"She's just out walking the dog," spoke Nicky as she rose to her feet.

"Ok, right," Piper murmured as she pulled out the bottle of wine from the bag. "What are you doing here?" She knew she already asked this, however she was still confused on why Nicky was in her apartment and not her girlfriend.

"I just stopped by to see Alex," explained Nicky as she walked around the couch and over to where Piper stood. "Don't worry Chapman. I'm not staying to ruin your evening."

Piper sighed at this. "Look Nicky. You don't have to rush off. I'm sorry about earlier."

"It's all good Chapman," Nicky placed a reassuring hand on Piper's arm. "I've to get home to the fiance anyways."

"Oh yes. How is the wedding planning going anyways?" asked Piper, her face breaking out into a grin. Nicky and Lorna had gotten engaged just over a month ago now. "If you need any help with anything..let me know. I have some stuff left over from my own wed-...you know thing."

Nicky just grinned in at Piper in her signature way. "I'll surely let Lorna know. She's the one planning this whole thing. I just have to fucking show up."

Piper couldn't help but laugh at this. Lorna of course was planning the whole thing by herself. "Do you want to stay for a drink?" she asked holding up the bottle of wine to Nicky.

"Nah. I'm good."

Just then the apartment door was opening and Alex came in. The brunette unleashed a very happy Angie who barked and immediately went over to Piper. The blonde turned her attention immediately onto the dog. She bent down and began to pet Angie, murmuring sweet nothings to him.

"Hey babe," greeted Alex as she closed the door.

"You still here?" asked Alex, addressing Nicky. She'd thought Nicky would have left by now.

"Just leaving now," said Nicky.

"So what are the plans for tonight?" asked Alex as she closed the door behind Nicky and turned towards Piper.

"This isn't wine," spoke Alex as she took another sip. No, this was definitely not wine. It was more like some sugary juice than wine. "I;m going to have a beer, instead." The brunette walked past Piper and put the full glass onto the counter, before opening the fridge door and grabbing a beer.

"Whatever. More for me," commented Piper as she took a sip from her glass. She quite enjoyed the sweetness of the wine.

A few drinks later, the couple found themselves in the bedroom.
