"I picked up the post" Emma yelled before dropping said post next to her Dad's seat, demorphing and sitting down next to Taylor in the Barnes kitchen.
They had set up a post box at the post office to handle all Power Ranger related stuff as none of them wanted to risk anything being traced back to the house by using e-mails. Every few days Taylor or Emma would Morph and go pick it up then drop off any replies or new letters that needed to go out a bit slow but it was the best they could come up with.
"thanks saved me a trip to the post office"
"no problem"
Yawning Alan walked in and grabbed a cup of coffee before sitting and picking up the letters.
"ok this should help you, Taylor," he said after looking through them and holding up an official-looking letter.
"oh, how so Uncle Alan?"
"you now have Official permission from the Mayor to do as you please with any wrecks you recover from the bottom of the bay, turns out any ships that have sunk is either covered under Marine salvage laws, or an insurance write off, the only limit is if you find any bodies they need to be turned over to the police"
Taylor nodded while swallowing some of her breakfast.
"makes sense and all that scrap will help with building the other Zords, the machines I have set up can sort the metal melt it down and build everything I need even turn out electric cables, different computer parts, electric motors and Solar panels as long as I have the right metal"
"huh cool" Emma replied
"yeah it's just very slow I can't program anything to assemble the actual Zords I have to do all that by myself"
Alan let out a low whistle "I can see why it took so long to built your two now"
"Yeah the only bit I can automate so far is fitting the outer panels and painting"
"ok if you need help just ask even if all we can do is pass you things or help with heavy lifting"
Taylor nodded "Will do and I have the Mastodon mostly built now just a lot more wiring to do, fit the solar panels then I can let the machines finish it off then just need to check everything works, so any other news?"
"We have quotes from a few agencies for both taking pictures and producing posters you can sell I'll sort them all out and we can go over them together"
both girls just nodded before Taylor looked at the clock "we get a move on or we're going to be later for school see you later Uncle Alan" grabbing their bags Emma gave her dad a quick hug before taking her bag from Taylor
"have fun at school girls" Alan yelled as Emma went out the door.

getting off the bus at the school Emma pulled a face before looking at Taylor.
"I can't believe you turned down a place at Arcadia to come to Winslow with me"
"it's not that bad"
Emma just raised an eyebrow at her
"Just last week we had to stop some Empire wannabe from hurting Kitty just because she is Jewish and don't even get me started on the one who assaulted Kate just cause he saw her hugging Sophie"
"it could be worse" Taylor offered with a sheepish expression as a girl with brown hair in a high ponytail with a blue t-shirt, dark jeans and a pink cardigan on bounced over to them.
"Hey Emma, Taylor like how are you both"
"Hey, Kitty you ok any more trouble?" Taylor asked while pulling Kitty in for a hug.
"nope since you kicked that Eric kid between the legs and the police took him away the Empire kids seem to be keeping quiet at least for now"
Emma snorted "doubt that will last long bloody idiots"
"they support Nazis and seem to forget they lost the war I think idiots is an understatement" Kitty pointed out while rolling her eyes.
"true but at least the ABB kids seem to realise starting anything overt at school just makes them look stupid"
someone else snorted behind them turning they saw a girl with shoulder-length dark hair and several tattoos on her neck and arms
"trust me the Empire kids are being quite out of fear not intelligence"
"what do you mean Kate?"
"you know how my dads a detective right?"
the other three nodded
"that Eric kid getting arrested, plus the idiot who punched me last week when he saw me and Sophie hugging means the police are paying more attention to the Empire in general and tarnished the image they try to maintain of being better than the ABB"
"Huh makes sense" Kitty replied while nodding "hard to look better when two of your members gets arrested for trying to assault a teenage girl while the ABB mostly keep a low profile at school"
"yep anyway I'll see you girls later in Biology, we still doing that sleepover next week Taylor?"
"yeah if anything changes I'll let you know and don't forget to ask Sophie"
Kate just waved over her shoulder as she headed into school.

"you sure about this?" Emma asked as Taylor dropped the bag with the other four Morphers in by the sofa in the living room.
"nope but I have no idea how to recruit other people at least this way we can see if Kitty, Kate or Sophie react to a Morpher"
"uh fine let's just hope even if only one of the reacts the others can keep quiet about it"
they were interrupted by the doorbell
"too late now" Taylor muttered as Emma opened the door and was grabbed into a hug by Kitty.
"This is like going to be so much fun" Kitty giggled while bouncing in place, "oh mum asked me to give their number to your Dad Emma where is he?"
"trying not to fall down the stairs at the moment" Alan Barnes called out as Taylor and Emma ran up the stairs and took the two sleeping bags off him.
"Dad!" Emma yelled "we told you we would get them down in a minute"
"and I decided to grab them when I saw Kitty's mum drop her off" Alan replied while taking the number from Kitty.
Before anyone could respond they heard the door again so Emma answered it again letting Kate and Sophie in while Kate was grumbling under her breath Taylor raised an eyebrow at Sophie.
"her dad dropped us off in a Police cruiser" the other three snorted while Kate gave Sophie a dirty look.
"I'll be in my office if you need me Taylor I left some money and some menus on the Kitchen table so you girls can order some food"
"Thanks, Dad, Uncle Alan, Mr Barnes" the five girls replied in unison before giggling.
…
"damn that was good pizza" Kitty commented while patting her stomach
"yeah it was great" Kate replied before wrapping her arm around Sophie as the other girl snuggled into her.
"so what shall we do now watch a DVD?" Taylor asked while holding up the DVD remote
"I'd like to know what's in that bag if you don't mind Taylor it's been making the back of my brain itch all night" Kitty replied
"huh, I thought it was just me babe you feel anything?," Kate asked while looking at Sophie with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm not feeling anything but now I'm curious"
Taylor shot Emma a smug look before grabbing the bag
"well, there is something we need to tell you we are,"
"Dragonzord"
"The Power Rangers" Emma finished before glaring at Taylor as she pulled her helmet off.
"what seeing is believing" Taylor replied while grinning
"oh my god!" kitty yelled before tackling Taylor into a hug.
And babbling a mile a minute
"wait" Sophie interrupted, "you said we that means"
"Triceratops" pulling her helmet off Emma nodded "yeah I'm the Blue Ranger"
"ok so why do mine and Kitty's brain itch?"
Taylor just tipped the other four Morphers out on the carpet
"wait you mean?"
"yes Kitty you and Kate are Power Rangers too, see I'm a Tinker I made these Morphers and the Zords but I have no control over who can use them, that itch is you reacting to a Morpher just grab whichever is calling to you and try it"
leaning forward Kitty grabbed a Morpher "Sabretooth Tiger" the others took a moment to stare at kitty in a Yellow version of Emma's suite with a snarling tiger theme on her helmet.
"This is so cool" Kitty bounced while removing her helmet.
Shrugging Kate grabbed a Morpher as well "Mastodon"
Kate took a moment to flex in her suit before pulling off her own Mastodon themed helmet.
"Okay I'll admit that is cool" Sophie replied while looking at the other two Morphers "so what happens if someone else tries to use them?"
"nothing I made them and even I can't use them all, Emma tried the Masterdom when I first made it and nothing"
"so like when do we get our Zords"
"yeah sorry Kitty that will be a while" Taylor paused thinking Taylor quickly teleported out then reappeared and handed Kitty and Kate watches "Communicators and allows you to teleport just think about the Zords and press the button"
Kate and Kitty grinned before vanishing in a streak of black and yellow light
"I'll go keep an eye on them" Emma announced before she teleported out as well.
Walking over to Sophie Taylor hugged her "you ok?"
Sophie just took a few deep breathes "yeah just a lot to take in you know"
"trust me you should see in my head I have designs for more stuff, upgrades to our coins and more Zords I get being overwhelmed by it, so want to go see the Zords up close?"
"hell yes," Sophie yelled laughing Taylor teleported them to her Zord bay when they reappeared Sophie looked around she saw they were in a large space that was surrounded by what seemed an endless expanse of stars over to one side was a whole bunch of machines churning out different parts.
"whoa, where are we?"
"best guess when I first used the teleported I created a pocket dimension where I promptly set about building all this took me a year just build my Dragonzord Emma's Triceratops took me about five months now I have more raw material it's much quicker."
looking around Sophie paused as she saw Kate climbing over a partly built Zord while Emma and Kitty watched
"is that?"
"yeah once it's finished it'll be Kate's Mastodon Zord guess I'll have to do Kitty's Sabre-toothed tiger Zord next"
Turning round to face Taylor Sophie looked her dead in the eye with a determined look on her face.
"what can I do to help"
Taylor grinned "how'd you feel about helping me to put Zords together"

just to clear up Kitty is Kitty Pryde from X-Men Evolution while Kate and Sophie are Kate Kane and Sophie More from Batwoman, I have no intention of bringing in any more of the X-Men and defiantly not Beth Kane/ Alice from Batwoman and am simply using their names and looks.
But I will admit I did toy with Kitty being an independent Hero called Shadow cat :D
