In the bathroom, Star was brushing her teeth while listening to Video Game by her favourite boyband, Love Sentence. She brushed her teeth to the rhythm of the song which she knew wasn't perfect, but loved it all the same.
Star was excited for tonight, since she had booked VIP backstage tickets for her and Marco to see Love Sentence in their reunion tour. She was excited because not only were Star and Marco gonna see their favourite band, they were gonna meet them as well.
"I was in my room, waiting for my doom, on The Temple of Gloom! When I was on my last life, you then came to life! And in my view, you came to save my heart! When I was face-to-face with that boss, you defeated him with a toss! She was perfect, she was a beaut, she was in my video game!"
Star then started dancing while lip syncing to the lyrics all while brushing her teeth at the same time.
"Are you getting into those gums?" Asked a voice that made Star scream and drop her toothbrush. She turned around to see the former Sensei Brantley standing beside the door, dressed in a white shirt with a black tie and a dark grey jacket since he was dressed like a bodyguard.
"Brantley!" Star exclaimed before turning off the radio. "Could you not interrupt me?! I get you're meant to be my bodyguard, but I can handle myself."
"That's what Officer Rime said when he assigned me to you via Mayor Eclipsa's orders." Brantley interjected.
"Brantley, you weren't even assigned to me." Star said.
"I wasn't?" Brantley asked.
"No!" Star exclaimed. "You're not even a bodyguard. I bet it was another one of Rime's pranks."
"She did!" Brantley argued before opening the door to see Eclipsa exiting Marco's bedroom. "Hey Mayor Eclipsa, did you assign me to be Star's bodyguard."
Eclipsa stared at the former Sensei with confusion like he was rambling on about some myth.
"I didn't assign you to Star." Eclipsa informed him. "Heck, I didn't even assign anyone to guard Star. She can handle herself."
Brantley just froze like he just realised he had been pranked and he sighed with disappointment. "Oh man, why do I fall for them?"
Star then exited the bathroom as she put on her Love Sentence T-shirt and showed it off to Eclipsa. "So, how do I look?" Star asked.
"You look like you're ready." Eclipsa replied.
"What about Marco?" Star's answer was then answered when she heard the sound of Marco vomiting in his bedroom.
"I don't think he'll be ready for a few days." Eclipsa replied.
Star and Eclipsa walked into Marco's room where they saw the karate lover was throwing up in a bucket on the side of his bed. He had been sick for about a few hours and Star thought he would've been better to go to the Love Sentence concert.
"Nothing's changed?" Star asked.
"Unfortunately not." Eclipsa replied.
Marco then laid back on his back as he went through his 19th throw up in the last few hours. "Aww man, I think I don't have any guts."
Angie and Rafael then walked in to Marco's room with very worried faces since they were anxious that their son could be in a severe condition.
"Eclipsa, is Marco okay?" Angie asked.
"Well, he's sick." Eclipsa replied. "It's a bite from Viper Rattler. It's obvious he sustained it while fighting her. But fortunately, he will recover in three days since it's luckily a non lethal bite."
"Oh, that's reassuring." Marco said. "Shame I can't go to the Love Sentence concert."
"Well Star, looks like you'll have to go on your own." Raf said.
Star then stared at Raf in sadness, "What?! I have an extra ticket for nothing?! And with no one to go with?! Most of all, they're VIP!"
"Well, it's good to have a spare just in case one gets lost." Eclipsa said, trying to put a positive spin on the situation.
"Yeah, but it sucks that I won't have anyone to go with." Star groaned.
"I could always accompany you." Eclipsa offered.
"A mayor in a concert? Way too much attention." Star responded. "And it should be Love Sentence's night."
"You do have a good point." Eclipsa said.
"Perhaps you could ask another one of your friends to go with you." Angie suggested.
"Yeah, I could." Star said taking in Eclipsa's suggestion with stride. But then she started to think about Marco. "But, it's a shame Marco won't be coming."
"Star, I'll be fine." Marco assured his girlfriend. "While I won't get to meet Love Sentence, you will and that will make me very happy."
Star smiled back at her boyfriend, finding his words generous.
"Aww." Rafael cooed. "Those two remind me of when we were younger, Angie."
"You mean when you were sick with the flu and had to go to a Cove concert without you?" Angie asked.
"Yes." Raf sighed. "Why did you remind me of that?"
Elsewhere in Echo Creek, Jackie and her girlfriend, Chloe were sitting on a park bench playing on their phones.
"Do you wanna bet I can climb up the world's tallest building without falling?" Chloe asked her girlfriend.
"Your crazy funeral." Jackie retorted as she wrapped her arm around Chloe's shoulder.
Just then, Star approached the two pulling her friendly greeting smile. "Hey you two."
"Yo Star, waddup?" Jackie asked.
"A bit bummed out that Marco's sick and can't come with me to the Love Sentence concert." Star replied.
"Aw dude that sucks." Jackie commented. "Do you have anyone to go with you?"
"Well, that's what I was gonna do." Star replied. "I was wondering if either you or Chloe would like to accompany me to the Love Sentence concert? They're VIP."
"VIP, sweet." Jackie commented. "But, I already have the regular tickets for me and Chloe."
Star then froze with surprise since this wasn't exactly the response she was expecting. "You sure one of you doesn't want the VIP tickets?"
"I'd love to come, but I wanna spend some time with Chloe." Jackie replied.
"Then I'll take your two regular tickets." Star offered. "I mean, I know this may seem like a sacrifice since I spent two months trying to get these."
"Well Star, Chloe may handle parkour, but she gets nervous when meeting famous people." Jackie explained.
"That is true." Chloe confirmed.
"Yeah, when she met French actor Vincent Castle, she drooled, sweat and couldn't speak." Jackie explained.
"Oh." Star said with disappointment. "Guess I'll have to find someone else."
And so Star did. She first tried the spoiled rich girl, Brittany Wong, someone she hadn't seen in a while, but she rudely declined since it was Star Butterfly and she hated her. Star then tried Katrina, Buff Frog's daughter, but Buff Frog explained that she was too young for concert. Star then tried Ludo, but he was already going with his brother, Dennis and Ludo didn't exactly wanna meet Love Sentence for whatever the reason. Then Star decided to try Marco's friend, Ferguson, but he was busy playing D&D with Alfonzo, Foolduke and Ruberiot so he couldn't come.
After about 13 attempts and with only five hours to spare, Star decided she'd try Janna next, even though she doesn't like Love Sentence, she knew Janna would probably enjoy sabotaging the concert and pulling off a prank.
She approached the house, knocked on the door and Janna answered, pulling her signature smirk.
"Hey Star, what's up?" Janna asked.
"Nothing much." Star replied. "What about you?"
"It's Friday, it's summoning time." Janna replied.
"Summoning time?" Star queried.
"Yeah." Janna replied while motioning Star to come in. "My folks are out and they always know what I'm up to on Fridays."
The weird girl lead the former princess into her nice living room where she moved the coffee table aside and used a spray can to draw a circle with a diamond in the centre.
"What are you summoning?" Star asked.
"Pass me the towel." Janna requested to Star, who passed the weird girl the pink towel.
"What for?" Star asked. "Are you summoning a bathtub?"
"It's not a something Star, it's a someone." Janna replied. "Now, stand back, it gets crazy."
Star took about five steps back from Janna in an effort to keep herself a little bit safe from whatever she was planning.
"Oh by the way Star, what time is it?" Janna asked.
Star looked at her watch and said, "It's 2:03PM, why?"
Then, Janna's pupils dilated making Janna's eyes pitch white and she then started the summoning. "roticuL moT nommuS! roticuL moT nommuS! roticuL moT nommuS!" Janna chanted repeatedly.
Just then, the symbol lit up and a stream of fire shot out from the ground. Star wasn't at all affected by this since this was Janna after all, she's probably summoned many creatures.
But once the fire disappeared, it turned out to have summoned Star's ex boyfriend, Tom Lucitor wrapped in a towel.
He screamed as he held the towel over his body to make sure the girls didn't see anything.
"Janna! Star!" Tom exclaimed.
"Huh, thought he would've been in the shower by now." Janna said with disappointment.
"Well, I thought I'd go in early!" Tom responded. "And once I got out, I was summoned."
"Okay, now that I'm done, what were you about to ask, Star?" Janna asked.
"Well, Marco's sick right now and-"
"Marco's sick?" Tom asked with worry. "Is he okay?"
"Don't worry Tom, Marco's gonna be fine in a few days." Star assured her ex. "Anyway Janna, since Marco is sick, I was wondering if you would like to accompany to the Love Sentence concert. I have VIP tickets."
"I'd love to come Star, but I don't want to." Janna replied. "Besides, I think you were asking the wrong person." Janna then motioned to Tom whom was busy trying to summon a portal back to the underworld, but that would lead him to dropping his towel.
"I don't know…" Star trailed unsure if she should be taking Tom due to status of being exes.
"Come on, I thought you two were good." Janna pointed out. "And not to mention, you hung out with him."
"Look, I'm fine when it's just me, Marco, you and him; But me and him? Do you know what it might lead to?" Star asked with worry.
"You're worried about a love triangle." Janna theorised.
"Wow, is that what it's called?" Star asked.
"Yup." Janna replied. "A cliche that everyone can agree is very annoying."
"I mean, as much as I wanna go with someone, could you imagine the awkwardness that will ensue?" Star asked.
"Pssh, that won't happen." Janna assured Star. "Besides, Tom already has a new girlfriend who he is very quiet about as well as super secretive."
Star gave Janna a disinterested look and said, "Janna, it's you."
"If it was me, then I would've pulled Tom's towel off." Janna retorted.
"Whatever." Star replied, sick of the game Janna and Tom keep playing. They were obviously together, they just don't wanna say anything about it.
Star then approached Tom, who was busy trying to summon a portal to the underworld, but with no luck since he was holding his towel with his other hand.
"Hey Tom." Star said.
Tom turned around, trying to keep his towel on and gave Star a smile. "Oh, hey Star. Are you about to ask me out to the Love Sentence concert?"
Star then froze in surprise, but she then realised she wasn't being quiet about it when she was chatting with Janna.
"Well, do you want to?" Star asked. "They're VIP backstage tickets."
"Wait, VIP?" Tom queried with a surprise look on his face. His surprised expression caused him to drop his towel in surprise, leading Star to cover her eyes while Janna was taking it all in. "VIP?"
"Yeah Tom, put your towel back on." Star responded.
"Or don't, your choice." Janna interjected.
"Oh right." Tom said with embarrassment while putting his towel back on. "Anyway, Love Sentence VIP tickets? That means, we get to meet them?" Star nodded her head, confirming Tom's question.
"That is awesome!" Tom exclaimed with excitement. "I mean, I was gonna spend my Fridays playing video games, but now I have plans with my….Ex girlfriend." Tom trailed quite a bit, feeling the awkwardness. "Well, seeing that we can hang out as friends with Janna and Marco, I think we handle it by ourselves."
"Yeah, hopefully." Star said with a reluctant sounding tone in her voice.
"Hopefully." Tom said. "Could the both of you turn around? I'm about to summon a portal back to my home and I don't do well when people are staring at my naked form."
"Oh, of course." Star replied before turning around.
"I'm totally not looking." Janna yelled from the staircase.
Tom then dropped his towel and opened the portal back to his home, about to get ready for the concert.
Star, despite being great friends with Tom, was still kind of worried that her and Tom on her own would lead to them two doing something romantic with one another leading to another pointless love triangle between her, Marco and him. But if it did happen, then it was gonna lead to a love square between her, Tom, Marco and Tom's new girlfriend who was obviously Janna. I mean come on, it is Janna. Them two were made for each other.
Janna then walked downstairs and approached Star with a cheeky smirk on her face. "Oh yeah, you know I saw everything."
About 12 minutes later, Star was waiting outside Janna's house for Tom whom was taking quite a long time to get ready.
And in those 12 minutes, Star never called Marco or anyone close to her since she was more occupied with thinking about what might happen between her and Tom, as well as Heckaron and his bounty hunters which was something she should've been more worried about. But at least Love Sentence will take her mind off of it, but going with Tom on the other hand, that's where the problem will arise.
Just then, a red fiery beam shot out from the ground and Tom walked out wearing a black shirt with Love Sentence on it.
Star stared at Tom in surprise since usually when Tom wore a shirt like this, it would burn up.
"Specially crafted shirt." Tom replied. "My Uncle Blade made it."
"Uncle Blade?"
"He's not…" Tom trailed a bit, implying that Uncle Blade wasn't a member of the family he saw often. "But that doesn't matter, we have about 4 hours to spare, what should we do?"
"You know what, I haven't given it much thought." Star replied.
"Well, we can always go and see a movie." Tom suggested.
"Sure." Star responded. "But not the new action flick, People In Brown: International. Not only is the movie terrible, but there's a plot twist that I will reveal to you when watching it."
"Well, I heard When Barry Met Callie was great." Tom suggested. "Just a great movie about a male and female friend not getting together. And it only lasts 89 minutes so we have time."
Star smiled. "Sounds great. Let's go."
Tom was about to teleport them both to the theatre, but Star stopped her ex and suggested that they'd walk instead since it was a beautiful night and the former princess wanted to the make the most of it.
So Tom agreed and the two then started walking, but far away, the four bounty hunters, B. Utcher, Viper Rattler, Bane Whispers and The Dog were watching from a house across the street with Utcher using binoculars.
"Well?" Viper asked. "What do you see?"
"Star and some demon who looks like her boyfriend, are going out on a stroll." Utcher replied. "Probably on their way to the Love Sentence concert."
"Who are Love Sentence?" The Dog replied.
"Lived on Earth for many years yet doesn't know who Love Sentence is." Utcher commented while smirking. "What were you doing? Living under a rock?"
"I lived under a boulder for five years if that counts." The Dog replied.
The three hunters were silent for a moment about The Dog's comment before shrugging it off.
While Tom and Star were walking along the town with the sun setting in the background to add beauty, where they pass Jackie and Chloe still in their original positions which just so happened to be the bench.
"Do they always sit there?" Tom pondered.
"Jackie's chilled as well as her girlfriend, when she isn't doing parkour that is." Star responded. "Hey you two!"
"Hey Star." Jackie replied. "Found your rebound guy."
"We are not dating!" Tom yelled.
"Don't worry, we're just friends!" Star assured Jackie.
Jackie then realised the words she used before were a little inappropriate and the usually chilled girl soon panicked. "That's not what I meant! I meant a rebound guy to go to the Love Sentence concert instead of…..You know?…..Marco!"
"It's okay!" Star assured her before she and Tom continued walking.
Jackie groaned with embarrassment while Chloe smirked at this very rare moment of her girlfriend being embarrassed. "I love these rare moments."
Later, Tom and Star eventually made it to the movie theatre where a theatre attendant was in the booth waiting to hand out tickets.
"I hope the rest of the night isn't like this." Tom said.
"Yeah." Star responded. "Cause this will be embarrassing."
Star then placed about 20 dollars by the booth. "Two for When Barry Met Callie."
"Hmm, great choice for the two of you." The usher said as he handed the two the tickets. "It's the romantic movie of the year."
Tom and Star froze when he said what appeared to be some random critic's opinion on the movie. Was that dumb usher implying he thinks them two are a couple?
"Why are you describing the movie like that?" Star asked.
"Well, isn't it obvious?" The usher asked. "You two are a cute couple."
Behind the usher, his corn on his corn on the cob that he was having for dinner, popped into popcorn, startling the usher that he ducked.
Star looked at Tom, whose eyes were bright red in anger but they quickly turned back into his regular irises and he calmed down.
"How did that happen?" Tom sarcastically asked the terrified usher before taking the tickets and walking into the theatre.
The terrified usher poked his head up to see if the coast was clear, but Star was still there, looking surprised after what Tom did. She then smiled at the usher and said, "Thank you."
Inside the not so packed theatre, Star took a seat next to a now relaxed Tom, who was eating a tub of sharing popcorn. Star soon sat next to Tom and started eating the popcorn with her ex boyfriend.
They were silent as they munched on their little movie snack for about two minutes before Tom decided to break the silence.
"I'm sorry about what happened earlier." Tom apologised.
"Hey, it's fine." Star replied. "That usher honestly had it coming."
"Mmm Hmm." Tom replied. "Couldn't agree more."
The two continued to eat the popcorn while B. Utcher was watching the two from five seats behind them, sharing some popcorn with StarFan13, who looked sad and was crying her eyes out.
"Why?! Why?! Why?! Why?!" StarFan13 cried. "Why is Star with Tom?! She should've been with Marco!" StarFan13 continued to cry her eyes out while eating popcorn.
"I don't know about you, but I think they make a good couple." Utcher commented.
"They were never destined!" StarFan cried.
"We are not dating!" Star and Tom yelled from the front row in unison.
Then StarFan instantly calmed down. "Oh okay."
Next to Utcher's left, were the rest of his bounty hunting crew all eating popcorn while staring at Utcher with awkward looks.
"Remind me why we're sitting next to her." The Dog requested. "I forgotten due to the fact she was crying and screaming at the same time."
"I thought we could get in with her being my niece." Utcher replied.
"I don't see the family resemblance." Viper commented while looking at her.
"Well, she's my step sister's kid." Utcher replied.
Back with Star and Tom, they smiled as the movie started to roll. The two continued to munch on their popcorn, but Star soon asked Tom, "You sure this isn't a romantic movie?"
"No, it's definitely a buddy movie." Tom replied confidently. "The couple won't get together."
But after 83 minutes of back and forth arguments and questions regarding how the main characters felt about each other, Tom and Star were shocked by the movie's twist. The two couples who acted like they were never gonna get together, got together at the end because of some inconvenience and forced conflict.
"Oh my…."
"…Corn."
Star and Tom looked around the movie theatre and saw that there were many people kissing, couples. Except for the bounty hunters and StarFan13, who was happy about how the movie ended.
"Aww! That's so sweet." StarFan said.
"I don't know Amanda, I think Callie should've ended up with Dom." Utcher said. "I mean, he tried so hard to change for her yet she ignores him."
StarFan glared at her uncle aggressively which got Utcher's bounty hunter crew to move a few seats up, since she is a fangirl and they kind of know how aggressive they can get if someone has a different opinion.
"Uh oh." Utcher said.
Star and Tom were very uncomfortable about this situation that they quickly ran out of the theatre where they passed the very biased usher, who ducked to make sure he wasn't seen.
"Why would they even assume we are a couple?" Star asked.
"Because there are some people who can't even grasp on boys and girls being friends." Tom replied.
"Seems about it." Star said. "So, where should we eat? I think we might need something to eat."
"Yeah, we only have three hours until the concert." Tom said. "Where do you suggest we go?"
"Well, I would say Britta's Tacos but I honestly don't feel like it even though I have enough money only for Britta's Tacos." Star explained.
"I know a place we can go." Tom said. "It's a restaurant. Carl & Ellie's, I have enough money for it."
"Great." Star replied. "Let's hope it's not awkward."
Later, Star and Tom had arrived to the restaurant but to their shock, there were a lot of couples eating there, including Jackie and Chloe.
"Well, this was unexpected." Tom commented.
The couple were approached by a waiter who was an old man, possibly in his late 60's. Who was balding but had grey hair growing on the side of his head. "Hi, table for you two?" The waiter asked.
"Yeah." Star replied.
"You know, you two remind me of me and my wife when we went to a restaurant on our first date." The very polite old man said.
"We are not dating!" Tom exclaimed at the man angrily.
The sudden outburst caused the man to almost drop the menu he had in his hand and clutch on his chest. "Sure, give me a heart attack why don't ya?" The man sarcastically commented. "I should experience one at some point anyway."
"Sorry, we've been mistaken as a couple a lot today and we don't need that again." Star explained.
"That's okay." The man assured the two. "Come, I'll get you two a seat."
Later, Star and Tom were seated by a table beside the window. They faced each other with awkward faces since this was the first time since the break up that they were having dinner together on their own.
The two were staring at each other in awkwardness as the waiter handed the two their separate meals. Star was having spaghetti and meatballs while Tom was having a steak cooked medium rare with salad and fries on the side.
The two didn't exactly have anything to talk about due to the awkward situation the two were in. All around them, there were couples both young and old having their meals with some of them sharing kisses.
Star and Tom then gave each other a look that said they were feeling each other's uncomfortableness and tried to eat their meals in peace, but they were sitting near Jackie and Chloe. With Chloe leaning her against the table so Jackie could place her hand on top of it like a typical couple would.
"Let's just look out the window." Star suggested.
"Good idea." Tom agreed.
And so, that's what Star and Tom decided to do. They looked out of the window and unfortunately with it being a window, they could see through the reflection many couples doing couple stuff.
Tom and Star sighed in annoyance. Let's hope the rest of the night won't be like this.
But unfortunately, it kind of was like this. They decided to walk along the park where the park ranger mistook them for a couple and many couples were holding each other's hands.
They then walked along the city where they somehow walked pass graffiti art of a heart with the initials marked SB and TL 4ever. The initials weren't theirs, but it was close enough.
They soon decided to lay in a field where the sun was close to going down until tomorrow, but they couldn't admire the beauty since one of the passing clouds looked heart shaped.
"Aww come on!" Tom exclaimed.
Tom sat up in annoyance and yelled out into the sky in anger without setting anything on fire. "Does fate think we're a couple?!"
Star then sat up feeling saddened. "Maybe going out together was a bad idea." Star said.
"I agree." Tom said even though he seemed kind of sad about it. "I think it's best we go to the Love Sentence concert separately."
Star, despite the fact she didn't want Tom to go, had to agree with him that maybe it was best for them to go separately.
"Well, I hope we see each other when we meet the band." Star said to Tom.
"Yeah, me too." Tom said.
"Aww, the perfect advantage." Said the familiar sinister voice of Viper Rattler, who was standing with The Dog, Utcher and Bane Whispers. "You two splitting up is just what we need to gain the advantage."
"You moron!" Utcher exclaimed angrily. "You shouldn't have announced it in front of them!"
"What kind of professional bounty hunter are you?!" The Dog asked. "You don't announce your presence near the target."
Viper rolled her eyes as she and the bounty hunters started to approach the former Princess and demon prince. Star got into her karate pose while Tom lit his hands on fire, ready to attack the very determined bounty hunters.
"Can't you four have a break?" Star asked.
"Well, we would." Viper replied. "But we have a job to be doing."
"Speaking of break, I'm gonna be unavailable for a few separate days since I have to take care of my niece at some points." Utcher informed the bounty hunters.
Viper sighed. "When?"
"You'll know." Utcher replied.
"There's no escape you two." The Dog said. "You're on your own. You can run, but we'll catch up. Unless you can fly then good luck."
Tom smirked gave a smug smirk while Star cracked her knuckles, ready to fight. "I can fly, but she can't….." Tom soon trailed off, realising what he'll have to do. "….and carrying her will be quite awkward."
"Aww, too embarrassed to be with your girlfriend?" Viper asked.
"She is not my girlfriend!" Tom shouted. "Oh you know what?! Ryder!"
"Ryder?" Star queried before a beam of fire shot out from the ground and into the sky and to Star's surprise, there was a dragon cycle that looked similar to Nachos but wasn't due to the dog tag reading 766.
Star stared at her ex in surprise as he jumped on his dragon cycle while the hunters were in surprise, with The Dog standing back a bit due to the fire.
"Star, come with me if you don't want bounty hunters on your tail." Tom said.
Star smiled and jumped on the dragon cycle, of course sitting behind Tom and holding onto his waist to make sure she didn't fall off.
Then, the dragon cycle flew off with Star and Tom on it with the bounty hunters left behind due to the unfortunate fact they couldn't fly.
"Well, unless one of us can fly, we've lost them." Utcher commented before Bane walked up in front of him and getting on their own dragon cycle.
Bane soon commanded his pet/ride to fly up and then started to make chase for the two friends while Utcher just stared at Bane in disbelief.
"They couldn't have fit that in their pocket!" Utcher yelled. "I mean, no one could have!"
"Forget it Utcher, it's Bane Whispers." Viper said like a cool detective at the end of a famous film noir.
During the chase, Bane was trying their best to shoot the two down with buzzsaws shooting from their wrist.
Tom quickly manoeuvred his dragon cycle to go down and managed to dodge the incoming blades while Bane followed behind them.
Tom retaliated by firing a few fireballs at the hunter, which they dodged all the same by manoeuvring downwards.
"Hold still!" Tom demanded as he threw another fireball.
"Tom, eyes on the sky!" Star yelled.
Tom then managed to put his eyes back on the road where he realised he was about to crash into a chopper. He luckily moved his cycle down while Bane just crashed their cycle through the chopper, leading the pilots to jump out, luckily they were all wearing parachutes.
Their chase continued pass Britta's Tacos where Oskar was playing his guitar on one of the unoccupied tables and wasn't somehow knocked down by the impact of the wind.
They also flew past Jeremy, who was teaching karate students his own brand of karate in the middle of a field, where the unexpected dragon cycles flying past caused Jeremy and many of his students to be knocked down.
"You're insane!" Jeremy yelled.
Then, the chase lead to the empty river where Tom flew underneath the bridge with Bane following.
"Tom, how much juice does Ryder have?!" Star asked.
"I don't know!" Tom replied. "I had no plan to begin with! I just tried to outrun them until they got tired!"
"Well, it's not working!" Star argued.
"I don't have anything else!" Tom yelled. "I mean, it's not like a miracle is just gonna come out of nowhere!"
Just then, Bane got hit on the head by a random crowbar, causing them to crash their dragon cycle into a small ditch and for Bane to crash land into a random trashcan and for the lid to close on them.
This random coincidence caused Tom to stop his dragon cycle and for him to see who saved their lives and it just so happened to be Janna poking her head out of a bush.
"Wow! Never thought I'd actually hit someone." Janna said to herself.
"Thanks for the save Janna!" Star yelled.
"I just saved you?" Janna asked. "Are they okay? I don't care, I'm just curious."
"I hope that stopped them." Tom replied.
"Permanently." Star responded threateningly.
"You two better not kiss!" Janna yelled out.
"We won't!" Tom yelled. "And we are only just friends."
"Is that a Love Sentence pun?!"
"No!" Tom shouted.
"Thanks for the assist anyway Janna, even though it was unintentional!" Star yelled.
"Just don't expect me saving your butt all the time." Janna replied. "Now, have fun you crazy kids!"
Later, Star and Tom were sitting on top of a random building taking a break from all the randomness that had happened. They only had about 45 minutes until the Love Sentence Concert so they decided to sit on the edge of a building just watching the sun finally setting.
"Wow, that was intense." Tom said.
"Yeah." Star agreed. "Will they ever stop?"
"They will." Tom assured her. "I mean, when have situations like this succeed in their favour?"
"Never." Star replied.
"Exactly." Tom replied. "So, we have 45 minutes, is there anything you want to talk about?"
Star looked off into the distance, feeling worried and guilty all at the same time. The worried part was obviously the hunters, but the guilty part was something else.
"Tom, I feel that these hunters are after me for a good reason." Star replied. "Heckaron obviously sent them for what I did to the magic realm. I did kill innocent magical creatures for selfish reasons. I didn't check if there was another way because of my love of monsters, but it was more of for Marco. I wish I could just go back and tell past me there was another way to save the monsters and stop Mina."
"Star, now you're just being hard on yourself." Tom said.
"Well, it's true." Star said. "I mean, because of my selfishness and due to the fact I cared more about monsters than anything else, I completely ignored you."
"Star…."
"Don't act like it's not true Tom, it is." Star argued. "I ignored you completely during our second relationship even though you did so much to change for me and I ignored you completely. How were you not at least angry with me?! Heck, were you even the tiniest bit annoyed when me and Marco kissed while we were together?!"
Tom looked off into the distant as he thought back to the day Marco came clean to him about what he and Star did in the photo booth. "I was annoyed when Marco told me he wasn't bluffing but, I wasn't full on angry. But after you confirmed it with me, I was beginning to wonder if you actually did love me."
"Tom, I did." Star said.
"Well you surely got over me dumping you after a day!" Tom argued. "Because the next day, I find out, you and Marco are together. So you must've fallen out of love with me at some point, you were just telling yourself you still loved me so you could hide who you really loved, which just so happened to be Marco!"
"But you're cool with me dating Marco, right?"
"Marco is an awesome guy." Tom replied. "And, I'm happy you chose him. What doesn't make me happy is how you moved on after I dumped you. It was sloppy and too quick."
"I'm sorry." Star responded while wiping away her tears.
"Hey, hey, hey." Tom repeated while hugging her. "That's in the past. I'm sorry I got a bit annoyed at you, but, you're happy with what you have and I'm happy with the girl I have."
"It's Janna, right?" Star asked.
"Yes, it's Janna." Tom sighed.
"Is that the truth or are you just saying that so me and Marco will stop teasing you about it?"
"No. Jantom is a thing." Tom replied.
"Jantom?"
"Ship name. StarFan13 came up with it."
"Of course." Star laughed before thinking about the whole genocide thing. "While things with you and I are good, I can't fix what I've done to the magical realm. All the resources and creatures, gone. All because I was too selfish. Should I just continue with my life without thinking about consequences? Or, should I hand myself in?"
Tom didn't know what to do with this situation. Star was under a lot of stress with her being a target to somebody who appeared to love magic more than he did life. The ex demon boyfriend took his ex by her hand and said, "Maybe that's not up to me to decide, it's your choice. But I think you need to take your mind off of it. So how about we go and see Love Sentence and meet them?"
Star looked to her ex boyfriend and smiled at him and she nodded her head. "Yeah. This is supposed to be a fun night. Now come on, let's go to the Love Sentence concert and be just friends."
Tom squealed. "That's my second favourite Love Sentence song!"
"Mine too!" Star exclaimed with happiness.
And so later, Tom and Star arrived at the Love Sentence concert where the popular boy and sung their favourite songs. Including; Too Little Too Late, Awesome Feeling, Just Friends, Videogame and many more.
During the Just Friends portion, many couples kissed each other on the lips with Star and Tom leading up to be on the kiss cam since once again, somebody thought they were a couple. But Star and Tom just kissed whatever food or beverage they had in their hands which annoyed some of the audience members. But like that famous Love Sentence song said, they were Just Friends.
