A/N: I'm not going to say anything about my absence.

I was stuck in my room playing video games the entire day. Well, almost. There was a spider in my room and my bodyguard is absolutely terrified of spiders. He pointed outside as if saying that he was going to stay outside my room. I took this as an opportunity to go and spend a few hours with Marinette. "You ready Plagg?"

"Just save me some cake." Plagg groaned.

"Claws out!" I transformed into Chat Noir and grabbed the picnic blanket in my closet. I jumped out my window and hurried to the bakery.

"Hello Chat. I got the cake ready." Sabine grabbed a box and handed it to me.

"Thank you." I said, taking the box out of her hands.

"No problem." I ran out of the bakery and went to Notre Dame. I laid the blanket down on the roof of one of the towers. I saw Marinette doing something in her window. It looked like she was doing finishing touches to a shirt or sweater. I landed on her balcony and knocked.

"Chat. There you are. Where did you go? I found Adrien but you were gone?" Marinette said as she opened the door. She was talking about what happened last night.

"I uh, I thought I saw him and went to take a closer look but saw that it wasn't. By the time I got back you were gone. I thought you left so I went looking for you. After a few minutes, I went home and thought I would see you in a couple hours and here you are." Probably not one of my best excuses but it was all I got.

"Ok. It's probably good that you might have lied to protect your identity." Marinette said. "You can say you can't tell me. I'll understand."

I smiled. "I wish I could tell you the truth."

"It's ok. I get it. It's for my own good."

"I hate this. I want to tell you. One day I will. I promise."

"It's ok, really. I just don't want to live like this forever." Was this the end? Was she breaking up? "I don't like secrets. I just hope that-that you can tell me one day." A flood of relief washed over me.

"Well, let's stop thinking about that right now. I have a surprise." I put my hand out for her to take. She gladly took it. I pulled her up and looked into my arms. "You ready?" Marinette nodded. I picked her up. "Close your eyes and hold on tight." She wrapped her arms around my neck. I jumped over to Notre Dame and put her down. "Open them." She opened her eyes. She looked around.

"Are we at Notre Dame?" She asked in surprise.

"Yes." She looked down at the cake and cupped her hands around her mouth.

"Oh my god." She said in a muffled voice.

"You like it?"

"Chat, how did you know? This my favorite." I smiled.

"That's not all." She looked up at me, putting her hands down with her mouth slightly open. I reached into my pocket and grabbed a small box. I went down on my knees and opened the box. Inside was a silver locket with a floral design.

Marinette cupped her hands around her mouth again. "Oh my god." She put one hand on her chest as the other covered her mouth. "I love it." She puts both hands down. "Wasn't the Mockingjay necklace enough?"

"Nothing is too much for you Princess."

"I already have my mockingjay necklace on but, oh my god. How did I get this lucky?"

"I ask myself that question everyday since we got together." Marinette came over to me and kissed me. We sat there for a few seconds. We slowly pulled away and put our foreheads together. "I love you."

"I love you too." Marinette moved her eyes to the cake and grabbed a fork.

"Shall we eat?" I grabbed another fork.

"We shall." We started to eat the cake. I had to be mindful of the time so then I don't get reported missing, again.

We ate the cake and talked for a few minutes. "So, you probably won't see for a while."

"Why not?"

"Just for a few days. I don't want to raise any suspicion since I've been to your house everyday for almost 2 weeks." I explained, taking another bite.

"Fine. I'm going to miss you though." Marinette whined.

"No whining. If you keep whining then I won't come for New Years."

"Fine, but I won't like it."

"I'm not asking you too." I brought Marinette home and did one goodbye kiss before I went to my house.

I landed in my room and released my transportation. I heard my handle to my door turn. I jumped onto my couch and turned on the tv. My video game was still running so I grabbed my remote and acted like I was playing it. My bodyguard came in to see if I was still here. I heard the door close and I turned off my tv.

"Kid, New years eve is on a Thursday." Plagg said, emerging from the couch.

"Yeah, so?" I layed down on my back and stared at my tall ceiling.

"You have patrol." I quickly sat up.

"Oh shit." I totally forgot about patrol.

"You can always skip." Plagg suggested.

"No because Marinette would be waiting for me." I sat there and thought for a moment. "I could just tell her that I want to be with Marinette."

"Sounds like a plan. Just give me extra camembert before you go." I laughed.

"You can have all the camembert in the world."

"Really?"

"No."
