Futari wa Pretty Cure: A New Legend Chapter 9: Ride 9: As they do in Rome, a Kamen Rider + Pretty Cure Crossover fanfic

Hello Fanfiction readers! Ashbel Longhart back to bring you another chapter of A New Legend! Glad to see people are still enjoying the story so far. I find myself working a little harder on these kinds of chapters than my other stories. Maybe it's just the feeling of not wanting to get anything wrong that might upset you people. Anyway, before I continue, cue disclaimer!

(Disclaimer: I do not own Kamen Rider Kuuga or Futari wa Pretty Cure. They both belong to their respective owners. I just own this story and my OC's.)

Now then, his chapter was kind of a dozy since I had a hard time thinking of what to do, but I tried my best and hope you all enjoy it. Last time, Dai finally finished off the last of the Zu Group, but that doesn't mean his job is over yet, far from it. Oh, and before I forget, I made some changes to Pretty Cure crossovers. I meant to tell you readers a while ago, but I kept forgetting. And since the new Pretty Cure was announced, here is what I have planned:

Ride 9: Get it back! The Great Mepo Mepo Plan! As they do in Rome…

(One Year Ago)

"Arigato, Misumi-chan." Dai said as he and Nagisa were currently walking down the halls to the school's faculty office.

"Geez, I can't believe you got lost." Nagisa said.

"Gomen(Sorry), it's just this place is a lot bigger than I thought." Dai said.

"You'll get used to it." Nagisa said before they finally arrived. She opened the door and said, "Shitsurei shimasu(Excuse me)."

"Hm? Misumi-san?" When the two students walked in, the only person in the office was a man with combed grey hair dressed in a tan suit and a blue pokka dotted tie.

"Who's he?" Dai whispered to Nagisa.

"That's the Vice Principal." Nagisa said before turning back to the Vice Principal. "Kyoto-sensei(Vice Principal), I brought the transfer student."

"Oh, so you're the new transfer student." The Vice Principal said as he grabbed a folder, got up from his desk, and walked over to them. "Thank you, Misumi-san, you can return to class now."

"Hai." Nagisa said before turned to take a leave, but not before whispering to Dai, "Careful, Ichi-kun, he's not very well liked amongst students."

"I'll keep that in mind." Dai whispered back before Nagisa took her leave and returned to class.

"Now let's see here…" The Vice Principal muttered as he looked through the folder in his hand. "Ichi Dai, 14 years old, moved here from Akihabara…" After scanning through it, the Vice Principal closed the folder and addressed Dai. "Welcome, Ichi Dai to Verone Academy. I'm Vice Principal Kometsuki. Classes are about to start so allow me to take you to your class."

"Arigato, Kyoto-sensei." Dai said as he followed the Vice Principal out of the office and towards the classroom he'll be a part from now on until next year.

(One Year Later)

It was a bright new day as Nagisa yawned before she applied toothpaste across her toothbrush while thinking about the past events as always, still half-asleep a little as she had just woken up not too long ago.

'Honoka and I had this big fight, something that's never happened before.' Nagisa thought as she slowly started to fully awake and wince at how much of a mess she looked in the mirror. 'Since we were forced together so suddenly after meeting Mepple and Mipple, we might have just been trying too hard to be nice to each other. Dai said it was only natural since they were so different from each other, but once we said what was on our minds we felt much better, I now consider Honoka a real friend. I'm sure Honoka feels the same way.' Nagisa cupped some water and washed her face as she continued her thoughts. 'Even while we were fighting each other we could still defeat that guy from the Dark Zone. In fact, even while were angry at each other, were worked together so well.'

"Wait a minute, does that mean if we were attacked while we weren't fighting, we'd be okay?" Nagisa thought out loud as she finished changing into her uniform. The one known as Gekidrago had been completely defeated the last time they fought thanks to all the training she and Honoka did with Dai. She smiled at the memory, mentally reminding herself to thank Dai later before looking at herself in the mirror to see if she looked okay.

That's when Mepple decided to speak up. "You've been really self-conscious about your looks lately-mepo."

"What are you talking about?" Nagisa asked as she still checked to see if she looked alright.

"I bet it's 'cause of that guy-mepo." Mepple said.

Nagisa looked away from the mirror and turned to Mepple. "Hey now, if you just said what I think you said, you know what'll happen to you…"

"Oh? I just said that guy, I didn't say who-mepo." Mepple said, getting a blush from Nagisa as he knew he got her. "How did you know who I meant so quickly-mepo?"

"He has nothing to do with it!" Nagisa shouted a bit too loudly, not knowing that her little brother was outside the door, hearing everything. "I'm telling you it's not like that! Don't make me repeat myself!"

"She's talking to herself again…" Ryota muttered as he made a mental note to ask Dai what was going on. He seemed to be the only one who knew what was going on with his sister.

Back inside, Mepple was still messing with Nagisa.

"Oh? You're so serious all of a sudden, it's suspicious-mepo." Mepple said as he started to jump around. "Suspiscious-mepo! Suspiscious-mepo! Suspiscious-mepo!"

"Don't repeat things meaninglessly!" Nagisa said as she declared, "I'm ignoring you now." She then grabbed Mepple and said, "And no breakfast for you!"

"What!?"

"Ja ne(See ya)!" Nagisa said before she closed Mepple up.

"Wait a minute-mepo!" Mepple's voice spoke out from within his phone form. "I want to eat my nutritious omelet-mepo! Ooh, I haven't felt too good since this morning-mepo…"

"Aho(Idiot). I won't be tricked the same way twice." Nagisa said as before she put on her blazer and stuffed Mepple into her pocket before heading downstairs to eat breakfast. Dai had went ahead of her to eat, but when she went downstairs, Dai wasn't at the table.

"Where's Dai-kun?" Nagisa asked her mother as she took a seat next to Ryota.

"He finished his breakfast early and ran out, said he needed to check his bike." Rie said as she wiped her hands clean and sat down herself.

"Is that so?" Nagisa said before she sat down and ate while thinking about the Rider in question.

'It's thanks to him that Natsume-san was found and returned to her mother safely.' Nagisa thought as she ate. 'But these last few days must be hard on Dai-kun. For the past few days it's been nothing, but fighting those Unidentified Lifeforms. I'm not too worried since he's working with the police, but people are still dying because of those monsters. I can't help, but wonder what he's thinking about when he fights.' She and Honoka fight the Dark Zone in secret while Dai fights alongside the police against the Unidentified Lifeforms or Grongi day and night with the whole country of Japan knowing about them. Every time Nagisa thinks about these things, she can't help but reminded how different Dai's life is compared to hers or Honoka's. I mean, when they fight, they're fine afterword, but when Dai fights, he sometimes ends up in the hospital which of course makes the girls worry.

Nagisa sighs as she stopped herself from thinking these things further or else she'll do nothing, but build up worry inside of her. She told herself that Dai would be fine and went back to eating when she noticed her brother staring at her weirdly.

"What?"

"Uh, nothing!" Ryota said before going back to eating.

Nagisa raised an eyebrow before she noticed that her was staring at her weirdly too and turned to give her a questioning look.

"Ah! Do you want seconds?" Rie asked a bit nervously.

"I'm not finished yet." Nagisa said as she has yet to finish her first serving.

"Oh, you're right…" Rie said as she laughed.

Nagisa raised an eyebrow in confusion before finishing her breakfast. "I'm done. Ittekimasu(I'm leaving)."

Both Rie and her son watched as Nagisa left the apartment building before Rie said, "It doesn't look like anything has changed…"

"No, she's totally acting weird." Ryota insisted.

Outside, Nagisa was making her way to where Dai was at his Trychaser while she was talking to Mepple.

"Nagisa, I don't feel very good-mepo. I'm dizzy-mepo."

"I already said I won't be tricked like that again." Nagisa said, not believing the fairy in her hand. "It's because of you that everyone at home is calling me weird."

"But-mepo…"

"Ignoring you!" Nagisa said before she closed Mepple up and stuffed him in her pocket and called out to Dai. "Dai-kun!"

"Ah!" Dai said as he slipped and straightened up from leaning the Trychaser.

"What are you doing?" Nagisa said as he looked to see what Dai had been doing and saw the Kuuga mark on the Trychaser was a bit scratched as a single line of black ran from it.

"I was trying to fix the Kuuga mark when you messed me up." Dai said as he showed the small paint brush in his hand.

"Ah, sumimasen(sorry)." Nagisa said as Dai grabbed a towel and wiped away the mistake. She looked all over the bike and noticed that it had scratches all over the place, evidence of all the battles Dai had gotten into. "Your bike as seen better days."

"Yeah, I was planning on getting it checked and fixed after I got back from Nagano." Dai said as he placed the towel down and went back to fixing the mark before he and Nagisa would leave for school.

"I see…wait, Nagano?" Nagisa said, having picked up the name the capital city of the Nagano Prefecture.

"Oh, did I not tell you?" Dai said as he got up and said, "I'm heading over to Nagano later today."

"…EH!?"

(Insert STRIKE BACK by BACK-ON)

(Instrumental) The song starts as the camera rises up to show the legs of Kuuga before we get a sudden screen shot of Cure Black and Cure White before go back to Kuuga. Just as the camera is at the Arcle, we get a sudden shot of Mepple and Mipple before the camera gets to his chest. We then get another sudden shot of The PreCure cards surrounding Gouram before we go back to Kuuga whose back was facing the camera. He then suddenly turns around and punches the screen, cracking it as the title appears.

(Kidou sura kaerarenai kurai no kakuritsu da to shite mo) We now see Nagisa playing lacrosse with her team, catching a ball as Mepple is seen sleeping from Nagisa's bag.

(IPAASENTO demo areba mochiron teikou desho?) We then see Honoka with the members of the science club, doing an experiment that ended in an explosion as Mipple just giggles at the scene.

(Shosen, "unmei" to nagetsukerareta tte, No I won't!) We go to the city where police are examining a dead body. Ryō looks at the body before he walks away and gets out his phone, calling Dai.

(Hikkuri kaeshite, Because datte kimi to mirai wo miretara saikou janai?) Dai, riding on the TryChaser 2000, gets the call from his radio and speeds up, passing both Nagisa and Honoka as he races to meet up with Ryō.

(Bring it on! 'Cuz I'm just gonna grow up in the battle HEY! buchinuku donten!) Suddenly, the sky turns dark before the Dark King and his subordinates appears as well as an army of Zakenna appeared. Appearing with him was a shadow figure of N-Daguva-Zeba along with an army of Grongi.

(Still burning my fire ten wo kirsaku raimei I gotta kakikesu Nightmare tada mirai ga mitakute!) Nagisa and Honoka step in fear before Dai suddenly appeared behind them and gave them his signature smile and a thumbs up.

(Kako, mirai, soshite ikiteru ima, I ain't scared of my past and now for takusareta asu) Seeing his smile seemed to steel the girl's resolve as they took out the Queen PreCure and Dai summoned the Arcle belt.

(Screaming out for my pride!) A light then suddenly appears and appearing from it was Kamen Rider Kuuga along with Cure Black and Cure White, ready for battle.

(Namida mitakunai kara, sakebi tsudzukeru yo! Zutto...) Cure Black and Cure White engage a battle with some Zakenna before taking on Pisard, IIkubo, Poisony, Kiriya, and Gekidrago.

(I'm never falling down! oi kaze wo se ni fukitobasu Destiny!) Both sides trade blows for a bit before both girls held hands and fired their signature Marble Screw.

(Kono senaka ni aru, egao mamoritai kara! Zutto...) We see Kuuga kicking way a few Grongi, bashes them with the Dragon Rod while in his Dragon form, shoots a flying Grongi with his Pegasus Bowgun in his Pegasus form, slash a few more Grongi with his Titan Sword in his Titan form.

(I gotta blast off your pain for you and me! kanashimi nante Rest in peace!) Dai and the girls meet regroup as they face both the Dark King and N-Daguva-Zeba. Dai charges up a Mighty Kick before he jumps.

(Nando demo...) The girl then threw another Marble Screw as Dai kicks towards the two beings of darkness with the Marble Screw following close behind him before a light overtakes everything and we see a quick look at the blue sky before the song ends.

(Verone Academy)

A mass of students walked onto Verone Academy campus as boys and girls went to their respective buildings.

"Ohayō(Good Morning)." Nagisa greeted her friends, Rina and Shiho once she entered the building.

"Ohayō!" Ringa greeted back.

"Did you hear, did you hear, did you hear?" Shiho spoke up.

"Hear what?" Nagisa asked.

"The class next door had a pop quiz in math yesterday!"

"Ack!"

"Ack indeed!" Shiho said as the three of them looked nervous.

"What are we going to do?" Rina asked. "We have math first today."

"Go home?" Nagisa suggested as she got her school shoes from her shoe locker.

"I really want to go home too." Rina said.

"Oh, I wish I was one of the 'elite'…" Shiho said as she and Rina looked over Nagisa.

Nagisa turned to where they were looking at and saw Honoka entered the building. "Honoka!"

"Nagisa, ohayō!" Honoka greeted happily.

"Ohayō-Gah!" Nagisa said before she was suddenly pulled back by her friends.

"Wait, wait, wait a second!" Rina sad before asking, "What's going on here?"

"What is it?" Nagisa asked, confused.

"Since when have you and Yukishiro Honoka been so close?" Rina asked.

"That's right, you know, that's right." Shiho said. "You're on a first name basis and everything!"

"Well, even if you say that…" Nagisa said before Honoka appeared.

"Is something the matter?" Honoka asked.

"Oh, it's nothing!" Nagisa said when she realized that she still had her school shoes in her hand. "Can you wait a second?" She quickly changed her shoes and put away her outside shoes while talking. "It seems we have a pop quiz in math class today."

"Oh, is that so?" Honoka said, not seeing what was so worrying.

"'Is that so?'" Nagisa repeated as she pushed Honoka away from the girls. "It must be nice to be you, Honoka."

"I don't understand." Honoka said as she was pushed away.

"It's nothing." Nagisa said as she stopped pushing Honoka and walked besides her, sighing. "This is the second bomb dropped on me today."

"The second?" Honoka repeated in confusion.

"Oh, I guess you don't know." Nagisa said. "This morning, Dai-kun told me that's he's going to Nagano today."

"Eh!? Nagano!?" Honoka said in surprise.

(Investigation HQ)

Once again, another meeting was being held at Investigation HQ as men gathered around the table to discuss new strategies to combat the Unidentified Lifeforms.

"This case concerns the Unidentified Lifefroms." Chief Hiwagawa began as everyone was handed papers. "We will investigate this further with help from Headquarters' reinforcements. This should be approved soon. In order for the case to be solved without further casualties I'm sure many of our citizens and researchers will give their support." Hiwagawa then turned to Ryō. "Please tell us about the current situation, Ichijo-kun."

"Hai." Ryō said before standing up and spoke. "During the incident of No. 15, a special gas bomb was used against the enemy base. We have requested that the Police Department should develop more effective weaponry." Ryō then grabbed a small case next to him and opened it to remove a case out of many before setting the small case down and took what was in the content which was a bullet. "In this plastic bullet is the content of that special gas which has been increased 200-fold. If this bullet exploded within the enemy's body, the poison would rapidly affect the underlying tissue and damage the cells. I can't guarantee that it will kill the enemy, but it should leave them paralyzed so we can capture them."

"And once we capture one, we can find their weakness." Rai said.

Hiwagawa nodded in satisfaction before speaking up. "The casualties in this case are increasing. We don't know what will happen next. Let's all do our best!"

"Hai!" Every man in the room said before the meeting was adjourned.

"Well, that ended more quickly than I thought." Rai said, walking over to Ryō who put away the bullets. "You think those things will actually work?"

"There's no way of knowing for sure until we test it on a Unidentifed Lifeform." Ryō said. "I'm hoping they'll at least paralyze one so we can capture it and learn more about them."

"Doesn't the kid know? He seems to know a lot about them more than we do." Rai said, talking about Dai.

"I don't know, I never asked." Ryō said before he remembered and looked at his watch before grabbing the case and left. "Gomen(Sorry), but I must leave."

"Where you going?" Rai asked.

"I'm planning on going to Nagano with Ichi-kun." Ryō said. "I got a call from Ms. Natsume yesterday, telling me that they want Ichi-kun to look at some of the stuff they dug up from the ruins. I'm going to meet up with him right now."

"I see. Then I'll contact you if anything comes up." Rai said before Ryō takes his leave.

(Dark Zone)

The Dark Zone remained unchanged since last time, Clouds were still dark, thunder boomed everywhere, and the Dark King still ruled all over the place as before him were Gekidrago and Ilkubo.

"This power will ensure the immortality of the Dark Zone. Have you obtained the seven stones which shall grant me eternal life yet?" The Dark King asked, his voice booming loud as ever.

"After we deal with these interferences, it will be very soon." Ilkubo said.

"May I remind you that we do not have unlimited time."

"I know." Gekidrago said.

"We understand." Ilkubo said before turning to Gekidrago. "Anyway, bring the two creatures back here and don't kill them. They are the only ones who know where the stones are hidden."

"Oga." Gekidrago said before he took his leave.

Once gone, Ilkubo spoke up. "Dark King-sama, if I may speak."

"What is it, Ilkubo?"

"The one known as Kuuga, he is the same as the Grongi, is he not?"

"That is correct. He is very much like them."

"If that is so, then why is he helping these Pretty Cure? What makes him different from his kind?"

"He is a Kamen Rider. It matters not if he is the same as the Grongi. His kind only exists to threaten our existence. Leave the Grongi to deal with him and focus on getting the stones."

"As you wish, Dark King-sama." Ilkubo said before he too took his leave.

(Verone Academy)

The school bell rang, signaling the end of class as Nagisa walked down the stairs to get some privacy as she was mentally exhausted from having taken today's math test while also worrying about Mepple who had spoken up during the middle of class.

"I give up, I'm beaten." Nagisa said, mentally exhausted as she took out Mepple from her pocket. "If I don't study seriously all the time, it's really tough. I need to ask Dai-kun later for help when he gets back." She envied Dai. He got to skip school today and go to Nagano while she was here taking a test. Sometimes, life was just not fair.

Sighing again, Nagisa opened Mepple up only to be surprised when clouds of steam appeared as well as a red, burning Mepple, causing great panic for Nagisa. "Mepple, daijōbu(Are you alright)!?" Mepple didn't answer as he just groaned. "Oh no, what's wrong? Don't tell me you really were feeling bad. Oh, what do I do?" Suddenly, Mepple was closed up right in front of her before it taken from her. Nagisa looked up to see who had taken Mepple and was surprised to see, "Kyoto-sensei!?"

"Confiscated!" Kometsuki said. "You know the rules: Anything not required for school is confiscated. Cell phones are no exception, got it?"

"That's not right, it's not a cell phone!" Nagisa said.

"Even so, it's not something necessary for school, right?" Kometsuki said. "Confiscated!"

Nagisa couldn't do anything, but watch as the Vice Principal takes away Mepple.

"Arienai(I can't believe this)…" Nagisa said as Honoka suddenly appeared from the stairs, having wondered what was Nagisa doing down here.

"Nagisa, what's the matter?" Honoka asked, seeing the worried expression on Nagisa's face.

"Mepple was just taken away by the Vice Principal!"

"Nani-mipo!?" Mipple said in surprise, pooping out of Honoka's pocket.

Quickly, the two headed towards the faculty office and got there to see the Vice Principal putting Mepple as well as other confiscated items into a box.

"What do we do?" Nagisa asked. "Mepple looked really bad earlier…"

"You mean he's sick?" Honoka asked when Mipple suddenly popped out of Honoka's pocket and jumped down into Nagisa's hand.

"In case we get sick, you can cure us using the Parupu card-mipo."

"Parupu card?" Nagisa repeated in confusion as Honoka took out her cards to find the card Mipple was talking about.

"At first it is very hard for us to survive here in the Garden of Rainbows-mipo." Mipple explained. "Not only that, but a lot of things have been happening one right after another. It must have been hard for Mepple to handle since his body hasn't gotten used to the environment yet-mipo."

"He was doing his best this entire time…" Nagisa realized. "Meanwhile, all I've been is…"

"Is this one the Parapu card?" Honoka asked, presenting a card with the picture of some sort of creature dressed like a nurse.

"That's it-mipo!" Mipple said. "Please use this card to cure Mepple's illness as soon as possible-mepo. If things continue like this, Mepple will, Mepple will…" Mipple couldn't bring herself to say it and she didn't need to as the girls got what the fairy meant as Nagisa handed Mipple back to Honoka and entered the faculty office.

"Shitsurei shimasu(Excuse me)."

"Ah, chotto(wait), Nagisa!" Honoka cried out as she went to stop her friend, but Nagisa closed the door on her before she could even take a step towards her. "Oh, what would Ichi-kun do if he were here?"

Inside, Nagisa wasted no time confronting the Vice Principal.

"Kyoto-sensei, please return what you confiscated from me earlier." Nagisa asked/demanded.

"And why should I?" Kometsuki asked.

"It's very important." Was all Nagisa could say.

"If it's so important, then don't bring it to school." Kometsuki said. "That is the rule, regulation, school policy, and etc. Do you understand?"

"Dakedo(But)…"

"I'm not doing this because I want to," Kometsuki said. "However there must be rules when we all need to function together! Got it?"

"That's true, but…" Before Nagisa got to say anymore, the school bell rang.

"Get back to class." Kometsuki said as he shooed Nagisa away.

Nagisa reluctantly kept her mouth shout as she reluctantly left while thinking, 'What would Dai-kun do if he were here?'

(Meanwhile, With Dai)

Hours have passed by as the train came to a stop and finally arrived at its destination, Nagano Station. The sliding doors opened and people soon came out with Dai and Ryō being amongst them.

"Wow, so this is Nagano." Dai said as he and Ryō carried their bags. Depending on how long the two were here, they might have to stay the night so they packed their bags with enough clothes for one night. Dai said they wouldn't need much as he predicted that this would be quick.

"Just the station. You sound like you've never been to Nagano before." Ryō said.

"Oh, I have, just not in a while." Dai partially lied. This is the first time he's been to this world's Nagano as back in the real world; he was only a small child that last time he went to Nagano with his family back when they were still alive. "You said someone was here to pick us up, right?"

Just as Dai said that, a voice spoke up. "Ichijo-san!" The two turned to the source of the voice and saw none other than Natsume Karen.

"Ah, Ms. Natsume." Ryō said as he and Dai walked over to her. "I didn't expect you would be the one to pick us up."

"Well, I had some time on my hand so I thought why not use it to help bring you two over to the Research Center." Karen said before turning to Dai. "It's nice to meet you again, Ichi-kun."

"It's nice to meet you again too, Ms. Natsume." Dai said before looking around. "Is your daughter not with you?"

"No, she's still in school at this hour." Karen said. "Which reminds me, thank you so much for finding and helping my daughter through her difficult time."

"Nandemonakatta(It was nothing)." Dai said. "I've lost my parents too so I know what she was going through. Now, about those relics…"

"Of course, this way please." Karen said as she guided the two outside and to her parked car.

(Back with the girls)

The last bell rang, signally the end of school for today as Nagisa and Honoka met up.

"How'd it go?" Nagisa asked.

Honoka shook her head. "No good. Yoshimi-sensei also said that Kyoto-sensei was right.

"Sonna(That can't be)…" Nagisa said, a bit dispirited when Mipple popped up.

"Please-mipo! Please help Mepple-mipo!" The worry on Mipple's face was as clear as cloudless blue skies. Seeing how worried the fairy was for her lover, Nagisa pumped herself up.

"Alright, in that case I'll do whatever it takes!" Nagisa said, determined before running off.

"Where are you going?" Honoka asked, following after her friend.

"To the Drama Club storage room." Nagisa said, getting a confused look from Honoka as the two soon made it said room and entered. Honoka closed the door behind her as quietly as possible as the two girls tiptoed quietly in case anyone was still here. Nagisa then smiled, having found what she was looking for with Honoka looking at her with disbelief.

'She's actually going through with this.' Honoka thought as she watched Nagisa entered the faculty office.

"Good afternoon." Nagisa said upon entering the room, dressed up as a ramen delivery boy. "I'm from the ramen shop. I came here to pick up the empty bowls."

"Gokurosama(Thank you)." Nagisa's and Honoka's math teacher said as he was currently checking the math tests his students had taken today while Yoshimi was busy doing her own thing.

Nagisa smirked to herself before searching where Kometsuki kept the confiscated items. "Now where's the bowl?"

"That Misumi girl," The math teacher spoke up. "She didn't do well at all."

Upon hearing that did Nagisa slump down, muttering, "Yappari na(I knew it)." Note to self, get Dai's help later.

"Huh?" The math teacher said, hearing Nagisa mutter which caused her to panic.

"Ah, don't mind me." Nagisa said before she went back to searching for Mepple. "Now where are those bowls?" She soon smiled as she found what she was looking for and knelt down to get Mepple when a voice belonging to none other than Kometsuki spoke up.

"What are you doing?" Kometsuki asked as Nagisa quickly got up.

'Remain calm, Nagisa. Remember what Dai-kun told you about acting.' Nagisa thought as she remembered a year back about Dai's skill in acting. Remain calm and stay in character. "I came here to pick up the ramen bowls."

"I'm afraid there aren't any. I did not eat any ramen." Kometsuki said.

"Ah, I see. That's strange…" Nagisa said as she slowly shuffled to the exit.

"Wait a minute." Kometsuki said, making Nagisa freeze up. "If there are any bowls, they would be in the kitchenette area."

"O-Oh, I see. Pardon me." Nagisa said before she exited the office where Honoka was waiting for her and sighed, glad that she was still safe. "That was close, too close…"

"Even though you said you'd do whatever it takes, you used such a makeshift method." Honoka said.

"Say what you want. My next attempt will work for sure." Nagisa said before she ran back to the storage room and changed before trying again.

"Good afternoon." Nagisa said upon entering the room, dressed as a delivery service boy. "Delivery service. I came here to pick up a package."

"We don't have one." Kometski said, making Nagisa quickly turn and leave.

"I'll come back again." Nagisa said before leaving the room.

"Otsukaresama deshita(Thank you for your hard work)." The math teacher said, almost through all of his tests.

Nagisa closed the door behind her and the two girls left.

"We're sunk." Nagisa said, disappointed in herself that her second attempt failed so miserably.

"Yes we are." Honoka agreed with her friend while smiling in amusement.

"I really thought this one would work too." Nagisa said.

"Your confidence is astounding." Honoka said. "Do you think I should call Ichi-kun for help? We could use all the help we can get."

"While I'd hate to rely on him so much, we don't really have a lot of options left." Nagisa said as she hoped to solve this by herself. The fact that he went to Nagano today shows just how much his dedication to fight against the Grongi were.

(With Dai)

Dai stared out the window of the car, looking at everything Nagano had as Ryō was busy speaking to Karen about the relics.

"So, what do you know so far?" Ryō asked.

"Very little, actually." Karen said. "We recently dug up more pieces these past few days. I'm hoping Ichi-kun here might know what they are since can't make heads or tails about them."

"How many pieces have you found?" Dai asked, speaking up for the first time since he got in the car.

"Quite a lot actually." Karen said.

"Have you tried assembling them?" Dai asked.

Karen stopped at a red light before turning to Dai in the back seat. "Assembling them?"

"Hai. They should resemble something like a stag beetle when assembled." Dai said before seeing the light turn green, "Light's green."

Karen turned back to the road and drove as she asked, "And how do you know this?"

Dai simply smiled and said, "That's my little secret."

"Of course it is." Ryō said, rolling his eyes before a few minutes later, they finally arrived at the Research Center.

"This way please." Karen said as they got out of the car, entered the building, and guided the two through the halls until entering a room. The room was fairly big with some computers and shelves loaded with many things such as old looking objects and such. In the middle of the room was a table with pieces of old looking relics.

"This was my husband's lab. He kept most of the stuff we found in the ruins here." Karen said as she walked over to the table while Dai and Ryō entered the room with the latter closing the door behind them. They walked over to the table and examined the many pieces.

"What are these?" Ryō asked, picking up one of the many pieces on the table.

"Like I said in the car, I really don't know." Karen said as she picked up one piece which was a pentagon-shaped stone with some sort of green gem embedded in the middle. "This here is the piece we recently found today."

Dai's widen at the piece and he asks, "May I see that?"

Karen nodded and handed the stone over to Dai and grabbed it and held it as if it were a delicate baby. Dai looked at the stone in the middle before he steeled his nerves and raised is hand before placing it over the gem.

That's when it happened. Black and white images of a past long forgotten appeared in his head. He saw the fast moving form of a stag beetle-like entity, said entity becoming armor for a horse, before a familiar looking warrior wielding a sword faced off against a figure three times taller than the warrior before the images ended and he was back in reality.

"Ichi-kun, daijōbu ka(Are you alright)?" Ryō asked, worried when Dai seemed to go into a daze.

"I-I'm fine." Dai assured, shaking away some of the dizziness that was occurring before setting the stone down and looked at Karen. "Ms. Natsume, if it's not too much trouble, do you think you can maybe transfer these pieces over to the Research Center in Investigation HQ? I'm still a student after all and I can't keep making trips like these."

"Of course, that can be arranged." Karen said. "But may I ask, do you know what all of this is?"

"Oh, it's horse armor." Dai said bluntly, talking as if he was talking about the weather.

Both adults blinked in confusion before they said, "Horse armor?"

Before questions could be asked, Ryō's phone started ringing. Quickly, he took it out and checked to see who was calling before answering. "Hai? Ryō here."

- Ryō, its Rai. Now don't get scared when I say this, we've may have captured a possible Unidentified Lifeform.-

"Nani!?"

At that moment, Dai's phone ran and he checked the Caller ID before answering. "Moshi moshi(Hello)?"

-Ichi-kun? It's Honoka.-

"Is something the matter? You sound distressed." Dai pointed out.

-Well, the thing is…Mepple was confiscated by the Vice Principal.-

"…EH!?"

(Akane's Tako Cafe)

"That's really bad luck." Akane said as both Nagisa and Honoka had some takoyaki for themselves.

"Yeah…" Nagisa said, "It's not funny at all."

"No, it isn't." Akane said before looking around. "Where's Dai? Is he not with you two today?"

"No. Believe it or not, he went to Nagano today, but should be back later." Honoka said.

"Nagano? Now that's a surprise." Akane said, a bit surprised by this news. "Anyway, the confiscation of your cell phone was just a smokescreen."

"Smokescreen? What do you mean?" Nagisa asked, confused.

"What I mean is that confiscating your cell phone was just a ruse." Akane said. "In reality, Kometsuki Kyoto-sensei is actually a big manga fan?"

"Eh? Our Kyoto-senei?" Honoka said.

"That's right." Akane said. "Originally, he put a lot of energy into disciplining the students. But a while back, he started getting into all the confiscated manga. He stays behind in the office after everyone else has left to laugh himself silly really all the student's confiscated manga. He was already famous back then in our class."

"For real?" Nagisa asked in disbelief.

"For real." Akane said. "The truth is that he only wants to confiscate manga, but that would be too obvious so he has to confiscate other things too."

"No way…" Nagisa said, seeing that as unfair.

"Why and how do you know all this?" Honoka asked.

"Because I had my stuff confiscated all the time." Akane said a little too proudly.

"I don't think that's something to be proud of." A familiar voice said, making the three turn to see none other than Dai with his Trycahser not too parked away.

"Dai-kun!" Nagisa said in surprise. "You're back already!?"

Dai nodded. "Yeah. I came as soon as I could. Is it true that your stuff was confiscated?" Nagisa nodded. "That's bad."

"It really is. Having your cell phone confiscated is a real problem." Akane said.

"Um, it's not really a cell phone exactly." Nagisa said.

"Eh? Then what is it?" Akane asked.

"It looks like a cell phone, but…" Nagisa began.

"Anyway, you're taking good care of it, aren't you, Nagisa?" Honoka asked.

"Oh? On a first name basis are we?" Akane said. "If I recall, it was Honoka-chan, right?"

"Hai(Yes)."

"Something happen?" Akane asked.

"Something?"

"I don't know exactly, but you two became so close to each together without me noticing." Akane pointed out. "Something must have happened."

"You're as sharp as ever, Akane-san." Dai said. "But sorry to say, nothing really happened, right girls?"

"Yeah." Nagisa nodded.

"It was nothing in particular." Honoka said.

"Hmm…?" Akane hummed in amusement and interest before her attention was changed to a customer. "Ah, a customer. Thanks for coming!" And with that she left.

Once she was gone, the girls turned to Dai and Nagisa said, "I'm surprised you got here so fast. What were you doing over there?"

"Oh, just looking at some stuff." Dai said. "But is it true. Did Mepple get confiscated by Kyoto-sensei?"

Honoka nodded before saying, "What should we do?"

"What indeed?" Nagisa said as Honoka took out Mipple to find her still worried sick.

"Mepple, we're going to save you-mipo." Mipple said to herself to convince herself that everything was going to be alright.

Seeing the worry on the fairy's face, Dai spoke up. "It'll be alright, Mipple. We'll save Mepple for sure, so don't you worry!"

"Dai…" Mipple looked at the Rider in surprise and couldn't help, but be convinced at his words and said, "Arigato."

Suddenly, Dai's phone rang and quickly, he took out, saw the Caller ID, and answered. "Hello?"

-Sorry to call after you just got back, but could you please meet me? It's about the suspect claiming to be an Unidentified Lifeform.-

Dai didn't answer at first as he turned to the girls. Guessing that the call was probably important and ha to do with the Grongi, the girls waved him off as if saying, 'Go ahead.'

Dai nodded thankfully before answer. "Sure, I can do that. Where do you want to meet up?"

-I'll wait for you at the hospital with Tsubaki.-

"Got it. I'll meet you there." Dai said before he ended the call. He then turned to the girls and said, "Sorry, but I have to go."

"It's okay, we understand." Honoka said.

"We'll try and figure out how to get Mepple back." Nagisa said.

"Good luck." Dai said, throwing them a thumbs up for good luck before he jogged to his bike and soon later left.

(Meanwhile, an hour ago)

After parting with Dai, Ryō rushed back to Station and met up with Rai in the interrogation room where they were currently questioning the man who they suspect to be an Unidentified Lifeform. Rai had Hiroshi investigate the man in case he was innocent so currently, it was just him, Ryō, and the man in the room with the man remaining silent for the last couple of minutes.

Rai scratched the back of his ear before speaking. "Are you still insisting you're an Unidentified Lifeform?"

The man in question appeared to be in his early 30's. He has black hair and wore a black vest over a simple white shirt and ripped jeans with brown shoes covered in a bit of dirt as on the right side of his neck was a tattoo similar to those of the Grongi. He was currently cuffed and remained silent as his personal things were laid on the table: a baseball cap, a lighter, a box of cigs, and a pocket knife.

Rai sighed as the man continued to stay silent. "Oi, say something. Why did you act like you were an Unidentified Lifeform?"

Finally, the man spoke. "I never said that. They asked me if I was an Unidentified Lifeform. I said I didn't know."

"I see." Rai said as Ryō remained silent to the side, letting Rai handle this. "So it's definitely not true. You're a really troublesome guy."

"I never said I was wrong." The man said.

"Excuse me?"

The man turned to Rai and said, "If it were true, what would you do?"

Rai looked at the man for a while before saying, "You're fucking with me, right?" The man didn't saying anything and just turned away. "Oi!"

"Rai, calm down." Ryō said.

"You're a member of those stupid humans, right?" The man said suddenly. "What's wrong with the Unidentified Lifeforms? You're all just worthless and polluting the planet anyway."

Rai grabbed the man by the shirt and lifted him up to his face. "Say that again to my face! I dare you!" The man however chose not to speak. "Who the hell's worthless?"

When the man refused to speak, Rai released the man from his hold and took a moment to calm himself down. Meanwhile, Ryō went up and picked up the pocket knife, flipping the blade out and getting the man's attention.

"Why were you carrying something like this?" Ryō questioned, but the man refused to speak and just looked away. Ryō resisted the urge to sigh in annoyance as Hiroshi suddenly came into the room.

"Kuzaragi-san. Ichijo-san." Hiroshi bowed to the two men as he closed the door behind him.

"Did you find anything?" Rai asked.

"I did. Turns out this guy's innocent." Hiroshi said as he took out his notebook and showed them what he found. "We found out his name by checking his license plate. His name is Samayō Keita. He's unemployed and he keeps getting fired from every job that hires him. In short, he's a drifter."

"I see." Ryō said.

Suddenly, the now named Samayō Keita spoke up. "If an Unidentified Lifeform were to disguise himself as Samayō and turn himself in to the police with some kind of ulterior motive…what would you do?"

Rai saw what game Keita was trying to play and just sighed in annoyance.

"With his high intelligence, he would be smarter than all of you." Keita said.

Of course all the adults knew what kind of game the man was trying to play and they weren't gonna fall for it. Instead, they talked with one another.

"So, any ideas on what to do?" Rai asked.

"He certainly isn't making it easy for us." Hiroshi said.

"I'll have Tsubaki do an examination on him, see if she can find anything." Ryō said. "I'll also call Ichi-kun in case he does turn out to be an Unidentified Lifeform."

"Okay then, you make the call while me and Sakurai here will bring this guy over to the hospital." Rai said.

Ryō nodded before he left the room, took out his phone, and made the call.

(Meanwhile, River)

"Ah, nothing's biting." A man said as he and his two friends were canoeing at the river to try can catch some fish. They didn't feel like buying their own food tonight so they decided to do this, although if nothing bit for the next hour, they might reconsider.

"Oh don't be like that. You know as well as I do that fishing takes patience." The second man said.

"Well if nothing bites soon, I'm just gonna say 'fuck it' and go grocery shopping." The man said which something finally bit.

"Well, looks like you won't have to go shopping after all." The third man said as his friend struggled to reel in whatever bit.

"Damn! It must be a really big one! Help me out here!" The man said as the second man lent his assistance and helped his friend reel in the fish, but even with the both of them, it was hard and soon, the lines snapped back and both men fell back, failing to reel in whatever bit the line.

"Haha! Too bad. You'll get it next time." The third man said as the other two simply laughed. It was always good to hang out with one another.

*Slash!*

"Hm?" Hearing something appear from the water, the men turned and saw none other than Me-Biran-Gi, the piranha Grongi. Of course, they all freaked out! "Ah! It's an Unidentified Lifeform!"

In their panic on their small little boat, all three men fell into the water.

'Perfect.' Biran smiled. After Zain had been slain, Biran had to watch and wait as other Grongi's participated in the Gegeru with all of them being defeated by Kuuga and now, today was his turn. With the prediction that he can 180 people in two days, he will see blood and he will enjoy all of it! He had already killed a group of people on a cruise ship and now, it was time to spill some more blood.

But suddenly, Biran smelled something in the water. The blood of a construction worker who had cut his hand badly. The smell of blood itself overrides his senses and he then ignores the trio in favor of going after the bleeding worker.

(Later)

"You drag me out of my home on my day off to do this? You got some nerve, Ichijo." Mizore said, clearly angry as she had a lollipop in her mouth as always.

"I'll make it up to you later." Ryō said as he and Dai both watched the scanner pass over Keita. "So, what can you tell me about him?"

"Well, he appears to be a normal human." Mizore said. "I can't find any traces of an Unidentified Lifeform in his body."

"This Samayō-san guy wants to be a Grongi so badly…he's lost his faith in humanity, hasn't he?" Dai asked.

"That's right." Ryō said as he took out Keita's pocket knife. "That's why he had this knife."

"Losing faith in humanity, huh." Mizore said. "Well, can't blame him for hating us humans. We can be pretty cruel when we want to be…Hm?" Mizore straightened up as she saw something on her computer. "Wait a second…"

"What's wrong?" Ryō asked.

"It appears our patient here isn't feeling very well." Mizore said.

"What is he sick or something?" Ryō asked.

"Possibly, but I might need to check him a bit more to be sure." Mizore said when her desk phone started ringing. Picking it up, she answered. "Hello? Yeah, he's here with me right now…Okay." Mizore turned to Ryō and gave him the phone. "It's for you."

Ryō took the phone and spoke. "Hello? …Really? …I understand." Ryō then hanged up and turned to Dai. "No.23 has appeared."

"Let's go!" Dai said. It was time to get to work again.

"Try not to die out there, you two." Mizore said as both men ran out of the room before turning back to the computer. "Now for you."

(Construction Site)

The area was in complete chaos. Screams filled the area of both construction workers and policemen alike. Wounded's were dragged away to safety while policemen did their best to fend off Unidentified Lifeform No. 23, otherwise known as Me-Biran-Gi, the piranha Grongi. Its teeth were covered in blood, having bitten into the worker who had cut his hand and now, Biran was practically rampaging, killing anyone near him with either his teeth or with the cutters on his arm. The bullets fired from the police gun did little to harm him as he went and slashed any officers that got too close to him before he sets his sights on one remaining detective.

"I wonder how your blood tastes." Biran said as he went and grabbed the man by his neck and lifted him. The Grongi chuckled as the fear on the man's face and opened his mouth to sink his teeth in when the sound of a bike drew his attention.

*VROOM!*

"Hm?" Brian turned only to be struck by the Trychaser, sending him flying back into the shallow part of the river as Dai came to a stop and Ryō ran out of his car and went to the detective.

"Are you okay?" Ryō asked the man and he simply nodded before he helped him up and dragged him away to safety, leaving Dai to deal with Biran.

The Grongi in question popped back out from the water and glared at Dai who summoned the Arcle belt and quickly did the hand motions.

"Henshin!" Dai said before the belt pulsed and he was donned in his Mighty form.

Seeing the number one enemy of the Grongi Tribe, Biran let out a cry of anger as he charged towards Dai, jumping towards him to hit him with his cutter. Dai quickly dodged the jump attack and blocked a backhand attack from the Grongi before pushing him away and punching the piranha monster's ribs. Biran held his side as he drew back before attacking again, throwing a punch to Dai's face, but Dai dodged the punch before grabbed the Grongi's arm and elbowed the monster's chest before he let go, spun around, and elbowed Brian in the gut, throwing the Grongi back. Dai then ran up to it, going for a kick to the gut when Biran jumped and seemingly disappeared.

"Nani!?" Dai said in surprise, looking around to find the Grongi when a blur passed by him, slashing his chest armor and actually cutting through it a bit as Dai was thrown back a bit. Dai quickly recovered and turned around only for the blur of Biran to pass by him again; slashing him with its cutters as Dai was thrown to the ground and looked at the slash marks on his armor before looking back up in time to get kicked in the face that sent him flat on the ground. Finally slowing down, Biran went to stomp on Dai, but the Rider caught the foot and managed to push it back, knocking the piranha Grongi back off balance a bit which gave Dai time to flip back up and drop kick Biran right in the chest, sending him back into the shallow river. Dai went after the Grongi, jumping to attack with a flying kick, but the Grongi ducked under the attack and Dai landed on his feet before he quickly turned around in time to block an attack aimed for his face before blocking and stopping another attack aimed for his ribs, pushing back the cutters that threaten to slice him open. They both struggled to overpower each other with Biran trying to push his cutters through while Dai pushed back the cutters before he drew his head back and headbutted Biran right in the face, making the Grongi stumble back before it recovered and roared angrily before he rushed in at Dai and threw a punch, but Dai was ready for this as he quickly side stepped, grabbed the arm, spun around and elbowed Biran in the gut, making the Grongi bend over a bit before grabbing Biran's arm with both hands and aikido flipped Biran over his shoulder. Dai went to punch the downed Biran, but the Grongi was quick once again and threw a leg up, kicking up and hitting Dai's face, making the Rider stumble back as Biran quickly got up, splashing water everywhere before using its speed once again to zoom past Dai faster than he could keep tracked and slashed everywhere as Dai held up his arms and did his best to defend.

"He's so fast!" Dai said. He knew Biran was fast, but not this fast!

A kick to Dai's back sent him down into the water as Biran stopped speeding around. Dai quickly got back up only for an arm to wrap around his neck and choke him before Biran sank his teeth into his shoulder. Dai cried out in pain as he gritted his teeth behind his helmet, feeling Biran's teeth stab through his armor slowly and getting underneath. Quickly, Dai elbowed Biran right in the again, getting the Grongi to back away from him before Dai fell to his knees, holding his shoulder before he decided to switch strategies.

"Chou Henshin!" Dai shouted before he turned around to see Biran attacking with his cutters again, but they failed to slice through his armor as Dai assumed his Titan form.

"What the!?" Biran didn't get to say more as Biran was pushed back by a punch to the chest. Recovering, Biran went to slash Dai again with his cutters, but they failed to even leave a scratch on Dai as he switched fighting styles and wrapped his arms around the Grongi when it went to attack him again and gave Biran a quick headbutt to the head before he threw himself back and suplexed Biran head first into the shallow river. Dai quickly got back up before Biran did and threw a punch the second Biran got back up, hitting Biran right where his nose was. The piranha Grongi held his nose as rage surged within him before he dodged a second punch from Dai, grabbed his arm, and bit the part that wasn't protected by armor, easily sinking his teeth through the body suit.

"Argh!" Dai cried out in pain as he fell to his knees. Quickly, he punched Biran right in the face, getting him off of him before holding his arm.

"Ichi-kun!" Dai turned to see Ryō with an h&r handi rifle. Dai quickly moved out of the way as Ryō quickly took aim and fired the special bullet right into Biran's right rib. The gas within the bullet immediately spewed out and seems to affect Biran.

"Damn you! I'll be back!" Biran said before he jumped into the river and soon disappeared.

"Matte!" Dai said as he quickly got up, still holding his arm as he searched the waters, but saw no sign of the piranha Grongi. Sighing, Dai canceled his transformation and returned to his civilian form as Ryō made his way to him.

"Ichi-kun! Daijōbu ka(Are you alright)?" Ryō asked.

"I'm fine. Just bleeding a little." Dai said as he removed his hand from his arm saw blood staining his hand and clothes. "Biran got away."

"So it seems." Ryō said as he searched the waters and saw no sign of the Grongi. He then turned to Dai and said, "For now, let's get that wound checked."

Dai simply nodded and followed Ryō back to his car.

(Later, Hospital)

The door swung open as Nagisa and Honoka came in.

"We got here as fast as we could!" Nagisa said immediately said before saying, "Is Dai-kun alright?"

"He's fine girls." Ryō said, having called the girls earlier while Mizore checked Dai's wound.

"As always, your wounds are healing rapidly." Mizore said as she checked Dai's wound which was already closed and healing.

"That's good." Dai said, relieved.

"Is that a bite mark?" Honoka asked, coming over to look at Dai's healing wound and saw the white, fading marks on his arm.

"Yeah. You should have seen what it looked like earlier, I was bleeding all over." Dai said.

"Please don't try to put an image that'll scare us." Nagisa said. She was already worried about Mepple, she did not need any more worries right now.

"Anyway, the bodies of the new victims have arrived. Please do an autopsy." Ryō said.

"The numbers of people who've been attacked are increasing as of late." Mizore pointed out. "If this keeps up, the number of day offs I have will be decreased."

"Don't complain, it's your job." Ryō said. "Anyway, we need to find a way to combat No. 23." Ryō then turns to Dai. "Ichi-kun, is there anything about No. 23 that you could share?"

"Biran is attracted to the smell of blood." Dai said.

"Blood?" Ryō and the girls, the latter paling a little at the mention of the word, said in confusion.

"The smell of blood overrides Biran's senses. If you don't believe me, have Tsubaki-san here do an autopsy on the new bodies."

The two adults in the room look at one another before Ryō said, "Alright, I'll keep that bit of info in mind. For now, go home with the girls. I'll contact you if anything shows up."

"Hai." Dai nodded before getting up when a thought appeared in his mind. "Actually, is it alright if I see Samayō-san?"

"That guy? What for?" Mizore asked.

"Hmm, I can't really explain it right now; it's just that I want to talk to him." Dai said.

"Is that so?" Mizore said, biting down on her lollipop which made a sounding crack sound in her mouth before she munched on the remains before speaking. "His room's 235. Although expect him to be unconscious since due to the anesthetic."

"Room 235, got it." Dai said before he left the room.

"Um, who is this Samayō-san?" Honoka asked for both her and Nagisa.

"He's a guy who claimed he was an Unidentified Lifeform and got arrested before he was brought over here for me to check." Mizore said as she took out another lollipop and popped it into her mouth "He's nothing, but a drifter really who couldn't hold a job for long. Although, he is sick."

"Sick? How sick?" Nagisa asked, curious.

"His case is pretty serious, really." Mizore said. "If you want, you can go see him with your boyfriend."

"D-Dai-kun's not my boyfriend!" Nagisa shouted, blushing red.

"Really? I assumed considering how worried you were for him last time I saw you." Mizore said before turning to Honoka. "So is he your-?"

"Ichi-kun is just a friend." Honoka said instantly before Mizore could finish.

"Just wanted to make sure." Mizore said before she took out a lollipop and handed it to her. "Want one?"

"I'm good, thank you." Honoka said before she and Nagisa left to go after Dai.

(Later)

It didn't take long for Dai to find the room Keita was in. As Mizore predicted, Keita was still asleep so with nothing better to do, he just took a chair and waited before the girls soon arrived and waited for hours until they asked the most obvious question.

"So, who is this man?" Nagisa asked as she and Honoka sat with Dai.

"His name is Samayō Keita." Dai said. "From what I was told from Ichijo-san, he's a guy who claimed to be an Unidentified Lifeform, the Grongi, and was brought in for questioning before being transferred here for a checkup."

"Tsubaki-san told us that. Why did he claim to be an Unidentified Lifeform?" Honoka asked, she and Nagisa both confused at the man's actions.

"It's because this man has lost his faith in humanity." Dai said.

"Lost his faith in humanity?" Nagisa repeated in confusion.

"It's when someone thinks negative about humanity as a whole." Dai explained. "My guess as to why he claimed to be a Grong, even going as far as to get a tattoo similar to them, is because he looks up to them."

"But that's crazy! How can someone look up to those…murderers?" Nagisa said, thinking back to the first death she and Honoka saw.

"Like I said, he's lost faith in humanity." Dai said before suddenly, Keita began to stir.

"He's waking up." Honoka pointed out as Keita grumbled a little before opening his eyes.

"Did you have a good sleep?" Dai asked, making Keita turn to him and the girls.

"…Who the hell are you three?" Keita said.

Not even bothered by the man's language, Dai answered, "I'm Dai. These are my friends, Nagisa-chan and Honoka-chan." The girls simply waved in nervousness.

Keita looks at them for a moment before lying back down until he saw his stuff next to him on a stand. He gets up and notices something is missing, his pocket knife. He double checks and even checks the drawers, but there was so sign of the knife

"If you're looking for your knife, the police confiscated it." Dai said.

"He had a knife!?" Honoka said in surprise.

Keita looks at Dai and asks, "What the hell do you want, kid? You some kind of junior detective?"

"Oh no, no, no!" Dai said, waving his hand in denial. "I'm actually here to ask you something."

"And what's that?" Keita asked, mentally wishing that Dai would just hurry up and leave him alone.

"Why do you admire the Unidentified Lifeforms?" Dai asked.

"Excuse me?" Keita didn't expect to hear that from the kid.

'Talk about straight to the point.' Nagisa thought.

"I'm not mistaken, am I?" Dai asked.

Keita throws a small glare at Dai and said, "What do you think you know about me? Not just you but there's no one who understands how I feel."

"Isn't that normal?" Dai said. "Nobody can know someone else's true feelings, not even me." Keita looked at Dai with a bit of surprise. "But it's still possible to get along."

"What, you want to be my friend? Fuck off; I don't need something like that." Keita said, turning away from Dai.

Dai's small, friendly smile turns into a frown.

'Dai-kun/Ichi-kun is frowning.' Both girls thought as they both knew that when Dai frowns, he was about to do something that would make people question his age.

Dai gets up and walks over to the other side of the bed, leaning against the window, the sky setting over the horizon, as he asks Keita, "Are you alive?"

"What?" Keita looks up at Dai in confusion.

"I said, are you alive, Samayō-san." Dai asks again. "If you're alive, then you should do your best to have while you're alive."

"Hmph! You're an idiot, kid. Life isn't about having fun." Keita said.

"You only think that because you haven't been doing your very best." Dai said before he held up a thumb to Keita and asks, "Tell me, do you know this?"

"Are you kidding me? It's just a fucking thumbs up." Keita said.

"Very good. Now, can you tell me where it came from?" Dai asked.

"What are you talking about?" Keita asks, confused at what was Dai trying to ask him.

"Allow me to explain." Dai said. "This here came from ancient Rome to be able to a satisfactory level. This is a gesture given to people who succeeded beyond all adversity. Even someone like you should aim to be worthy of this. You may be right, that life isn't all fun and games, but it's because of that, people try to make the best out of their life and you should too."

Keita looks at Dai in surprise. He continues to look at Dai before he looks away and lies back down. "Just leave me the alone."

Dai continues to down as he puts his hand down and walks over to the girls. "Let's go home, you two."

The both of the nodded before they followed Dai out the door, glancing at Keita before they left the room, but not before Dai said one last thing.

"The Unidentified Lifeforms aren't who you think that are." Dai said. "They won't understand how you feel just like how any other human won't understand how you feel."

That struck a nerve as Keita shouted, "Just get the fuck out!"

Both girls jumped a bit as Dai pushed the girls out of the room and after a while, they left the hospital.

Once outside, Nagisa spoke up. "Dai-kun, why did you say all that to him?"

"Hm, who knows?" Dai said. "Maybe I just wanted to tell that Humanity isn't so bad, that the Grongi are not the kind of 'people' he thinks they are." He then turns to the girls. "I'll probably be busy tomorrow dealing with Biran to help with Mepple so you two are on your own." He then gives them his signature thumbs up. "Good luck you two."

The girls nodded and returned the Rider's thumbs up with their own.

(The Next Day)

All was quiet in the halls of Verone Academy as not too long ago, school had ended for the day. The only ones remaining in the building were one Kometsuki who was reading manga as well as both Nagisa and Honoka who were just outside the office, peaking through the door.

"It's just as Akane-san said, he's still there." Nagisa whispered, speaking softly so they wouldn't be found by the Vice Principal as said man was actually reading manga. Dai had left earlier, getting a call from Ryō and left as soon as school ended.

"What should we do?" Honoka asked.

"Dai-kun suggested we wait around somewhere until Kyoto-sensei leaves so why not do that?" Nagisa whispered, getting up.

Honoka nodded. "Yes, that does sound like the safest thing we can do right now."

And so the two hid themselves behind some supplies close to the office, waiting patiently for Kometsuki to finally leave.

"I hope Mepple's okay." Nagisa muttered.

"I have a bad feeling about this-mipo." Mipple muttered.

"Don't say things like that, Mipple. You'll worry Nagisa." Honoka said to the fairy in her hand.

"But I'm much, much more worried about Mepple-mipo." Mipple said.

"Gomen ne(I'm really sorry), Mipple." Nagisa apologized since it was because of her that Mepple was in this situation. "But it's kind of strange."

"Strange? How so?" Honoka asked her friend.

"This situation is kind of like what happened to us." Nagisa said. "Like you and me, Mepple and I were suddenly thrown together unexpectedly. We fight every day, but now that he's gone I'm really worried about him."

"You miss him." Honoka said. "It really was a strange and mysterious encounter…"

"From now on, will we have more of them?" Nagisa asked.

"More of what?"

"You know what I mean. Those guys we don't want to encounter." Nagisa said, talking about the Dark Zone.

"Probably." Honoka said.

Nagisa sighs. "I wonder how Dai-kun deals with this. He told us that there were 200 of those monsters that he has to fight and yet he barely seems stressed by all of this."

"Who knows? He's not like us, that's for sure." Honoka said. "Anyway, for now, let's think about saving Mepple first."

"Yeah." Nagisa nodded before muttering, "I wonder how Dai-kun is doing?"

(With Dai)

Dai, Ryō, as well as Hiroshi were by the river as Hiroshi and Dai helped Ryō load the artificial blood onto the speed boat they had rented. As Dai had said, Biran was attracted to the smell of blood after Ryō had Mizore do an autopsy on some of the bodies and were planning on using artificial blood made by the Science Division to bait Biran out so Dai can fight it.

"Are you sure you'll be alright all alone?" Hiroshi asked once they finished loading the containers containing the artificial blood onto the boat.

"I'll be fine." Ryō said with his rifle in hand. "Did you make sure to have the area blocked off?"

"All roads leading to this area have been blocked. We've also broadcasted a warning for everyone to stay away from the area." Hiroshi assured. Unless someone traveling by feet got here, nothing else should make it to the area.

"Good." Ryō said before turning to Dai. "Make sure you stay close to me. I'm counting on you."

"Hai." Dai said before he went to his bike, put on his helmet and was ready to begin the operation.

"Alright, I'm off then." Ryō said before he turned on the engine of the boat and was soon off with Dai following close behind on land.

"Be careful you two!" Hiroshi shouted before the two of them were gone.

(Hospital)

"And where do you think you're going?" Mizore, standing by the door, said as Keita had finished putting on his clothes. "It'll be a big problem if you left now."

"Why the hell do you care?" Keita said, adjusting his vest.

"I'm a doctor. I'm supposed to care." Mizore said. "The results of your check are in. You know, ff you keep ignoring your illness, it'll cost you your life."

"Doesn't matter. I'm not afraid to die." Keita said, turning to Mizore. "It's part of being a damn human, after all."

"Nani?" Mizore raised in eyebrow.

"If I became an Unidentified Lifeform…An Unidentified Lifeform would understand what I'm trying to say. Since I'm the same as them, they would understand me better than humans could."

"You…"

"Dying…Are you afraid of it!?" Keita shouted.

*Crack!*

Keita stopped talking when Mizore bit down on the lollipop she had in her mouth, crushing it. He watched as the woman munched on the remains, throwing the stick away, before swallowing and said, "Come with me. I want to show you something good."

Despite Keita's body telling him no, Keita followed the women autopsy room. Being a normal man, he didn't know what room he was in until Mizore walked to the only table in the room and removed the cloth draped over a body.

"What do you think?" Mizore asked as Keita stared at the naked body wide eyed. "This right here is a corpse. His brain can no longer absorb or make up strange theories and fantasies. He can't dream anymore and he'll never wake up again. Take a good look. This right here…is death."

Mizore watched as Keita held himself back from puking his guts out, heaving expected the man to react like he did before speaking again.

"Sooner or later, you'll die just like I or any other living being will die sooner or later." Mizore said. "How you make use of your remaining time is all up to you. I would never allow some kind of Unidentified Lifeform to come and end the lives of human beings!" After declaring that did Mizore take out Keita's pocket knife which he had been looking for. "I got this from my friend earlier. You should seriously think about the meaning of death. How you use this thing…is all up to you."

Keita takes a moment to gather his bearings before he takes back his knife and leaves the room. Mizore simply watches him go before she drapes the cloth back over the corpse before takes out another lollipop, grape falvor, and pops it into her moth before leaving the room.

(Verone Academy)

"Alright, I think I'll end things early today." Kometsuki said, putting down the manga before stretching in his seat, the outside showing that the sun was setting and the sky was orange. Getting up, he grabbed the manga's he had read today and placed them back into the box where he kept all confiscated items until he saw Mepple and picked him up. "Is this some sort of cellphone? Why is it so hot?" He tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. "Ugh, blasted thing. I'll investigate it more on my way home."

Grabbing his stuff, he placed Mepple inside his bag before taking his leave. He opened the door, closed it behind him, and locked it, not knowing about the girls behind the pile of supplies who were about to doze off it if wasn't for Kometsuki appearing.

"Nagisa." Honoka shook her friend a little before she fell asleep. Nagisa blinked and shook herself awake before the two peeked behind the supplies and watched as Kometsuki turned a corner and disappeared. After waiting a few seconds, the two got out from the supplies and went to the door.

"It's locked." Nagisa said after trying to open the door.

"What do we do?" Honoka asked when all of a sudden…

"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!" The sound of Kometsuki screaming drew their attention.

"That was Kyoto-sensei!" Honoka said before the two threw caution to the wind and ran towards the scream. When they turned the corner, they saw someone rummaging through Kometsuki who was on the floor, unconscious.

"Who are you!? What do you think you're doing!?" Nagisa demanded.

The person in question then found what it was looking for which was none other than Mepple.

"Mepple!" Honoka pointed out

"What do you want with him!?" Nagisa demanded when the person raised its head and it turns out the person wasn't actually a 'person', rather it was a mannequin wide the left side showing the inside of the body, giving a very scary sight that outright scared the girls.

The girls screamed in fright and the volume increased when the mannequin jumped and landed right in front of them. They screamed like girls their age would before their bodies reacted.

Instead of running, they both threw a punch to the mannequin's face, making it stumble back before Nagisa and Honoka, the latter jumping over Nagisa, kicked the mannequin with Nagisa's kick hitting the mannequin's chest and Honoka's hitting the head as the mannequin was sent flying, dropping Mepple as the mannequin flew and fell into pieces.

Honoka landed on the ground while Nagisa lowered her leg and the girls looked in surprise at what they had done.

"…We really need to thank Dai-kun later." Nagisa said after a moment of silence.

Honoka just nodded before Nagisa went and picked Mepple off the floor before both the girls ran through the halls and out the building. While doing so, Nagisa spoke.

"Hey, did you notice that that mannequin had the mark of a Zakenna on its head." Nagisa asked.

"I did notice it. Which means that guy is probably here." Honoka said, talking about Gekidrago.

"That's right!" A third voice spoke.

The girls stopped running and looked towards where the voice had come from.

"The Statue of Tomorrow spoke!?" Nagisa said in confusion until she saw who was in place of the statue.

"Oga!" It was none other than Gekidrago.

"It's you again!" Honoka said.

"So that Zakenna earlier was…" Nagisa began.

"That's right." Gekidrago said as he leaped off the pedestal and went to jump down onto the girls to crush them under his feet, but the girls leaped back, avoiding his attack.

"We don't have time for this. We need to cure Mepple!" Nagisa said, annoyed at the timing Gekidrago had.

"I won't let you escape." Gekidrago said before he pointed to the school building and shouted. "Zakenna!"

The entire school rumbled as the girls tensed up, waiting to see what would pop out. They did not expect the mannequin from earlier only now the size of a giant that completely freaked the girls out.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me!" Nagisa said.

"Zakenna! Stomp them flat!" Gekidrago ordered as the lower part of the Mannequin Zakenna which were the legs stomped towards them.

"ZAKENNA!" The Zakenna roared as the legs raised its right leg…and stomped on Gekidrago.

A moment of silken took place as the girls couldn't believe what had just happened. It was so unbelievable that Nagisa couldn't help, but face palm herself at the ridiculousness.

'I'm starting to think Dai-kun's enemies are much smarter than ours.' Nagisa thought.

Honoka shook herself out of her stupor and said, "Now's our chance to transform!"

"Right!" Nagisa said as they both slashed their cards and soon, they were surrounded by light.

"Duel Aurora Wave!"

The usual pillar of light and color appeared and blinded the Zakenna before it died down and the girls were garbed in their outfits.

"Hikari no shisha, Cure Black!"

"Hikari no shisha, Cure White!"

"Futari wa PreCure!"

"Servant of the Dark Power…"

"Return to the darkness from which you came!" Immediately after Nagisa said that did she stumble a bit, sweating a lot.

"Black!" Honoka quickly helped her friend steady and asked "What's wrong? You're sweating a lot."

"It must be Mepple." Nagisa guessed as she felt herself burning up. Was this how sick Mepple was?

Gekidrago used his strength to get the foot off of him before he removed himself from the ground and pointed to the girls. "Stomp them!"

"ZAKENNA!"

The Zakenna responded as the legs stomped towards the girls while the other part of the Zakenna which was the upper body crawled towards them.

"This doesn't look good." Nagisa said. "What do we do?"

"Hmm…" Honoka analyzed the situation and saw how the upper body was just behind the legs. "We need to knock those legs down on the upper body."

Nagisa saw what Honoka meant and nodded before the two charged towards the legs. Gekidrago attempted to punch them, but they jumped over him and continued towards the legs. The legs in question raised its right foot and went to stomp on them, but they leaped forwards and avoided getting crushed before they both jumped and kicked the back of the legs, making it bend and topple down towards them and the upper body. Only the upper body was unlucky as the girls leaped out of the way while the lower body landed right on top of the upper body, crushing it.

"Why you!" Angry, Gekidrago charged towards Nagisa, throwing a punch towards the black Cure, but she jumped over his punch and him and kicked the back of his head, sending the Dark Zone General flying, crashing into his Zakenna as Nagisa landed down to her knees while Honoka ran up to her.

"Are you okay?" Honoka asked, worried as Nagisa was breathing heavily despite not doing that much in this fight.

"I'm fine. I gotta do my best for Mepple." Nagisa said before getting up to her feet and said, "Let's finish this!"

Honoka nodded, ready to finish this now so they can take care of Mepple as they both clasped hands and raised their other hands to the sky.

"Black Thunder!"

"White Thunder!"

*BOOM!*

"Purikyua no utsukushiki tamashī ga…"

"... Jaaku na kokoro wo uchikudaku!"

Gekidrago got back up, holding and shaking his head before he turned to the girls and knew that things were not about to go his way.

"Pretty Cure Marble Screw!"

The girls thrusts their hands out and the spiral black and white attack surged towards Gekidrago who crossed his arms and defended against the attack, refusing to be beaten again!

"Just wait, Mepple! I'll help you right now!" Nagisa spoke as she and Honoka continued to send their attack at Gekidrago. The girls then tighten their grip and that seemed to send a reaction as their attack suddenly got stronger, surprising Gekidrago before he was sent flying into the air, disappearing from view as the Zakenna spirit removed itself from the mannequin and cried out.

"Zakenna!" The dark spirit cried out before it exploded into the usual black, apologizing stars before they too disappeared, leaving the girls all alone.

"We did it!" Honoka said, smiling.

"Somehow…" Nagisa said before she was about to fall to her knees if it wasn't for Honoka catching her.

"Cancel the transformation no before you catch Mepple's sickness!" Mipple said from Honoka's carrier.

Nagisa did just that as she canceled her transformation as well as Honoka. Instantly Nagisa felt better as she stopped sweating and no longer felt hot.

"That was close." Nagisa said before he took Mepple out and grabbed the Parupu card and swiped it quickly. Soon after that, a bubble appeared from Mepple, showing Mepple in bed with the fairy nurse with a huge syringe.

"Time for your injection!" The nurse said as one look at the needle and Mepple cowered back into his bed, making the mistake of leaving his behind open.

"Please, don't do it! Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it, don't it…!"

"I won't allow this selfishness. This one shot will cure you immediately." The nurse said before she raised her syringe and with one stab, Mepple cried out in pain before he suddenly fell asleep and the bubble popped.

"The fever's lifting!" Nagisa said, noticing Mepple starting to cool down.

"Thank goodness." Honoka said, moving Mipple close to Mepple was sound asleep.

"Mepple…" Mipple said, glad that her lover was alright now. She then turned to the girls and said, "Minna, arigato(Evveryone, thank you)!"

"Don't mention it." Nagisa said as she and Honoka put the fairies away.

"Now, for Kyoto-sensei." Honoka as she and Nagisa went to check to see if the man was okay.

(Meanwhile, with Dai)

A few hours have passed since the operation had begun. Dai watched from afar as Ryō released the artificial blood into the water, leaving a trail as the man continued to drive the boat.

'Where is he?' Dai thought, having expected Biran to pop up sooner than later.

Just as Dai finished that thought did he see the boat Ryō was one rock as if something had crashed into it. Ryō did his best to steady the boat before he turned around and saw Biran appearing from the water and grabbing onto the back of the boat. Quickly, Ryō grabbed his rifle while Dai from a distance summoned the Arcle.

"Henshin!" Dai shouted as the belt responded to his feelings and donned him in his Dragon form. Dai immediately jumped the second Biran got onto the boat and quickly grabbed the rifle aimed at him and pushed it away as the bullet whizzed past his head. He grabbed the riddle away from Ryō and bashed him across the face with it before dropped the riddle to the floor and grabbed Ryō, picking him up and was about to sink his teeth into him if it weren't for Dai who easily made it to the boat thanks to Dragon form's jumping ability and quickly grabbed Biran, stopping him from hurting Ryō. All three of them struggled around until Dai managed to force Biran to let go of Ryō, but accidently knocked the man into the water before he and Biran soon followed and fell into the water.

Ryō gasped for air as he resurfaced and looked around until he saw Dai and Biran struggling with each other before they both sank into the water, disappearing. He looked around to spot any sign of them when he saw something he didn't expect to see.

"You have got to be kidding me. Why is he here!?" Ryō said as on land near the river was none other than Keita.

Keita, who had taken a cab to go somewhere when he heard the news about the Unidentified Lifeform being nearby, came here as soon as he could. He was gonna prove them all wrong, that the Unidentified Lifeform can understand him! He just needed to meet one face to face and talk to it.

*SPLASH!*

Keita jumped in surprise when appearing from the water and landing was none other than Biran, landing right next to him. Keita stepped back in surprise and fright before he forced himself to calm down as Biran turned to Keita.

This was the chance he was looking for. The chance to prove them all wrong! Calming himself down, Keita spoke. "I-I am…!"

But Keita never got to finish as the words spoken from Biran sent chills down his spine.

"The prey."

All it took was one glance to Biran's cutters for Keita to run for his life. Biran of course was not about to let the man get away. The Gegeru was a game and he intended to win it. He chased after Keita and got lucky when Keita tripped and fell. He went in for the kill with his cutters when Ryō, who had swam back to land, appeared and tackled him away from Keita.

"What in the world are you doing here!?" Ryō said before saying, "You know what, forget I asked that. Just get away from here!"

The cry of the piranha Grongi alerted Ryō to turn around before he cried out in pain when he was slashed across the chest and was thrown back, falling to the ground. Ryō held his bleeding chest as Biran held up his cutter, ready to finish the man off it wasn't for Dai appearing from the water and grabbed him before bring the Grongi back into the shallow part of the river.

Keita ran behind some cover while Ryō got back up and saw both fighters emerging from the water and taking a stance before Biran attacked first and struck with his left cutter. Dai blocked at the attack before kicking Biran away. Biran stumbled back a bit before recovering and threw a punch, but Dai was able to keep up with Biran this time thanks to Dragon form's speed and deflected the punch before punching Biran's right rib cage, getting a cry of pain from him to show that he was still injured from Ryō's bullet from yesterday. Dai took note of that, ready to exploit it as he blocked Biran's punches to cut him apart and struck Biran's right ribs whenever he could.

"You bastard! Stop hitting my ribs!" Biran demanded as he stumbled back and held his side.

"How about no?" Dai said, speaking Grongi. "Prepare yourself, Me-Biran-Gi, for you've taken your last life!"

"We'll see about that!" Biran said before attacking with his cutters again.

Dai leaned back to avoid the first cutter before jumping up, avoiding the second cuter as Dai landed back on land. The two faced each other and slowly walked sideways before they sprinted in runs before Dai came to a stop and jumped, going to hit Biran with an Axe kick, but the Grongi dodged it and kicked Dai in the back, sending Dai face first into the water before he quickly got back up. That's when he felt something, a long stick that had probably been thrown into the river by either kids playing or by wind. He didn't care as he quickly grabbed it and just as Biran was about to hit him across the face with his cutters, he raised the now converted Dragon Rod and blocks the cutter before both ends extended, the top hitting Biran right under his chin and throwing him back as he held his jaw. Twirling his new weapon in hand, Dai held the staff at ready as Birran growled in anger and charged towards Dai. However, Biran would soon regret charging in recklessly as Dai blocked his first attack aimed for Dai's neck before pushing him back and hitting his left rib cage. Biran held his side as he stumbled back before he attacked again, attacking with both his cutter, but Dai blocked the blades before pushing Biran's arms upwards and kicked the Gorngi away before Dai spun around and struck Biran across the face, sending the Grongi back again. Dai then jumped into the air, slamming the Dragon Rod downward to strike Biran, but he moved out of the way to dodge. Biran then too this chance to thrown a punch to Dai, but Dai struck the arm away before kicking Biran's other arm that was coming at before he struck Biran's head and then used the other end of the staff to hit Biran's right rib cage, getting a loud cry of pain from him as he stumbled back, holding his side as he fell to his knees. Seeing the chance, Dai twirled his staff around before he jumped and executed the Dragon Splash attack, hitting Biran across the chest and sending the Grongi flying back as Dai's mark glowed on Birans chest and when Biran crashed back into the water, an explosion occurred from where he was it.

"He got it." Ryō said, sighing in relief as Keita came out of hiding and stared at the Rider in awe. His awe turned to surprise when Dai's armor disappeared, leaving him in his civilian form.

Dai turned to Keita, smiling in amusement at his expression before he quickly got out of the water and went to Ryō. "Ichijo-san, daijōbu ka(Are you alright)?"

"I'm fine, nothing Tsubaki can't patch up." Ryō said as Dai helped him up to his feet.

"You gotta be kidding me." Keita spoke up, getting Dai and Ryō's attention. "This kid…just saved me?"

"Yep." Dai said with a smile. "I told you the Unidentified Lifeforms aren't who you think they are."

Keita simple looks down in shame before he runs away. Dai sighs as Keita runs before he helps Ryō to get some help. It was a long day and he was ready to go home and eat with Nagisa and her family like always.

(The Next Day)

"Ohayō!" Nagisa said to the now cured Mepple as she had woken up early to see if Mepple was okay and was glad to see he was. "I'm glad you're feeling better, Mepple."

"Hey, Nagisa." Mepple said. "I won't forget how you didn't give me breakfast yesterday. Keep that in mind-mepo!"

"How can you say that?" Nagisa asked, already getting annoyed as her happiness for the fairy seemingly disappeared. "I felt bad and did my best to help you."

"I've forgotten all about that-mepo."

"You do know that your family can hear you, right?" Nagisa jumped in surprise as Dai appeared from her balcony, still dressed in his pajamas.

"Wah! Dai-kun, how many times have I told you to warn me before you enter!?" Nagisa said before she realized what he said. "Wait, my family can hear me?"

"You are pretty loud." Dai said, chuckling as the door opened and both Ryoya and Rie peeked in.

Nagisa could only laugh awkwardly as she scratched her head while thinking how she could explain this to her family.

(Meanwhile, with Ryō)

"I thought I said to lie down." Mizore said as Ryō had finished putting on his clothes.

"My wounds aren't that bad so long as I be careful." Ryō said, butting up his blazer.

"Sigh, men." Mizore said as she ate her cherry flavored lollipop.

Suddenly, from Ryō's pocket, his phone buzzed and he quickly took it out and saw the Caller ID.

"Ms. Natsume?" Ryō said in confusion, wondering what the woman could be calling about before answering. "Hello?"

-Ichijo-san, it's Karen. I have some bad news.-

"What is it?"

-It's the relics. We were transporting them when all of sudden the containers flew up and disappeared!-

"Hello, minna-san!" Mepple greeted the auidience as his lover and their respective partners appeared on stage. "Welcome back for another chapter of Pretty Cure: Rider Fun Facts-mepo!"

"Feels good to be back." Nagisa said.

"Yes. It's been a while since we last did this." Honoka said.

"We apologize for the wait, but the author had school to attend to-mipo." Mipple said.

"What are we talking about today?" Honoka asked.

"Today, we shall be talking about the Group Dai is currently facing, the Me Group-mepo." Mepple said as the members of the Group appeared on screen.

"What makes these guys different from the Zu Group?" Nagisa asked.

"I'm glad you asked. According to the wiki, the Me Group is a Middle tier group, above the ranks of the Zu, and using an abacus to predict the number of people they are to kill and the time period to accomplish that. Their leader is Me-Garima-Ba who won't be appearing anytime soon-mepo."

"So far, counting the ones that appeared, Dai has defeated nine Grongi from the Me Group." Mipple said.

"That's good to hear, but it is worrying to know that these monsters are stronger than the Zu Group." Honoka said.

"Well, you won't have the time to worry as the next chapter is your birthday-mepo." Mepple said.

"It's Honoka's birthday next chapter?" Nagisa asked.

"Yep. Next time, it's Honoka's birthday tomorrow, but from the author told us, it won't as fun as one thinks-mipo." Mipple said.

"I don't like the sound of that." Nagisa said.

"We don't either, but we can't stop it." Mepple said. "Anyway, that's all we have today. Next time, Honoka's parents make an appearance for her birthday as well as something else. What will happen? You'll just have to wait and see. Until then, bye bye-mepo." Mepple said as he and the others waved goodbye.
