Chapter 5 here! Two weeks, better than the previous update, whatever it is, I'll leave you here and enjoy reading, you know, comments and whatever, always welcome.
By the way, I need the help of some of you, I will explain it better below in the notes.
Let's start this.
...
A dark figure was walking through the rubble of what was once a fast food and smoothie branch called Mr. Smoothies, his eyes momentarily saw what was once the mascot of that place, a giant cup with a cartoonish face, or at least what was left of him.
This figure wore an almost entirely black outfit, except for details of violet color that glowed faintly, it had highly advanced gloves that covered its hands and forearms and its head and face were partially covered by a kind of helmet with a glass dome, it had a slight violet glow that accentuated the twisted and decrepit face of this entity.
Eon, as he was commonly known, was a time traveler and arch-enemy of Professor Paradox, as well as being one of the many alternate versions of the superhero known as Ben Ten.
Its origin was unique, dating back to when the hero was only ten years old and by the chance of fate he was forced to face the Original Eon, an alien belonging to a dying race called Chronian, he had managed to get the Omnitrix to scan his DNA and forced the child to transform, the DNA and consciousness of Eon were passed to the boy and replaced his personality, after this, he was in charge of personally destroying that city in which he was currently.
Bellwood
The time traveler halted when he reached an abyss, looking around for any debris that would allow him to cross. He did not want to use his powers at that moment because he had felt exhaustion a few hours before, or perhaps only a few minutes ago. Time was difficult to measure in a reality where it did not act normal.
His mind wandered, he felt something strange, a "disturbance in the force" as his adolescent version would say, and prone to the most heinous puns he had the displeasure to hear.
Be that as it may, he had felt a distortion between the dimensions and that to his chagrin, it affected him in some way, which could only mean one thing, his original version had done something extremely foolish.
As a villain, he wouldn't be concerned about the fate of his heroic counterpart, but, when his actions affected him, he would act accordingly, especially when these actions caused his powers over time to be affected, which he didn't like at all.
Being volatile and unstable, Eon would have charged towards the Prime timeline demanding Tennyson's head, but this time he didn't, he had to be careful If his Prime version had done something with the reality, possible, that all that reality was nothing more than a strange amalgamation right now.
Finally, rubble floated past him and he did not waste the opportunity, leaping over it and propelled himself to the other side of the abyss.
Once there, the man continued his journey, if he wanted to avoid further destroying the delicate space-time continuity, he was going to have to take a shortcut to go to the Prime timeline.
Over the years he had memorized many shortcuts between realities, reaching them was certainly annoying, but they saved a lot of his energy and he didn't have to use his powers, which was a good thing since, with each use, he suffered self-degradation.
He stopped when he reached his destination, there in front of him was a crack in reality, this allowed him to see to the other side, his destination was passing that crack, but he did not advance.
As he suspected, that timeline was affected by some kind of time-space distortion. A small smile appeared on his twisted face, he could already imagine those foolish Celestialsapiens punishing Tennyson in some way for his foolishness, he wished he could see that in the front row.
He advanced and crossed to the other side. Everyone around him changed in a single instant. His destroyed kingdom gave way to a normal city full of life. But he also felt something strange, an emptiness.
Something was not right in that reality.
Without wasting any more time, he used his powers and left the area.
Eon observed the place where he had ended up, moving through the time of a reality that used to be easy. But that fluctuation that was affected this particular seemed to prevent him from using his powers correctly. He wanted to go to a place where he could find an answer, not the damn desert.
He walked around there. Maybe there was a reason why he ended up here, but what? He rested his hand on a large stone and tried to move it, a hidden hatch perhaps? But that was not the case.
He fell silent and halted his footsteps as he heard two voices. They seem to be arguing with each other. He leaned over the stone, his expression impassive as he saw two small frog-like beings standing on a table and yelling at each other.
Surrounding them were hundreds of highly advanced devices and various members of that intergalactic police called "Plummers", a silly name if someone asked him. All are working and monitoring the area, as there was a massive crater created perhaps by an explosion.
"I told you that we should invert the polarity to prevent the Slipspace become unstable!" He heard one of those little creatures scream, the one that was shorter and plump. "This is your fault Blukic!"
The other, the taller of the two, simply crossed his arms and turned his back on to his partner.
"It was not my fault, I did invert the cables." He defended himself.
"Cables that I had already inverted!" Driba argued
"No, you didn't!"
"Yes, I did!"
"No, you did not!"
Eon wisely chose to stay away from that place, that pair of creatures were so annoying.
But at least they ineffectiveness had given him some information, Slipspace, he had heard about it when he traveled to future moments in the timeline, a form of travel that sends a ship through a space-time tunnel, it was in a fast way of travel but has a high probability of catastrophically failing if care was not taken. A failure in the engine could cause a Slipspace rupture within the ship itself and fold back on itself, resulting in a brief and uncontrollable expansion of Slipspace over real space, this would create a vortex that would absorb everything in its path.
This explained why he had sensed a distortion in space-time, and it also explained that huge crater.
His mind worked, deducing that they were trying to implement this technology in some aircraft. And thanks to the incompetence of the Galvan pair, it had failed catastrophically.
His heroic counterpart went into action trying to contain the dimensional instability, being absorbed by this and sending it somewhere either in this or some other universe that has had the misfortune to connect momentarily to this.
A sinister smile formed on his face and he looked to the crater, in cases like these, there were always traces behind, of course, a normal being could not see them and knowledge about time-space travel was needed, fortunately, he had that knowledge.
This was his chance, the chance to master an entire reality and begin to expand his domain. If this irruption in the space-time fabric had been connected to another universe he could go there and cause chaos, the only problem was that there was still the possibility that his heroic counterpart would have ended up in this other universe unless he died. down the road, which he doubted.
With a new plan in mind, now he only had to "clear the area" of all possible pests and he knew many villains more than willing to do so.
His teleportation took him to the place he wanted, the underground headquarters of Plumbers Infiltrating the site like this would be difficult, except for him clearing, he had temporary powers, a little pause and he was inside.
He walked through the halls with an aura of elegance and a destination in mind. The Prison Hold contains all the villains Tennyson had caught and captured. These fools would be a good scapegoat to get close to the crater without having to endure futile attempts to stop him.
He stopped when he got to the prison area and scanned the place with his eyes. There were some guards, nothing difficult to overcome, opening all the cells would be another issue since it would take him some time.
He approached a cell, inspecting the prisoner inside. A man in his sixties, with pale green skin and his brain exposed behind a glass dome. He recognized him as Doctor Animo, a brilliant yet quite deranged scientist. He is perfect for his plans
"Greetings my dear Doctor." Eon, being a brilliant mind, knew how to interact with people like Animo. After all, you have to be respectful, polite, and flatter his ego a bit.
"Do I know you?" Questioned the villain from his cell, arching an eyebrow at the sinister figure that spoke to him.
"No, but I do. You are Aloysius James Animo, a brilliant geneticist who unjustly did not receive the merit he deserved." Those sweetened words surprised the villain, who pecked at Eon's bait and approached him.
"I seems I have a fan, but, tell me, who are you?" Animo asked
"I'm just a humble time traveler, you can call me, Eon." Although, upon hearing the name, the scientist stepped back, clearly frightened. "I see, you know who I am." inquired Eon.
"Enough to know that you wouldn't be here without good reason." He replied, the scientist tried to regain his composure shortly after. "What do you need from me?"
"Nothing too big. Cause a bit of chaos, free the other prisoners and distract the Plumbers."
"You want me to be the distraction for something your scheme? And what do I get of all this?" he asked suspiciously. Eon's growing smirk sent a chill down Animo's spine and forced him to swallow hard in fear.
"You buy me time and I could take you to another reality, one without the plumbers and of course, without Ben Tennyson to get into your plans, what do you say?"
Dr. Animo did not hesitate one second and his face transformed into a sinister smile like that of Eon
"I think we have a deal, my estimated time traveler." Animo stepped back as the cell door was sliced open by Eon's energy sword. The scientist gave the time traveler an annoyed look before speaking again WA little warning would have been nice. W
"Tic, Tac, Doctor, the time is running out, now all the Plumbers know you are out." Eon replied as he threw an object at him, a copy of his energy sword. "Use it to open as many cells as possible and meet me outside of Bellwood."
Before he could respond, Eon disappeared. The scientist then poked his head out of his cell and wasting no time, ran to the adjoining cell and used the sword.
All Plumbers received notice that a containment breach was taking place in the prison, many of those guarding the Slipspace event area wasted no time and headed towards the base, just as Eon had planned.
The time traveler was now standing on a small elevation of terrain about seventy meters from the crater, his smile growing bigger as he saw that his plan was going as planned.
...
...
To have a little more than over a month and a half to live, Frankie could tell that she had been through many stressful situations, especially for a teenager. Her first day of school was a great example of this, she had tried to fit into that wild place called high school, she failed, she failed miserably and was about to give up, but thanks to the words of one of her current best friends, she managed to do it, she befriended Clawdeen and Draculaura and soon after Cleo, but now? She was sure that this situation was the most stressful of her short life.
On the one hand, was Upgrade, the alien got into her house and her mother had seen him, it was difficult for her to tell whether or not he was currently alive, all that was left of him was a black puddle with green lines that glowed from dim shape.
On the other, her parents, her mother was having a panic attack as she thought she had killed someone, her father, Viktor Stein, a monster that was much taller than the front door of her house, was trying to calm her down. mother, though it didn't seem to be getting results.
"Breathe honey, relax and tell me what happened." Frankie's father was huge next to Viveka, like the woman, he was made from different bodies, the appearance he had could be classified as "terrifying", but contrary to what many might think, he was a kind man who was against all kinds of violence, he was also a genius scientist and cared a lot for his family.
"I-I went down to drink water and I heard a sound, when I turned on the light there was that… thing! Viktor I don't know what it was, but he didn't look like a monster I recognized, much less a human." The woman was breathing irregularly and the sweat ran down her face, her husband kindly held her hands to try to calm her, which worked. "He approached me and I hit him, I think fear and nerves made me lose control of my electricity for a few seconds."
The man nodded at what his wife said and directed his attention to the black stain that was on his floor, being an adult monster and with control over many of his abilities, Viktor could sense the presence of other monsters, whether they were hidden or not, an ability shared by all monsters but that only adult could use correctly this ability, he could sense "The Spark" of whatever that creature had, it was still alive, possibly unconscious. This could pose a danger to his family as he was not aware of anything like that thing.
He looked at his daughter, who seemed to be quite nervous and with a worried look, the young monster was biting her nails while looking at the black liquid, he deduced that she was scared.
"Frankie, could you bring me the phone? It is best to call the police." He asked kindly, his daughter reacted to that request, curiously she was nervous and her studs sparked.
"The police?" she asks.
Viktor nodded, he knew how racist humans could be, it didn't help either that most of the security forces in New Salem are human, or that the current Sheriff didn't appreciate monsters very much, he was sure that man would use this as an excuse to not leave his family alone.
Frankie on her side had no idea what to do, she looked askance at Upgrade, the alien was still a puddle and he was not showing signs that he was going to wake up anytime soon. She had to take a deep breath before her body began to move towards the kitchen, she stopped for a second in front of Upgrade, she expected him to wake up at that moment, to scare her to death and somehow help her clear up all the situation, but it was not like that and she forced herself to continue.
When she left the room, Viktor moved away from his wife and approached the black liquid with curiosity, crouching in front of it, he began it, he inspected it carefully, at first glance it seemed to be some kind of Limo, but he was sure that the Limos did not have that color or those lines, his mind began to work on that. Was it a subspecies? It was possible, maybe if he got some samples he could better understand what it was.
He looked around for something to take these samples, there was nothing that would work, except the keys to the front door, which were hanging on the wall, thanks to his size it was not difficult to reach them.
The man then brought the object closer to the puddle, when they both made contact, Upgrade's eye suddenly opened, it goes without saying that when he saw Viktor so close, his mind worked as fast as it could, associating the man with a certain alien coming from the Anur system and before the monster could realize it, he had the alien completely reformed and what was even more surprised, that it knocked him down with great ease.
Viveka widened her eyes in surprise and horror as she saw her husband falls and as the alleged thief held him to the ground, and the mysterious monster extended his arm back, ready to hit him. She acted on instinct and took the first thing she found, in this case, a vase that was on the table in front of the television, and quickly, she went to the monster and hit him in the face with it.
Meanwhile, Frankie was in the kitchen, she had arrived a few seconds ago and was not sure what to do, she was debating whether to call the police or her friends since Upgrade had returned, she was sure they were going to want to know, except by Cleo.
The young lady picked up the landline and looked at the numbers, deciding who she should call, or if the best thing was to go back to her parents and explain the whole truth to them, she was sure they were going to lose their minds, not only because she went to a potentially dangerous, as was the impact crater of a meteorite, but also for having lied to them and hiding everything.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the sound of something large falling to the ground was heard, seconds later, the sound of something breaking. She was confused at this and poked her head into the room, her eyes almost popping out of their sockets when she saw Upgrade there, over her father, trying to keep him on the floor, her mother was on the left and had the remains of a vase in your hands.
Her brain was disconnected at that moment and by sheer instinct, she screamed.
"Upgrade what are you doing!?"
Upon hearing Frankie's voice, the alien stopped his struggle, the moment that Viktor took the opportunity to give him a hook in the face and get rid of him. The alien quickly recovered and looked at him, his eye curved into a V and tried to move towards him again, but Frankie got in his way, her bolts released several sparks due to nerves, which managed to scare Upgrade, who took a step back, not wanting to be electrocuted again.
"Frankie stay away from that thing!" Viktor ordered, Viveka approached him quite worried, she wanted to make sure he wasn't hurt.
"Dad he's not bad!" She answered, earning very confused and worried looks from her father and mother, the young woman looked towards Upgrade, who was watching her, expectantly and possibly confused, she took a deep breath, she had to tell the truth the moment she recognized Upgrade, now the situation She was pretty bad, she could only hope her parents don't kill her for this. "Mom, Dad, he's Upgrade." She pointed with a hand towards the alien, who seemed quite astonished, he looked at Viktor and cocked his head. "And ... he is an alien."
That statement made both adults look at each other and then pose their eyes on the young monster.
...
...
Ten minutes have passed since the little fight that Upgrade and Viktor had, the alien was standing in one of the corners of the room, Frankie had spent those ten minutes explaining to her parents everything, how they met, what they knew about him and his sudden disappearance.
For his part, he limited himself to analyzing Viktor, he had confused him with one of the most recurrent villains of his career, Viktor, a scientist belonging to the planet Anur Transyl and who served under a psychopathic alien ghost. In his defense, they looked very similar, of course, this man had a much kinder face than that of his reality of origin. He was going to have to apologize for acting so hastily if only he could talk to them ...
"And then we spent the whole day looking for him around the town." The Stein's daughter finished narrating, Viktor and Viveka were silent, trying to process everything their daughter had told them.
Viktor looked in the direction of Upgrade, an alien, a REAL one, right there in their living room and who had fallen to the planet the night before. As a scientist, the possibility that life exists outside the planet was always in his head, but he preferred to focus on research that would improve the lives of humans and monsters, even so, he could not help feeling excited, the answer to many questions was just ten feet from them.
Viveka on the other hand kept looking at her daughter, as a mother, she could not help feeling angry, her daughter had gone to a potentially dangerous place with her friends, besides she fought against this ... alien, that mother would not be worried about that? But as a scientist and biologist, she was deeply offended, her daughter, a creation of Viktor and her that they made with so much effort and love, had she hidden what would possibly be the greatest discovery of the century? She was going to have a very serious talk with that young lady.
"I'm in trouble?" The young monster asked nervously before the silence of her parents.
"Punishing you for your lack of common sense would be a good way to prevent you from going to dangerous places." Viveka replied this made her daughter look sadly at the ground. "But I understand that you are curious, you did not resist going to investigate with your friends, for this time I will let you go, but promise me that you will not do it again."
"I promise, mom." A small smile appeared on Frankie's face, her mother was always very kind and understanding, without a doubt she had been very lucky to be her daughter.
"Well, now, about your friend." Now, the three monsters were watching the alien, who was somewhat uncomfortable being the center of attention. "He can understand English, right?"
"Yes, Draculaura said he can write too." The teenager answered.
"Fascinating." Viktor muttered. "Do you think it is a kind of emissary or a messenger?"
"It is possible, maybe I was trying to make the first contact." Viveka replied.
The upper part of Upgrade's eye turned into a straight line, did it seem to him, or were those two treating him like some kind of scientific object? He wasn't a messenger, he was the greatest superhero in his entire universe! The only one really, but those were details irrelevant to the plot.
"Mom, Dad, please don't throw him out, he's lost and he doesn't know anything about the land, we promised him with the girls that we would help him." Frankie begged.
"Honey, he's an alien, it could be dangerous." Her father replied, the memory of how easily he was knocked down by the alien was fresh in his mind, he deduced that he had some kind of super-strength, if this was not handled with due care, the consequences could be very serious.
"But he has no one or a place to go, he was also very kind, he even tried to help Draculaura when she met him."
The young lady's parents looked at each other, both were known throughout the community as a very kind couple and who did not hesitate to help others, be they monsters or humans, but Upgrade was an alien, it was something they had never done before tried before, but their daughter seemed willing to help him.
"How about we decide what to do tomorrow?" suggested Viveka. "Frankie, remember that you have classes."
"So, we are going to help him?" asked the young monster.
"We'll discuss it tomorrow, now go to bed."
The young woman smiled and hugged her parents tightly.
"They are the best! Thanks!"
"Are you kidding? I wouldn't miss the opportunity to dissect him for nothing in the world." Viktor said while pointing his thumb towards Upgrade, the alien understood those words perfectly and stuck to the wall in fear.
"Viktor." His wife looked at him with an arched brow.
"Fine, no dissections."
Frankie turned away from his parents and looked up at his space friend, who seemed to be a bit disturbed by what his father had said.
"Quiet, he won't do anything to you." This did not calm the alien at all, but it did separate from the wall.
"Tomorrow you can talk to him, Frankie, now go to your bed." Her mother ordered and the young woman nodded.
When she got lost on the stairs, the couple looked at each other and then looked at Upgrade, they weren't sure about all this, but they chose to trust their daughter's words.
Seeing that he was under the gaze of both monsters, the mechamorph shrugged slightly in place, now would be a good opportunity to apologize to that man, so he advanced towards them.
This made the couple tense slightly, but their nerves were transformed into surprise when the alien extended his hand to Viktor, in doing so he was somewhat embarrassed as he brought his other hand to his head and rubbed his back.
"I think he's trying to apologize." Viveka whispered, to his surprise, Upgrade nodded, he truly understood what they were saying.
"Uhm, it will take more than a simple apology." Viktor replied, but even so, he shook his hand, if he had bones, Upgrade was sure that right now they would be crushed before the strength of that monster. "I will say it only once, alien or not, we are helping you because my daughter wants to do it, hurt her, and I will hurt you, understood?"
The man released Upgrade's hand, who observed with fear and clear nervousness how it had been after the squeeze, fortunately regenerating it was not going to be difficult, but that threat if he knew it perfectly, was that of a father who cared a lot for his daughter, the parents of one of his ex-girlfriend were the same, although they directly hated him.
"If you are done threatening him." Viveka made her husband step back and stood in front of Upgrade. "We don't have a guest room, you will stay here, you have no problems with that, right?"
He denied it, he was also mentally grateful that Frankie's mother was such a kind woman, he didn't want to experience that electro-charged punch again in a short time.
"Fine, you can sleep on the couch, I trust you won't try anything against my family." He nodded again, Viveka for her part looked at him for a few seconds before nodding silently, clearly, she didn't trust him much. "I hope you rest."
Upgrade stood still, limiting himself as he watched the couple leave the room and go upstairs. He carefully walked over to the sofa and sat there.
His plan had not gone as expected, but at least he had a place to spend that night, although he did not need to sleep, he could enter a state similar to hibernation, also this would help his currently computerized mind to make a plan without so much improvisation and thus avoid future problems.
He remembered what he was doing before returning to that house, he had gone to the place where he landed, without his truck for security reasons, but the area was cordoned off by the police and everything that he discarded from the proto truck had disappeared, possibly taken as evidence, that would certainly be a problem in the future, he just hoped they didn't get away to search him with those pieces.
He then began to think of a plan, he had to be careful, he was in a different dimension, which meant that there were different rules to follow, if he was not careful, it could cause a lot of problems. His gaze then dropped to the device on his chest, he decided to check how the system repair was going and touched it for two seconds.
"Omnitrix at 63% full capacity, primary functions disabled, secondary functions disabled, universal translator disabled, life forme lock enabled. Error. Error. The beacon cannot contact Galvan Prime."Was the response of the AI built into the device.
He couldn't help but feel happy when he heard the progress, during the previous day he had barely advanced something, and now it suddenly went up to 63%, perhaps that electric shock courtesy of Frankie's mother had something to do with it. If that was the case, he just hoped he would not have to receive a punch from his friend's father, he was sure that this man was going to enjoy it more than necessary. Possibly attacking him was not a great idea.
Either way, he would worry about those problems the next day, now he was going to rest and go to look for the proto truck before dawn to avoid anyone seeing him.
"I just hope they haven't fined me for leaving the truck there overnight." He muttered to himself as he leaned back on the couch and let his mind wander.
...
...
The next morning things did not go as well for Frankie as they should, first, when she woke up her parents told her that Upgrade had left at some point before any of them had woken up, this made her nervous as the possibility That someone saw him was big, she was not worried about being hurt, he had shown to be capable of taking care of himself, rather, she feared that he was the cause of an accident, knocking down someone like his father and keeping him subdued was A physical feat without a doubt, just thinking about what the alien could do to a smaller monster if he felt threatened got on her nerves.
Still, she had to relax to avoid drawing attention to school, where she was right now.
Hours had passed since classes began and they were soon to end, although it seems that they had ended a long time ago since most of the students in the room, including the teacher, were asleep. The young monster mentally questioned what kind of standards the institution had for accepting its teachers.
She looked around for something that would keep her awake a little longer, only two other students apart from her were awake at the time, one was Draculaura, who was in the next seat, the other was Cleo, who was in the row next to desks, the mummy was calmly filing her nails, caring little about class.
Earlier that day, she had told her friends about Upgrade's return and that her parents now had knowledge about him, about the problems he caused and that, at least for that day, he was going to stay at their house, she chose to keep a secret that he had left again since she was sure that he would return for the rest of the day or it was even possible that he had already returned home, fortunately, her parents had that day off and could receive him.
It should be noted that this information caused different reactions in Frankie's friends, the most excited was Draculaura since the young woman still hoped to take Upgrade to know the wonders of the earth, wonders that were in the shopping center and surroundings of course. The next most excited was Clawdeen, although for other reasons, during lunch that day, the werewolf did not stop talking about what she had found on the internet, apart from hundreds and hundreds of conspiracy theories, she found very interesting comics and movies where the subject of aliens and their possible science-fiction artifacts such as laser weapons, energy swords, jetpacks, Frankie could only hope that none of this is in the possession of Upgrade, it would be problematic and Clawdeen possibly does something dangerous. Finally, there was Cleo, to say that the mummy was very reluctant to see Upgrade again would be an understatement, it took all the power that Draculaura and her puppy dog look had to offer to convince her to go, the mention of Possible "alien clothes that would make her even more incredible" was also a great help, this was clearly stated by Clawdeen.
Her mind started to wander a bit, since Clawdeen mentioned the science fiction things she couldn't get that out of her head, did Upgrade have incredible things as the werewolf expected? Well, he had a spaceship, that already gave him points by itself, but she wondered other things, such as about his culture, the little they knew about him was not very conclusive, but he left clues, perhaps both worlds shared many things, like cartoons.
"Come on, go faster." The whisper from Draculaura made Frankie come out of his thoughts and turn to see her, the vampire was impatiently tapping her nails on her desk she wanted to get out of class. "How much longer will it take?"
Watching her act so childish and even wrinkle her face to try to control the clock on the wall was quite funny and adorable to watch, Frankie couldn't help but laugh at that.
"You are going to hurt yourself if you keep doing that." Cleo commented from her place, the young woman observed her nails and smirked. "Perfect."
"I just want the bell to ring and be able to go to Frankie's house and see Upgrade." The little vampire replied, earning an arched eyebrow from the mummy.
"I don't understand how excited you can be to see that idiot again; I remind you that he ran away." The mummy put aside her file and looked directly at Draculaura, her expression was not exactly friendly. "Must I remind you that not only is that thing strong enough to subdue Frankie's father, but it also has a damn laser in its eye? He's a danger, we shouldn't help him."
"You're being exaggerated, Cleo." The vampire played down what the mummy said, although Frankie quite agreed, it was potentially dangerous. "Upgrade is very nice; he wouldn't hurt anyone."
"Girls, I think you two should lower your voice a little more." It was Frankie's suggestion, they looked around, their classmates had slightly annoying expressions while they slept, apparently, their conversation was interrupting their sleep, it was luck that no one had woken up yet. "Even so, Draculaura may be right, he seems to be kind, except for what happened last night with my father, he has a very calm demeanor."
Cleo was going to refute that, but the sound of the bell that indicated the end of classes interrupted her, Draculaura wasted no time picking up her things and rushing out of the classroom, they had to go find Clawdeen before leaving. The students and the professor returned to the waking world shortly after.
"Remember do the points chapter ten of your books."
The students ignored that and after collecting their belongings at incredible speeds, they ran like a stampede from the classroom, that was the last class of the day and it was the moment when the clubs began, and the monsters that did not belong to any they just hung out with their friends.
Frankie and Cleo waited for the student traffic to lighten before leaving, they had agreed to meet Clawdeen at the entrance and then go to the Steins' house.
Along the way, Frankie tried to make a conversation with Cleo, he wanted the mummy to relax a bit about Upgrade, she could be very rude and they had no idea whether or not Upgrade could respond aggressively, she had already shown not having patience with Cleo, and they didn't need the six-foot alien wanting mummy for breakfast or something.
"How have you been with Deuce?" He asked, Cleo looked at her with some doubt and arched an eyebrow, but Frankie did not flinch, she and Deuce were a very close couple, and that the boy was possibly the only one who could pass on that haughty attitude that the mummy had.
"Why do you ask?" She questioned, Cleo knew that, in her first week, Frankie had had a crush on her boyfriend, of course without knowing that he was her boyfriend, now they were little more than good friends, even so, she was cautious.
"Just curiosity, you two make a beautiful couple."
"Beautiful couple? Please, we are the perfect couple." That was Cleo's huge ego speaking, even so, Frankie listened carefully. "We're fine, we were going to have a date today, but thanks to Draculaura's friend we won't have it now."
"I'm sorry about that, but I told my mother that you knew him too, she wants to know everything that happened."
"You're lucky Frankie is in a good mood today." Was the answer that the mummy gave, to sigh shortly after. "I really don't understand how excited they can be, that thing is dangerous, I don't understand how Draculaura doesn't seem to be afraid of it."
"Remember those bandages on her foot?" the mummy nodded. "I think Upgrade was responsible, there is so much that we do not know about him, it could be a kind of message or perhaps he escaped from a world at war."
"Or he could be an intergalactic criminal and we are helping him."
Frankie had to keep quiet, that was a possibility, but she didn't want to consider it true, Upgrade was very kind, he didn't seem like a criminal.
The duo reached the entrance, there were already Draculaura and Clawdeen, with a third monster, a girl amphibious aspect, it was a monster young flakes of pale blue that covered whole body and hands webbed and fins protruding from the lower part of her arms and legs, her hair was long, blond and curly with blue streaks, as well as freckles dotting her face and green eyes. Her outfit consisted of a black jacket with a scale design on the chest, underneath a pink T-shirt, and accompanied by black shorts.
Frankie looked at her with surprise and some doubt since he knew who that monster was.
"What's up Ghouls?" greeted the aquatic monster.
"Hi Lagoona, what are you doing here?" Asked Frankie.
"Oh nothing, the swim team has no practice today and I overheard a certain vampire talking about a great new friend and I was curious." The young monster turned her eyes to Draculaura, who was whistling and avoiding eye contact.
Two rather disappointing looks were directed towards the vampire, she just laughed nervously and fiddled with her fingers. Clawdeen who was next to her simply shook her head, her friend had too much energy and that habit of speaking too loudly was lucky that only Lagoona heard her.
"I can't believe it, it lasted a day! Do not! Less than a day and she's already opened her mouth." Cleo exclaimed annoyed. "Where was that "it's a secret"?"
"Hey, don't go crazy with her." Clawdeen was quick to interfere, she wasn't going to let Cleo scold Draculaura for an oversight. "She didn't say anything you already know."
"Clawdeen, Cleo is right, nobody is supposed to know about him." Cleo smiled proudly when she heard that Frankie was supporting her in that situation.
For her part, the young aquatic monster looked at her four friends with some amusement, apparently, they had forgotten that she was there and could hear them, she couldn't help but laugh at that, she decided then to remind them of her existence and cleared her throat, managing to capture their attention again.
"Talking about a secret in front of someone is an invitation to curiosity." the four girls were embarrassed, they had forgotten that Lagoona was there "Is it too bad to tell me?"
"Define "bad."" Clawdeen replied as she made quotation marks with her fingers, Cleo nudged her to stop talking, earning an annoyed look from the werewolf.
"Is not that." Frankie spoke up, tried to think of a credible excuse, but she wasn't exactly good at lying, she looked for help with her eyes, but the group's expert liar, that is, Cleo, just looked away.
Lagoona patiently waited for an answer from Frankie, it was more than clear that the monster made of parts was trying to think of an excuse, understandable, it was her secret after all, but still, she was curious.
Seeing her friend in trouble, Clawdeen responded quickly.
"Is a cousin!" Clawdeen replied. "From Frankie, by her left hand." The werewolf took her friend made of pieces and pointed to the aforementioned hand, which was released from Frankie's body, and settled on the head of the young werewolf. "Right Lil hand?"
The hand-raised its thumb in response.
"How does that work exactly?" Lagoona questioned somewhat confused. "And why is it a secret?"
"It's a normie!" Draculaura rushed to answer "You know, Frankie, pieces of bodies, her cousin is a human! And she is a little ashamed that others know."
Lagoona arched an eyebrow at that answer, her gaze traveled to the four girls, who seemed to be quite nervous about all this, although if it was a human she could understand them, she had nothing against humans in particular, she hated very much that they littered the ocean and any body of water in general, but she didn't despise them. But it was not the case of other monsters, she knew perfectly well how badly some treated one of the students who was half-human, could understand why Frankie did not want that secret to spreading.
"I understand, and you can be calm Frankie, I will not tell anyone." The aforementioned only smiled nervously, her bolts even began to release some sparks, but Lagoona didn't notice. "I'll leave you alone for now, but I want to meet your mysterious cousin."
"Sure, I'll tell him that you send regards." It was fortunate for her that the aquatic monster did not notice the clearly nervous smile she had when she said that
Lagoona said goodbye to them and left, the teenage monsters waited patiently for her to get out of sight before saying something.
"What the hell are you two thinking?!" questioned Cleo.
"I don't know! I got nervous!" Clawdeen replied as she held her hair down.
"We will think an excuse later, now let's go to my house, I just hope that Upgrade has not made my father angry." the three monsters were agreed with Frankie and before another curious monster approached to ask, they left.
None noticed a translucent head that emerged from one of the pairs, it was a young monster with violet hair and a ghostly appearance, she had heard the whole conversation and had her gaze fixed on Frankie and her friends.
"A human cousin? Oh, this is going to be a premise!" She commented to herself before turning her head inside the wall and disappearing.
...
...
The way to Frankie's house was quite calm, to prevent Cleo or Clawdeen from killing each other for their different opinions about Upgrade, she had decided to bring up the subject of the homecoming dance that would be in about two weeks.
"I have this idea in my head, a dress with black ruffles accompanied by a jacket, maybe purple?" Clawdeen was telling them about one of her latest clothing designs, one she hoped to have finished by the day of the homecoming dance. "I don't know yet, I have the idea, but I can't advance at all."
"You can ask me for help whenever you want Clawdeen." Cleo commented with her typical arrogant tone. "You just need to say the magic words."
"The day that Draculaura begins to love blood will be the day I ask you for help." she replied, the one alluded to on the other hand was limited to gag at the thought of blood.
"Have you thought about who to bring?" Frankie asked she was sure that Cleo would go with her boyfriend, but she was curious about Clawdeen and Draculaura.
"The way of fashion is lonely and distant." was Clawdeen's melodramatic response, which drew a couple of laughs from her friends. "And I'm sure my father will make me go with Clawd, I'm still "too young for dates.""
"I understand you, my father would go crazy if suddenly a boy came home to take me to the homecoming." Frankie commented with amusement. "I was thinking of inviting Jackson, but he still has his problem."
"What kind of monster is Holt exactly?" questioned the mummy confused, it was common knowledge about the situation of the so-called Jackson and his "brother" Holt, what was not clear was the nature of the latter.
"Well, his mother is the granddaughter of Dr. Jekyll and his father is a fire elemental." Draculaura replied. "They should try their cherry cakes, they are to die for."
"His mother also has the same problem? asked Frankie curiously, the vampire just shrugged her shoulders in response. "So Holt is a… something and fire elemental?"
"Girls." Clawdeen interrupted the conversation she was having, her friends looked at her wondering what was happening, the werewolf just pointed to the front, Frankie's house was already visible, they were just over twenty meters from her, but what The young werewolf pointed out was a truck that was parked right in front Frankie's home.
"Is that a plumbing truck?" questioned Cleo really confused.
The girls approached the vehicle full of curiosity, then they noticed the cartoon that it had on the sides, Draculaura found it very adorable and did not hesitate to take her Icoffin and take a picture of it, on the other hand, her friends inspected it confused, what was he doing there?
"Do you think your parents called a plumber?" Clawdeen asked.
"I don't think so, with Upgrade in the house I doubt they will risk calling a plumber." Frankie answered.
The teenagers then headed towards the door of Frankie's house, they could only hope that nothing bad was happening there.
...
...
Moments before inside the Stein residence.
"Fascinating, really fascinating." Frankie's father was watched carefully an object similar to a toaster, it had four legs robot out of the bottom of your body, with what appeared to be two hands emerging from the sides, on the front of a lonely green eye was there. "You can merge with all technology and you can also alter it, what else can you do?"
Viveka, who was next to her husband raised an eyebrow when two other hands emerged from the top, wherein theory the slices of bread should go, they extended two sheets of green light each and began to spin at full speed.
The apparatus jumped back and moved them as if they were two weapons, which was quite successful since, in its show of skill, the blades of light cut some cushions, sending a shower of feathers through the air, thing that the woman did not like it at all.
"That's enough, no laser swords inside the house." the small device reacted to that and little hands returned to the interior, Viveka, even so, gave a stern look at him and her husband. "No more practical tests, Frankie will be back any minute and I don't need you and that alien to do any more damage."
"Sorry honey, I think I got excited." The woman simply let out an exhausted sigh, there is more than the family savings to buy new cushions.
"Also, I would appreciate it if you would part with the toaster right now." The small device nodded and little by little the black color and the green lines disappeared, a black liquid leaked from it, and soon after Upgrade was reformed.
The alien bent down and picked up the toaster and then handed it to Viveka, who took it and prepared to return it to the kitchen.
Viktor on the other hand focused on the notes that had been collecting during the day, glanced up at the windows of the front of the house, could slightly see a vehicle orange, the vehicle in which Upgrade had appeared more early that day, fortunately, no neighbor had noticed him enter the house. He was sure it was his ship, with some kind of camouflage, maybe when the tests with the driver were over, he could go check that vehicle.
At that moment he felt someone touch his shoulder, his attention went to Upgrade, who had his notepad and was showing it to him.
"When will Frankie be back?" was the question that was written there.
"It's after three, I should be here any minute." replied the monster. "Impatient?"
Upgrade nodded and began to write again.
"I really appreciate your help, Mr. Stein, I have no idea about your culture and I need all the help I can, I don't know how to pay you."
"Could you let me check your ship?"
"Nice try"
The man could not help laughing at that, he had spent several hours a student to his guest, although at first, he believed that it would be much more, for lack of better words, out of that world, in fact, he had a casual behavior as if he knew that do and how to respond on certain occasions, he discovered other things besides that, for example, he was a 16-year-old boy, he almost strangled him at that but Viveka stopped him, his paternal instinct was quite reluctant to accept that a boy was close to his beloved daughter.
Even so, he could not deny one thing, it was a nice guy and pretty prankster, also liked the attention, if his small act of laser swords in their toaster say something.
The sound of the front door opening made both monster and alien turn, there they saw Frankie and her three friends entering the house, they also seemed to be arguing about something.
"Do you think your father tried to repair the pipes again?" Clawdeen questioned, the young woman had her gaze fixed in the direction of the truck that was parked in front of the house.
"I hope not, the last time we had the living room looked like Venice." was Frankie's answer before closing the door.
"I just hope that stupid alien is worth all this, I remind you that I…" Cleo was again trying to give one of her monologues, but Clawdeen interrupted her.
"Blah, blah, Deuce, blah, blah, date, you repeated it a hundred times on the way here, we know Cleo."
The young women turned their attention to the front when they heard the footsteps belonging to Frankie's father.
"You're back and you brought your friends." The monster approached his daughter and Upgrade leaned out behind him and raised his hand in greeting, Draculaura wasted no time and went towards him. "Your friend is amazing! Too bad I can't dissect him."
"Dad is a living being." Viktor's daughter was very aware that his father was just playing with her, but even so, could not avoid giving a disapproving look.
"I support the idea of dissection." added Cleo raised her hand but elbowed won by Clawdeen.
"Be nice for once in your life Cleo, now we can get answers from Upgrade, not to mention all those space toys that he surely has!"
"Cleo, Clawdeen is right, he has proven to be trustworthy so far, you can try to be a little more friendly?" asked the girl made of parts.
"I'll be nice with him when he gives me diamonds." she answered and then crossed her arms.
Frankie just shook his head, at least they tried, his gaze then went to his father.
"Dad, have you discovered anything new?" Viktor nodded and looked for the notes he had taken, they were many and much more detailed than the ones Frankie took days before.
"I have discovered many things about your friend, first, his physical structure seems to be composed of some kind of magnetized liquid metal, it is possible he would be a kind of robot, he can fuse and improve all the technology he touches, not only that, but it can also give them functions that they did not have before, also..."
Clawdeen chose to use her selective hearing at that time, not that she did not want to know more about her space friend, but right now she just wanted Upgrade to show him all the great things that space had, laser weapons, laser swords ... a laser epilator maybe? She then approached the space boy, Draculaura was by his side and was showing him something on his ICoffin.
"And this photo I took when Frankie became our friend, it is a nice memory, then this one, it was when our fearleading team was formed, oh! And look at this other one."
Upgrade looked at everything carefully, each photo that girl showed him gave him a little more information, a school for monsters? That sounded like a cool place if he was honest, he would like to go visit it sometime. He noticed then that Clawdeen had approached them, the young werewolf had a smile on her face, this was familiar to her, it was the same smile that he used when he unlocked some new alien in the Omnitrix, but why was that girl looking at him like that?
"Upgrade, one question, in space, do you have cool things? How lightsabers and that's stuff, right?"
He couldn't help but find that cheeky way of telling him to show him something about space funny, but he chose to simply nod, he had nothing like that, and the few weapons that the truck had were a definite NO, but he still had his anti-gravity skateboard.
"As a representative of the Earth in this cultural exchange that will obviously be reciprocal." Clawdeen put a hand to her chest and was quite proud to know those words. "I cordially ask you to show me your cool space things."
"Do you know what something you have said means?" questioned Cleo since she approaching.
"I read, occasionally, not like you."
"I'm going to ...!"
"Girls! Girls! Calm down." Draculaura rushed to interfere before those two started a fight, her gaze went to Upgrade and spoke to him. "Would you show us the things about your home?"
He looked at them for a few seconds, he had no problem doing that, there was a box full of CDs and magazines from his own Earth that he had given some time ago to his partner and friend, Rook, everything to get him a little familiar with pop culture, although he was not sure if those things existed in this reality, which would raise many questions about their origin and he was not going to be able to explain anything so complex only by speaking through notes and gestures.
On the other hand, there was his skateboard, it was advanced and cool enough to satisfy, even for the moment, Clawdeen's curiosity.
He picked up his notepad and wrote his answer.
"I have something that you might like, I can go get it from the truck"
This answer confused the girls, who looked at each other.
"Truck? Like that one out there?" asked the werewolf while she pointing over her shoulder. "Wait! Is it your ship?" he nodded. "Amazing!"
"Why would an alien disguised his ship as a plumber's truck?" questioned Cleo confused, Upgrade merely shrug, if, for him, that thing right now would be one supercar, but again, that would call much more the attention. "Either way, he can't leave the house, in case you haven't noticed, he's two meters tall, he's black and green and doesn't look like a monster at all."
"Maybe we can go get his things?" Draculaura suggested, although Upgrade did not like the idea very much, there were things there that it was better to keep hidden, luckily he had a plan.
The alien went to Viktor, who continued to show his notes to Frankie, when they saw him approach they stopped talking and looked at him. Upgrade made a sign as if he was putting something on his face, which confused Frankie quite a bit, but Viktor understood.
"Do you want your mask?" he nodded. "I think Viveka took it to the kitchen, let me go get it."
Frankie was confused by what his father said, what mask was he talking about? His eyes fell on Upgrade, who looked quite calm, apparently, he had gotten used to the presence of his father and mother, he couldn't help asking.
"How did it go? My father hasn't tried to dissect you, has he?" The alien denied, during the time that the monster couple was with him, studying him and taking notes, they behaved quite kind, they were good people.
Viktor returned shortly after, in his hands, he had the ID mask of Upgrade, who reached over to take it.
"I must say that this device is fascinating, I hope you can give it to me to study more in-depth." The alien nodded in response, he had no problem with that.
Clawdeen, Cleo, and Draculaura approached them, curious to see the mask, Cleo did not hesitate to point out something that apparently no one was noticing.
"Wearing a mask will not make you look like a monster, it will make you look ridiculous." Upgrade's answer was quite simple, his eye curved up and he soon put on said mask.
The girls were forced to cover their eyes when a powerful green light covered Upgrade's body, it took them some time to regain their sight, only to be shocked.
Occupying the place of Upgrade was a human teenager, no older than sixteen years old, he had brown hair and very messy and a big smile was plastered on his face.
None of them said anything, they just stared at him with wide eyes unable to believe what was coming.
The first to emerge from her stupor was Clawdeen, who barely managed to say only one thing.
"What the Fuck?!"
...
Welcome once again to the end of the chapter, first of all, I thank all those who comment and faithfully read this story, again, I did not expect so much acceptance.
Anyway, about what I said at the beginning, I need the help of some of you, you see, soon, possibly already in the next chapter, do not take this as something definitive I have written the first draft and so far, the fight does not enter, Ben will have an encounter with one of his villains that will end up here thanks to Eon, this is the problem, I am terrible writing fight scenes, there is also the fact that while those two are fighting, the girls will be present in the place trying to flee and possibly helping other monsters to run away, I need someone to advise me on that, how to correctly write the whole scene, if anyone can help me in this it would be amazing since I have many doubts and ideas for this.
With that said, was anyone else waiting for the notes, or was it just me? I love writing these things for a reason. Will it be constant? Eh, no idea, if you want, this is all from the Wiki of both series, I just put it here so you don't have to go to clarify any doubts there.
- Notes -
1- Eon, and know all who saw this strange movie Ben 10 ago 15 years, Eon is a genetic sample from a Chronian, species discontinued from the official canon and being only an alternate timeline, not I understand nothing and looking for information only confuses you worse.
2- On "shortcuts", Eon has searched Chrononavegador of Paradox to be guided between the multiverse, I invented these "shortcuts" because I'm sure that realities have weaknesses by which someone with powers like Eon could happen.
3- Eon is dying, something like that, using much of its power slowly kills him, that's the reason supposed to look like a zombie in Omniverse, and the way I have to nerf this villain, you will see more about this soon.
4- Slipspace, I got this out of Halo, silly, I know, but it works for what I'm doing.
5- On the ability of Viktor to "feel" the spark of Upgrade, according to wiki MH, monsters can feel other monsters, this is when Dracula mentions, Jackson "is not all he seems" referring to Holt because Dracula can feel the duality that he has. This, only adults can do for some reason the wiki didn't explain how, but let's say a wizard did it.
6- The attitude that Frankie's parents have towards Upgrade is one of distrust, he is a stranger who broke into their house and very, very curious since well, he is a fucking alien, they are scientists this is like an early Christmas gift for them. And Viktor doesn't love him very much, especially after learning that he is a 16 years old teenager, he is an overprotective father.
7- Maybe it seems that the girls are very, how to say, calm about Upgrade, which I realized not long ago, but I clarify it, only Draculaura is 90% calm next to him and claims to be her friend, her nature is that she is a kind girl with everyone, Clawdeen and Frankie are curious, but they understand that he is dangerous if they are not careful, Clawdeen is fine with him because Draculaura is fine with him and she trusts the choices of her best friend, Frankie on the other hand, as you have already read, she fears about what a stressful situation might provoke on her new space guest, Cleo is Cleo and she simply hates it because she does not respect her as her supposed superior.
8- I mentioned Jackson and his parents, according to the wiki, he considers Holt his "brother", it is not clear from which part his powers come, from his mother or father, some say that Jackson's mother is a granddaughter of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, others said is his father, here we will say is the mother, the father will be a fire elemental, which would be the uncle of Heat Burns.
9- The Stein's are Nerds, Viktor especially, Upgrade is a scientific gold mine, understand his excitement.
10- The CDs and Magazines that are inside the box, Gifts, nothing more, and that was in the truck by mere chance and so that Ben does not get bored, space travel must belong and that boy needs to entertain himself or he will do something silly.
Enough, there are thousands of more details but it doesn't matter, I like to cut into ten, I wonder if anyone reads this? If that someone got to this point.
Hey, you are great.
