Chapter 9
(Three days later)
Naruto and Will were waiting in the park with their Digimon partners for the others to arrive.
"So, which of their parents do you think will try and stop them from coming?" Will asked Naruto, as she leaned against a tree.
"Thought of that. I told them to tell their parents I was putting them through special training for a few weeks" Naruto said with a smile.
"….you do realise when we come back, they will most likely be mad as hell?" Will said with a raised eyebrow.
Before Naruto could say anything, he spotted the others arriving with backpacks.
"I hope that you guys packed the essentials" Will said with a pointed look at Kazu and Kenta.
"Yup. I've got plenty of food, my PJ's, several changes of underwear and some comics to read" Kenta said with a smile.
This caused many of them to give him deadpan looks.
"Did you bring any food?" Will asked Kazu.
"….damn it," Kazu said, as he lowered his head in depression.
"It's fine. I packed plenty of food and equipment in my seals" Naruto said, as he held up a sealing scroll.
"Me too. My dad even gave me a gas stove and some cooking equipment" Henry said with a nod.
"And I brought snacks!" Suzie said happily, as she held up a box of fruit snacks.
"Good job squirt," Will said with a smile at the little girl.
"Ok, we have everything we need and everyone is here" Rika said with a nod at Naruto and Will.
"Uh, how are we gonna get to the Digital World?" Jeri asked curiously.
Naruto smiled at this, as he held out his Digivice. "Azulongmon made it so we can use our Digivices anytime to return to the Digital World and back to the human world" he said.
"Ok, everyone group up" Will said to the group, who all quickly grouped up together.
"Before you kids go, you'll need this" Naruto heard behind him, causing him to turn and see Yamaki, who tossed him something.
When Naruto caught it, he saw that it was a small computer, making Naruto look at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Obviously the human world needs protecting from whatever keeps sending Digimon here, and you kids are our best bet" Yamaki said with a firm tone.
"What's it do?" Takata asked curiously.
"It'll allow us to communicate with each other," Yamaki said, as Naruto placed it in his pocket.
Naruto nodded at this along with the others, before he held out his Digivice and pushed in a button sequence, which caused the Digivice to glow brightly, and soon it formed a digital barrier around the group of Tamers and their Digimon, which soon shot into the air and disappeared.
"Good luck kids" Yamaki thought, as he played with his cigarette lighter.

When the light died down, everyone looked around and saw they were in a desert, with what looked like mountains around them.
"This is the Digital World?" Kazu asked, as he looked around.
"What a gip" Kenta said.
"Look up," Will said, as she pointed up at the sky.
Everyone looked up, and saw that above them it looked like a digital landscape.
They also saw what looked like beams of light shooting down randomly at the ground from the sky.
"What are those?" Takato asked curiously, while the Digimon sniffed and looked around.
"They are to be avoided, otherwise you will get sent somewhere random in the Digital World" Naruto said with a firm tone.
"Avoid beams of light. Okay, good to know" Kazu and Kenta said together with a nod.
"So what's the plan?" Henry asked Naruto curiously.
"We need to find Calumon, and I think I can use my Digivice to track him," Naruto said, as he began to push a few buttons on his Digivice.
"What about the rest of the Deva's? And the Sovereigns?" Jeri asked him in a worried tone.
"Only the flying chicken is an enemy. The other two are neutral" Will said with a scoff.
"You think he'll send any other Digimon out to attack us?" Rika asked curiously, as Renamon kept a look out for enemy attacks.
"Oh, I guarantee he will. Which is why we need to stay alert" Naruto said to his team.
"Do you think any of them will help us?" Suzie asked, as she hugged Lopmon close.
"I'm sure there are some friendly Digimon. But just in case, you stay with us ok?" Will said to Suzie, as she patted her on the head.
"Ok, I have a signal on Calumon I think. So follow me, and remember to stay alert" Naruto said to his group, as he led the way.

(Sometime later)
The group had been walking for quite a while, and Suzie had decided to….
"Heigh-oh, heigh-ho. It's off to find Calumon we go. Heigh-oh, heigh-ho. It's off to save Calumon we go" Suzie sang with a smile, as she skipped along.
Will smiled at this, as she decided to sing along with her, while Takato, Kazu, Kenta and their Digimon joined in too.
Naruto chuckled at this, as Agumon and Gabumon also joined in the singing
"My head is splitting," Rika grumbled out, as she walked next to Naruto.
Naruto grabbed her hand and pulled her close, and patted her on the head. "Better?" he asked her.
Rika blushed a little at this. "A little bit" she said simply.
Naruto chuckled, before he kissed Rika on the forehead. "How about now?" he asked.
Rika smiled at this, before she rested her head on his shoulder. "I can deal with this now," she said.
"Hey, who wants to hear the most annoying sound in the world?" Terriermon asked with a grin, before he started making an annoying sound that sounded like a mix between an animal call and a screech.
Naruto snorted at this and tried not to laugh, while Guilmon, Veemon and Wormmon joined in making the noise.
"Oh god, my ears are bleeding!" Henry, Takato and Will yelled in terror at this, as they held their ears.
"Are we there yet?" BlackGatomon asked with a flat tone, as she held her ears
Naruto looked at his Digivice and sighed. "It looks like we are way off," he said, as he saw that they had gotten a little closer, but not enough to spot where Calumon was.
"The sun is setting too, so I think we should make camp" Henry said, as he looked at the setting sun nearby.
"If we are gonna make camp, we should camp on one of those earth pillars," Leomon suggested.
Naruto nodded at this. "Good idea. We can keep an eye out from up there" he said, as he turned to the group.
"Ok. Wormmon, Veemon Gatomon and BlackGatomon, can you guys Digivolve and fly us all up there?" Will asked.
"Leave it to us!" Veemon said as he saluted Will, while Kazu and Kenta got out their Digivices.

(One flight later)
The group were now on top of an earth pillar, and they had just finished making camp and setting up tents
Meanwhile, Naruto was at a barbecue he had brought, making some burgers and hot dogs for the group.
"Are they ready yet?" Agumon asked, while Guilmon sniffed at the barbecue.
"Soon, now let me work," Naruto said with a chuckle, as he shooed the Digimon away.
Meanwhile Rika, Will and Jeri were at a table preparing the buns and condiments for the burgers and hot dogs.
And Suzie was trying to help, but she was making a mess with the ketchup.
Will chuckled at this, before she took a napkin and helped clean Suzie, who had ketchup on her face. "Here, let me clean you up, squirt," she said.
"I'm helping!" Suzie said with a smile.
Meanwhile, Kazu and Kenta were going over cards and strategies, for when they encountered enemy Digimon.
"We should probably save Paladin Mode for emergencies" Kazu said, as he looked at the card Jeri gave them.
"Agreed," Kenta said with a nod.
"Yea, that's not something you should use on anything" Naruto said, as he flipped some of the food.
"Plus, regular Imperialdramon will be enough for almost anything we run into" Rika said, as she placed cheese on some buns.
Kazu, Kenta and their partners smiled at this.
"Don't get cocky you two. The flaming chicken might throw something at us we're not expecting, so stay sharp" Will yelled at them, hoping to make sure they didn't get cocky.
"Yea, you rack dis-a-pin!" Susie yelled with a smile, making the two Tamers groan and the others to laugh.
Henry groaned at this. "Great, she's taking after you now" he said, looking at Will with a disapproving look.
"What? I can't help it that I'm a great role model for her" Will said with a grin, as she ruffled Suzie's hair.
"….just don't teach her how to be a deviant" Henry said with a pleading look.
"Oh, come on. I'm not a monster. Naruto set up seals in our tent, so she won't hear a thing" Will said.
Henry sighed in relief at this, glad Will had some morals.
Lemon was standing nearby along with Renamon on the other side of the earth piller, keeping a lookout for any enemy Digimon.
"Spot anything yet?" Naruto called out to the Digimon, as he flipped a burger.
"I have spotted a village nearby. It seems to be peaceful" Renamon said, pointing at a nearby village.
"Think we should head down there tomorrow, and see if they can help us?" Takato asked Naruto, as he and Henry placed plates and cutlery on the table.
Naruto nodded at this. "I don't see why not," he said, as he placed the finished food on a plate. "Ok, soups on!" he yelled out.
"I thought it was burgers and hot dogs?" Guilmon said with a confused tilt of his head.
"It is buddy," Takato said with a chuckle.
"What Naruto meant was that the food is ready," Wormmon said.
Soon everyone was gathered around the table, ready to eat.
"So who's gonna take the first watch?" Henry asked, as he handed Suzie a hot dog, before putting some ketchup and mustard on it.
"Me and Renamon will do it. We will switch every few hours" Leomon said with a nod, as he ate some of his burger. "Hmmm, this is good," he said with a smile of approval.
Naruto gave him a smile, as everyone ate and chatted amongst themselves.
(Later, in Naruto's tent)
The inside of Naruto's tent was bigger than normal, thanks to his seals.
The inside was a big room, with a big bed, that was large enough for 4 people.
Naruto walked into the tent yawning, as he felt tired after their first day in the Digital World.

"It's a puppet!" Suzie yelled, pointing at the ground below, where Antylamon, Paildramon, Wargrowlmon, Rapidmon and GrapLeomon were fighting a Digimon.
"Oh, please tell me it's not who I think it is," Rika said with a groan, as she pinched her nose as she recognized this Digimon.
"Okay, I won't tell you," Naruto said.
"Afraid so guys. It's Puppetmon" Kenta said, as he held out his Digivice, which had an image of the Digimon.
The Digimon was a puppet, holding a hammer that had a revolver cylinder for a head with what looked like bullets in the chambers, and the control bar across his back.
"So, the flaming chicken is using the Dark Masters now?" Will asked with a groan, as she let her Digimon out to fight.
"Dark Master or not, he needs to be taken care of," Naruto said, as he let out his Digimon too.
Naruto, Will and Rika took out their blue cards, and scanned them through their Digivices.
["Digi-Modify: Matrix Digivolution Activate!"] the three tamers yelled together
"Gatomon Digivolve to: Angewomon!"
"BlackGatomon Digivolve to: Ladydevimon!"
"Renamon Warp Digivolve to: Taomon!"
"Agumon Warp Digivolve to: WarGreymon!"
"Gabumon Warp Digivolve to: Metalgarurumon!"
The 5 Digimon charged down to the battlefield towards Puppetmon, but were blocked by blasts from Paildramon's blasters.
"What the?" Angewomon said, as she dodged an attack from Antylamon.
Puppetmon, who was nearby, was moving his hands like a puppet master and laughing.
"He's controlling them," Kazu said with a look of frustration.
"No fair!" Suzie said with a frown, as she didn't like this.
"Guys, he can't control other Mega's" Rika yelled to Kazu and Kenta.
The two tamers nodded at this, before they took out their cards, and swiped them through their Digivices.
["Digi-Modify: Digivolution Activate!"] they both yelled out.
Paildramon started to glow at this.
"Paildramon Digivolve to: Imperialdramon Dragon Mode!"
Puppetmon scowled at this, as the dragon Digimon looked down at him, and with a mighty flex snapped the strings on him. "You may be a Mega, but you have to get through your friends first!" Puppetmon yelled, as he made Antylamon, WarGrowlmon, Rapidmon and GarpLeomon block the dragon Digimon path to him.
WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, Angewomon and Ladydevimon tackled the controlled Digimon away from Puppetmon, clearing the way for Imperialdramon.
"Light that puppet freak up!" Kazu and Kenta yelled together.
Puppetmon tried to flee, but his path was blocked by a barrier courtesy of Taomon. "Puppet Pummel" Puppetmon yelled out, as he hit the barrier with his hammer, which did nothing to it. He then fired some lasers from the head of his hammer, which bounced off the barrier.
"There's no escape from me puppet" Taomon said with a groan, as she struggled to keep the barrier up.
Imperialdramon charged a blast in his mouth. "Mega Crusher!" he yelled, before he fired at Puppetmon.
"NO! Lord Zhuqiaomon! Please, help me!" Puppetmon yelled out, as the attack drew closer.
There was no response, as the attack engulfed Puppetmon and turned him into data.
"Ha! Take that, you sorry ass villain!" Kazu yelled with a grin, as Will appeared behind him.
"Yea, Machinedramon had more street cred than you. And he has the personality of a bag of shit!" Kenta yelled with his own grin, as Rika appeared behind him.

The two tamers were now on the ground with swirls in their eyes and lumps on their heads as they twitched on the ground, while Will and Rika had smoke coming off their fists.
"Watch your language around Suzie, you idiots!" Will yelled in a rage, at the two tamers.
Henry sighed at this, as he covered Suzie's ears.
"Is everyone ok?" Naruto asked the Digimon who returned to them, after turning back to their default forms.
"Yea, we're fine," Agumon said with a smile.
"I'm gonna have a bath for a week after Puppetmon controlled me," Lopmon said with a frown.
"Well, at least we know he's using the Dark Masters now," Takato said with a sigh.
"But was Puppetmon the weakest of them, or the strongest?" Naruto asked as he crossed his arms.
"No no, just the most annoying" Kazu said, as he shook his head.
"Though if I see Apocalymon, I'm out" Kenta said with a groan, as he rubbed his head.
"Oh please, the flaming chicken doesn't have the eggs to recruit that guy" Will said with a snicker.
"True," Naruto said with a smile of agreement.

(With Zhuqiaomon)
The bird Sovereign was watching the tamers in a mirror and growling at the fact that the tamers were mocking him.
Meanwhile, Caturamon and Makuramon were watching nearby.
"Those damn humans" Makuramon growled out, as he watched this.
Caturamon approached, and bowed to his master. "My lord, I have an idea to deal with these humans, while we track down the catalyst" he said.
"Ah yes, the Impmon that you recruited," Zhuqiaomon said with a nod.
"Indeed my lord. He is willing to work for you, in exchange for power" Caturamon said.
"Hmmmm. Well, I do need a new recruit for the dark masters" Zhuqiaomon said with a nod.
Caturamon bowed before he left the room.
"As for you Makuramon, you will find the catalyst within the next 2 days, or I will destroy you" Zhuqiaomon said with a glare at the monkey.
Makuramon bowed at this. "O-of course master" he said, before quickly leaving the room.
