A/N Hello everyone! Here's another revised chapter:) Sorry it took long, I just finished editing it. I used some old parts and added new parts just like what I did in chapter 2. Head up this chapter is a little bit longer than the previous chapters.

Chapter Three

Zoe's POV:

During Lunchtime...

I made sure to stay clear of the Jerk. Although, there was no point. I don't think I've seen him around since the first period. He probably ditched or something. Not that I cared. It just means he won't be able to ruin the rest of my day, which was good news for me.

I took a bite of my chocolate chip cookie. At that very second, someone came up to me. Feeling startled, I ended up coughing like a maniac. But it didn't take long for the person who noticed to take action and help me from choking to death.

Great.

Making another embarrassing scene of myself not only in class but in front the entire school. At least, this time I won't be invisible.

There was a ripple of laughter from the entire cafeteria but students fell silent for some reason and turned back to whatever they were doing.

"Are you alright?" He asked slightly with concern in his voice.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." I managed to say despite having my throat dry. I then let out a small cough.

Finally looking up, I couldn't tear my eyes away from him.

"Wait here." He stood up towards the vending machine and he came right back holding up a water bottle. He kindly unscrewed the lid of the bottle and handed it to me, causing me to blush.

"Thanks." I shyly responded as I took a sip of water.

"I'm Kouji Minamoto by the way." He introduced himself. Up close I had a better view of him. I admit it, he looked gorgeous. He had his long raven hair pulled back into a low ponytail and dark blue eyes. He was wearing black knee-ripped jeans with a silver chain attached to the side, plain white T-shirt and black combat boots.

Snapping out of it, I was about to introduce myself but he beat me to it. "You must be Izumi Orimoto right?"

"U-uh..Yeah that's me. But I just go by Zoe..unless you prefer to call me Izumi then I don't mind...either one is fine." I sounded nervous. I'm not great at talking to handsome guys.

"Well Zoe, do you mind if I join you?" Kouji asked as he smiled at me.

"No..No not all. Go ahead." It came out too eagerly.

"Sorry for startling you earlier. It wasn't my intention." He apologized while sitting down across from me.

"Oh. Don't worry about it, I'm fine now." I assure him.

"I can see that." He smiled in amusement.

I melted right away. Is it me or Kouji looks more charming when he smiles. I then noticed a few glances from the cafeteria, some were whispering and laughing. I frown.

No get a grip, Zoe. I shift my gaze back to my tray of food. Until Kouji spoke again.

"So can I ask where are you from?" He asked.

Slightly caught off guard, I didn't expect him to start talking to me. I just assumed he needed a place to sit, since I had the empty table all to myself. The group of girls that sat here before me decided to leave when I joined them. They didn't seem like they wanted me to sit next to them, that's how I ended up sitting alone.

"Italy." I said cheerfully.

He's the first person to ever take the time to get to know me. I couldn't help but feel warm inside. Maybe this is my chance to make a new friend.

"Cool, I've never been there but I heard food is great." He commented.

I nodded looking pleased "Yeah, I recommend trying Tiramisu. It's the best."

Kouji stared at me in confusion. "Tiramisu?"

"It's a coffee-flavored dessert." I explained.

"Right. I knew that." He grinned sheepishly, blushing slightly.

I let out a small laugh at his remark. I knew he was lying and I found it adorable for some reason.

Kouji then abruptly changed the subject to hide his embarrassment. "Anyways, do you like this school better than your old school?"

"Well, it's different." I trailed off.

He raised an eyebrow at me. "How different?"

"Well..my old school was more like a boarding school." I confessed.

Kouji stared at me in disbelief "Really? You went to a boarding school? Why? Your mom couldn't control you or you did something bad?"

Just because I went to boarding school doesn't mean I was a wild child. No one forced me to go. I just wanted to go because of the high education and freedom. But I can't tell him that. He might run off or think I'm strange for wanting to go. So I said the first thing that came to mind.

"No, my mom sent me there because...it was closest to my house." I lied lamely.

"Oh, that makes sense, but why come here?" He pointed out.

I was about to answer him, but someone interrupted. "Hey Kouji, have you seen Takuya?" a strawberry blonde haired girl asked. She was standing by the door way, her tiny outfit spelling cheerleader. She was wearing a mini red and black top with the school logo on the front, matching the skirt and black tennis. She really looks pretty.

"No," He answered quickly, keeping his eyes on me. She walked towards us with her hand on her hips.

"Kouji, I know your covering for him. Where is he? I need to talk to him."

"Look Milly, I told you I don't know where he is. And even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you." He sneered at her.

I just sat there in between them feeling awkward and uncomfortable. You would've thought I take this chance to leave them. But the thought never crossed my mind. I was busy listening to their conversation.

"First of all, don't call me that," she stated first then continued. "Second of all, I have the right to know where my boy- I mean he is okay. So, you have to tell me now!"she demanded looking really impatient.

But why does the strawberry blonde haired girl want to know where this guy named Takuya? Was she trying to say that Takuya is her boyfriend or something?

"Why are you talking to me? We're not friends. Go whined to someone who cares."

She just let out a gasp. I was shocked too. I mean, Kouji was nice a few minutes ago, now he was acting like a jerk to this girl.

"Fine, I don't need your help!" She sneered. "But now this, you're a jerk Kouji Minamoto. A really dirty jerk."

"Good luck with that, don't fall on your way out."

She gave a deadly cold glare at Kouji as she stomped out of the cafeteria like a child who did not have her way.

Kouji turned to me and apologized again for what happened. I just smiled slightly.

"Who was she?" I found myself asking. He didn't seem bothered by the question, but he didn't seem open to it either.

"Mimi Tachikawa." He said bitterly. "But we all call her Milly."

"We?" I questioned. Not sure what he was referring to.

"Takuya and I." He answered while taking out his cell phone from his back pocket. It looks like he was texting someone.

"Is he a friend of yours?" I assumed that's what he meant.

"Yeah. Actually you already met him." Kouji took one last glance at his phone before returning to look back at me.

I stared at him unsure "Really?" I haven't met someone named Takuya.

"Yeah, he's the same guy who sat next to you in Algebra." He stated.

A hint of realization then hit me like a ton of bricks "Wait, you're telling me the tall, messy brown hair, wearing a team jersey is your friend!?" I blurted out, hoping it wasn't true.

"The one and only." He grinned at me as he gazed into my eyes. Almost like he was studying my reaction.

An unpleasant image of him appeared in head, feeling sick to my stomach. Out of all the people, why does Kouji have to be associated with the likes of him? That means if I ever decided to become Kouji's friend I have to see Takuya as well. So much for avoiding him until the end of the school year.

"You're kidding." I say, making sure I didn't hear wrong.

Kouji shook his head "Nope."

"I see. Then that means Takuya and Mimi are together?" I frowned.

Don't misunderstand I didn't care if they were dating, I was more upset about finding out his Kouji's friend.

"Well, I wouldn't say together just very close, if you know what I mean." He replied wiggling his eyebrows.

No, I didn't know. I wasn't sure if I wanted an explanation either. Everything with guys had double meaning and half of them weren't good.

A voice called out to Kouji. I could hear footsteps getting near him. Wow Kouji must be really popular, there's always someone interrupting us. Not that I mind, it just means I should be lucky to even talk to him.

The smile slipped off of Kouji's face.

"Bro, what's the hold up? The guys are waiting for you." A guy that resembles Kouji casually putting an arm around Kouji's shoulder. But it was quickly swayed away by Kouji.

He has short black hair that parted to the sides of his face and same dark blue eyes. He was also wearing the same team jersey that Takuya was wearing, blue jeans and black converse. Compared to Kouji, he looked average, I'm not saying Koichi isn't handsome. He is but Kouji is slightly more handsome than him.

Kouji ignored what he said instead he introduced him to me. "Zoe, this Koichi my brother."

Koichi threw a glance in my direction this time. I blushed a little.

"H-hi." I muttered nervously.

Koichi just gave me a nod that said 'Hey." then turned back to look at his brother.

"Are you coming or not?" Koichi asked, not caring that he may have come off rude.

Kouji gave him a look and sighed "See you around Zoe." He got up from seat and was about to follow his brother.

"Yeah sure." I smiled.

Kouji smacked the back of the head of his twin brother. "Hey! what the heck was that for." earning him a cold stare in return.

"You know what."

I laughed, they seemed close. I shift my gaze away from the bickering siblings to something I think wasn't supposed to see. I saw something suspicious. Takuya appeared into the cafeteria smirking when a brunette-short hair girl followed behind secretly slipped a piece of paper in Takuya's hand before turning the opposite direction. What was that?

Takuya's POV:

I've been waiting patiently behind the corner of the hallway. Watching the Yagami siblings including Yamato and eavesdropping they're conversation. Not like I had a choice. Once we entered the school building I wasn't expecting to find both of them blocking the cafeteria pacing back and forth with Yamato leaning against the wall paying no attention to his friend, he was being distracted by his cell phone. I assume they were waiting for Kari. I couldn't let them find us walking together, so I hid while Kari tried to get rid of them.

Yamato was the first one to notice Kari walking up to them, so he smacked Taichi's shoulder to stop pacing and turn his attention to Kari.

"Thief." Taichi accused her, once Kari appeared in front of him. Well that didn't take long.

"Gee Tai, is that anyway to speak to your sister?" Kari batted her eyelashes.

"It is if she went behind my back and took my car without asking me first. Did you really think I wouldn't have noticed." Taichi while crossing his arms.

"Yes it's not like it's the first time, besides I assumed you were okay with it."Kari defended, feeling judged.

"What makes you think that?" Taichi inquired, looking at her incredulously

"Didn't Matt tell you?" Kari was trying to direct the attention to Yamato.

"Dude you knew about it and didn't tell me!" Tai played the part of a betrayed friend.

"I thought you knew." Yamato shrugged before returning to his phone.

"No, how long has this been going..wait nevermind I don't want to know."

"Relax Tai, I returned it the way it was." She assured him.

"That's not the issue. Matt back me up here." Taichi nudged his friend that it was his cue to jump right back in the conversation.

"Yeah I'm not part of this." Yamato shot him down.

"Matt that wasn't supposed to be your line." Taichi mumbled.

Yamato ignored him as he picked up his backpack from the ground and threw it over his shoulder. Yamato glanced over his shoulder and stretched out his arm to wave bye.

"Hey where are you going?" Taichi asked.

Yamato ran a hand through his long blonde hair. "Music room."

"Thanks for nothing!" Tai shouted behind him.

There goes his failed attempt of good and bad cop towards her sister. I bet his regrets asking Yamato Ishida for help.

"I don't see what the problem is, I can recall you telling me I was allowed to borrow your stuff." Kari pointed out.

"Pfft I meant that as taking minor things when you asked to borrow my headphones or computer not my car!"He objected.

"Oh then you should have been more clear next time." Kari scoffed.

"Yeah well now you know. My car is of limits." He explained briefly.

Kari looked back at my direction, remembering my presence. I motioned for her to hurry up. She nodded and turned back to face her brother.

"So are we done here? My friends are waiting for me." Kari was ready to leave when Taichi blocked her path.

"Not so fast."

"Now whattt?" Kari whined.

"Why were you skipping class? Where did you go with my car anyways? You do realize our parents aren't going to be happy when they find out. " He started lecturing her again.

Before Kari could answer him. I came out of hiding and inserted myself they're conversation, since it seems that it's not going to end anytime soon.

"Takuya?" Taichi looked at me surprised that I appeared out of nowhere.

"Hey."

"You finally decided to show up. Where the heck you did you disappeared to? " He interrogated me, like what he was doing to Kari.

"Never mind that, coach Fujiwara is looking for you." I shiftly change the subject.

Kari caught on to what I was doing, thankfully she let me take control of the situation.

"What for?" Taichi asked, then concluded "Wait, I'm in trouble?"

"Who knows. Go ask him. Oh and I should probably hurry. He seemed to be in a bad mood." I coaxed, hanging onto my every word.

"Thanks for the heads up and Kari, we'll continue to discuss this at home."

"Okay mom." Kari teased.

The corner of my mouth twitched; it was all I could do to prevent myself from laughing.

"Hey I saw that, it's not even funny." Taichi commented.

"I didn't say anything." I grinned mockingly.

"See what you did." Taichi ruffled her hair. She giggled as she quickly tried to fix her hair.

"Sorry, now go already." Kari was gently pushing Taichi but he was reluctant to move from his spot. Giving her a hard time on purpose. If I wasn't here she would probably hit him by now.

"Taichi!"

We all spun around to see the source of the high pitch voice. A familiar perky girl appeared, with frizzy reddish brown hair and brown eyes, gaining my interest.

"Jun what do you want? I'm kinda busy. " Taichi asked while straightening himself.

"Have you seen Matt?" Jun asked not even trying to mask her hopefulness, Kari and I pulled a face at each other.

Ever since Jun met Yamato, she became obsessed with him. Always clinging to him and

asking us where his whereabouts were. It's annoying but we're used to by now.

"Check the music room." He answered without a second thought.

Jun's face lit up "Great thanks." She waved goodbye to us and went on her way to find Yamato.

Kari and I stared at Taichi in disbelief, he gave us a quick innocent 'What' expression before heading off. We both knew that was his settled way of getting back at Yamato for not helping earlier.

I shook my head, I'm going to hear Yamato complaining about it later. I just know it.

I walked into the cafeteria, parting ways with Kari not before I catched a note from her unnoticed.

"Yo, Kanbara over here." JP waved. He and the guys were sitting in our usual spot, the center of the table. You just have a better view of everybody from the cafeteria. It is also the perfect spot to start picking out our next target (girls). I was making my way towards a seat next to JP and the guys, when the new girl from earlier strolled past me she was throwing away her tray of food by the nearest trash can. Before heading out of the cafeteria.

To be honest, I was captivated by her sight only for a moment. I grinned to myself.

I hope you like it or not, it's up to you.

Until Next Time…
