidentified Lifeform. He has info that is very vital."
"Is that so?" Sayuru said before going back to his report. "Yes, the needle is similar to the stinger of a bee. I haven't seen the detailed report yet but the victim died from going into immediate anaphylactic shock. Meaning that the enemy Unidentified Lifeform has the abilities of a bee."
"I see." Ryō said when suddenly, his phone. He quickly picked it up and answered it. "Ryō here."
-Ryō, its Rai. Things aren't looking good.-
"What do you mean?"
-More victims have popped up over the past hour!-
"Nani!?" Ryō said.
-Is there a map near you? I'll tell you the place and time of death.-
"Hold on." Ryō said before going over to a map on the wall of the room. He quickly asked Sayuru if he could use it and he nodded. Dai went over to Ryō as he started parking locations one by one. "…Afternoon, 0022, Kikatu, Akibane 1st. Damn, it's moving between locations so quickly!"
-You got everything down? Then I'm going back to check if Hiroshi's located the Unidentified Lifeforms' location yet.-
"I understand. Get to it." Ryō said before ending the call.
"Ichijo-san, do you see it?" Dai asked as he looked at the locations that were marked on the map. "The place and time of each attack."
"Yeah." Ryō said as he connected each mark and got a spiral.
"Each attack is happening every 15 minutes and is moving in a spiral." Dai said.
"Which means the next attack is going to happen around here." Ryō said, circling the small area.
"We need to go." Dai said.
"Right." Ryō nodded before he and the Rider ran out of the room.
"Careful out there!" Sayuru called out to them as the two ran down the hall.
(With Hiroshi)
Hiroshi, as instructed, was assisting Shimazaki in his search for the Unidentified Lifeforms' location. The two men were currently following one of Shimazaki's dogs.
"I've never seen him this excited. He must have picked up on something." Shimazaki said, making sure to hold onto his dog's leash lest he run off.
*BEEP!*
"Sakurai here." Hiroshi picked up his communicator as he ran with Shimazaki.
-This is Rai. We have a situation. Can you help?-
"Afraid I can't. Shimazaki's dog picked up on something." Hiroshi said.
Suddenly, Shimazaki's dog started to run faster.
"They're probably near here!" Shimazaki said as they turned a corner.
"Yosh! I'll call back once we find something." Hirsohi said before he ended the call. "Ikuzo!"
(Somewhere Else)
*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ~!*
Cars and trucks drove on by, not knowing the danger in the skies.
*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ~!*
Men, Women, and Children all walk amongst each other, not knowing the weapon pointed at them from up above.
*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ~!*
And amongst everything was one unlucky soul, just mind his own business, not knowing the eyes that gazed down upon from above, the weapon pointed at him, the danger that he was in, until it was all too late.
*THOOM!*
The man's eyes widen, the bags he was carrying were dropped as his body fell to the floor, lifeless. The man was dead and that cause was dug right into the ground next to him.
Then, the being responsible for the man's death landed. Its skin was dirt brown; its ankles were wrapped in bindings as well as his left arm while the right arm was the weapon of murder. Cloth covered his lower region as a net vest covered his chest. While his body was that of man, his head was that of a bee along with wings producing from his back. This was the Bee Grongi, Me-Badjisu-Ba.
Badjisu smiled at his new kill, quickly pushing down one prong on his bracelet to count his kill. He'll have to wait another fifteen minutes until he could kill again, but he could wait. Like a saying he had overheard from the people, slow and steady wins the race.
*BANG!*
Suddenly, a gun was fired, and the bullet struck his bracelet, making it fall from his arm as he jumped in surprise and quickly turned to see who had done it. The culprit was none other than Ryō who had his gun pointed at the Grongi while Dai soon appeared on his Trychaser and got off, throwing his helmet aside as he quickly summoned his belt and did the hand motions.
"Henshin!" In the usual sounds of pulses, Dai donned his Kuuga armor as the belt responded to his feelings to fight and donned him in his Mighty Armor.
"Kuuga!" Badjisu said in surprise. He had expected to meet the being getting in the way of the Gegeru. While he was pissed that his bracelet fell, this right now was much more important.
Dai jumped towards the Grongi with a flying kick with the intention of not letting the Grongi have the first attack. Badjisu dodged the kick and swung his hand towards the Rider to hit his head, but Dai turned around and blocked the attack, grabbed the arm before kneeing the Grongi in the stomach to make it bend over before Dai punched his face. Badjisu endured the pain with some effort, got his arm free before kicking Dai away to gain some room before he ran. Dai recovered from the kick and quickly chased after the Grongi. Dai was fast on his feet and quickly caught up to the Grongi who turned around only to be met with a flying punch to the face that made him reel back. Dai went for another attack, but Badjisu managed to move out of the way and went to grab the Rider from behind but was forced back by a surprise back kick. Turning around, Dai decided to switch styles and got into a different stance. Before Badjisu could even see him coming, he rushed in and punched his stomach hard, making him bend over in pain as with the same fist, Dai punched upward, throwing an uppercut. Badjisu tried to stop and block the attack, but it slipped through his defense and struck his chin, snapping his head up. Dai then delivered an elbow strike followed by another elbow strike and then finished with a shoulder rush, sending Badjisu back.
Badjisu skidded across the floor before he stops himself and growled in anger. This Kuuga was much better than he had expected. He looked at his right arm and saw his stinger starting to grow back. Good, Bagjisu was a sniper; he was not accustomed to close combat. Seeing as this Kuuga seem to excel in close combat, Badjisu spread his wings and took to the air.
"Catch you around, Kuuga!"
"Trying to run!?" Dai said as he gave chase. "Chou Henshin!" His belt pulse and responded to this thoughts, changing his armor into his Dragon Form. Now blue, Dai concentrated his power to his feet and jumped high into the air. Ryō saw him jump and ran after him, wanting to assist in any way he can. He first needed to find a way to get up and the only possible way right now was through the stairs. He better start climbing.
Thanks to Dragon Form's jumping ability, Dai easily made it to the top floor as he landed safely and looked up into the air. Nothing. Then what about around him?
*bzzzzz!*
'He's near.' Dai thought as he kept his senses wide.
*bzzzzz!*
Quickly, Dai turned around, but not fast enough as he was punched in the face, thrown back. Badjjisu laughed as Dai quickly got back to his feet and took a stance. He gave a quick look around for anything he could use to transform into the Dragon Rod, but found nothing. Not good.
"What's wrong? Come at me?" Badjisu said, feeling confident.
"Fine then. You asked for it!" If he had no weapon, then he would have to switch styles to compensate. Since his kicks had more power than his punches, he'll switch to kicking.
Dai led with a front kick that forced the Bee Grongi back before delivering a roundhouse kick which Badjisu backed away from. Dai then tried to surprise him with a hook or heel kick which was extending the leg out to the side of the body and hooking the leg back to strike the head with either the heel or sole, but Badjisu took to the air before Dai's kick could get anywhere near him.
"Damn…" Dai once again concentrated, extending his sense out to hear for the Grongi. What he didn't know what that the belt responded to his actions of wanting to extend his thoughts and began to change Dai.
*bzzzzzzzz!*
Dai turned around only to be palm strike across the chest, sending him off the roof. Quickly, he grabbed the edge of the building before he could fall off. That's when his belt began to pulse and his armor changed.
His chest armor was now green, his gauntlets were green as well as one shoulder guard appeared over his left shoulder and an arm band was wrapped around his right arm. Finally, his eyes turned green, completing the transformation.
"I turned green! Kuuga's Pegasus form!" Dai said in surprise, not expecting to turn into Kuuga's green form suddenly.
But then…
*VROOM!*
*HONK-HONK!*
*RUFF-RUFF!*
*BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!*
*RATATATATATATATATATATATATATA!*
"Gah!" Noises from all over filled his ears and his vision started to see things to quickly and from afar. It was like someone placed a speaker next to him at max volume while sticking binoculars in his eyes without letting him blink for a second.
*MEOW!*
*BOOM!*
*BAM!*
*POW!*
*RUMBLE-RUMBLE-RUMBLE!*
*HONK-HONK-HONK!*
*CAW-CAW!*
*VROOM!*
Dai gritted his teeth, trying to endure, but he knew he wouldn't last long. His vision started to swim and he felt his grip on the edge was loosening. Ryō who was half way up the building saw Dai in pain and yelled over to him, "Ichi-kun! What's wrong?"
"Gah!" Dai winced in pain as to him, it felt like Ryō had shouted right next to his ear being amplified by amplifiers. It wasn't a pleasant feeling.
Badjisu walked over to the edge and looked down at Dai who was still trying to fight off the noises, but it wouldn't work.
"What's wrong, Kuuga? You don't look so hot?" Dai was in too much distress to respond as all he gave out were painful grunts. "Well, looks like this is where we part. "With Dai being unable to do anything, Badjisu took this chance to kick Dai's head, making him lose his grip as he fell down.
"Ichi-kun!" Quickly, Ryō turned around and ran down the stairs as Dai hit the ground with a thud, but to the Rider, it felt like he had crashed. Finally, Ryō made it down and went over to his side. "Ichi-kun! What's wrong?"
"Th-The noises! M-Ma-Make them stop!" Dai gritted out as he held where his ears would be on his helmet, but no matter what he did, he could not block put the sounds.
Badjisu, looking down at the two, laughed before checking his stinger. It was halfway done, but without his bracelet, he wouldn't be able to continue. As much as he didn't want to, he'll have to get a new one and start over. With that in mind, he spreads his wings and flew off.
Ryō heard the Grongi take off, but Dai needed his attention right now.
"Ichi-kun, get a hold of yourself!"
Dai could only respond in pained grunts before something inside of him felt drained. In an instant, his armor went from green to white and he fell down, unconscious as his armor disappeared.
"Ichi-kun? Hey, get a hold of yourself! Ichi-kun!" Ryō tried to wake the boy up, but he wouldn't open his eyes. Cursing to himself, Ryō got out his phone and called for help.
(With the girls)
The field was, metaphorically, on fire! Both teams were at their bests, passing the ball to the right players before the ball found itself on each goal, earning points for both teams. Both teams were exhausted, but they refused to give up. Even if both teams would get a second chance if either of them lost, both teams treated this game like it would be their one and only to get to the finals.
"This is intense; both teams are really giving it their all." Shougo said as he was engrossed in the game. "And you were right about your friend being the ace of her team, she's really good."
"She is, isn't she?" Honoka said with a smile. She knew her friend was good, but not this good.
"Still…" Shougo looked around, but spotted no sign of Dai. "It's the last game. You think Dai would be here by now."
"You're right. He promised he'd be here." Honoka said. In the year that she got to know Dai, she knew that Dai was never one to break a promise unless it was because of a really, and she meant really good explanation.
Suddenly, her phone started to ring. Dai had suggested that she and Nagisa get phones in case a situation where they were attacked and weren't with each other would occur like what happened with her and Pisard and her Grandmother was kind enough to give her a phone. It was an old one, but it got the job done.
She took it out and answered it. "Hello?"
-Yukishiro-san? It's Ryō.-
"Is something the matter? You sound distressed." Honoka said as she made sure that she appeared to be talking normally. Shougo couldn't know that she knew someone from the police.
-Well…-
"…EH!?"
"Is something wrong?" Shougo asked, surprised at her cry before she suddenly got up and ran down the stands. "Oi! Honoka!"
'Man! This is intense!' Nagisa thought as she caught the ball and started to run with it, instantly getting two players tailing her. She had to be admit, for two tired players, they were still pretty fast. Then again, she was on the same boat. But they were unable to stop her as she jumped into the air and swung her lacrosse stick, sending thebball flying and into the enemy goal, scaring another point for her team.
"Yosh!" Nagisa said, smiling. If they kept this up, they were sure to win.
"Misumi-san!" Suddenly, a familiar voice yelled over the crowd and Nagisa turned to see Honoka waving at her, her face looking distressed.
"Yukishiro-san?" What's got her looking so distressed? Now that she looked, where was Dai? He had promised to be here for her.
"It's Ichi-kun!" And just like that, all of Nagisa's excitement and energy all fell to the pit of her gut as judging by how distressed Honoka looked, she knew something was wrong and it involved Dai. And that alone was enough for her to shout out to the referee.
"Time-Out! Time-Out!" Nagisa shouted as the referee heard her and blew her whistle, stopping the game, leaving every player in confusion.
"Nagisa, what are you doing? We're winning!" Yumiko said. Nagisa didn't answer her as she practically shoved her lacrosse stick to her before running off. "Nagisa, wait! Where are you going!? Nagisa!"
(Hospital)
Both girls rushed into the hospital with Shougo following close behind. The girls had tried to persuade that he should stay and watch the game, but Nagisa let it slip that something had happened to Dai and at that did he demand what had happened and here they were at the hospital where Ryō was waiting for them.
"Ichijo-kun!" Nagisa was the first to call up to the man. "What happened to Dai!? Is he alright!?"
'She's not using honorifics again.' Honoka noticed. Back in the forest, Nagisa didn't use honorifics when she addressed Dai after his battle in Titan for the first time. She must be really worried about the Rider. Then again, after what happened last time Dai fought, Honoka couldn't blame her for being that worried. She was too.
Before Ryō could answer them, he took notice of Shougo and asked, "Who's he?"
"I'm a friend of Dai's." Shougo said. "What happened to him? Is he hurt?"
Ryō spared a glance towards the girls who gave him apologetic looks before he said, "Follow me."
The three did as told and followed Ryō through the halls of the hospital, getting in an elevator and going up to the fourth floor. They exited the elevator and walked down the hall until they stopped at a room and before Ryō could grab the handle, Nagisa beat him to it as she and Honoka were the first to enter.
"Dai/Ichi-kun!" Both girls cried out loudly, but then suddenly stopped. The reason being was because the man in question was real close to Mizore looking at something on a computer.
"Hm?" Hearing his name, Dai turned and was surprised to see the girls. "Ah! Girls, what are you doing here?"
Nagisa was the first one to recover surprisingly and said, "We came here because we heard something had happened to you!"
Honoka soon recovered as well and said, "Are you alright? Were you hurt?"
"Me? I'm fine." Dai said until he saw Shougo at the door. "Shougo! What are you doing here?"
"I came here with the girls when I heard something happened to you." Shougo said. "Don't tell me…"
'Uh oh!' Both girls and Ryō all thought as they thought that the secret was out.
"You got into another fight, didn't you?" Shougo said.
'Ah! We can ex…wait another?" Nagisa stopped herself when she noticed that word in Shougo's sentence.
"Heh, guilty as charge." Dai said, smiling as he rubbed his head. "Some guys were picking on these two girls so I had to step in and help. They got a few lucky punches in, but I'm fine."
Shougo sighs. "And here I thought it was something serious."
"Wait, what do you mean Ichi-kun got into another fight?" Honoka asked her childhood friend.
"As I'm sure you already know, Dai here can't keep his nose to himself when there's trouble." Shougo said as everyone nodded in agreement. "When he sees trouble, he jumps in and often gets into fights. Heck, he even once dragged me and the team into one of his fights. That was the first time I ever threw a punch at someone."
"Those guys were after me. I didn't mean to get you guys involved." Dai said.
"Those guys were bullying one of our teammates. Besides, that was a year ago. No harm done." Shougo said, patting Dai's shoulder before taking his leave. "By the way, I'm glad you invited me over to the game today. It was really intense." Dai threw a look towards Nagisa and gave her thumbs up, getting an embarrassed blush from her. "But next time, try and show up for her game. And remember, we have our own game coming up."
"Don't worry, I know." Dai said as Shougo bowed to the adults in the room and took his leave.
"…You get into fights?" Nagisa asked once Shougo was gone.
"Yeah, from time to time." Dai said. "It usually happens when I'm trying to help someone."
"Why am I not surprised?" Nagisa said with a sigh. As always, whenever there was trouble, Dai would be there.
"In any case, are you really alright?" Honoka asked.
"I'm more than alright. I'm awesome!" Dai said with a smile that kind of surprised the girls. "My armor turned green this time! I could hear so many things and see so far! Granted it caused me a lot of pain, but it was still awesome!"
"You're still as exciting as ever." Mizore commented, eating a cheery lollipop this time.
"Am I?" Dai said.
"Uh, who is she?" Honoka asked.
"Oh, right. This is the first time you've met." Dai said as he began introductions. "Girls, this is Tsubaki Mizore-san. She's my personal doctor. Mizore-san, these are my friends, Nagisa-chan and Honoka-chan."
"I've herd of you two from Dai. Misumi Nagisa and Yukishiro Honoka, right?" Mizore said, ppinting her lollipop at the girls in question.
"Uh, yes." Nagisa said before turning to Dai. "When did you get a personal doctor and why?"
"It's because of me." Ryō said, cleaning his glasses before putting them back on. "With Ichi-kun labeled as No.4 by the police, I needed someone who could keep a secret about his identity in case he needed a medical checkup. Tsubaki here is an old friend of mine, I trust her."
"I provide medical checkups for little Dai here and check his body from time to time." Mizore said before grabbing two lollipops from her lap caot and presented them to the girls. "Want some?"
"Uh, no thanks. We're good." Nagisa said as Mizore just shrugged and put the candies away. "What do you mean check his body from time to time?"
"Well, seeing as how freely you're talking about Dai's secret, can guess that these girls know." Mizore asked and Ryō nodded. "Well, do you girls know about Dai's body changing?"
"Yes. We saw an X-Ray of his body once." Honoka said, thinking back to the day where they all fought Pisard for the final time. "There were these veins coming from his belt all spreading throughout his muscular and nervous system, changing his body."
"That's right. You're pretty smart for your age." Mizore said. "I'm in charge of researching the effects of the changes in his body. Speaking of changes, Dai, tell me more about this green form of yours."
"Like it said, I could hear and see really far! It was like an explosion!" Dai said.
"So when you turned green, you were able to detect more." Mizore summarized. "And because of that, you used up a lot of power."
Dai nodded. "Hai. All my power went into my senses, but since I used too much, I turned back into my white form."
"I see." Mizore said as she touched where the Arcle would usually appear when Dai would summon it. "Your insides have also changed, like it's lost its glow."
"What do you mean?" Ryō asked as the girls were also curious.
"Take a look." Mizore gestured everyone to the computer and showed everyone what she and Dai were looking at earlier. It was another X-Ray of Dai, but the Arcle belt appeared to be faded as if it was worn out.
"You're right, it does look worn out." Nagisa said.
"Based on what the boy said, all his nerves went into an extreme state thus multiplying his sense many times over." Mizore said before turning to Dai. "If you concentrated, you could track distant targets and even hear something happening far away."
"That's amazing…" Honoka said. She and Nagisa knew that Dai's powers were amazing, but they never thought he was capable of this!
'With this, I can defeat Badjisu!' Dai thought. Judging by how long he last time, he guessed he could last fifty second to one minute in Pegasus Form. He'll have to take down Badjisu in that time frame. But…
"I can't transform for a while." Dai said, knowing the other downside of Pegasus form.
"Eh?" Nagisa turned to Dai. "What do you mean?"
"It's as he said." Mizore said. "He won't be able to transform for a while as his powers are in a state of slow recovery. By my estimate, you'll have to wait two hours before you can transform again."
"I can wait that long." Dai said, but in his mind, 'But how many lives will be lost while I wait?' The longer he waited, the more people were bound to die. He'll have to endure these next two hours.
"But what can this new form do?" Honoka asked.
"Maybe I'll know more if I examine his body more." Mizore said as there was a hint of a suggestive tone when she said that.
"E-Examine!? What do you mean by that!?" Nagisa asked, her mind freaking out at what the woman might be meaning to do to her friend.
"No thanks." Dai flat out denied Mizore's suggestion to examine his body. "I know what to do with my new powers. There's no need to go that far."
"If you say so." Mizore said. "Well, if we're all done here, then you can all be on your way. I've got work of my own too you know."
"Right. We'll leave you to your devices." Ryō said as he and everyone took their leave.
"Geez, you had us all worried sick!" Nagisa said once they all exited the hospital.
"Sorry for worrying you two." Dai said. "So, how did the game go?"
"The game went…AH!" Nagisa gasped. She had completely abandoned the game to see if Dai was alright! She did it without thinking too! "I completely left the game!"
"Eh!? Why did you do that!?"
"Cause I was worried about you! Oh, what happened to the others!? Did they win without me!?"
"We have to go! Now!" Dai said as the two quickly jumped onto Dai's Trychaser and drove off.
"Oi! Matte!" Honoka called out, but they were already gone. "They left me…Um, Ichijo-kun, could you maybe…"
"I'll drive you there." Ryō said as he got out his keys.
(Stadium)
"Minna(Everyone)!" Nagisa called out to her team who were all resting, heads down in exhaustion…and defeat?
"Nagisa! Where were you!?" Yumiko said, going up to the second year once she spotted her.
"Gomen. A friend of mine got hurt so I rushed off without thinking." Nagisa said, apologizing. "But anyway, what happened while I was gone? Did we win?"
"Why don't you take a look for yourself?" Yumiko said as she gestured over to the score board. Nagisa looked and her eyes went wide eyed with shock. Otagaku had won…by one point! "It was during the final seconds did Otagaku pull off a comeback. We lost."
"…Sumimasen(I'm sorry). If only I had been here then…"
"Hey, don't beat yourself over it." Yumiko said, placing a hand on Nagisa's shoulder. "You left because you heard a friend of yours was hurt. I can't be mad at you for a reason like that. We can still make it if we win tomorrow's game so cheer up."
"Right…" Nagisa said as she held her head down in shame.
After the girls were done moping around a bit, they all decide to gather there things and head to the changing room to change out of their equipment. Nagisa apologized to everyone on the team, but they didn't blame her for leaving once they learned her reason. Once Nagisa had finished changing, she stepped outside to see Dai with Honoka and Ryō.
"How did it go?" Dai asked, walkinh up to the girl.
Nagisa shook her head. "We lost."
"Sumimasen." Dai apologized.
"Why are you apologizing?"
"Because you left the game cause of me. If I had just defeated the Grongi then you and the team would have won." Dai said as he held his head down in shame.
"Hey, don't worry about it." Nagisa said, not wanting Dai to feel responsible. "We lost, but we gave it our all. Right, Yukishiro-san?"
"Hai. You and everyone played really hard." Honoka said. "It's too bad about the tournament though."
"Yeah, but there's always tomorrow." Nagisa said.
"If everything's alright here, then I'll take my leave." Ryōn said, getting in his car. "I'll contact you f anything comes up."
"Hai." Dai nodded before Ryō drove away.
"Oi~! Oi~!" Nagisa jump in surprise and held her side pocket which held Mepple. She totally forgot about the fairy. "If we're all done, can I see Mipple now-mepo?"
"As self-centered as always." Nagisa said before the three went to a place where no one would see them to allow Mepple and Mipple to have their lovey-dovey moment.
"Mipple!"
"Mepple!"
Immediately, the two embraced in a hug and were smiling like children.
"You two are getting along well as usual." Nagisa commented. "How nice for them…"
"Indeed." Honoka said before turning to Dai. "Ichi-kun, are you really alright?"
"Hm? What do you mean?" Dai asked, leaning against the wall.
"Well, you can't transform for two hours. Are you gonna be alright?" Honoka asked, worried.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine. I just have to wait until my powers recover back to top strength. Then I can transform again." Daii assured the girl.
"Well, okay. If you say so." Honoka said before turning to Nagisa. "The game's tomorrow, right? I'll come again to cheer you on."
"You're coming tomorrow?" Nagisa asked, a bit surprised.
"Shouldn't I?"
"No, not at all. I'll just feel bad if I make you…"
"You're not forcing me at all." Honoka said.
"I'll be there too this time!" Dai said with a thumbs up and smile.
Dai's smile seemed to be contagious as Nagisa smiled as well and said, "You better be there this time. I need all the support I can get."
"Don't worry. I'll definitely be there!" Dai said. He may not have been there for today, but tomorrow, he'll definitely be there for her!
(The Next Day)
It was an early morning at a time that most people would be awake. Ryō was not one of those people. If it meant protecting the innocent, a loss of sleep was no big deal. Just four hours of sleep and then a cup of coffee was all he needed to start the day if need be. He was here meeting up with Sayuru who was not at all happy right now.
"I can't believe you had to call me at this hour." Sayuru said, scratching his head as his hair was a complete mess, more than usual. "It's not good if you don't get enough sleep."
"People's lives are at stake here. A bit a loss of sleep is nothing." Ryō said. "We can work out the Unidentified Lifeform's path of movement from the time and location of each incident, but we'll have too many victims that way. I called you here to ask if there was a better way to find it."
"Well, I might have something that might help track down No.15, but I can't guarantee that it'll be useful." Sayuru said as they stepped into his work room. He walked up to a cabinet and opened it, pulling out a device and handing it to Ryō.
"What is this?" Ryō asked.
"This is a device used to pick up ultrasonic waves." Sayuru said. "I had this made in case anything like No.2 appeared. I was recently contacted by Central Office and said that they caught some special sound wave emitted when No.15 moved."
"It might the sound of its wings." Ryō said. Dai had mentioned to him at the hospital yesterday that No.15's wings made a sound when it flew around last time he fought it.
"That's probable." Sayuru said as he grabbed another device needed for the one in Ryō's hand. "Because of its speed which we guess is about 200 km/h, we can't get a precise position but it should still be of some help."
"Not at all. If we know roughly where it is, that's good enough for me." Ryō said as he took the other device. "I'll be borrowing this then."
"Be careful out there." Sayuru said before Ryō left.
It didn't take long for Ryō to figure out how the device worked as he hooked it up in his car and was ready to drive out when his communicator beeped.
*BEEP!*
-Calling all cars! I just received work from Sakurai and Shimazaki. They've found the Unidentified Lifeforms' hideout in Minatoku! It's in Shinagawa! I repeat…-
Ryō didn't have to listen to a repeat as he was already off. There hadn't been any more victims since Dai fought with the Grongi last time so he guessed that if it was anywhere, then it was probably at the hideout with the rest of its kind.
And since there was sure to be a group of them, Ryō had no choice, but to call Dai. As much as he didn't want to impose on the young boy's life, he needed his power no matter how much he didn't want to call. He was still young. Kids his age should be focused on having fun with their friends, not be fighting with monsters. Ryō will apologize when he's able.
(With Dai)
"Yabai! I'm gonna be late!" Dai said to himself as he reached his bike and grabbed his helmet, putting it on. He had been so busy cooking a feast Nagisa and her team when they would win the game that he completely lost track of time. He promised he'd be there for sure this time!
Unfortunately for him, the communicator on his Trychaser beeped.
*BEEP!*
-Ichi Dai, are you there? This is Ryō.-
Hesitant at first, Dai soon picked up the call anyway. "Dai here."
-I'm sorry for calling at a time like this, but I just got word that the Unidentified Lifeform's hideout was just discovered. It's at Shinagawa!-
"I'm on my way." Dai said as he made a mental note to apologize to Nagisa later before getting on his Trychaser and drove off.
(League Tournament Stadium)
"I'm late! I'm late!" Nagisa said to herself as she hurried inside the building. She was a little late, but she could still make it if she kept up this pace. She sighed in relief as she finally made it and saw her two friends, Rina and Shiho and instantly knew something was wrong. "What's wrong, you two?"
Her two friends just pointed down at the field and she looked, eyes widening at what she guessed were there opponents today. She only had one thing to say and that those girls were HUGE!
"Are they our opponent today?" Nagisa asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, Kakutokandai Junior High School." Shiho said.
"Maji(Really)? They don't look like junior high students at all." Nagisa said.
"I heard their lacrosse team was just formed this year." RIna said.
"Are you sure that's not the judo club?" Nagisa asked as she started having flashbacks of Dai judo flipping her and Honoka. It was not a fun experience.
"If we try and hit them they'll snap us in two!" Rina said, exaggerating.
"We might even die!" Shiho said, not liking their chances. Both she and Rina gasped at that thought and turned around with the intention of leaving.
"We're leaving." They both said but were stopped by Nagisa.
"Chotto matte yo(Wait just a second)!" Nagisa said. "You know we can't lose today in this tournament."
"That's right." Both girls girl turned to see who said that and saw none other than the Vice Principal himself.
"Him again?" Shiho said.
"Keep this in mind." The Vice Principal said. "If we lose today we will be eliminated in the semi-final round which would be unprecedented in our school's history. Misumi-san, I cannot allow you to run off like you did during yesterday's game. Do you understand?"
"Crystal…" Nagisa said in annoyed tone. The man then turned and walked away.
"Just 'cause he's the Vice Principal, he acts like a jerk." Rina said as Nagisa nodded in agreement.
"Just ignore him. Let's all just play like we usually do." Nagisa said as they all went to change.
(With Ryō)
Ryō parked his car quickly, turned it off, and got out. Some police cars were already here as more were still coming. Currently, Shimazaki was attending to his dog while Hiroshi watched the warehouse from a distance as a truck was close to said warehouse.
"Good work." Ryō said, approaching Shimazaki and his dog.
"It took us all night to find this place, but all the training finally paid off." Shimazaki said, smiling as he was proud of his furry friend.
"You did great as well." Ryō said to the dog, petting it before going over to Hiroshi. "Sakurai, what's the situation?"
"We're waiting for the bombs." Hiroshi said.
"Will you be alright? You were up all night during this search."
"It's fine. I took a bit of rest and had some coffee earlier. Besides, with all this tension, I'm fully awake." Hiroshi said before gesturing to the truck. "You know the storehouse manager who went missing two days ago? That's his truck right there. They also found him in one of these warehouses. He was probably killed by those things inside."
"Well, we better start soon." Ryō said as he used his communicator to speak to everyone. "All teams prepare for simultaneous action. Confirm positions."
-Nage A team, ready.-
-Komori team, ready.-
-Naga B team, ready.-
The sound of another vehicle pulling up drew Ryō's attention as a van pulled over and Rai came out carrying the bombs.
"Sorry I'm late." Rai apologized. "We had to assemble the specialists. After all this, they had better be in there."
"They're there. Definitely." Shimazaki said, taking offense to that as he trusted his dog.
"Oh, uh sorry. That's not what I meant. Just a figure of speech." Rai said.
"Even so, they're being awfully quiet in there." Hiroshi pointed out. What the heck were they doing in there?
(Meanwhile, inside)
"What is the meaning of this!?" A voice filled with anger echoed thoughout the warehouse.
"What do you mean, Zu-Zain-Da?" A calm voice spoke.
"You know exactly what I mean! Why can the Zi Group no longer participate in the Gegeu!?"
"In case you haven't noticed, there is no more Zu Group." A third voice said. "You're the last of your kind. Ra-Baruba-De here decided that you and your 'group' were no longer worthy of participating in the Gegeru."
"Bullshit!"
"Hey!" A fourth voice came in. "I don't mean to interrupt, but we got some Linto's outside."
"Impossible!" A fifth voice said. "How did they manage to find us?"
"Zain, it's your fault." The calm voice said. "They followed your scent here." She had just sent Badjisu out after giving him another bracelet. She didn't expect for the Linto to discover them here so soon. She underestimated them.
"What!? How?"
"They had help from their furry friend. Zain, since you are no longer a part of the Gegeru, you will not kill any Linto's."
"You can't tell me what to do!"
*CLICK!*
*ROLL!*
Everyone stopped talking and looked down to see one of the special smoke bombs created. They looked at them in confusion before they exploded and released the smoke, making everyone but Baruba coughing.
"How clever." Baruba said. With them discovered, they had no choice, but to escape now.
(Outside)
Everyone waited patiently as smoke started to spew out from the opening. Rai looked at his watch and said, "The chemicals should be taking effect. Now's a good time as any to go."
Everyone nodded and pulled out their guns. The specialists pulled the garage door up to allow the men to enter the warehouse as they all rushed in and stopped. After a while, they moved again once they were sure it was clear and split up, planning on flanking them. Ryō held his gun close before turning a corner and pointed his gun only to see Rai and Hiroshi on the other side with no one, but them in sight.
"No one's here. Did they escape?" Hiroshi asked as everyone stayed cautious and looked around.
"They sure got some unpleasant hobbies here." Rai commented as the items around here left much to the imagination. Mannequins covered in blood, coins scattered all over the place, barbed wires and knives here and there, and etc.
"Kuzaragi-san! Look over here!" Hiroshi called out to the man and everyone as he led them to a secret passage way that led outside.
"So they got away through here?" Rai guessed as it was the only possible explanation. Suddenly, their communicators beeped and they answered it.
-It's Shimazaki! It's Mikado, my dog! He just suddenly ran off! I think he caught their scent!-
"What!?"
"Everyone, move!" Ryō said as everyone ran out.
Outside, Shimazaki was currently chasing after his dog, Mikado. He was no slouch, but even he was unable to keep up with his dog who was fast. He soon lost sight of him as the dog turned a corner and he heard barking. He sooned turned the corner only to hear a pained cry. His heart was soon filled with panic.
"Mikado!" Quickly, Shimazaki ran off with Ryō, Rai, and Hiroshi following close behind. When the three turned the corner, they all saw Shimazaki on his knees, shaking.
"Mikado…" The man picked up what could only be the remains of his dog. A bloody leash. "MIKADO!"
The three men stayed silent, letting the man grieve when the sound of an engine made Ryō turn around to see Dai finally arriving. He took off his helmet and looked at the crying Shimazaki before turning to Ryō who shook his head.
Dai slammed a fist down on his bike. He was too late to save a life again.
(With the girls)
Nagisa bounced on her feet, making sure her shoes felt right before stopping and looked amongst the stands and found Honoka but no Dai.
'Where is he? He promised he'd be here.' Nagisa thought.
Unknown to Nagisa, Honoka was having the same thought as she looked around, but saw no sign of the Rider.
'Where is he? He promised he'd be here.' Honoka thought when Mipple suddenly spoke up.
"Honoka! Honoka!"
Quickly, Honoka took Mipple out and turned so no one would see the fairy. "What is it?"
"I feel something-mipo."
"Eh?"
"Something is coming closer-mipo."
"Really?" Honoka asked before looking around to make sure no one was looking before she got up and went to the windows, looking out just in time to see a a smoke cloud suddenly form. "It can't be…!"
In the distance, none other than Gekidrago had finally made his appearance in the Garden of Rainbows. He had just knocked over a car which was in a way as he made his way to the stadium.
"He's coming here!" Honoka said. If Gekidrago had been the size of a normal man, she wouldn't have been able to see him from here, but since the Dark Zone General was large, she could spot him like a sore thumb. And judging by where he was walking, he was coming here.
Honoka looked around to see if anyone else had noticed before taking her leave. Since Dai was not here and Nagisa was busy with her game, it was up to her to make sure Gekidrago didn't reach the stadium. She was scared, sure, but this game meant a lot to her friend and she would not allow anyone to interfere!
She made it outside and ran onto the road, not having to wait long for the Dark Zone General as she called out to him, waving her arms to get his attention. "Over here! This way!"
"What are you doing-mipo!?" Mipple asked from inside Honoka's pocket. "It's dangerous…!"
"Even so, if he gets onto the field, it'll be a disaster." Honoka said. "And besides, Misumi-san's game will be disrupted. Since Ichi-kun isn't here, it's up to me to lead him away." And lead him away she did as she ran off towards the second stadium near here. Seeing the girl, Gekidrago gave chase. Honoka moved fast and worked fast, running inside and undoing the locks. She made it to the field when the place started to rumble, alert Honoka to move out of the way as Gekidrago appeared from underground.
Back with Nagisa and the team, they had all just finished doing some last minute practice and had finished up.
"Everyone, it's time." Yumiko said as Nagisa drank from her water bottle. "Make sure you're prepared. This game is crucial!"
"Yeah!" All the girls said as Nagisa went to put away her water bottle when Mepple suddenly spoek up.
"Nagisa, we've got a big problem-mepo!" Mepple cried out, moving around in Nagisa's bag.
Nagisa freaked out and quickly went to her bag. "What are you moving around for!?"
"I feel like Mipple has disappeared-mepo!"
"What are you talking about? Isn't Yukishiro-san right ther…?" Nagisa looked up to see Honoka, but found no sign of her.
"I bet something has happened to Mipple-mepo!"
"Maji(For real)?"
"Go search for Mipple-mepo! Hurry!"
Nagisa looked towards her team, debating on what to do. Honoka was in danger, but her team was counting on her to lead them to victory. A person's life or the risk of losing and failing to go to the finals. Nagisa didn't have to think long about it as she nodded and went to search for her friend, not knowing that the Vice Principal had noticed her leaving.
"Where? Where are they?" Nagisa asked once she made it outside.
Speaking of Honoka, she was in a very bad situation. She was literally backed against the wall as Gekidrago towered over her.
"Give me Stone." The Dark Zone General.
"No!" Honoka instantly replied. If this guy thinks she was gonna give the Prism Stone over just because she had her back against the wall then it got another thing coming.
Gekidrago growled in frustration before it roared angrily at the girl and started to advance, making Honoka back away.
"Stone…"
"Don't come any closer. I will never give it to you people!"
"Mepple, please come quickly-mipo!" Mipple called out from Honoka's pocket.
Gekidrago roared in anger again. If this girl wouldn't give him the Stone, then he'll just smash her and take it by force!
"Wait just a second!" Suddenly, from the opening where Gekidragon came through, Nagisa appeared, running towards them.
"Misumi-san!" While Honoka was glad to see her, what about the game?
"Mepple!" Mipple cried out, happy to see her boyfriend.
"Oga?" Gekidrago turned in confusion, seeing Nagisa run up to them.
"Yukishiro-san!" Nagisa said, happy that she made it in time.
"Henshin-mepo!" Mepple said.
While Gekidrago had his attention on Nagisa, Honoka used that chance to slip by him, running up to Nagisa's side as they both held out their Queen Cards.
"Misumi-san, what about the game?" Honoka asked.
"That can wait. This is more important." Nagisa said before they both slashed their cards.
"Duel Aurora Wave!"
The pillar of color and light shot up into the air. It was a wonder why it didn't draw attention to anyone nearby. But the girls weren't complaining as soon, they finished their transformation and stood ready to fight the Dark Zone General.
"Hikari no shisha, Cure Black!"
"Hikari no shisha, Cure White!"
"Futari wa PreCure!"
"Servant of the Dark Power…"
"Return to the darkness from which you came!"
"No returning!" Gekidrago roared as he raised his arm and threw a punch filled with power. Quickly, both girls jumped out of the way as Gekidrago swung his hand, managing to hit Nagisa as she spun and skidded across the ground before coming to a stop.
'Dang it, Nagisa, focus! Think back to all of Dai-kun's training!' Nagisa thought to herself as she got back up to her feet.
"What are you girls doing?" Both girls screamed in surprised and turned to see who had said that, pleading that it wasn't who they thought it was.
'Uh no.' Both girls thought.
(With Dai)
"I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner." Dai said as the investigation was finishing up.
"Don't blame yourself for what happened. The Unidentified Lifeforms are to blame." Ryō said as he got in his car. "For now, let's focus on tracking down No. 15."
"Hai…" Dai said, still feeling like he should have been here sooner. If he had, he might've been able to save what everyone called Man's Best Friend.
"Lives are always at stake in this line of work. Not even dogs are an exception." Ryō said.
While the two were talking, Hiroshi was talking with Rai.
"Hey, Kuzaragi-san, who's the kid?" Hiroshi asked, wondering why a kid was doing here.
"Oh, him?" Rai said, looking towards Dai before answering the man. "Believe it or not, that kid's No.4."
"Eh!?" Hiroshi looked towards Dai in disbelief. "You must be joking."
"I wish I was. The kid has the Trychaser, doesn't he? As we all know, No.4 rides the Trychaser." Rai said.
Back with Dai and Ryō, Dai was currently looking at the device that would help them track Badjisu.
"So this can track down Badjisu?" Dai asked.
"Yes. According to this, No.15 is heading to this area." Ryō said, pointing to a digital map that the device displayed.
Dai looked amazed a bit when he noticed something. "Hey…Isn't the stadium where the girls are at in that area?"
"…" The both of them looked at one another in realization before Dai rushed up to his bike and immediately got on, putting his helmet on and driving off.
"I need all officers to follow me!" Ryō shouted through the communicator. "We're going after No.15!"
(With the girls)
The girls felt like their luck was at its absolute worse. Why do they feel like that you ask?
"Kyoto-sensei!" It was because none other than their Vice Principal was here.
"This place is off limits. What are you girls even doing here anyway?" The man asked, adjusting his glasses.
"Ah! Don't come any closer!" Honoka said as she and Nagisa waved their arms frantically.
"Arienai(I can't believe this)!" Nagisa said. Could this get any worse?
"Raging spirits of the heavens, Zakenna! Heart of darkness, make them understand the horror of the Dark Power!" Apparently, it could.
'I need mental duct tape next time.' Nagisa thought to herself.
"ZAKENNA!" The Zakenna roared before it went to…the Vice Principal!?
"Eh!?" Both girls gasped in surprise as the Vice Principal grew before their eyes, his skin turning a dark grey color.
"Kyoto-sensei…!" Nagisa couldn't believe her eyes.
"What have you done?" Honoka said.
The Vice Principal turned Zakenna took out a giant pointed and swung it at the girls.
"ZAKENNA!"
Quickly, both girls jumped avoiding the attack as they flipped over the huge form of what was their Vice Principal. The Zakenna turned around…and actually spoke!
"Stop fooling around you two!"
"Eh?"
"I've always worked harder than everyone else! The one who gets to school first, the one who goes home last, that's me!" Gekidrago chuckled at what was happened and even decided to take a seat to watch the events unfold. "Who always has to put way the cleaning supplies? Why it's me of course! You would think such simple things would be easy to remember but noooooo! Can't you even take off your shoes and put them away properly!? Just yesterday, who was it who ran through the hallway wearing their outside shoes, eh?"
"Ah!" Nagisa gasped, remembering that it was who ran through the halls wearing her outside shoes. Honoka didn't know that and gave Nagisa and questioning look.
"It took forever to clean up the mess!"
"Misumi-san?"
"Ahahahahaha…" Nagisa could only laugh and blush in embarrassment. "I was in a hurry."
"How cunning! Saying such selfish things!" The Vice Zakenna Principal said as he picked up his pointed from the ground and swung at the girls again, forcing them to dodge.
"Hey! Blame Dai-kun! Not me!" He left in such a hurry that day that she was in an extreme hurry.
"People don't do what I say, and they talk to me sarcastically! I also…also…" The Zakenna was practically in tears as he kept on ranting.
"He seems so frustrated." Nagisa said as she and Honoka just stood and listened to him rant. Why is it that most of their battles were like this while Dai's were goddamn life threatening?
"What should we do?" Honoka asked.
"Anyway, the only thing to do is beat him!" Nagisa said, pointing to Gekidrago who was smiling smugly. She couldn't wait to wipe it off.
The girls claps their hands together, ready to use their finishing move, but…
"I also want to become a Principal!" The Zakenna was in the way.
"You're in the way!" Nagisa said.
"Is that anyway to talk to your Vice Principal!?" The Zakenna said as it attacked again.
"Oh boy!" Nagisa said as she let go of Honoka's hand and went to block the attack when she remembered something. It was during one of the few days training with Dai.
(Flashback)
"Hah!"
*THUD!*
"Oof!" Nagisa gasped as she got the wind knocked out of her. It was the first day of Dai training them and so far, both she and Honoka were on the ground the eleventh time.
"You alright down there?" Dai asked.
"You just judo flipped me. How can I be alright?" Nagisa said.
"I didn't use judo, I used aikido." Dai said.
"Aikido?" Nagisa repeated in confusion. What was the difference?
As if somehow reading her mind, "Judo is for either throwing or taking an opponent down to the ground, immobilizing or otherwise subduing an opponent with a pin, or forcing an opponent to submit with a joint lock or a choke. Aikido is entering and turning movements that redirect the momentum of an opponent's attack, and a throw or joint lock that terminates the technique. To put it simply, I use judo to immobilize while I use aikido to redirect an opponent's attack like what I just did with you. Get up. I'll give you a demonstration."
Nagisa would soon come to regret being that demonstration.
(Flashback End)
Almost unconsciously, Nagisa side stepped, grabbed the pointer, and with all of her strength, flipped the pointer along with the Vice Principal over, using the Zakenna's momentum to send it flying and crashing into the stands. Just like how Dai showed her except she was Dai and the Zakenna was her.
"Misumi-san, that was amazing!" Honoka said in a bit of awe.
"Did I really just do that?" Nagisa asked, blinking in surprise before throwing aside the giant pointer. She and Honoka then turned to Gekidrago who got up, looking ready to rumble. "Let's go!"
Honoka nodded as she and Nagisa clasped hands again.
"Black Thunder!"
"White Thunder!"
*BOOM!*
"Purikyua no utsukushiki tamashī ga…"
"... Jaaku na kokoro wo uchikudaku!"
Both girls clasped their hands tighter than ever. Gekidrago charged towards them, attempted to finish them off before they could finish, but he would never make it as both girls thrusted their hands forward.
"Pretty Cure Marble Screw!"
The two spiral blast flew and struck Gekidrago. He blocked that attack and tried to resist, but the attack was stronger than him as it pushed him back, blasted him out of the field, and into the waters.
"ZAKENNA!" The Zakenna roared before it exploded into the usual apologizing stars.
Both girls breathed a sigh of relief before smiling at one another.
"Looks like Ichi-kun's training really is paying off." Honoka said.
"Yeah." Nagisa nodded, looking at her hand before she remembered. "The game!"
"That's right! We need to hurry!" Honoka said as they canceled their transformations and took off running.
Unknown to them, in the air, a force much more dangerous than what they just faced was in the air, buying its time. It had just gotten done killing his last target and was now waiting for the right moment to strike. Patience was the key.
Lucky for Nagisa, she made it back to the field in time.
"Nagisa!" Shiho cried out.
"What have you been doing!?" Rina asked.
"Sorry everyone!" Nagisa said, giving everyone an apologetic look.
"Nagisa! Sub in now!" Yumiko called over to her.
Tapping out for a player, the game began to slide over to Verone Academy. Slowly, but surely, they were winning. Unlike the last team, this was nothing to them!
One hour later, the whistle blew and everyone knew who had won. It was Verone Academy! Nagisa and her team had won!
"We won!" Everyone cheered. The people from Verone that had come here to watch the game, even the Principal himself all cheered.
"Thank goodness." Honoka said, glad that her friend's team had one.
However, all the excitement on the field was about to change.
"This is the police!" Everyone stopped cheering the minute everyone heard that and turned to see Ryō at the entrance with other police officers. "This is the police! We need everyone to evacuate the building immediately! There is an Unidentified Lifeform heading this way!"
"What!?" Both Nagisa and Honoka said from where they were at as everyone started to panic.
"Honoka-chan!" Hearing her name, Honoka turned to see Dai coming through the entrance.
"Ichi-kun!"
"Honoka-chan! Where's Nagisa-chan!?" Dai asked. He was in a hurry. Time was of the essence!
"Down there." Honoka said, pointing down to the field. Dai immediately ran over there and jumped onto the field from the stands.
"Nagisa-chan! You and everyone need to evacuate!" Dai said, keeping an eye up in the sky.
Up in the sky, Badjisu saw the commotion, but wasn't complaining as he spotted the one known as Kuuga. Perfect. He can take him down from all the way up here. Yes, from up here, Kuuga won't know what hit him before it was way too late.
"Dai-kun!" Nagsia said as her friends all ran towards the entrance with the police officers all escorting everyone, gesturing for them to hurry up. "What's going on!? Why is an Unidentified Lifeform or Grongi or whatever you call it coming here!?"
"The enemy travels in a spiral and this place was in the area of his next destination." Dai said, not taking his eyes off the sky as Ryō along with Honoka ran up to the two.
"Everyone's been evacuated." Ryō said as it was just the four of them now. "What do you plan to do?"
"I plan to shoot the Grongi right out of the sky." Dai said as he summoned the Arcle belt.
"You're gonna shoot it?" Honoka said in confusion.
"What do you mean?" Nagisa asked.
"Just watch." Dai said as he did the hand motions quickly. "Henshin!"
(BGM: Kamen Rider OST-Edge of Green)
The pulsing sound of the belt sounded before Dai transformed into Kuuga's Pegasus Form, amazing the girls as this was the first time seeing this form.
"What is this power-mipo?" Mipple said as the feeling of darkness around Dai changed. It was like a gust of wind that would blow away anything at any second.
"Ichijo-san, give me your gun." Dai said calmly.
"Eh? My gun?" Ryō said, uncomfortable giving his gun to someone younger than him.
"He knows where the evil is, even yonder distance. Like a gale, there exists a warrior who shoots them down." Dai said, confusing everyone. "This form needs a gun to attack."
Ryō nodded in understanding and while hesitant, tossed his gun to Dai who caught it and right before everyone's eyes, the gun changed into the Pegasus Bowgun.
"Everyone, give me silence. I need to concentrate." Dai said and everyone nodded, falling absolutely silent.
Now ready, Dai concentrated using his enhanced senses to hear for Badjisu as he was no doubt in the air, ready to snipe. Now, to find him.
…
…
…
…
…

…
…
…
*bzzzzzzzzz!*
'Found him!' Dai thought as he turned towards the direction of the sound and with his enhanced vision, saw Badjisu, aiming, firing his stinger at…!
"Ah!" Both girls cried out in surprise when Dai raised his hand and caught the biggest needle they've ever seen! And it was so close to hitting his head too! Just how close was he from dying!?
Dai quickly threw away the needle and aimed the Pegasus Bowgun at the Bee Grongi who was surprised that he caught his stinger.
"You're mine!" Dai said, pulling the hammer of the weapon back to its full length, pulled the trigger, and released the hammer as if he was releasing an arrow from a bow. A blast of energy fired and to everyone's eyes, the blast seemed to have transformed into a soaring green Pegasus, flying faster than Badjisu could dodge before the Pegasus disappeared and the blast struck Badjisu right in the chest, leaving its mark as Badjisu held his chest in pain before he fell and his belt broke.
*BOOM!*
An explosion occurred in the sky for all to see as Dai lowered the weapon in his hand, breathing a sigh of relief. He looked towards Ryō and the girls as they were all looking at him in surprise and awe, more so for the girls than Ryō as the fairies themselves looked at Dai with mouths wide open in shock.
Dai simply smirked under his helmet, raised the gun up, and gave the group a thumbs up.
(BGM End)
"Whew!" Dai then suddenly canceled his transformation and dropped down to the ground flat on his back. "I am worn out."
"Ichi-kun! That was amazing!" Honoka said. Catching the needle so suddenly like that and perfectly shooting down the Grongi all in that one instant! Was there no end to how amazing Dai's powers were?
"Dai-kun…" Nagisa dropped down to her knees besides Dai who simply continued to smile, glad that he had won the fight.
"Glad he didn't target you guys." Dai said, smiling.
"Mou! Don't scare us like that!" Nagisa said, slapping Dai on the chest and getting a pain cry from him.
"What was that for?" Dai asked. "Is it for not showing up for the game? I'm really sorry about that."
"That doesn't matter right now." Nagisa said. "We won and you're still safe. I'll hold back on punishing you for not making it."
"Sorry." Dai said, giving Nagisa his signature smile.
Another day of fighting, another day of winning. Nagisa had won the game and Dai gained Kuuga's Pegasus form. Everyone was happy with this outcome.
'You never cease to amaze me, Ichi Dai.' Ryō thought as he took back his gun. What else could this boy do?
Only the future could answer that question.
And done! Holy shit, that was long! But I finished this in two days to who cares? This kind of went up and down for me so I don't know how this turned out, but it think it's okay. Dai finally gained Kuuga's green form, Pegasus form! What a way to come back after so long. How do you like my version of Enokida? Surprised weren't you? Next time, Dai will finish off the last member of the Zu Group. What happens, well you'll just have to find out next time. Until then, this has been Ashbel Longhart, signng out. And now, here's…
Pretty Cure: Rider Fun Facts
"Hello minna-san! After two months of being gone, Mepple and his friends have finally returned-mepo!" Mepple said as he, Mipple, and their partners all appeared on stage with the audience clapping.
"We're so glad to be back-mipo." Mipple said.
"Man, what a crazy chapter after being gone for two months." Nagisa said.
"Granted, author-san wasn't gone, he was just focused on other things." Honoka said. "So, what will we be looking at today?"
"Today we will be looking at Dai's new form, the green Pegasus form-mepo!" Mepple said as Kuuga's Pegasus form appeared on the screen.
"His armor kind of looks like what a bowman would wear." Honoka said.
"You're right-mipo." Mipple said as she begun explaining the form via info from the wiki. "Pegasus Form is a green shooting form where Kuuga's or Dai's senses are heightened to extreme, superhuman levels, enabling him to see, hit and hear his opponents with deadly precision. It also allows Dai to detect the enemy's position, despite whatever ability they may have to avoid detection-mipo."
"That's amazing!" Nagisa said, surprised.
"It is. However, the downside to this form is that it cannot be sustained for too long because of the enormous strain placed on the nervous system from over stimulation and thus Dai can only sustain this form for a maximum of one minute. If Dai were to exceeds this limit, he shall be knocked back into Growing Form and become unable to transform for two hours. He also takes much more damage in this form as his sense of pain has also increased, meaning little attacks will feel much stronger to Dai-mepo." Mepple said.
"It's like a double-edge sword." Honoka said.
"Besides his senses, how power is Dai in this form?" Nagisa asked.
"Not very strong-mepo." Mepple said. "His strength is equal that to his Dragon form while his speed is equal to that of his Mighty Form-mepo."
"So he's neither strong or that fast." Nagisa said. "So how does Dai win in this form?"
"With Pegasus Form's personal weapon, the Pegasus Bowgun which is a crossbow/gun hybrid weapon that can be created out of any gun-like object." Mepple said. "Like Mipple said, Pegasus form is Dai's shooting form, meaning that this form excels in long-range combat and nothing else. So it's important that Dai stays as far away from his opponent as possible-mepo."
"I see. That makes sense." Nagisa said.
"I'm surprised you understood all that. I thought only Honoka was the smart one here-mepo." Mepple said.
"What was that!?" Nagisa said as she started to chase after the yellow fairy.
"What's the finishing move for this form?" Honoka asked.
"The finishing move for this form is called the Blast Pegasus, an arrow shot from the bowgun after pulling the hammer back to the fullest length and releasing it-mipo." Mipple said. "All it takes is one shot from this attack and any Grongi will go down. It's that powerful-mipo."
"Amazing…" Honoka said as Nagisa finally caught Mepple and started pulling real hard on his cheeks.
"Well, that's all the time we have readers. Tune in next time for Dai to take down the last of the Zu Group! Why is this battle so important you ask? You'll just have to wait and find out! Until then, bye bye-mipo!" Mipple said as she and her partner waved goodbye while Nagisa was still busy pulling on Mepple's cheeks.
