Chapter 7
Naruto's Decision

Land of Water
Kaguya Clan Compound

Naruto found himself facing a huge fire pit once he got through the hole in the wall, there was cooking meat everywhere along with bottles of sake, wind and other more exotic drinks he had never seen before.

The most distressing thing however where the empty cages there must have been at least 100 of them scattered about throughout the courtyard, they were made of metal and wood and each and every one of them was empty and had dried blood on the inside.

There was also the main building which was a huge whitewashed tower the obvious place for valuables and high-ranked members of the Clan, the other buildings were far more modest being made of wood and stone.

Naruto couldn't sense anyone close but he could see agitated sentries on the walls and there were a few more Chakra signatures in the area, he couldn't see Byakuya anywhere so the place was larger than he originally thought.

'I really hope they don't eat people.' Naruto thought.

He snatched some meat from a nearby fire and took a bite out of it while mentally following the map he memorised earlier.

'If that map was accurate then this secure room should be in the main building at the top near the only bedroom on the highest floor.' He remembered the details.

Naruto decided to infiltrate the main building from a window rather than just walking through the door.

Just before he made the jump to the window ledge, Naruto noticed that he had something on his back that was glowing he would never have noticed it but just as he turned around he noticed a flash of light reflecting off a nearby window which he realized was coming from him.

Naruto twisted and turned and reached with his short arms trying to get whatever was on his back off of it. "Damn it! Get Off!"

Eventually, he managed to get it off and to his surprise, it was a piece of paper with a Fuinjutsu written on it and Naruto being a (Former) Uzumaki Clan member recognised every array on it. It was no masterwork if anything Naruto considered it shoddy which was saying something due to his relative inexperience with Fuinjutsu but it was a basic thing with two basic arrays one for light and the other for sound.

"Shit." Naruto realised that it was meant to be bright and loud the perfect distraction, so Naruto did the only logical thing he could think of at that moment and he wrapped the still glowing and slowly beginning to hum piece of paper around a kunai and launched it over the wall before scrambling into the window like a drunken monkey.

He could see the glow get even brighter like a mini white sun and of course, it was letting off an extremely high pitched squealing noise.

"Did Byakuya put that on me?" He whispered to himself.

"What was that!" A voice rang out.

"Enemy attack?" Another said hopefully.

Naruto heard the guards come over to investigate the light show. He could feel some of the other guards shift over here as well though it seemed they were content to leave it in the hands of the two just outside that he could hear.

"Probably a distraction, we should go and check on the prisoner." The first voice said.

"You're probably right, how disappointing I was looking forward to a proper fight to the death." The other replied disappointed.

'Prisoner?' This was the first he was hearing about a prisoner in the compound.

Naruto decided to put it out of mind and took stock of the room he found himself in, it was pretty barren there were two dirty futons on the flow along with a chest against the left wall and a collection of weaponry in the right corner nothing special just swords, spears and even crossbows.

"I'll get this scroll and run back, Byakuya can go fuck himself for putting that on my back." Naruto angrily muttered as he cracked the wooden door open and peered around.

Luckily there seemed to be no one around in this building, in fact, it almost seemed completely unguarded despite the fact this place seemed to be the most important building.

Naruto went through the building carefully following his mental map and came to the supposed treasury room, as it happened it was the only room in the building that he had seen that had a metal door with a lock.

"I hate picking locks." Naruto complained under his breath as he pulled out the needed tools.

A minute later and with a few curses and grumblings from Naruto the lock clicked open and Naruto opened the door and went in.

"Is this it!?" Naruto was taken aback by just how empty the room was.

There was of course money but far less than what Naruto was expecting from one of the strongest Clans in the Land of Water, there was also a pathetic collection of scrolls which no doubt contained the Clans Hiden Jutsu (Secret Techniques) and more weapons but these ones were of better quality than the ones he saw so far, in fact, there was two unique katana looking swords that were wrapped in bandages and the surprising thing was that they had their own Chakra signature which Naruto thought was impossible for non-living things to have their own unique Chakra signatures.

"Well, I suppose I should get to work." He muttered shutting the door behind him.

First Naruto pulled out a blank Sealing Scroll and promptly stole all the Ryo he could fit in it now he wasn't poor anymore. Second, on the list was unsealing more blank scrolls and then grabbing all of the Kaguya's scrolls and copying them.

"Times like this I'm glad Hiruko taught me this Jutsu." Naruto said to himself as he unfurled a blank scroll with one of the Kaguya's scrolls also unfurled next to it.

"Dog, Horse, Rat, Uzumaki Hijutsu: Scroll Copy!" Naruto used a more esoteric of the Uzumaki Clan's Hiden Jutsu, the writing on the Kaguya scroll began to glow blue then the Chakra rose up and went onto the blank scroll and ink began to appear on the blank scroll that was an exact copy of what was in the Kaguya scroll.

The Jutsu itself was incredibly straightforward as it literally just copied one scrolls writings onto another so of course, Naruto would technically be stealing the scroll the Yuki Clan wanted him to steal but without actually taking the original.

'The perfect crime.' Naruto thought smugly as he moved onto another scroll and repeated the process.

This was the task that took the longest for him to do though it took far less time than he was expecting due to the lack of scrolls.

Eventually, he came across an interesting scroll that he was sure that it was the one the Yuki Clan would want the most so he made sure to keep that separate after copying it and this one would be the only one he'd physically take along with a copy.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Naruto's head shot up and as he heard a muffled explosion, it sounded close and that set his teeth edge and made him speed up.

He finished the rest of the scrolls and sealed them away except the one that the Yuki would need.

"Before I forget!" Naruto said and he ran over grabbed the two bundled up swords and noticed they had strings connecting the top to the bottom for carrying so he slung both of them over his shoulder and he ran out of the room and decided that the time for stealth was over and he would make a beeline for Yuki Clan Compound.

Naruto ran through the building not caring about all the noise he was making as he jumped out of the first window he saw and used Chakra to stick to the side of the building and look around for the source of the explosion.

He could see that all the remaining guards had moved out and there was a clash of Chakra in the west where Byakuya said he was going.

"Screw him." Naruto said and jumped off the building and landed on the roof of another nearby.

"Hyoton: Tsubame Fubuki!" Byakuya's voice rang out and Naruto just caught it as he jumped over the giant rib bone wall and back into the surrounding forest.

Naruto felt three Chakra signatures to his left, two felt similar and one was really weak compared to the other which he knew was Byakuya's, the other however was powerful and even monstrous compared to his own.

Naruto's curiosity got the best of him and he decided to take a look before he left, after all, it seemed like there was now 2 Yuki Clan members here and he also wanted to check just who Byakuya was fighting.

It was a very easy battlefield to find, the trees had been frozen and smashed along with some being outright ripped up from the ground roots and all. Naruto hid up in one of the trees to get a better view of the area and was shocked at what he saw.

A white-haired Kaguya loomed over an injured Byakuya who was carrying what looked like an injured Kunoichi over his shoulder who looked unconscious.

The Kaguya was a man who looked about 2-3 years older than Naruto and had the typical markings of his clan though he was wearing a kimono which was pulled down exposing his entire upper body.

"Damn it! Why the Hell is you here!?" Byakuya said he was bleeding from a head injury.

"Did you think that we would not expect a sneak attack in order retrieve the heir?" The Kaguya said back in a very calm even emotionless tone.

"You fuckers!" Byakuya spat the insult as he backed up.

"We have no need for both of you so I will get rid of you now." He told Byakuya like he was talking about the weather.

Naruto almost wretched when he saw what happened after that declaration, the skin on the Kaguya's shoulder literally ripped open and a bone popped out of the shoulder, it was obviously supposed to be the humerus and the Kaguya grabbed it and pulled it out like it was nothing big and the bone itself looked like a short sword which was pointed right at Byakuya and the one on his shoulder.

"Kirigakure no Jutsu!" Byakuya unleashed a Jutsu before the Kaguya moved.

A thick fog developed quickly and soon Naruto lost sight of everything below him but there was movement and he heard the clash of bone against steel than a cry of pain and then he saw a spray of blood which stood out sharply against the white mist.

The fog cleared and now Byakuya was face down on the ground bleeding from multiple slash wounds across his torso while the girl he was protecting was still unconscious against the tree.

The Kaguya stood tall and was unmarked by whatever happened in the mist he looked bored by the entire situation.

"This is what happens when you fight someone far beyond your ability." He informed the downed Byakuya.

"F-fuck you." Byakuya managed to spit out between bloody teeth, Naruto admired his spirit.

"Sensatsu Suisho." A gentle voice intoned to Naruto's surprise the unconscious was not quite unconscious.

There was a lot of ambient water in the area which rose up from the ground, from the trees, from the bushes even from the mud. The water rose then shaped itself into senbon and surrounded the Kaguya on all sides, he was stuck inside a dome of sharpened.

Then they shot forward every single water senbon was aimed at a vital point, but the Kaguya did not move he remained still even as death rained down on him.

"No." The girl said weakly only one black eye open in shock, the other was shut no doubt due to the swelling from what looked like multiple harsh punches probably from some rough treatment and torture.

The Kaguya stood completely unfazed even with hundreds of water senbon sticking out of his body, the senbon lost their form and became harmless water which dripped down his body.

"Did you forget about my Kekkei Genkai? That I can create armour under my skin that no Senbon can pierce." He asked genuinely curious.

The Kaguya walked forward with his bone sword in hand, the female Yuki attempted to stand but failed and Byakuya was completely out of the equation even with the white-haired bone monster ready to deliver the killing blow to him.

'Fuck!' Naruto thought as his body moved before his brain could stop it.

He leapt down throwing a shower of kunai and shuriken at the Kaguya, about half of them were deflected and Naruto went in close grabbing the wrist of the hand holding the blade as the Kaguya swung at him in an attempt to take off his head or open his throat either one really.

Naruto was already thinking a step ahead right up until the other hand was pointed at him fingers right at his head. The tips of the Kaguya's fingers then split open revealing the tips of his finger bones which Naruto realised almost a moment too late that they were going to shoot out at him which they did and he had to let go of the Kaguya's wrist and retreat slightly as the finger bones drove themself into the ground and trees, but Naruto had two long thing cuts on the side of his right cheek where they grazed him.

"Another piece of trash not worth my time." He commented dully looking at Naruto completely unimpressed.

"That's what you think," Naruto told him and made a hand sign which activated the tag he put around the Kaguya's wrist when he grabbed it.

"Fuinjutsu!" He managed to get out in surprise before lightning erupted from the paper seal and of course, he was covered in water which intensified the effect of the lightning.

Naruto watched as the lightning ran over the Kaguya's body and even began to burn his skin and make him twitch and lose control of his muscles as he fell down into the muddy ground.

"Who are you!?" He questioned from his place on the ground.

"You're still conscious! Damn!" Naruto was surprised by his durability.

"I'm Naruto, a freelance Ninja on loan right now." He answered cheekily walking past the downed enemy towards the girl and Byakuya.

"You have no Clan." He said twitching on the ground.

"Come one, your Clan Head sent me to steal a scroll but I imagine you are the real reason I was here." Naruto said coming to a stop in front of the girl.

"I see." The girl said with a low voice and relaxed against the tree.

"I'll get you and Byakuya out of here." Naruto said reassuringly.

"Look out!" The girl shouted with a deeper voice than what he was expecting.

Naruto turned to see the Kaguya back on his feet with rage burning in his eyes, "Wow you're really durable."

"Die." That was all the response Naruto got.

"Sorry I still have a lot to do." The Naruto behind him said.

"Clone!" The white-haired teenager attempted to whirl around but it was too late, the Naruto behind him placed an Explosive Tag directly on his back.

"Get in cover!" Naruto shouted while dragging Byakuya behind a tree while the kimono-clad girl struggled and shuffled behind the tree she was leaning against.

"No! I cannot die to a no one like you.!" He raged with bones erupting all over his body but it was too late the Naruto clone was hit by the bone spikes and was destroyed and returned to being water.

The resulting explosion was loud and strong, shrapnel went everywhere and Naruto's ears were ringing loudly even minutes after the explosion, the tree he had hidden behind with Byakuya had been destroyed by the explosion but it had done its job and protected them.

"Woah! I didn't expect this." Naruto said taking in the destruction, there was a crater in the ground, the mud had actually hardened and the grass was burnt and that's not even mentioning the destroyed trees, burnt bark was all over the face.

"Urgh." A small groan caught his attention.

The smoke cleared and Naruto saw that the white-haired Kaguya was still alive though he was in terrible shape, his skin was ripped from the explosion and he was laying in a pool of his own blood, though Naruto could clearly see the famed 'Bone Armour' which was exposed for him to see.

"Hang on." Naruto said aloud looking at the unconscious enemy.

'I can get his Kekkei Genkai here and now.' He thought Byakuya was unconscious the girl was probably out of it now as well. There was no one around to stop him.

'Although if I do use it then my body will go into shock to adjust.' He remembered one of the biggest drawbacks, the actual process was extremely painful and he would be extremely vulnerable during the entire time.

"I'll just take his body and get out of here then." Naruto said approaching the downed boy.

"There was an explosion!" A deep male voice shouted in the distance.

"That direction! Those scum attacking like this!" Another screamed angrily.

"Shit." Naruto said realising his lack of time.

"Blurgh." Byakuya threw up blood which leaked into the ground catching Naruto's attention.

Now he was faced with two choices, one takes the girl and Byakuya back to the Yuki compound and get rewarded and have the Yuki Clan in his debt or two take the Kaguya's body and take his Kekkei Genkai and gain the first of what he needed.

"Ah damn it all." Naruto complained as he sensed the Kaguya making a beeline right to his location.

Naruto looked around one final time and made his choice.

Hope you all enjoyed Chapter 7, this was fun to write though a bitch to find a good stopping point, decided on a cliffhanger though so look forward to Chapter 8.

Also, I'm thinking about revamping how I do the Jutsu in this story like I've always done it like this:

Katon: Fire Ball Jutsu.

Like so it has the Japanese start but the English Jutsu name but the more I use it the more I don't like it so now I'm torn between going full English e.g

Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu

or go Japanese:

Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu

The thing I don't like about the English names is how much of a mouthful some of them can get but on the other hand, the Japanese ones will need a translation that I'll have to put at the end of the chapter since I think having the translations next to the Jutsu takes me out of the story usually, also whenever I use a Jutsu that doesn't exist on the Naruto Wiki it means I'll have to find a decent English-Japanese translator to make a name myself.

I decided on the Japanese way for this chapter with the Jutsu names translated below this AN. So if you reading this have any opinions on it leave a review, I'd do a poll but honestly, I can't be bothered.
