Narrator pow:

"Mhm, this looks like a good place." Julio smiled as he and Mako took seats somewhere around the middle of a Town square, place filled with shops, bystanders, bypassers and most importantly people ready for about anything bakugan-related and then some.

"You're always having a day in here?" Mako asked him, more unamused rather than suprised by the fact the place currently had a day instead of the night such as Japan at the moment she left it.

"Yup! A good old ten AM sunlight. If you want to sleep then the rent apartment have curtains." Julio responded, pointing up left onto one of the high apartament building.

"Mhm, that's good." Mako smiled, blinking afterwards as if she saw something in the distance. "It's just a shame I have no money for a rent, you know?"

"I know! And that's why I have a proposition for you." Julio smiled, reaching into his pocket and took out a small stack of banknotes. "I give you this so you can afford for two months of renting a place to live and in return you join me on bakugan tournaments from time to time and keep yourself afloat with finances. What do you think?"

"All men give some, some man give more than some." Soldier said, taking the while to discuss the matter with his partner. "But a man giving as many as him will not happen again let's agree on it."

"Migjt aswell, but..." Mako responded, pausing to get her stirned emotions together. "Mind if I learn about bakugans first before we play together? I don't wanta be a chain to your leg." She added, sending Julio a rather pleading glare.

"Sure thing, but first take the money, accomodate yourself in whenever you manage, eat something and let me know when you're ready." Julio responded happly, leaving a piece of notebook paper with his phone number before standing up from the table and leaving.

"Well that went Pershing fast!" Soldier commented, causing Mako's to feel like her stomach rised up.

"Could you not mention tanks to me, please?" Mako asked, sighing angrily as she grabbed both money and the phone number.

"Still having feelings hit by this sack of garbage?" Soldier asked her, hopping onto her shoulder as she also left the table and headed towards what seemed to be a residential area.

"Yes, the thing I did there isn't something that can be excused." Mako responded sadly, looking lifelessly into what looked like the sky.

"Fair enough, just remember that friends who left you m time of need aren't worth even a fraction of what forced ones are." The bakugan said, giving her a supportive pat to the neck.

Mako pow:

"How long did it took, Soldier?" I asked, sighing with relief as I was done with arrangments inside my new living place, small apartment on the second floor with bedroom, kitchen that also acted as dining room and the bathroom. Not as big as Grandma's house but more than enough for one person.

"twelve hour, ten on sleep, one on buying food and new clothes plus one for everything else." Soldier responded, jumping from the desk and swiftly landing on my shoulder.

"Mhm, thanks for telling me." I said, taking my phone and calling the number given to me earlier.

"No problem, that's my duty as a Soldier!"

"Oh, Mako! Thought I won't hear from you today!" Suprised voice of Julio greeted me from the other side.

"Sorry, getting myself together took some time." I responded, excusing myself. "Also, what do you mean by today?"

"We use a normal time and date system from Earth for easier scheduling, that's why I say today." Julio explained, Propably trying to make me feel better. "Now come meet me at the entreance to the Arena 38, that's next to the plaza where we had our previous talk." He added, giving me the coordinated.

"Sure, I'll be there in a quarter." I responded hastly, ending the call before grabbing thr keys and walking outside of the apartment.

"Okay, now I am suspicious too." Soldier said as I locked the doors behind myself.

"I know, right? He really tries to befriend me..." I responded with increasing angst as I slowly walked downstairs.

"And you just don't want him to do so because you feel bad after what you did to the previous ones?" Soldier asked me again, causing me to stop in my tracks at once. "I mean, if fighting is sure to result in victory then you must fight!"

"And if I'm not?" I asked him, not motivated by him in the slightest.

"Then you can at least try." He responded, leaping forward to open the exit door for me with his weight.

"Tha-?" I paused mid-sentence, seeing that someone called me on the phone. "Oh..." I said to myself, seeing that the calling person was Saori.

"They are propably looking for you, you know?" Soldier said to me as we came outside of the building and continued to walk towards the meeting place.

"I know, so I'll tell them to not." I responded, answering the call and putting the phone closer to me. "Hi Saori." I said, begunning the sudden conversation.

"Mako! Where have you been?" Loud and obnoxious voice of Saori came back, almost making me trip over. "Your Grandma and the others haven't heard from you since you left! Where are you?" She asked, making me feel downright bad.

"I've... Been better, now I need to rethink my life so I won't come back soon, assuming you even let me onto the ship in the first place." I responded, already set on not having her call me again.

"US not letting YOU in!?" Saori exclaimed, making me narrow my eyes out of annoyance.

"Sodoko. Does it explain or you didn't heard?" I responded, snapping at her so hard that she didn't responded. "I might be moody, sleepy and a class-cutter, but I am not stupid. And just so you know, highschools that kicked their students don't tend to let them back in, so don't you even try to bring me back or Public Morals Committee will show you and everyone you bring with yourself only the camera footage if you get lucky." I continued, letting out all of my convoluted emotions on her. "I know you're still my friend and I'm grateful for that. But now I need to find new friends, and sorry, you're not helping."

"A... Oh, ok. I won't bother you anymore, good luck." Saori responded with shakened voice before ending the call.

"That was harsh..." Soldier said to me as I put the phone back into the pocket of my second-hand leggins. "I loved it!"

"Thanks, I don't need her to complicate the things." I added, sighing afterwards as we entered the plaza and spotted Julio on the other side talking to some people in front of what looked like a glass dome with concrete walls.

"Roger that! Now let's go kick some ass!" Soldier responded, throwing his typical movitation speech as we speeded up and rushed towards Julio for the arranged meeting.
