Friend of the Yuki Clan
Land of Water
Yuki Clan Compound
The next day has shown none of the carnage of the previous one, the sun was bright and shining, a warm wind went through the trees and the sea was calm and beautiful. It was like the day before was just a dream and none of the bloodshed happened.
Naruto was sat on a pillow this time and he was even given a cup of tea, his torso was a little sore from being stabbed but luckily for Naruto the blade was extremely sharp and also thin so it came out very easily and the only damage was patched up then and there then Naruto got to go and sleep in a warm bed and have a nice breakfast without worrying about people trying to kidnap him from an inn as some sort of twisted tribute to a Clan.
"Naruto-San, the Clan Head wishes to speak with you." A female voice said softly from outside the paper door.
"Okay coming." He said finishing off his tea and standing up, he was in one of the Yuki Clan's many male kimonos since his own clothes were filthy though, of course, he kept the bandaged sword along with all his other tools with him just in case.
While he was fine with leaving some of the stuff in the room he was given, he did not feel comfortable leaving those swords so he slung those over his back before leaving and seeing the cute teenage girl who was waiting for him outside, she had wide brown eyes, long black hair that was held in an elegant ponytail along with having a lithe body shape.
"Good Morning Naruto-San, Byakko-Sama wishes to see you in his private room." She informed him. Naruto felt bad because he could not remember her name despite being told it last night.
"Good Morning, erh. Lead the way." He said awkwardly with a strange go on hand gesture.
She bowed and began to walk down the open hallway, Naruto looked around and saw that the compound was far more alive than when he first arrived, there were young children in the garden and the older teenagers were training with the adults, Naruto knew that they didn't suffer any casualties from the diversionary attack but more than a handful where wounded.
"How are those two?" He asked curiously as he took in the settled mood of the home.
"Byakuya-Sama is confined to bed rest for a few weeks while Haku-Sama is recovering well enough to be out of bed in the next few days." She informed him formally.
"That's good." Naruto commented lamely not really having anything else to say.
They walked the rest of the way in silence and Naruto was ashamed to admit it but he spent most of the walk looking at her swaying hips and occasionally glancing around at the people in the compound, he could see the occasional Ninja appear before disappearing into the shadows quickly as they went on their business patrols and the like.
He knew that they were watching the Kaguya Clan like hawks, waiting for some form of retaliation but it seemed so far like they were content to lick their wounds but from Naruto had seen they would probably be back especially when the Heir of the Clan had been wounded by him and Byakko, Kaguya Kimimaro had survived that gigantic ice dragon that was launched at him, the Yuki scouts had seen the teenager pull himself from the ice and return home.
'I hope I never have to fight him again.' Naruto thought with a shiver.
"We are here, Naruto-San." She said catching his attention.
They were in front of a room that Naruto had never seen before, it was definitely a different place from the room where he was brought after being brought out of the ice room.
"Byakko-Sama, Namikaze Naruto is here." She called into the room.
'Namikaze? That's my Dad's name, not mine.' Naruto thought but didn't bother to correct her.
"Bring him in Jun." A weak voice said it did not sound like the Byakko Naruto had heard before.
Jun slid the door open and stepped aside obviously Naruto was to walk in first which he did.
The room was warm and richly decorated it reminded him of the Clan Head's room at the top of the tower back in the Uzumaki Clan village. Byakko was sat at a desk with various papers on the desk along with ink and pens there was also two wooden chairs opposite his own, and of course, there was also a raging fire in a hearth on the opposite side from the door.
The man himself looked gaunt and ill, he was very pale with bags under his eyes and that was not even mentioning the fact that he was shivering despite how warm the room was.
"Hello, Naruto." Byakko greeted him and gestured for him to sit down, his voice sounded weak and sickly.
"Good morning Byakko-San." Naruto decided to be polite and he sat in the seat putting his swords leaning against the other chair while Jun the girl shut the door behind him and padded away.
"How is your wound?" He asked Naruto.
"Pretty much healed, I was lucky that his bone weapons are so sharp that they didn't do any damage beyond the obvious stuff." Naruto answered patting the place where he was hit.
"That is good, you have done my Yuki Clan a great service by returning both of my grandsons to me alive." Byakko said gratefully.
"Grandsons? Wasn't the person I dragged here a girl?" Naruto was officially confused.
"A girl! Hah no my Haku is most definitely a boy." Byakko laughed at Naruto who went red in the face.
"Oh." Naruto muttered very embarrassedly.
"Hah! I can understand why you thought that he's prettier than most girls but Haku is indeed my grandson." Byakko said still chuckling.
Naruto remained silent but he was now red from ear to ear and he had crossed his arms petulantly while grumbling like the child he was rather than the Ninja he is supposed to be.
"But enough about that, you have gone above and beyond what was required of you and that requires an equally great reward." Byakko said getting more serious.
"Like using me as bait." Naruto said under his breath annoyed.
"Yes indeed I am sorry about that now, but such is how our world works when working with the Clanless." Byakko heard the small statement.
"Urgh." Naruto grunted and decided to keep those comments to himself from now on.
"I got a scroll as well." Naruto said offering the copied scroll to Byakko who reached out and took it.
"I see this is surprising, I did not expect them to keep something like this considering their bloodthirst and disdain for civilisation," Byakko said surprised as he read the scroll.
"Yeah, I mean who would have thought they were planning to betray the Hozuki and take out your clan through deceit." Naruto said as he had already read the scroll.
"Betrayals are common among Ninja Clans but this violates the small number of rules every Clan follows to keep some form of peace." Byakko said disgustedly as he shut the scroll and placed it on his desk.
"You have indeed completed the mission given to you even if it was fake." Byakko was impressed by Naruto who puffed up at the praise.
"Though I do wonder about your other spoils gained during your infiltration," Byakko said obviously expecting an answer.
"Well, I did rob them that Ryo is mine. And I got these two swords as well." Naruto said holding the bandaged blades up making sure not to point the tips at Byakko as Naruto knew that they were not alone in this room and any aggression would mean death.
"I was wondering about those two, they feel peculiar." Byakko said looking at them with a critical eye.
"I thought so too and they were in a vault so they must be good." Naruto said looking at them.
"Have you unwrapped them to look at the blades?" Byakko asked curiously.
"Actually no I haven't." Naruto answered but it did seem like an obvious thing to do though.
Naruto went about unwrapping the bandages and the moment he tugged on a certain bandage on each blade the bandages unfurled all at once revealing very odd blades, they were shaped like normally curved katanas however both blades had two spike-like protrusions coming off one facing forward and the other facing back.
"No wonder they didn't have a sheath how the hell would you even make a sheath for them." Naruto said looking both impressed and confused at the strange blades.
"The Kiba!" Byakko said in awe of the blades.
"The what?" Naruto asked still holding the swords up.
"Those are the Thunderswords, the Kiba created by Muramasa Sengo. Those are legendary blades!" Byakko said a bit more loudly.
"Woah, cool!" Naruto said looking at said swords with stars in his eyes.
"Those are blades sacred to the Land of Water, they have been passed between Clans in this land for around 100 years." Byakko explained.
"Wow, I just found them in the Kaguya's vault." Naruto said bringing the blades down and very carefully resting them across his lap.
"They were last in the hands of the Clanless Ameyuri Ringo who was killed some years ago, the Kiba was thought lost after no new wielder appeared." Byakko said.
"I've never heard of them before." Naruto said honestly looking at the blades on his lap.
"You are not from the Land of Water so this is not surprising. Many years ago a swordsmith by the name of Muramasa Sengo was born and he had the unique ability to impart Chakra into steel it was from this ability that he created many swords that people often regard as cursed but such a thing is mere superstition the truth is, is that the swords were simply very good at cutting people down." Byakko began to weave a tale catching Naruto's full attention.
"Years passed by and eventually he grew sick of forging simple blades and he set himself a task of creating new swords, the first to be created was the Seversword: Kubikiribocho a blade that will never break as long as there is blood to be shed, the second was the Longsword: Nuibari which could stitch people together, the third Bluntsword: Kabutowari which could crush any defences the fourth Blastsword: Shibuki which would explode every time it was swung the fifth are the blades you hold now the Thunderswords: Kiba which are imbued with the power of lightning itself, the sixth is the Twinsword Hiramekarei which could store and unleash Chakra and of course, the seventh and final sword was the Greatsword: Samehada which some say is alive and does not cut but shred. Muramasa gave these swords out to passing Ninja whenever they came as the blades were completed, it was these blades that often tipped the balance of power among the Ninja Clans all of these swords are held as sacred objects for all Clans in the Land of Water." Byakko explained to Naruto who was obviously enthralled by it.
"But it also means that any who hold these swords have a target painted upon them as every Ninja in our land will kill to obtain such power." Byakko warned snapping Naruto out of his dreams of flinging lightning at his enemies.
"Oh." Naruto gulped and looked again at the swords as if feeling their weight for the first time.
"But the Kiba are yours by right so you can of course do what you wish with them." Byakko said attempting to comfort him.
"You don't say." Naruto said distantly before his blue eyes snapped into focus and locked onto Byakko taking him back from the fire dwelling within them.
"You said I've gone above and beyond for the Yuki Clan?" Naruto asked him seriously.
"Yes, you have." Byakko answered honestly though he was confused by the question.
"So that means I can ask for a great reward?" Naruto questioned again.
"Yes." Byakko answered again though he was beginning to get a bad feeling.
"And I think you would be even more grateful if I gave your clan these Kiba swords as well?" Naruto asked though he already knew the answer to this question.
"Of course, it would be a great honour to have one of the Seven Swords." Byakko answered positively again.
'I think I might just have a shot of getting what I want after all.' Naruto thought smiling.
"Okay, then Yuki Byakko-Sama I do have a reward in mind for both my service and these swords." Naruto said to him.
"Name it and if it is within reason I shall grant you most boons you can think off." Byakko was not a man to be put on the back foot and he answered Naruto clearly and with a sharp look in his aged grey eyes.
"It's simple I wish for your Hyoton Kekkei Genkai." Naruto answered and the entire room fell into silence.
"Wh-what, you want out Kekkei Genkai?" Byakko asked shocked by the request.
"Yes." Naruto answered resolutely.
"How?" That was the only question Byakko had.
"Hypothetically what if there was once a man who created a Kinjutsu which could take a Kekkei Genkai from one body and put it into another, what would you think would happen if such a Jutsu existed." Naruto said to him.
"I see." Byakko said and fell into silence to think on the question.
'This is dangerous and stupid, Naruto you should have just asked for an alliance or something and left!' Naruto berated himself harshly now thinking asking for their Kekkei Genkai was a huge mistake.
"If such a Jutsu were to exist then the Clans with Kekkei Genkai would kill any who knew it to defend their blood from being stolen and the Clans without Kekkei Genkai would seek it out at all costs to get what they were not born with. The existence of such a Jutsu could lead to a Second Great War." Byakko finally answered which stopped Naruto from mentally hitting himself in the face for his stupidity.
"So there is more to you than meets the eyes young Naruto." Byakko said looking at the blonde boy with a calculating look.
"I said hypothetically." Naruto said back trying to scramble some form of defence.
"Then you shouldn't have asked for out Kekkei Genkai as a reward then." Byakko cut through that bullshit easily.
"Tell me this Jutsu would it require a living or dead person, or perhaps a drop of blood?" Byakko asked curiously.
"A living person or one who has died an hour ago, before their Chakra can disperse." Naruto answered automatically like it was one of Hiruko's questions and wanted to smack himself for answering it.
"I see." Byakko acknowledged the words and brought his hands upon the desk and rested his chin on it.
'Damn it! Idiot! Idiot! Idiot! Should have just asked for something not suspicious then found another Clan with a Kekkei Genkai and took theirs.' Naruto kept scolding himself as the silence dragged on.
"Does this Jutsu destroy the body that is affected but it?" Byakko asked again.
"Just the Chakra Coils." Naruto answered again, he had given up now.
'If he kills me, he kills me I don't care now.' Naruto thought moodily.
"Does it matter if the body is sick?" Byakko asked another question.
"No, the Jutsu would only affect the Chakra Coils within the body." Naruto answered again now he was getting curious about all of the questions.
"I am dying." Byakko told Naruto looking him right in the eyes.
"I know, it's kind of obvious." Naruto couldn't stop his mouth.
"Hah, indeed but it is good manners not to draw attention to such things." Byakko said with a short laugh.
"That's why you were so desperate to get Haku back, he's your heir." Naruto said realising that the past day now made sense it was desperation that drove them to use him rather than just kill him, they needed all the manpower they could scrape together to retrieve the soon to be head of the Clan.
"Haku is to succeed me and with our manpower spread over many islands to keep peace and protect our territory it means that here is where we are spread thin, I could not call the entire Clan to save him such a thing would expose weakness as such we needed it done with as few people as possible." Byakko said with a sigh.
"And that's why I was spared." Naruto concluded and Byakko nodded at him.
"Indeed but now you have returned with both of my Grandsons as well as information to tip the balance of power in our favour on top of offering the Kiba to us." Byakko said and he once again locked eyes with Naruto.
"Use this 'hypothetical' Kinjutsu on me after I die and then you can obtain the Hyoton." Byakko finally said shocking Naruto.
'I would never have expected him to actually give me it, most Clans would sooner destroy every one of their own bodies than even give the enemy a hair to keep their Kekkei Genkai secret.' Naruto thought honestly and truly shocked.
"I am already a walking corpse and if this Kinjutsu can pull a Kekkei Genkai from a corpse then it is no bother." Byakko said dryly.
"I don't suppose you could give me some Jutsu scrolls as well?" Naruto decided to push his luck, well his mouth did his brain was back to screaming at him.
"That would be for the new Clan Head to decide." Byakko said and he nodded and a shadow fell from the ceiling landing right beside the two seated people.
The person was wearing a white mask that was decorated with a mist-like pattern along with having a snowflake symbol carved in the forehead the symbol of the Yuki Clan of course. They were in a dull grey and dark blue fighting kimono and were tall, thin but strong looking.
"Well, Haku?" Byakko asked the masked figure.
"I do not know Grandfather." Haku answered taking the mask off his face, revealing a bruised but beautiful face that belonged to a woman more than a man.
"Hi." Naruto squeaked, he knew he wasn't alone in the room with Byakko but having Haku here was something he did not expect.
'I thought he was recovering in bed.' Naruto's mind wailed.
"It is up to you from now on, I have only a few weeks of life left." Byakko said leaning back in his chair and relaxing.
"Tell me Naruto just what do you intend to do without Kekkei Genkai?" Haku turned and asked Naruto correctly.
"Well, mainly to defend myself, I suppose. I only came here to get a Kekkei Genkai and I was planning to leave once I got one." Naruto revealed his complete lack of any true plan.
"I-I see." Haku stuttered he was probably expecting a lie or maybe some grand plan.
"I only want to fulfil my Sensei's wish." Naruto said honestly looking at both of them.
"I see now things make more sense, this Sensei of yours no doubt created this Kinjutsu and passed it down to you." Byakko said and he looked happy his guess was correct as Naruto nodded in response.
"So you're carrying out the will of your Sensei and that requires using the Jutsu to obtain a Kekkei Genkai." Haku said looking for confirmation.
"Yes." Naruto answered.
'Though I will be taking more than 'a Kekkei Genkai' I think they'd lose their minds if I said I needed 4 more.' Naruto thought sweating from his anxiety.
"I suppose if you swear to never harm the Yuki Clan I could personally instruct your use of the Hyoton, though I would not teach you our Hijutsu unless you marry into the Clan." Haku reasoned out aloud.
"Well, he did seem to like Jun." Byakko commented causing Naruto to blush from ear to ear.
"Of course, you saw that." He muttered petulantly.
"I don't blame you boy if I was younger." Byakko began to speak but a harsh glare from Haku stopped that.
"I believe we can come to an arrangement about this situation and because it is Grandfather donating his body I have to ask, will his body be mutilated or damaged by this Jutsu?" Haku asked and Naruto saw the first flicker of emotion in his black eyes since Naruto had seen him.
"No, only his Chakra Coils will be gone apart from that he'll look exactly the same." Naruto answered.
"It's a strange thing, to hear others talking about my corpse while I am still alive." Byakko muttered.
"Sorry." Naruto apologised though he really didn't have to.
"It's fine all men die someday, you will learn this when you grow old and turn grey." Byakko waved him off.
"We should move to a place with more privacy." Haku spoke again and got a nod from Byakko.
"Yes, let us do this away from prying eyes." Byakko agreed and stood up.
Naruto stood up as well and placed the Kiba blades on the desk.
"These are yours now I suppose." Naruto said as he put them down.
"They will be a
great boon to the Clan in the future." Haku said with a thankful nod.
"Come children, I am ready now." Byakko said walking to the door. "Follow me."
Later
Yuki Clan Compound
Hidden Room
The room Naruto was led to was actually hidden behind a huge block of ice in the ice room where Naruto had first awakened here.
"I really didn't want to see this place again." Naruto said as he looked at the giant blocks of ice.
"Well it is a hidden room and we needed to put it somewhere no one wanted to go." Byakko said with a laugh as he walked to the back of the room.
"I can't believe there are people in there." Naruto said looking at a frozen figure.
"Those are the great enemies of the Yuki Clan, we keep them as a reminder." Haku explained as he glared at one particular block of ice.
"That and to make shaved ice in the summer." Byakko said blithely, he seemed to be a lot better now as if dying had freed him from whatever was weighing him down earlier.
"Aha! Here we are." Byakko said and placed his hand on the stone.
"Kai." He chanted and released a pulse of Chakra.
Naruto was impressed by the Fuinjutsu that appeared after that as it began to glow blue like all Fuinjutsu usually did it was large and intricate and after a few moments the stone moved backwards and swung left like a door being opened.
"Come on inside." Byakko said and he went in first, it was almost like Hiruko's lab with a hidden entrance and a stone hallway lit up by torches leading somewhere.
Naruto was next and Haku was behind him bringing up the rear, the door shut once Haku passed some invisible threshold and it shut behind them.
'Hang on this seems like an actual execution now.' Naruto thought when he realised that he was alone with two Ninjas more powerful than him.
This secret hallway however was far short than Hiruko's and all 3 of them were soon stood in a simple room, there was a stone table-looking thing carved with a snowflake symbol in the centre and what looked like tombs lining the walls.
"This place is where the Clan Heads are entombed. If their bodies are recovered of course." Byakko explained walking to the centre of the room.
"I am lucky as a Ninja since I can choose where, when and how I die." Byakko said as he hopped onto the stone table.
'Oh, it's not a table it is one of those things that prepare bodies.' Naruto realised while Byakko pulled out a small glass container.
"My life has not been the best but my death is one I choose." Byakko said and popped the cork of the glass vial in his hand and drank it.
"I am too old and feeble to be of use, in this world a Clan cannot survive a with a feeble leader. It is time for me to die and be replaced by a younger and stronger man." Byakko kept talking and he seemed to gain strength from his own words.
"Look upon a true Ninja who dies doing the best thing he can for his Clan." Byakko ordered the two of them.
It was not a long death, soon enough Byakko began to sway than he lay down on the stone slab and closed his eyes moments later his chest stopped moving and he expired peacefully like he just went to sleep.
"Please hurry I wish to lay him to rest as soon as possible." Haku said to Naruto who was just standing there looking shocked at what he just watched.
"How could he just do that?" Naruto questioned still in shock.
"He is a Ninja we do whatever we need to for our Clan." Haku said looking despondent at his now dead Grandfather.
"Right. Right." Naruto coughed then walked over to the body.
Naruto went through the Hand Signs as carefully as possible it was a short sequence but even so everything had to be perfect, Ox, Horse then Hare.
"Chimera Jutsu." Naruto said softly as he placed his hand on Byakko's stomach.
Fuinjutsu appeared on Naruto's hand, these seals were not normally visible as they were carved into his bones which was not a nice experience but it was needed.
Black erupted from his hand which was, in reality, the Fuinjutsu being applied to Byakko's corpse the Fuinjutsu went under his skin and the moment it came into contact with his Chakra Coils the Jutsu fully activated and the Chakra along with a small sample of DNA was extracted from Byakko's body sent up Naruto's arm then moved to his own Chakra Coils and forced to fuse together.
"GHR!" Naruto grunted in pain, Hiruko warned him that it was a painful process but this was way beyond what he was expecting.
'It feels like my body is turning inside out! My body is filled with lava!' Naruto lost the ability to speak so all he could do was think.
Naruto didn't know how long he stood there as the Chimera Jutsu did its thing but it felt like an eternity eventually the Jutsu resolved and Naruto fell to his knees panting.
"Ow! Ow! Argh!" Naruto could only make pained noises as he rested his sweaty forehead against the cold stone, he hadn't noticed but he had fully body sweats like he had a bad fever.
"Are you okay!?" Haku ran over to the panting and fallen boy.
"Yeah, this is why the Jutsu is so dangerous to the user." Naruto finally managed to say.
"Why!?" Haku asked as he lifted Naruto up.
"When you use this Jutsu and absorb the Kekkei Genkai, the body goes into a shock-like state and attempts to reject the foreign Chakra but the Chimera Jutsu compensates for that but it means that after using it your essentially a sitting duck for a day or 2 while the body adjusts," Naruto remembered Hiruko's warnings well despite not being a book learner Hiruko had beaten it into Naruto just what it means to use the Chimera Jutsu.
"So you have it then our Hyoton?" Haku asked him.
"Yeah, I can't wait to try it out!" Naruto exclaimed, despite the pain, he was in, the blonde was truly excited at the prospect.
"I'll get you back to your room and we'll see about your training tomorrow, today however I must prepare Grandfather." Haku said and Naruto nodded.
"I am sorry this isn't how I wanted this to happen." Naruto said as Haku began to drag him back to the entrance.
"I know, I heard your muttering about taking Kimimaro's body rather than myself or Byakuya." Haku revealed.
"You were conscious for that!" Naruto said shocked.
"Of course, a true Ninja always remains alert." Haku said like it was simple.
"Wow, you're amazing." Naruto mumbled as his head lolled from side to side.
"That is a big compliment from a person who can take a Kekkei Genkai." Haku said with a smile.
"Heh, I'm amazing, in the future I'll be the strongest Ninja there is." Naruto mumbled.
"I will watch you closely." Haku promised.
"You better." Naruto said before he passed out.
"I do wonder Naruto, can you only take one Kekkei Genkai or can you take more?" Haku asked him though he would get no answer to that question for now.
Haku would come to realise that Naruto was not boasting about being the strongest in the future but for now he was just a boy with a unique Kinjutsu.

I think this is the longest chapter ever of Naruto The Chimera and it feels like a fever dream honestly.
Lots of lore in this chapter but hey Naruto has finally obtained his first Kekkei Genkai Yay! This took longer than I thought and I even thought about splitting this chapter but decided against it, hope you enjoyed it.
The next chapter will be a cool down chapter and set up for the future. At first, I was making this story up as I went but now I have a solid plan in mind along with future arcs.
Also in the first draft of this story, Haku was going to be female and part of the Harem but I decided to go another path with it, so there's your random trivia for this story.
