A/N: As you all know, I forgot to finish day 9 and do day 10. I finished 9 as best as I could so if you haven't read it yet, go do that. At that time, it was almost 10 PM so it was kind of late where I am. I was going to start it but I couldn't finish it in time.
Anyway, I hope this makes up for it. A Christmas Without You is now posted. Link in my profile if you want to go check it out.
These next two chapters will not talk about day 10. Once again, I'm sorry for not writing day ten. I had to push all the chapters back because I needed to add another day. Long story short, I thought I turned day nine into day ten but then it stayed day nine but my brain thought it was day ten.
Anyway, here's Christmas eve and part of Christmas.
It's christmas eve. Less than 12 hours till Christmas. I was on my way to make Marinette's cake. "Good morning Chat. Here to make the cake?" Sabine asked as I entered the bakery.
"Yes I am." I replied.
"Follow me." I followed Sabine to their personal kitchen. We started to make the cake. I made the frosting and cut up the fruit while Sabine made the chocolate hearts. While we waited for the cake to bake, Sabine and I talked over some hot chocolate. "So, what are you planning to do for New Year's?" Sabine asked.
"Well, ladybug and I go on patrols on Tuesdays and Thursdays. New Year's is on a Thursday so I'm on patrol." I did an unenthusiastic yay.
"maybe you can spend New Year's with Marinette. I'm sure but will understand. You can handle control while you're with Marinette." Sabine suggested.
If only she knew, if only she knew. I thought to myself. The oven dinged symbolizing the cake was done. It was time to decorate. We covered the cake in buttercream frosting and put the fruits in a specific design to kinda look like a flower. The chocolate hearts stuck out of the side and it looked perfect for Marinette. "What time will Marinette be home? I have Patrol today and I understand if you guys do something on Christmas Eve." I asked as I was getting ready to leave.
"We normally give out some pastries to some friends. You don't have off on Christmas Eve?" Sabine asked.
"Our patrol is short today but we still have one. I know, I'll give her the cake when she is home and surprise her by coming here after Patrol." I said.
"She has been upstairs in her room the entire time. You can go up there right now if you want."
I smiled. "Thank you Sabine." I walked over to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for all your help."
Sabine stopped me before I left the bakery. " just make sure she's happy."
I smiled. "promise." I carefully made my way up to Marinette's room from the outside so they don't want to drop the cake. I landed on her balcony and knocked on the door. Marinette popped through the trap door.
"Oh, hey Chat." Marinette said.
"Hey princess. Merry Christmas eve." Marinette smiled. "Can I come in?" Marinette looked uncertainly into her room.
"Uh...can we stay on the balcony?"
"Sure." I helped Marinette out of her room and onto the balcony. "Brought you something." I held up the box that the cake was in.
Marinette's face lit up. "What is it today?" She asked. I opened the box and inside sat the two layered chocolate cake with green fondant covering the cake. The red fondant makes a bow to make the cake look like a present.
"An entire cake, that's a step up from what you were doing." We walked over to the table and started to dig in. "Mmm, this is great." Marinette took another bite.
"You think this is good, wait till tomorrow." After an hour, I went back home. Nathlie and I started to decorate our christmas tree. His father hasn't come out of his office for three days. It was my first Christmas without my mother but all I could think of was spending Chridtmas with Marinette. "The tree looks great." I looked over at the office door and frowned.
"He'll be out soon." Nathlie said, putting another ornament on the tree. I looked at the ornament and placed it on the tree.
"What's the point, he's not coming." I went up to my room. I closed the door and leaned up against it. "Ready?" I smiled.
"I need my cheese first." Plagg flew up from in my jacket.
"Eat up." After a few minutes, I transformed. I went out and did a little patrol. I waited for Ladybug but she never showed up. I decided to go on patrol by myself. I then went over to Marinette's house. I wondered why she didn't show up but I guess that she was spending time with her family. I knocked on the trap door like I did earlier. She opened it.
"Chat?" She said, a little confused why I was back.
"Hello princess. I wanted to spend the first few minutes of Christmas with you. Can I come in?" Marinette looked back into her room.
"Can I just clean up first?"
"If you must." She went into her room. She must have been working on last minute gifts. Very last minute.
"Come in!" She called up. I climbed into her room. She was closing a trunk that seemed to be full of presents.
"Busy I see." I walked over to the couch and sat down.
"Yeah, last minute wrapping. I'm glad you came though. I forgot to give you your gift." Marinette grabbed a Something wrapped in pink with white spotted wrapping paper with a yellow bow. "Here you go." I opened the gift I didn't side with a Santa hat with little white snowflakes on it.
" I love it thank you." I put the hat on. It sat right in between my cat ears. Marinette and I hung out for a few hours. It was 1 am and an hour into Christmas. That's when she got the phone call.
Marinette's phone rang in the middle of our Fuller House binge watching. "Hello...Merry Christmas…" Marinette gasped. "Oh my god…" I sat up from the couch, ready for anything. "No, he's not with me…" I think I know what this is about. "Did you try Nino?...Ok, I will. Merry Christmas." Marinette hung up the phone and hung her head.
"What is it?" I asked. Marinette looked up at me.
"Adrien, he's, he's missing." Tears formed in Marinette's eyes. She started to cry. She stumbled into my arms. "You have to find him. You have to." She whimpered.
"It's ok." I tried to comfort her. I rubbed my hand through her hair.
"He's my best friend, you need to find." Marinette kept on crying.
"Shh...well, find him." I didn't get an answer, only more tears. I put my hands on her shoulders and pulled her away. "Look at me." Marinette complied. "We are going to find him, ok?"
Marinette nodded. "Ok."
A/N: I ended it here because it is an hour into Christmas so it is not Christmas Eve anymore.
