System 5689 Beta

October 5th

"This is Taipei Actual to the SR2 Normandy. You are cleared to dock." a spacecraft traffic control officer reported.

"Copy that, I would like to point this out for the record, this is spooky as fuck." Joker said over the comms before glancing back at the two hulking supersoldiers.

"If you ever come to our galaxy, this is considered pretty normal." came the reply.

"Yeah no, I'm staying here. Please don't kidnap us and subject us to your torture." Joker sarcastically said. This causes a bit of panic with the rest of the team, fearing they just insulted a nation several times more advanced.

The comms officer just laughs. "Fair enough. If you ever do come and visit, we'll be happy to take you to the less dangerous parts. Docking coordinates are set, follow the markers."

Shepard looks towards Ross. "So aside from your people's apparent desire to hunt Reapers, why else are you here?"

Ross rolled his eyes. "Again, we came here to establish contact with potentially lost chapters of the Coalition member races."

"Then why did you bring a fleet that could subjugate my entire race if they were alive, primitive?" Javik growls as he approaches the bridge. He had been told that there was a much more advanced version of Humanity in another galaxy and he flipped out, learning that there were other Primitives.

"One, shut up about us being Primitives. Two, we became aware of the Reapers nearly 2 decades ago and that gave us the excuse to dust off our fleets and restart the shipyards." Ross replied, slightly amused by the Prothean.

"Do you have other ships like this? As big and advanced? This ship is as fast as a standard cruiser, yet it is clearly more powerful than the combined fleets of our races!" Tali asked, practically begging for more information.

"TALI!" everyone yelled, only for Ross and Limburn to laugh.

"Ha, yes we do. What you're seeing is the Broadside class of Super titan." Garrus interrupted by saying "Called it!" which got some looks from the others.

"As I was saying, the Broadside is a newer class of vessels meant for long travels and endurance missions. Aside from the fuck ton of weapons, it is also equipped to be useful to other scenarios. From aiding in planetary disasters, planetary invasions, constructing colonies, evacuations, and a mobile shipyard. Currently, we have 4, including the Taipei, with one more on its shakedown cruise. We also have 8 more in various stages of construction. We also have several hundred vessels of what we call the standard Titan class. They are 20 KMs long and solely meant for war. Built around one very large energy weapon, and several heavy artillery batteries. They also carry an obscene amount of strike craft and destroyers, though the destroyers have been modified to be completely automated."

"YOU HAVE 4 OF THOSE THINGS!? WHERE DID YOU GET THE RESOURCES FOR THIS PROJECT PRIMITIVE!?" Javik yells, in complete shock.

"Please stop calling us Primitives or I'll rip your head off." Limburn growls. "As for where we get those resources, let's just say that dark matter and boring into black holes provide the energy and resources for our operations."

"I'm sorry what? Boring into a black hole? How does that work?" Liara asked, confused by this statement.

"It's a complicated topic to explain but long story short, but long story short, our scientists figured out how to extract matter using Gravitic redirection. This creates a product similar to minerals used to forge alloys and other necessary products. We also use this same process to gather dark matter for our missiles and generators." Limburn explains. "It allowed us to replace planetary mining and may phase out mining from asteroids."

"Impossible. The amount of resources needed would….never mind." Liara said, in shock.

"Besides, we also have dozens of Dyson spheres which provide the bulk of our energy needs. We still use older power plants on planets, but those are only used in reserve. Energy is also the basic currency in our galaxy." Ross piped in.

"DYSON SPHERES? HOW?" Several people yelled.

"Combination of dissecting planets, asteroid mining, and wartime loot during the age of conflict. The Federation did help out when they used their planet-killing laser cannon to blow a few non-terraformable planets for us." Ross explained where they got the minerals.

"Wait, planet-killing laser?" Grunt asked.

"Oh yes. The colossus. A moon-sized weapon meant for planetary destruction. 200 Kilometres in diameter, width, and length. We only have one, the Heart of the Swarm, built by the Federation of Free Nations. It's the largest ship in the Coalition fleet, and is 3 times bigger than the largest UNSS vessel." Limburn says casually. Then she notices many of the Normandy palings at this.

"Why...why would your people build such a thing?" whimpered Liara.

"Well one, it wasn't us, it was the Federation prior to them joining the Coalition and now we just use it on planets that can't be terraformed or be used by the Spaceborne. It's actually been 200 years since we last deployed it on a combat mission and that was to destabilize a rift in reality. Don't ask about that please." Ross said.

"Ok, what fucked up things are happening in your galaxy now?" Garrus quietly asked.

"Well, I could say the same about you people. Extreme Sythnaphobia, a series of ancient FTL stations that were not really examined, you declared a third of your galaxy under the control of pirates, magical space babes that can transfer memories at a touch, sterility plagues, hell you guys went into the center of the galaxy! No one has ever dared to do that in our galaxy! It sounds like your galaxy is just as fucked as ours." Limburn exclaimed.

Liara blushed at one of the statements. Meanwhile, everyone else realized that maybe the two Human supersoldiers were right.

"Wait, how did you know that we travelled to the center of the galaxy?" Shepard asked, curious.

"Well, we actually managed to hack into a Reaper and gained some knowledge. A lot of it was incomplete but it did reveal that a team of organics and synthetics attacked their base in the galactic center. Only took us a few hours to figure that out and realize it was you." Ross said.

"Alright, fair point junior. Seems like our galaxies are just as crazy." Ashley grumbles.

"Junior? Who are you calling Junior?" Limburn asked.

"Yes, Junior. Who else could act this immature but a youngster." Ashley said with a mocking tone,

"Excuse me, I'm fucking older than many of you combined," Ross swore at Ashley.

"Oh yeah, how old are you? 12?" Ashley sarcastically said.

"908 Earth years and 5 months," Ross said with a chuckle as he watched everyone's jaws drop.

"What? How? No Human can survive that long?" Liara asked, shocked as everyone heard those numbers.

"Both Limburn and I are a part of the Crusader Program. In Addition to making us super strong, super fast, smart, and durable, it also gave us an extended lifespan to a thousand years. We also took a number of life extension augments and nanites, which boosted our life span to 2500 years. We're actually considered pretty young compared to some of the Eldar races of our galaxy." Ross smiles as he takes another picture using his helmet camera to capture the glorious moment of shock.

That was when the Normandy shuttered a bit and was docked with the Taipei.

"SR2 Normandy, this is Taipei flight control. Gravity clamps engaged, you are clear to disembark. Thank you for choosing to fly Air Solarian Fleet Airlines and we hope you enjoy your very short trip to the colony of Chatti." the comms officer said.

"Solarian?" Garrus asked.

"The word "Solarian'' is a term used to describe anyone living in the United Nations of Solar Species. It is used to replace the names of individual species. The United Nations Space Fleet is commonly known as the Solarian Fleet." Limburn explains.

"So racism is pretty much dead in your galaxy?" Tali asked with a hint of hope.

"Yupe, now it's just replaced with nationalism. No point in bickering about species rights when the next door empire could just come knocking on our door." Ross said.

"Ok, maybe your galaxy doesn't sound too bad," Joker said sarcastically.

"Oh don't worry, Flight Lieutenant Moreau. We have killed every single space monster so you don't have to break your legs running from them." Ross smirked as Joker wheeled around in his cockpit chair in shock.

"Wait, I didn't give you my name," Joker said, confused.

"Your name was actually on the list of people we got from the Reapers. Apparently, you are the first person to actually kill a Reaper and currently the only person to kill a collector cruiser. Very impressed with your actions. The Reapers currently put you on a priority kill list." Limburn said, smirking.

"Ok, I do not know if that's just creepy or very prestigious to be put on a kill list," Joker mutters.

"SR2 Normandy, this is Taipei flight control. Decontamination is complete, you are free to disembark." someone female said over the comms.

That was when Ross turned on his Comms, "Eva, this is Ross. Good copy. How long until we can jump again?"

"About 3 minutes left. If you guys want to be on the bridge, recommend taking the teleportation systems." Eva responded.

"Wilco Eva. Thank you. Oh, and sent the Normandy's Ai the basic information on the Coalition's species."

"Who's that?" everyone asked as they disembarked from the Normandy's airlock

"That's Taipei's chief AI, EVA. A close friend of ours." That was when Javik went into another rant.

"AIS! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PRIMITIVES! CAN'T ANYONE SEE THAT THEY ARE DANGEROUS!" screamed Javik.

"I believe you would be the Primitive here, considering my people are much older than your civilization has lasted." said a voice coming from the side. The Normandy crew sees a large ape/bull-like creature.

"Blood brother Corinthium. Welcome aboard the Taipei. When did you get here?" Ross said as he did a slight bowed down with a fisted hand over his heart. Corinthium did the same.

"Blood brother Ross. Good to see you. Admiral Paradon has sent me to reinforce your task force. 2 Battlecruisers and 14 escorts. They will rendezvous with the Cruiser force he sent to Chatti." Corinthium said. "And this must be the legendary Normandy team that Intel told us about."

"Uh, how did you know about us this early? We only met with Ross like ten minutes ago." Jack asked.

"Neural Implants allow for near-instantaneous communication from far distances. I am Commodore Corinthium of the Tiyal Progenitors. We are a race that has been space-faring for over 70,000 Earth years. We had a minor collapse several thousand years ago and didn't quite recover until recently with the help of the Solarian people." Corinthian with a bow.

"Ok, anytime we're near these people, we learn something new," Shepard muttered, with Tali nodding in support.

"I understand. I'm here to take you to the bridge to observe the coming battle. You will also experience your first use of the teleportation system on this vessel. Hold onto your lunches" said Corinthian before he pressed a button on his wrist.

"Wait what-" the entire crew was interrupted when a flash of light enveloped them all, and they ended up on the bridge of the Taipei.

"Oh, spirits," Garrus said, clutching his stomach.

"Ow," grumbled Shepard.

"Kelaah," Tali groaned as she was using Shepard as support.

"You could have warned us couldn't you!" Jack yelled.

"Nope, half of my purpose in existence is to be a prick." Corinthium smiled.

"Sir, Jump coordinates received. The fleet is ready." Eva reported.

"Good copy. You may jump in when our guests pick themselves off the floor." Ross replied, looking at the now incapacitated Normandy crew.

"Great, is teleportation something your Human cousins developed? Liara grumbled.

"No, that was actually my people. The Humans/Solarians were the ones to refine it to work on individuals. And luckily for you, the JumpDrive is prone to causing people to become sick." Corinthium said.

"What is your FTL drive?" Tali asked as she and Shepard were no longer nauseous.

"We call it a Jump Drive. It's a complicated thing to talk about but I will tell you this, our first prototypes allowed us to jump nearly 10,000 lightyears. Our current models allow us to jump to other galaxies in a few short weeks or allow for a rapid series of smaller jumps. We can head to Chatti when you request, commander." Ross said, looking at the bridge crew.

The Normandy crew look at each other.

"Screw it. Take us to Chatti." Shepard grumbles.

"Eva, you heard the Commander. Jump us to the colony of Chatti." Roos ordered

"Aye, sir. Jumping in three, two, one, mark"

Chatti

Exact same time.

Admiral Tiuxium was not having a great day. First comes the Reapers, then Cerberus destroying some vessels a convoy of ships carrying valuable resources, and supposed reports of Citadel-Size ships attacking the Reapers.

Actually, that latter point helped lift his mood. Still, It didn't help due to the fact that 12 Sovereign-class Reapers and over 40 Destroyer classes bearing down on the Colony. He had 3 dreadnaughts of the Hierarchy, 1 Dreadnaught from the Alliance, 2 Alliance Carriers, 17 Cruisers, and over 35 Frigates.

He had orders to defend the Colony of Chatti, which produced valuable resources for the war effort. At first, it was easy, repulse a few Reaper Destroyers, and knock out a Cerberus Frigate. But now he had a pretty large battlegroup of Reapers approaching him, and he was seriously outgunned.

"Range to the Reapers?" Tiuxium asked.

"300,000 Km and closing fast. We're gonna abort, we need to do it now." Reported the sensor officer.

"Never. We will not be running from the Reapers anymore. All hands to battlestations." the admiral orders.

When the alarms began ringing, the sensor officer chimes in. "Admiral? We're detecting some weird energy signature near the Reapers. I can't tell what it is."

"Is it coming from the Reapers?" Tiuxium asks.

"No its-" that was when the UNS Taipei jumped right into the Reaper's formation and slammed into several Reapers itself.

"WHAT IN THE SPIRITS? 40 KILOMETRE DREADNUAGHT IS IN THE REAPER FORMATION!" yelled the sensor officer.

"What?" balked many of the crew.

The 40 KM warship slammed into several of the Reapers, apparently not giving a fuck as several squids were turned into paste when they collided with the shields of the warship.

"Spirits! Uh, the warship is 40 kilometres long, 5 kilometres wide, 2 kilometres tall. It's outputting more energy than every pre-war military fleet and Citadel combined!" the sensor office yelled.

"Ancestors protect us. Is it transmitting any IFFs or anything?!" Tiuxium yelled.

"Uh wait one." That was when on the screen, a series of texts showed up.

UNS Taipei, Broadside Class SuperTitan.

Affiliation: The United Nations of Solar Species, 10th Fleet.

"Taipei? Is that the name of a Human city?" a Turian asked before anyone could make a noise.

That was when the remaining 7 Reapers turned around and fired their liquid metal energy weapons at the Titan. It harmlessly impacted against the shields of the SuperTitan.

"Spirits. What kind of species would jump directly into a Reaper fleet?" whimpered a Turian ensign.

"Better question, what necessitates the need to build a citadel size warship?" another Turian asked.

That was when 7 Gauss turrets swivelled towards the Reapers. A sharp bark and 7 200-ton titanium shells slammed into the Reapers at a quarter the speed of light. The Reapers simply disappeared.

"Ancestor. The secondary weapons on that thing. There are thousands of them." whispered an engineer.

"Doesn't protocol dictate that all new first contacts are hostile?" Asked a Turian ensign.

"Are you insane? Aside from the fact that it literally just wiped out a battlegroup of Reapers, I don't think anything in our arsenal would scratch that thing." Argued a Human Liaison onboard the bridge.

"Wait, I'm getting a friendly IFF. It's the Normandy, they're on board!" cried the sensor operator.

"Good good. Why is it that whenever something weird goes on, it's the Normandy's fault." yelled one of the ship captains.

"Hey! Would you rather have an ominous-looking superdreadnought killing the Reapers for us and maybe be allied with the Normandy or do you want to be dead?" one of the Humans captains replied.

"Fair point." Grumbled the Turian ship Captain.

"We're receiving a hail from the….the UNS Taipei? And the Normandy crew is with them?" a communications officer questioned.

"Put them through," Tiuxium ordered.

That was when Commander Shepard and a few of his crew members appeared on the screen.

"Commander Fucking Shepard. What strays did you bring this time because I swore I remember you recruit mercs and Criminals and rally them to impossible causes. Not pull a Citadel-sized warship out of whatever hole you pull them." Tiuxium said with a chuckle.

"Believe me, sir, it wasn't I who sought them out, they came to us," Shepard replied.

"Yes, so what kind of species would be crazy enough to build a Citadel size warship and slam it into the Reapers?" Tiuxium's XO asked, causing Tiuxium to glare at them.

"Uh, not sure how to explain this but, we have extragalactic cousins that found out about the Reapers 2 decades ago and came to this galaxy to fight them. And apparently, they're bringing a large fleet to help us." Shepard said sheepishly.

"ADMIRAL! We're picking up 16 more of those energy signatures!" interrupted a sensor officer.

That was when 2 35 kilometre wide battlecruisers and 4 kilometre wide ancient escorts jumped into the system next to the Taipei. At that moment, the Taipei launched its cruiser escort.

"Ancestors save us from the growing fleet of super dreadnaughts," whispered a Turian bridge crew member.

'WHY DOES YOUR SHIP CARRY SUPER DREADNOUGHTS!? WHERE DO YOU KEEP GETTING THESE TITANS? WHO ELSE IS CRAZY ENOUGH TO DO THAT?!" someone yelled.

"That would be us." that was when a very large Human appeared next to Shepard. "I am Field Marshal Victor Ross of the United Nations of Solar Species. Before you ask, my people are in no way related to the Human Systems Alliance of your galaxy aside from species."

Tiuxium stared at Shepard. "Please tell me that you Humans don't have cousins in another galaxy."

"Sorry sir, it seems that we do." Shepard awkwardly said.

Tiuxium groaned. This was going to be one weird report.

2 days later

The Citadel

"THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! THERE CANNOT BE TWO DIFFERENT HUMANITIES," yelled Tevos.

Both Spartacus and Hackett (who was in the meeting via hologram) were very tempted to push Tevos into a heart attack but refrained from doing so.

"I really don't see much of a problem. They killed over 350 Reapers and saved a colony. They would definitely make great allies." Spartacus chuckles.

"I'm more interested in their reasoning to be here in our galaxy. Apparently, an ancient race called the Irassians either took DNA from either our galaxy or there's and seeded it with life. However, the only species to be fully replicated is Humanity. They have the same planet, same star system, and nearly the same history. It only diverges in the 2020s. That and no Eezo." Valern said, looking over the reports.

"Indeed. Still, according to Shepard, the person in command of the expedition, Field Marshal Victor Ross of the United Nations of Solar Species, has pledged their tenth fleet to the fight, along with several fleet units from the Tiyal Progenitors. He's promised more but most of the force coming here is taking a rest after some long travels." Hackett reported.

"Spirits. These Human cousins of yours. According to Shepard, they wiped out a large force in the Pax system, then proceeded to wipe out the force attacking the colony of Chatti. On top of that, those large vessels they call Titans can launcher Super Dreadnoughts." Spartacus said with awe in his voice.

"WHAT KIND OF SITUATION NECESSITATES THE NEED FOR THIS KIND OF MILITARIZATION!?" Tevos yelled. The Asari's plan of letting the other species take the brunt of the fighting was soon to fall apart.

"I'm not complaining. At the very least, they aren't shooting at us. They said they'll send some delegates to the Citadel for proper first contact." Valern said.

That was when the Council received a message from the CDF. "Councilors? We're picking up some odd energy signatures. It's coming from the-"

Outside the Citadel, the pride of the UNSS, the UNS Light of Sol Juggernaut, jumped right in front of the space station, 60 kilometres wide, 12 kilometres long, 6 kilometres tall, and carrying a large number of dreadnought sized weapons. Everyone on the Citadel or in the CDF turned and stared in awe as the lumbering warship slowed in front of them. Then they noticed the hundreds of vessels that came along. Some had a similar paint job as to the Juggernaut, however, most were of varying design. Some looked very utilitarian and looked very ugly. Others had an aquatic-like design and were smooth-looking. One design that caught many people's eyes was the star-shaped vessels that seemed to be the second-largest and were the most technologically ahead ships.

Everyone stood in shock and awe as the very menacing-looking fleet came to a standstill.

Spartacus then spoke up. "I guess this is the delegation fleet they were talking about."

Tevos whimpered and groaned. If it weren't for the Reaper war, she would have chugged an entire bottle of Thessian Brandy. She'll have to make do with simple tea.

Juggernauts:

Considered to be the second-largest ship in the Coalition's military and the largest ship class in the United Nations of Solar Species's arsenal, the Juggernaut is the shiny symbol of Solarian Power. Despite being armed with several Titan-based weapons (Giga Cannons, Particle Beams, Predition Beams, and Arc Emitters) the primary goal of the Juggernaut is as a mobile staging ground, a resupply post, shipyards for repairs, modernization, and reinforcement, and as a command center. It is surprisingly self-sufficient, thanks to the synthesizers and hydroponics bay it carries. It only needs a constant supply of power (which comes from the first dark matter reactors built by the Solarian people) and a supply of minerals and alloys (which comes from supply lines from Solarian space or harvested from asteroid fields). All Juggernauts are built by the Wua shipyards and are of the Arkats class (jointly created by the former Pact and Commonwealth).

Known Juggernauts in Coalition service;

UNS Light of Sol (deployed in Operation Sunshine under the Darkness)

UNS Arkats (deployed under the 3rd fleet at home)

UNS Wua (deployed to defend UNSS space).

UNS Mars (under construction)

COMS Defiant to the End (Deployed by the Commonwealth for the defence of Unity).

COMS Deneb (Deployed to Operation Sunshine under the Darkness)

COMS Lewis Clark (under construction)

VSS Darpana (deployed at the Vissari homeworld of Viss)

VSS Hope (deployed for frontier patrol)

9 others deployed by other nations or under construction.
