A/N: A big apology to you all for not updating this story before now but I hit a MAJOR writers block in concerns to this story and a number of others that I had been working on to finish and although I tried a number of times to get the words for this one gong again, they just would not come. However you can all thank Malyx Blackfyre for his PM to me & hours or so ago, which contained 264 pleases to get me to update again. With so many please's, I could not let him down, it might have caused him to send me another PM with even more please's in it and his message was very heartfelt. Although it sounds like I am being sarcastic I am not, really.

So will you all send him a PM and thank him or her for getting me to get off my collective writers butt and updating this story.

Even if this will also just be a small filler chapter. I will try and work on the next chapter of this story this week.

Jon made his way through the corridors of Winterfell towards Lord Stark's office, still unsure of what he felt or how he should feel now. His mind had been in turmoil all-night, not quite able to take in the words which the king had spoken the night before, words which forever would change his life.

He walked still as if in a daze, his mind still going over the words and the reactions of those who had heard them, he had not entirely been aware of the reactions of people when he had fled from the hall the night before, his own reaction to the kings words, had been of shock and they had distressed him somewhat.

A slight sound to his side of someone giving a polite cough brought him out of his reverie and he saw his sister Sansa standing to one side of him, 'no' he thought with a start, 'she is not my sister but my cousin'.

"Lady Sansa, what can I do for you?"

He asked her politely, not sure how he should reply to her or if he should. Sansa had never been his biggest fan, she had always tried to pretend that he did not exist and a large part of him had understood why she had been the way she had been, she had done it I loyalty towards Lady Stark, her mother and although it had over the years hurt, that she viewed him as nothing but a stain on the honour of the Stark household. As had many others within Winterfell and the North, he thought to himself, sadly.

"Jon, I was wondering how you are? You fled from the hall last night before father could talk to you."

"I am fine Lady Sansa, you need not concern yourself about me."

"Are you going to see father about what was said last night?"

"I am," he replied to her.

"Oh,"

For a moment the two of them stood in awkward silence unsure of what next to do, Jon knew he had to get to Lord Starks office, it was best not to keep his father, 'no,' he thought, again unsure how to address the Lord of Winterfell, 'not my father, if the words that the king uttered last night are true.'

"I best get going Lady Sansa it would not do to keep your father waiting." Jon said to her.

"Of course," Sansa nodded her head almost demurely as she normally did but there was a hesitation, an unsureness in her eyes that Jon had never seen before.

He nodded his head towards her briefly, as he moved away from her continuing his way to a meeting he was beginning to feel even more unsure of, he could feel his stomach rolling a little in discomfort at what he would be told by the Winterfell lord, in fact he almost turned into the wrong corridor, thinking perhaps it was best to put off the meeting for longer but he knew that would be a dishonourable thing to do and if nothing else he would not lose what little honour he had.

Looking up as he approached the door of Lord Stark's office, he took a deep breath and then knocked on the door.

"Come,"

He heard Lord Starks voice from inside the room and he pushed the door open, determined if somewhat a little frightened, but determined not to show it, as he moved into the room.

"You wished to see me, my lord?"

A/N: I know it is really short but I thought I would get this out and updated and then the next chapter will be about the meeting between the two of them and of course the king being there.
