Lincoln was put to bed while Charlie and Vaggie were checking over the vein marks on his arms with Alastor nearby smirking having been told of the story. "So now our family will be thinking Lincoln has been kidnapped, quite ill and I think there might some ambulance chaser who will want to see that guy about suing you for assault kid. When it is time for Lincoln here to rejoin our family, I want to be there just to see how you go about explaining everything because it is certain to be a glorious nightmare." Alastor said smirking as Vaggie glared at him and told him to leave.
Alastor humphed as he went out o the door but made room for Lucifer there to enter, "Hope you don't mind me letting myself in. Now let's take a look at the patient." Alastor said as he went to inspect Lincoln's arm with the human as well as Charlie and Vaggie look on in concern. "I feared what would happen if you were out in the human world for too long thanks to the runes but fear not. Nothing too serious and we have it healed just fine." Lucifer said as they were relieved.
"That's great Dad... Wait, you said 'we'?" Charlie asked noticing but then came flying through the door was the form of a smiling bright form of Deerie with her halo with Lincoln noticing that she looked different from the demons that he had seen. "Aunt Deerie!" Charlie shouted amazed as Deerie happily pulled her into a hug.
"Charlotte... Yeah... No, sorry you prefer Charlie, don't you? Last time I saw you were about half my size but look at you now, you could hold me in your arms yourself! Plus is this Vagatha I have heard about?" Deerie asked with a huge smile as Charlie pulled her into a hug as well before she looked to Vaggie who looked weirded out as she waved. "You must be Lincoln Loud, give a hand to my hoof. I promise you that we are all committed to helping you make the best for a bad situation." Deerie greeted Lincoln as the hug ended and she put out her hoof to Lincoln as she shaken it.
"You don't look like a demon and the thing over your head, are you an angel?" Lincoln asked as Deerie looked amused.
"Deerie here is what you call a Cherub and is actually the Head Cherub in Heaven and she was my best friend back in Heaven, we kept in touch and I even made her Charlie's godmother." Lucifer introduced her as Deerie waved to them.
"Luci here broke our group's hearts when he did that whole stage a coup against the Lord, got himself banished and got our bowling team disqualified before the finals in the Heavenly Bowling Grand Championship Tournament!" Deerie said before glaring up at Lucifer.
"You will never let that go, will you?" Lucifer asked with his arms folded as Deerie then spit her tongue at him. "Anyway, let us be your doctors in looking over your little arm!" Lucifer said as they gotten closer and then inspected Lincoln's arm. Deerie did a little prayer and muttering before they both had their hands (or hooves in Deerie's case) over the veins and soon it disappeared much to the relief of Lincoln, Charlie and Vaggie.
"Thanks so much for that but you think that you can please tell me what exactly happened? What happens if I do end up in the human world for too long? Do I die?" Lincoln decided to ask and the occupants of the room looked concerned as Lucifer and Deerie nervously looked at eachother and went into a huddle whispering to eachother.
A second later they let go as Lucifer said "well you see Lincoln, the runes that interfered with the portal... It created demonic energy into you and until we fix it, being out of Hell for too long will cause a transformation. You're not exactly fully human right now and the more exposure for too long in the human world will make you less and less!" Lucifer explained much to the shock and horror of Lincoln, Charlie and Vaggie as the two demons went to comfort him.
"Now don't worry, won't be like you will be unable to go to Heaven or that it can't be fixed, there are methods on dealing with this and we just have to find the best way for you. I am not saying that you won't be able to live a life on Earth anymore, I am just saying that you will be able to pull off some cool tricks to impress your friends." Deerie stated trying to sound as reassuring as possible as she gave them a minute to take it in. Deerie then popped up papers into her hooves and said "Yeah... No... Sorry, I know this might not be the most inappropriate time but as long as I am here there is paperwork or rather a questionnaire really for you to answer. Plus some signatures which will be really helpful in the paperwork to give you a new guardian angel for when you go back to your life on Earth. The Lord knows that you will need their help to survive with your sisters."
Lincoln glared at Deerie but nonetheless looked at the questionnaire and papers filling them out and passed them forward, "So are you calling out my sisters too just because they aren't perfect? How about Lucifer who apparently laughed in his daughter's face when she told him about her project?" Lincoln asked shocking most of the occupants apart from Lucifer who jsut smiled.
Before they could say something Lucifer said calmly "no you lot, Lincoln here has the right to speak his mind. How about you let us have a nice conversation alone? Don't worry the patient is in good hands and feel free to spy through the keyholes." They then nervously went to the door with Charlie having to drag Vaggie out as she was looking at Lucifer accusatory.
Lincoln suddenly looked afraid and wondered if he made the right call but put on a brave face and said "You seemed nice when I saw you and Charlie does seem to love you but I ended up hearing about how unsupportive you have been of her dream." Lucifer then gave a slight nod and suddenly Lincoln's bed was now beside the window as Lucifer then opened it up.
"Please take a few minutes in looking out this window with me Lincoln, get a good look at the denizens that Charlie wants to help." Lucifer told him and Lincoln looked down and it was not very pleasant as most of the time at best they were quite rude to eachother, a lot of words that had been long forbidden in the Loud House were being freely used and people were fighting or just being unpleasant on the streets. "Do you see Lincoln; most of these in their lifetimes were murderers, thieves and with more unpleasant professions that i would rather you not hear about. They got here in Hell for a reason and don't see a reason to change themselves. From your time spent here, do you think that most here deserves a chance?" Lucifer asked as Lincoln struggled to think off his response.
"Well... How about the Imps who were born and raised here? How about those truly repentant and would take the chance to repent?" Lincoln asked as Lucifer gave a nod.
"Fair enough but the amount of hard work and effort it would take to find those actually willing to change. Plus as I said most don't want to change and ridicule Charlie as she tries to pitch her plans. I love Charlie with all my heart but she is too good and soft for Hell with her plans that never show gratitude and is a laughing stock." Lucifer said shaking his head.
"How do they do that? Isn't she your daughter and the Princess?" Lincoln asked alarmed and Lucifer shook his head as he put a hand on his shoulder.
"Lincoln listen here, do you think that people here actually respect my authority and the throne? No! They do not; do you know why they follow my rule regardless?" Lucifer asked and Lincoln shook his head. "Fear, that is how I get them in line. They know that going against my rule is unwise as I can easily ruin them physically and emotionally without breaking a sweat, not that I am capable of sweating but you get the idea. Fear is how I get them in line, Charlie is my daughter with the power that it entails and if she really wanted to then she could easily destroy that great-great uncle of your's. You can criticise my methods Lincoln and I freely admit that I am not perhaps the best parent in existence by a large margin but I choose to show tough love for Charlie out of a worry that she is just setting herself up for failure." Lucifer explained to him with a smile as Lincoln hated that how much sense he was making.
"Before you try and compare how I show my love to your family, do you think it was out of tough love that you were kicked out of your home for a superstition?" Lucifer asked as Lincoln just looked down thinking about how his sisters can be better than their previous actions and hopefully they will show it.
Then suddenly there was a poof as there was now a floating sheep cherub looking at a clipboard. "Sorry to interupt King Lucifer Sir but the construction of the false pearly white gates is almost complete..." the sheep said before looking up from his clipboard noticing Lincoln and asked "Hey Sir, is that the human child you hope will be your adopted grandson..."
Lincoln was wondering about what he had just said when suddenly Lucifer had the sheep in his arms while covering his mouth, "Lincoln, please meet Collin my new assistant. He was recently fired as a cherub for causing the death of a human and Dearie feeling bad for him out of his associates recommended him to me to fill the assistant job which has been vacant since my last one got Exterminated. I am still breaking him in." Lucifer explained with a smile before his face grew into a glare and taking him by the throat he quietly said into this face "and that will be quite literal if you don't learn to watch what you say in front of the wrong people!"
Collin then nodded terrified as Lucifer let go off him, Lincoln feeling scared and forgetting to ask about the grandson comment asked "what about the false white gates thing?"
"Don't tell anyone but it's one of my best ideas in a long time: I plan for Sinners to first arrive on cloud with a golden gate making them think that they are on their way to Heaven. Just before they reach the top then they plummet down to Hell crushing their relief, hopes, dreams and certainty that they had made the right choices in life at the very last second!" Lucifer explained looking quite pleased for himself as Lincoln thought it sounded funny.
"So are you going to use that on those religious extremists who justify horrible actions in the name of doing God's work? Like wiping out cultures or people because they are not straight or don't conform to their beliefs." Lincoln asked and was scared when he saw that Lucifer had paused and shook his head.
"No, I didn't think of doing that... I really wish that I did though because that idea is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!" Lucifer said taking the surprised Lincoln into a bear hug not unlike the one that Charlie gave him not long after they had met. "If there was any doubt that we were going to get along great kid then its dead now!" Lucifer said with awe sounds coming from the keyholes and sighed knowing that they had been listening the entire time.
The Loud parents were out working and so when Lori had gotten the urgent call from Luna explaining that she and Sam were with Chunk as he was sent to the hospital. Lori managed to ask how was the convention as Luna was strongly encouraged by all to go for a chance to get her spirits up since their missing brother, even Lori had to agreed even if she preferred that everyone be on deck to continue helping with the search. Being told that the trio at the convention had seen Lincoln caused Lori to go into overdrive pushing all at home sisters into Vanzilla and drove as fast the vehicle could drive to the hospital as it was followed by the police cars chasing it for all the red lights and stop signs that had been ignored.
Luna and Sam were in the hospital waiting room as the blonde haired woman had been stronger than she had looked, Chunk would perhaps be unable to walk for at least a month and maybe two. Lori and the Loud sisters were there to talk to them and the police who would be investigating the matter. Their parents were called and were now on their way.
"You really saw Lincoln and he was scared of coming with you? Instead of being relieved that you had found him and could bring him home?" Lynn asked incredulously as Luan and Lucy looked hurt next to her at the news.
"Sam found him first and Lincoln was terrified of coming to her and just stayed with the weird guys that he was with, she tried to reassure him but it seemed like we were the ones that he was to be afraid off." Luna explained as they thought it over and what they had found since he had gone missing.
"Walking out on us after Lori yelling was the last straw, his frustration and a bad crowd must have taken advantage of him to make him hate and scared of us." Leni said with tears in her eyes as they remembered what they had read going through his journal.
"That's not even the worst part of it." Sam said shaking her head looking sad and wishing that she had done earlier to get through to Lincoln. He was right there and she should have done more to help fix her sister's broken family than she had did. They were dreading the part as Sam looked to Luna who sadly nodded.
"Lincoln stopped in pain, we had a glimpse of his arm and there was a sick vein there. He might be ill." Luna explained as their mouths were wide open as they fought back tears.
"We are going to find Lincoln again and when we do we will not let him out of our sight, I caused him to run away and I will fix things. We are going to bring him home safe and sound, make sure that he never doubts that he is a loved member of the family again, do everything i can to earn his forgiveness and I will make his kidnappers pay!" Lori said looking terrifying with the anger in her eyes as well as the fear for her brother's life.
She could only imagine what kind of heartless monsters that Lincoln was stuck with...
Charlie and Vaggie had shown Lucifer, Deerie and Collin to the door and Charlie had given Lucifer a hug which he returned and did the same to Deerie. "You take care now and so do you Collin. Congrats on the new job." Deerie said as they gave their waving goodbyes for now. "Before I leave can I ask if you can please question Lincoln how he feels about the friend of his friend Ronnie Anne named Nikki?" Deerie asked Charlie and Vaggie as they just stared at her confused. "You see my group of cherubs actually have a bet going on with who he ends up with. There are a lot of money on the Ronnie Anne girl with the Girl Jordan and Stella tied for second place and I stand to win a lot if Nikki wins." Deerie explained as they just took this in.
"You bet on who Lincoln ends up with?" Vaggie asked incredulously.
"More common than you think, I lost quite a bit when his friend Liam's grandfather didn't end up with his first crush." Deerie said as Vaggie just opened her mouth while shaking her head.
