The next day Clare was up and dressed and she was at her locker as Degrassi as she took out her phone to send Eli a text "Good luck at your interview at the dot today you got this :)" she hits send sliding her phone back in her school bag when she hears footsteps rushing up.
"Hey Clarebear" Jenna exclaims standing next to Alli since they also lived together.
"Morning girls" Clare beams facing them.
"How are you this morning?" Alli asks with a bright smile.
"Good well a little nauseous but I'll be fine" Clare tells her best friends.
"Good well Jenna and I were talking last night. We want to throw you a baby shower."
"You don't have to-" Clare was about to protest but was cut by the curly haired blonde.
"We insist and think of it as a going away gathering since we'll all be apart soon" Jenna clasps her hands.
"Only if you are up to it we haven't planned anything yet" Alli cheerfully smiles.
"I will think about it thank you for giving me the heads up" Clare looks at them with her blue eyes. It was still early in her pregnancy.
The bell finally rang as the three girls headed to their class which they shared.
Around an hour later Eli woke up he checked his phone and saw he got a text from Clare he replied back but knew she'll be in class so he didn't need to worry if she didn't reply back right away. He got out of bed and walked to his bathroom to shower.
After Eli had showered, dressed and brushed his teeth he was hungry also he had to take his meds for his bipolar which he had taking good control off but he wanted to be extra careful considering he gotten back with Clare and they now having a baby together and he doesn't want to screw this up and lose her again.
After breakfast Eli waves bye to his parents heading out the door since he had an interview at the dot soon. He eventually made his way to the dot he was a few minutes early so he quickly ordered a coffee.
Soon after it was time for Eli's interview so he made his way to the counter to let him know he was here so he saw the barista "Hey sorry I have an interview with Gavin Mason" he explained.
"I'll let him know please take a seat" the man who was around Eli's age tells him. Eli went to take a seat at one of the tables.
A few minutes later Spinner appeared from the back "Elijah Goldsworthy?" He calls out.
Eli stood up "That's me" he put out his hands in which Spinner shook as the two men sat down in the chairs.
"So Elijah, tell me why you want this job?" Spinner being professional.
"I need the money Truthfully since New York is very expensive. Also my girlfriend is pregnant so I really want to support her and our baby," Eli explained.
Spinner writes some things down as he looks at the younger man. He had no idea he was talking to Darcy's baby sister's boyfriend. "Okay, what's your availability for the summer?"
"I'm available and I promise to work hard," Eli tells Spinner.
"Then congratulations you got the job" Spinner shakes Eli's hand.
"Thank you" Eli says as he stands up and walks out the dot.
Around the same time Clare was walking out of Civics class the last class of the day when she spotted Jenna she needed advice and remembers Jenna was also pregnant in grade ten but thankfully both of them made up and KC was long behind them and their bond was strong just like it was in grade nine. "Jenna! Hey, can we talk?" Clare walks over to the blonde girl.
"Yeah sure Clarebear" she beams as the two teens walk over to take a seat in front of JT's memorial garden.
"I wanted to ask you advice on pregnancy and I know this probably hard considering you gave Ty up but-"
Jenna takes one of Clare's hands "It's okay Clare yes sometimes it's hard sometimes but you know I'm still here."
"Thank you Jenna" Clare smiles, pulling in for a hug.
"What are friends for?" Jenna hugs back as the girls pull apart so they can talk. "So what you need to know" Jenna grins brightly.
"I'm worried about where Eli and I 's futures will lead? New York is expensive. I want to give our baby the best" Clare tells Jenna.
"Future is unclear but I do know you and Eli and you both have been through so much and I know whatever happens you and Eli will make it through" The blonde looks at Clare.
Clare noded "You have a point we really have and thanks again."
"Of course I know I did the right thing by giving Tyson the best life but I still love him" Jenna softly smiles.
"I'm so sorry for what happened in the past" Clare was genuine.
"It's fine and I'm sorry too, but KC was never the one," Jenna chuckles.
"Same here, now we have Eli and Connor," Clare giggles.
"Better guys for us for sure" Jenna laughs as she gets up with Clare grabbing their bags and linking arms heading out of Degrassi where Eli was waiting. "Looks like your Prince charming is here Clare" Jenna nudges Clare.
Clare noticed Eli smiling "I'll see you tomorrow and have fun with yours."
"I will now go enjoy" Jenna waves bye heading to find Alli.
Clare made her way over to Eli "Hi handsome" she pressed a soft kiss on his lips.
Eli kisses back "Hey beautiful" he smirks looking at her "Guess who got a job" he takes one of Clare's hands.
Clare smiles wide "You got the job congratulations! I knew you would. So when do you start?"
"Tomorrow" Eli replied walking hands and hands with Clare down the Pavements out of Degrassi.
Once they made it to Clare's house her mum made dinner so Eli stayed having dinner with them.
After dinner Eli helped Clare clean up when the door went. "Oh Clare, could you get the door?" Helen calls out.
"Okay mum" Clare gives Eli a kiss on the cheek "I'll be one second" she walks to the front door opening up and gasps "Darcy!"
"Surprise!" Darcy smiles wide at her not so baby anymore sister.
