Together On a Rainy Day:

The rain came out of nowhere, catching many people off guard. Two of these people were two teenagers, a boy and a girl, who were now rushing to get to a shelter, which ended up being the boy's home.

Upon arriving the boy tried to turn on the lights, but nothing happened.

"Great, a blackout." Sighed Sora before looking back at the girl. "How are you doing Kairi?"

"Soaked to the bones, otherwise fine." said Kairi as she removed her shoes and damp socks. "You?"

"About the sa…"

Sora didn't finish his sentence, instead he just gawked at Kairi with a blush and his mouth slightly open.

"huh? what's wrong?" asked Kairi, raising an eyebrow in confusion. "Do I have something on my…"

As her eyes landed on him, it was her turn to gawk and blush. For the rain had made their school uniforms see through, giving each a look at the other's chests. After not being able to pry their eyes for a few seconds, Kairi turned her head away while Sora looked down.

"... We should probably change out of these clothes." said Sora as both of their blushes grew.

"y...yeah." Kairi nodded.

"You can go ahead and use the shower if you want, I'll get you some of mom's clothes."

"You sure she won't mind?"

"Yeah, If it's you, she won't."

"Okay… Thanks."

With that awkward exchange, Kairi left to shower, both of them unable to get the images they saw out of their minds.

After preparing a change of clothes for Kairi, Sora changed out of his soaked uniform as well and went to grab a couple candles in the kitchen. It took him some time to find them as neither he nor his mom were very organized, but he finally stumbled into a few. He lit up one and was about to do the same with the second, until he froze as he felt something blow in the back of his neck.

"Hi Sora, I am done." Kairi giggled as she finished blowing.

"Kairi! Don't do th…" He said, about to turn around.

"Don't look back." she said sternly.

Her ordering tone made him freeze again, unsure of what was going on.

"I saw the clothes you left for me… They were a bit too big… So… Can you guess what I am wearing?" she asked, her tone now sounding more flirty.

"W… What?" Sora asked, his face burning and his voice shaking.

"Did I keep my soaked see through clothes? or I am just wandering around in my underwear… or maybe…. nothing at all?"

"Y… you're joking… right?" he stuttered, his face so red it looked like it was about to explode.

"You really want to know? then…"

She grabbed his shoulders and turned him around, the boy closed his eyes on instinct, until he heard her laugh.

"You should see your face!"

Opening his eyes, he saw she was indeed wearing the clothes he got for her, they were a bit big but still fit her.

"K… Kairi! That was not funny!"

"You're right, it wasn't funny, It was hilarious!" she laughed even louder.

"For the love of…" he grumbled, turning back to light the candles.

"Common, take a joke, Mister Grumpy." she giggled, poking his cheek from behind.

The boy didn't respond, although he didn't stop her either. He took the candles to the living room and put them on the table, then the two of them took a seat on the couch.

"Looks like it's not stopping anytime soon." Said Sora as he looked through a window. "You should text your grandma and tell her where you are, she might get worried."

"Way ahead of you." she laughed. "What about your mom? she's coming back late again today?"

"Yeah, As usual." he sighed.

"So I guess it's just you and me… and this stupid cold… Got any blankets around here?"

"Well duh we do…" he said, but then his tone changed into a more serious one. "But… we don't need any to get warmer."

"I beg to differ." she said as she rubbed her cold arms.

But Sora slowly grabbed her hand and squeezed it, then gently put his other hand on her thigh.

"If you let me, I can help you get warmer." he said in a soft voice.

"... Huh?!" she blurted out, she could already feel warmer, especially around the face. "W… Wa… wa… wa.. wait... You mean… Are you talking about…"

"You don't want to?"

"No! I mean Yes! I mean…" The girl kept babbling, not able to talk or think clearly with the heat climbing to your head.

Her babbling was interrupted when Sora started Laughing.

"You should see your face." he giggled.

"W… What?! That was not…."

"Not funny?" He finished her sentence.

"That's…"

"What's wrong? can't take your own medicine?"

The girl puffed her cheeks, and grumpily turned her head away.

"Well look at that, Looks like we can be Mr and Mrs Grumpy now." he said, leaning to kiss her forehead.

She didn't respond, but didn't stop him either.

Afterward, Sora got up to get a blanket as she had asked earlier, Upon returning he noticed she was still looking pretty down.

"Don't tell me you're still mad." he chuckled.

"I am not mad… well maybe a little, but not that's not the problem." she said.

"Then what IS the problem?"

"You couldn't have known this when you suggested we…"

"You can say it Kairi, there aren't any children around."

"I see one right in front of me." she teased while sticking out her tongue, which just made Sora chuckle again.

"Yes, clearly you are the true example of maturity here." he teased back.

"Never said I was." she shrugged. "But seriously… It has been something that's been plaguing my mind a lot lately."

"Kairi… If I've done anything that made you feel pressured…"

"No! no! it's not that at all!" she assured. "It's just… I am nervous of what will happen the day we get to it. Neither of us has any experience, and this stuff can make or break a relationship… Whenever I think about it, I always have that fear in the back of my head that we'll have a terrible first time, and wonder how we'll go from there."

Sora grabbed her hand again, scooching closer to her, they both stayed silent for a bit, with the boy deep in thought.

"... We've had plenty of terrible first times." he said, breaking the silence.

"What do you mean?"

"Like… remember the first time we tried to hold hands?" he asked.

"oh… that…" she said with an awkward laugh.

"What about our first date?"

"oh gosh…" She covered her face with one hand out of embarrassment.

"Do I even need to remind you of our first kiss?"

"Please don't!" she pleaded, burying her face in both of her hands.

"And if you could, would you change how any of that went?"

She thought about it for a few seconds, before taking her hands off her face and answering.

"not a thing." she said with a smile. "That's what makes us… Well, us! we make mistakes, we embarrass ourselves, and we're extremely cringe worthy… and I love that about us."

"See, we don't need to be perfect, we just need to do things our way." he shrugged with a smile. "And there's no rush, so no reason to worry about it now, right?"

"You know what, I think you make a good point." she nodded.

"I can make a few of those once in a while."

"I'll be focusing on the here and now, and here and now I am freezing and all I want is to cuddle with my boyfriend."

They did just that, Cuddling in each other's arms before throwing the blanket over them.

"Ha! ha! All your body heat is belong to us!" Kairi laughed, resting her head on the boy's chest.

"Now THAT is cringe worthy." he teased.

"Oh just shut up and kiss me!"

The rest of the evening was a calm one, the two teens spending it in each other's arms and keeping one another warm until they fell into a blissful sleep.

Sora's mother came in late, finding the two of them still embracing in their sleep, with a smile on her face, she took out her phone and took a photo.

That was going straight to her "Teasing Sora" Folder.
