Chapter 3 - The Warehouse
"What happened, did you hear from Natalie?" He asked.
Ashley didn't respond so Henry did.
"They took her, just after Ash had left her at the hospital they grabbed her and took off."
"Are you serious! Well what are we going to do now?"
….
Back at the warehouse Helen is handcuffed to one of the poles in the middle of the room. Shortly after arriving in Atlanta she headed to the address she was given, but when she arrived she was met by 3 men who shot her with a tranquilliser and knocked her out. When she came to she found herself here cuffed to the pole with Scott sitting in front of her on a chair. He just laughed when she woke up saying,
"Oh Helen, how silly of you to think that this would be easy for you. Did you really think that by coming here to meet me would really make any difference to what i have planned?"
She blinked a few time to get rid of the grogginess that was left by the remnants of the tranq,
"How dare you? Where is she, what have you done to her?" She asked angrily.
"I haven't done anything to her." he paused, "yet" then laughed.
With that he began to explain to her that the only reason he didn't have her already was that she was currently at work and it was too difficult to get her while she was there, as it would be very hard to go unnoticed that she had suddenly disappeared on them. So the plan was to wait until she had finished for the day and grab her on the way out. After explaining what was going on he got up and left leaving her to think about what he had just told her.
Scott comes back half an hour later, Helen can see that he is now very angry and agitated.
"So how did you think you could keep this from me? You had to know that i would find out." He spat out.
"You know what my thoughts were about this. You knew i never wanted anything like this." He was getting worked up and Helen knew this was only going to make things worse.
"How could you give birth to this women, knowing that i would disapprove of it?" he started to ramble not letting Helen have a chance at saying anything. Not that she could say anything as she was in shock, he had found out her secret and she knew that he was not going to let her daughter survive. She can't believe that after all this time the one person she hoped never to find out just did. Scott began to pace in front of her, looking at her while moving back and forth across the floor. All of a sudden her came at her grabbing her by the throat,
"So your not going to deny this, proving that I am correct and that she is indeed my daughter?"
"How? How did you find out?" She croaked his grip not wavering on her throat.
"Well as I said I came across this very familiar looking women here in Atlanta a few months back, I was here for some work when things got a but out of hand and i somehow ended up in her hospital." He started telling her that story of how he had come to this information, while speaking he let go of his grip around her throat and moved backed to the chair that was still sitting in front of Helen. He continued his story,
"While there in the hospital I saw this women walking around treating other patients, which is why I thought she was you. I must say the resemblance is quite astonishing really, how you got away with people not knowing is amazing." He stopped for a moment with the memory of that day coming back to him.
"I soon realised that it couldn't be you as she was getting called by a different name and she didn't have your accent either."
"After following this women for a few hours I decided I needed to know more, how could this person look so much like you but not be you. Also by judging by how old she looked I started to have suspicions."
At that point she couldn't do or say anything, her mind was running at a mile a minute with a mixture of anger, shock and also worried about what was going to happen to her daughter now. It was long before she was going to find out though, as one of Scott's men walks up to him and whispers something in his ear. Scotts nods to the man and turns back to Helen with a grin on his face,
"She's just arrived my dear Helen, you must excuse me while I go greet our guest." He walked of while quietly laughing to himself.
Soon she hears the doors to the warehouse opening, she gets her hopes up just a little hoping to see her daughter without any harm done to her. Unfortunately though she is out of luck when she sees Scott walking in followed by one of his men carrying her daughter who appears to be knocked out.
"Handcuffed her to that pole there." He says pointing to the pole that is to Helens right.
"What have you done to her?" Helen asks.
"Oh don't you worry, i haven't done anything major just yet. She just had a little run in with a pole." laughs Scott.
"Plus I wouldn't dare do anything to her without you watching, that way you know exactly what I do to her."
He steps closer to one of his men,
"Come and get me when she wakes up."
The man nodded at his boss, he didn't understand what was going on but what his boss says is what he must do.
Natalie starts to groan, her head is throbbing off to her left she hears someone whispering but she cannot quite make out what they are saying. It takes a couple of minutes for the world to stop spinning and her ears to stop ringing, that's when she finally recognises the voice and what the person next to her is saying,
"Natalie" Helen whispers seeing that her daughter is starting to stir.
"Natalie" she repeats.
"Mom" Natalie finally replies, looking at her mother.
"I'm sorry mom, this shouldn't be happening."
"You have no reason to be sorry Natalie, this is all my fault none of yours ok." Helen tries to convince her daughter not to believe she could have any blame on their current situation. Little did the realise that the man that was watching them had disappeared, off to go get his boss now that the new women was awake again.
He walks over,
"Wow! Now that you two are in the same room the resemblance between you is even more apparent, if I didn't know which person was on which pole I wouldn't be able to tell you two apart." Scotts says breaking up their quick conversation.
"Now do either of you two ladies wish to say anything before we begin tonight's festivities?" He questions.
Helen looks over to her daughter quickly making sure that she is ok, that's when she catches the ever so quick look in Natalie's eyes that tells her that she has a plan of some sort. She tries to give Natalie a look of her own that tells her not to go through with whatever she had planned, but Natalie just gives her another look that show Helen that it was their only option and to go along with it. She just nods and turns back to facing Scott, who didn't miss that they were having some sort of silent conversation and with that he got very angry.
"Oh look mommy and daughter having a heartfelt conversation before everything in their lives changes." He looks at his men one next to both of the women, the next thing they know is a punch going into both of their sides. He walks up close to Natalie,
"You might think that you have a plan that will get you out of this, but I can assure you that it will not works out for you." He slaps her.
For the next couple of hours they sit there being tortured, Natalie physically and Helen mentally having to watch her daughter go through al this pain and not being able to stop it. She wished that she knew what Natalie had planned and hoped that what ever it was would happen soon. After another round or two of punches Scotts pipes up,
"Ok that's enough for now guys, you all head out for a bit while I have a little chat with these two. Go!" He ordered.
Natalie sighed thankfully, she knew this was the moment she needed she quickly looks to her mom her with a look that tells her she is about to unleash her plan and to try and go along with it.
"Would you to stop doing that?" Scott yelled.
"Just sit there and don't do anything, alright?"
He went back to pacing trying to work out his next move in his plan, a moment later he is suddenly thrown to the floor. He tried to yell for his men to get back in here and help but his mouth has been covered by a hand.
"Don't yell for them, if you want to sort this out you need to do it yourself." Natalie whispers in his ear.
She had manage to get her handcuffs off with little effort not that he had any idea of how she did it, he to the risk of glancing over at Helen to see if she had also gotten free. To his relief he saw that she was still handcuffed to her pole, she saw that she was secretly shock herself at how Natalie had freed herself but also saw that she was proud of her daughter that she was able to handle herself so well.
"Ok fine you want me to do this myself." He looked back at her with a grin on his face, next thing she knew was something sharp entering her side.
He laughed when she fell off of him, he then got on top on her and threw a few good punches to her face before he violently ripped the knife out of her side, he knew that without medical attention soon that this would kill her. He gets up and starts to make his way over to Helen where he could sit next to her while she watched her daughter die right in front of her. But what he didn't expect was to feel the sting of a needle being stuck into his neck, as he turn he saw her face as she herself got a good punch to his face in that sent him flying to the floor. She crouch's down next to him,
"Bet you didn't think this would happen. Unlike for you I have know about you for quite some time and I am very aware of your current medical conditions, so you see this little needle here that your men didn't find while searching me on our way here, this needle contains the very medication that would aggravate your condition and kill you without leaving so much as a trace as to it being injected." She looks him dead in the eye,
"Just when you thought that you were close to winning this now you are the one that is going to die tonight, not me." She gave him a grin of her own.
That's when it hit him he started to feel the medication in his system taking affect, it was starting to get harder and harder to breath. He looks over to see her moving to her mother releasing her handcuffs, they then both get up and make their way over to the door on the other side of the warehouse away from where his men are, he tries again to yell out for his men to come and help but his voice fails him, all he can do is watch as the two women he tried to hurt and kill walking away from him. Suddenly Natalie stumbles to the ground, this makes him happy as he thinks that even though he was dying he could see that it looked like that he may have succeeded in killing his daughter. That's when everything go dark for him and he takes his last breath. It was over even though his life had ended, and by the looks of it his daughters life was over as well, but was it….
