Legend of Korra (Nickelodeon)

Chapter III:

The Revelation:

A new day arrived in the fabulous steampunk utopia of Republic City. In less than a night Avatar Korra has become an overnight Pro Bending celebrity thanks to the encouragement of Kamala. At the Pro bending stadium the two friends were present in the gym with their teammates Mako and Bolin. Korra and the boys were standing opposite from each other tossing a weight ball for training. It wasn't so bad. Unless you count the insane early hours.

Kamala watched from the side on the bench for moral support. However she was a little tired. The group were in brown training gear in red, green and blue representing their elements.

Korra had caught the ball in her hand, but she was a little irritable from being woken up early. "What's the big idea with making me train this early in the morning?" Korra asked. "The morning is evil." She whispered.

"Tell me about it!" Kamala groaned in agreement. "Ami and Abu wake me up earlier than this for school! But then again Nats morning hours are worse." She muttered.

Korra then tosses the ball to Bolin who caught it. "We're the rookies, so we get the worst time slot in the gym."

"And you're the rookiest of us all." Mako explained as Bolin tossed the ball to him. "We gotta get you up to speed if we wanna survive in the tournament. Deal with it." He tossed the ball to Korra.

She catches it but is greatly annoyed. "You deal with it!" She tossed the ball back to Mako rather aggressively and he flipped backwards and landed flat on his back. Sliding next to Kamala on the bench.

"You did kind of ask for that you know?" Kamala said.

Mako just groaned in annoyance as he got back up. "There are my little hard-working street urchins." Called a voice a man entered the room wearing a black coat, top hat green undercoat with a black moustache and with boots.

He takes notice of the Avatar in the room. "It's an honour to finally meet you, Avatar." He greeted as Kamala and Mako came up to them. Pabu then hopped up on Bolin's shoulder.

"And you are …?" Korra asked.

The man took off his hat and introduced himself. "Butakha. I run this whole pro-bending shebang." He said as a business man.

As Korra and Kamala walk away the business man turns his attention to the two bending brothers. He hands Mako a load of money. "Here's your winnings from the last match." Butakha said to a wide grinning Mako who was about to put the money away, but then.

"Ah ah ah, not so fast" Butakha said as he took some money from the pile in Mako's hand. "First, you owe me for the Avatar's new gear, gym and equipment rentals from last month," He continued taking more and more money from the pile. Mako thought that was it and tried to put it away but sadly.

"...rent on your apartment, and a personal loan for groceries." Eventually all the money is gone from Makos hand, he then shifted a glare towards the brother who asked for said groceries.

"What? I'm a growing boy!" Bolin protested rubbing his stomach.

However the bad news wasn't over yet. "Oh, and one more small item of business. The Fire Ferrets need to ante up thirty thousand yuans for the championship pot."

"THIRTY THOUSAND YUANS?!" Bolin said in complete surprise. Even Pabu was a little surprised as well still on his owners shoulder.

Butakha then places his hand on Mako's shoulder with a rather sympathetic look. "Sorry, kids. You got 'til the end of the week to come up with the dough, or else, you're out of the tournament."With that he took his leave.

Korra and Kamala then came up to the two disappointed Fire Ferrets. "Wow, thirty thousand yuans, thats pretty steep." Kamala voiced.

"You wouldn't happen to have a secret Avatar bank account overflowing with gold, would you?" Bolin said looking to Korra.

"I got nothing." Korra said holding out her pockets.

"Kamala?" Bolin then asked the young Avenger.

"Sorry Bolin, I don't even have my allowance yet." She said sadly. "I do have a friend who was a billionaire but, I'm not sure his currency would work here."

"Besides I've never really needed money. I've always had people taking care of me." Korra admitted.

"Unless you call being isolated in a compound as taking care of you." Kamala then pointed out. "But at least staying with Tenzin means no rent."

"Then I wouldn't say neither of you have nothing." Mako said a little accusingly as he packed away the gym equipment.

Korra and Kamala looked at each other a wincing in guilt. They realised that may've come out a little bragging. "Sorry, I didn't mean…" Korra tried.

"Yeah I uh…" Kamala agreed.

"No, it's all right. It's just ever since we lost our parents, we've been on our own." Bolin said a little sadly with Pabu cuddling up to him.

"I'm so sorry. We didn't know." Korra apologised.

"Yeah I can only imagine how hard it was for you." Kamala said in sympathy.

Not wanting to be reminded by the loss of his parents, Mako decided to change the subject. "So, anyway, how are we gonna come up with the money?" He asked swinging the gym bag over his shoulder.

"Oh, oh, I got it! I got it!" Bolin said eagerly squatting down and holding up Pabu. "I've been training Pabu to do circus tricks. Now people would pay good money to see that!"

Mako however didn't see the value in his brothers idea. "Come on, need serious ideas." He said.

"I was serious." Bolin said a little downtrodden by his brothers lack of confidence in him.

Mako then walked away leaving Korra, Bolin, Pabu and Kamala in the training room. "Don't worry about it. I'll figure something out. I always do."

However as his older brother left the gym Bolin's face bore a determined expression. He didn't need his brothers approval, and he'd done so much to help him and keep them going, it was time for the young Earthbender to help him.

Later that day:

Outside the Republic City Central station stood a large statue of Fire Lord Zuko in his youth. Friend and ally of Avatar Aang and former Fire Lord of the Fire Nation before he retired his position to his daughter. At the base of the statue was Bolin who was sitting crosslegged with a fake moustache wearing a red and yellow jacket. Pabu was wearing a costume of his own a bright green jacket with a small hat standing on a paper cup between a small wooden stick and another paper cup. It was like a tightrope.

"Come one, come all. See Pabu the fantastic fire ferret as he crosses the Ladder of Peril, upside down!" He announced gasping for dramatics.

However Pabu was too busy cleaning himself to do any fancy tricks. Bolin tried to get him to do his act. "Psst, psst." Pabu then started doing his performance balancing on the tightrope on his front paws. He was now halfway across.

"Big finish, buddy. Stick the landing." Bolin silently cheered his pet on. Then before he knew it the Fire Ferret leaped off the board rolled in the air and landed on his front left paw. Like an acrobat.

"Tada!" Bolin cheered. "Thank you, ladies and gentlemen! You are too kind! Seriously, too kind!" As he acted someone placed some coins in his cup passing by.

"You can come back here and put money right in this…" However there was no one else interested in the performance. "Okay, that's fine, that's fine." He looked in his can and saw there was only one coin inside. "One yuan down, 29,999 to go."

Bolin was still a little downhearted, he was starting to think that maybe his older brother was right. Just then someone walks by and stops in front of him.

"For what it's worth, I thought that was a good performance." Said the stranger as he dropped some money into the cup.

Bolin looked up and saw a rather tall muscular man with blonde combed back hair, and blue eyes. He had a brown long sleeved jacket with brownish red gloves and blue padded pants with knee pads and brown boots. He had a large circular object covered by a sheet it was presumably his back pack.

"Oh you really think so thanks!" Bolin thanked. "Just wish other people saw that."

"Don't worry son sometimes people can't see talent even if it's right in front of them." The stranger said. "I wish you well with your performing friend." He then took his leave.

Bolin looked and saw in his cup money in the form of notes. "Whoa!" He said in surprise.

Just then the sound of a revving engine could be heard. Pulling up in front of the statue was a certain red hot rod with white wall tires. One used by a certain window went down to reveal a tanned skin man with a rather skinny looking face brown hair and neat white and blue clothes. The colour scheme indicated he was a Waterbender.

"Hey, Bolin. Is that you?" The gangster greeted.

"Oh, hey there, Shady Shin." Bolin greeted sadly dejected.

The man named Shady Shin got out of his car to greet his old associate. "Heard you're a big time pro-bending player now. Not bad."

Bolin felt a little humbled by that compliment. "Uh, thanks." He said scratching his head.

However there was a reason why Shady Shin had come to speak with him. "So listen. I got an offer for ya. Lightning Bolt Zolt is lookin' to hire some extra muscle."

Bolin didn't like the sound of that, he knew all too well about his past with the gangs of the city. So to hear this was a little concerning.

"Uh, I don't know, Shin. Mako told me to stay away from the Triple Threats." Bolin explained a little hesitant.

All Shin could do however was scoff at that. "Pfuh, your brother ain't the boss of you. It's just a little security work. Nothin' crooked." He explained reaching into his coat pocket for something.

Then out of nowhere he tosses a large pile of money into Bolins pot. He gasped out of amazement practically getting giddy with excitement to see this much money.

"You game?" Shin asked with a crooked smirk.

Watching from not too far away was the stranger who gave Bolin some money for Pabu's act. He had a look of concern, just by looking at this Shady Shin character he could see this meant trouble.

"Ah I don't like this one little bit." He said as he then went to an alleyway not too far from where he was. The blanket on his back peeled off slightly to reveal a certain red and white colour scheme on the item on his back.

Meanwhile:

Elsewhere in what looked like a power plant a line of Firebender shooting lightning out of their fingers were charging generators. They wore workman's clothing and welding masks on their faces. One of the Firebender's stopped producing lightning for one second then fired another shot.

Just then the whistle sounded ending todays shift. The firebender removed his welding mask to reveal it was Mako. He whipped his brow with exhaustion. He had found a job working at the plant in the hopes of earning a decent pay for the championship pot.

Pro Bending Arena:

As the sun set on another evening in the City and on the area. Mako entered one of the towers, and walked up the stairs into the attic. It was where he and his brother were staying.

"Bo, I'm back!" He called holding a bag he was carrying. "Picked up your favorite dumplings!"

He then just threw himself onto the couch by the windows, in exhaustion breathing out as he did. "Hey, I found some work down at the power plant. Made some decent money." He said reaching into the dumpling bag and ate one.

However there was still no sign of his younger brother or his Fire Ferret companion. "Bolin? You here, bro?" He called with his mouth full.

Still there was silence, he was beginning to wonder where Bolin might have disappeared to. Then a thought occurred. He looked out the window behind him which overlooked Air Temple island. It was then he had an idea of where Bolin may be, or rather who he went to visit.

"Huh, I bet the little lovebird is making a house call." Mako said striking as he went off to catch the ferry to the island.

Air Temple Island:

On Air Temple island in the room where Kamala and Korra had settled into, the young Avenger was hard at work. She was placing a newspaper clipping of an incident that took place at the Republic City Police station on her wall over her bed. She was adding it to a conspiracy board. Since hearing of Thor's possible presence in the city Kamala set to work trying to track him and possible the other Avengers. She looked through all of Tenzin's old newspapers and even bought some with her own money.

Strings and pins were connecting everything to the presence of Thor in the city, labeled 'nut calling himself the God of Thunder. Then there was another clipping of people reporting what looked like a man flying over the city made of gold. Which Kamala wondered could be a certain armoured billionaire.

Kamala looked over her notes and board trying to piece everything together. Just like before when she was looking for the Resistance.

"Come on guys. Where are you?" She wondered.

However her train of thought was suddenly interrupted. "Kamala."

She jumped in fright as she looked to see Jinora standing in the doorway. "Oh Jinora, sorry I..I didn't see you there."

"Sorry if I startled you." She said as she came into the room. She then noticed the conspiracy board. "Oh whats this."

"I'm trying to see if I can find my friends, but so far nothing." Kamala said.

"Well I'm sure you'll find them who knows maybe they're closer than you think?" Jinora said trying to cheer her up. "Me and Ikki were just going to train Korra at the spinning gates you want to come watch?"

Kamala took a breath as she realised she needed a break. "Yeah sure I could use a few minutes." So she followed the young Airbender out to the courtyard.

Soon Ikki and Jinora were using their air bending to spin the gates. Korra was on the other side and she charged into it. Only this time she was weaving and spiralling through them like an airbender.

"Good. Light on your feet!" Jinora called. Kamala could see her tactics worked and her friend was improving well. With hers and Tenzins combined teaching methods.

Korra soon emerged from the gates and rests her hands on her knees in exhaustion. "Nice Korra your getting better." Kamala complimented.

"Yeah thanks Kamala." Korra said panting.

"If Black Widow saw that I bet she'd be impressed too." Kamala said.

"Who's Black Widow?" Ikki asked.

"Oh she's one of my friends that I'm looking for." Kamala said as she looked through her phone to look for something until she found a video she was looking for. "Watch this." Kamala said getting the trio's attention. What they were watching was one of her recordings of Black Widow's training sessions.

Korra, Ikki and Jinora watched with interest. They watched as Widow leaped into the air and then spin kick an incoming practice drone then fired a stinger blast from one of her bracelets. Korra was completely enthralled by this, she hadn't seen someone battle like this before.

"Whoa! so awesome!" Kamala's voice shrieked from the recording.

The video ended with Widow then drawing her electro Tonfa's and then punched one drone to flip over it and caught its head between her legs to then flip it to the ground.

"Wow, she is good." Korra said impressed.

"Amazing, how is this picture moving?" Jinora said intrigued.

"Oh well its called a video, it's basically loads of moving pictures showing a recording of something that took place." Kamala explained.

"But how is that possible?" Jinora asked.

"Well where I'm from we have more advanced tech, like my phone for instance." Kamala explained.

"But its hasn't got a cord how is it a phone?" Ikki asked. Before Kamala had a chance to explain 21st century tech to the Airbending children. Jinora then noticed something, or rather someone.

"Ooh, he's cute." She said seeing Mako coming up the stairs to the courtyard. "Korra, is that the handsome firebender boy that drives you crazy?" Jinora then asked as Ikki jumped next to her for a better view.

Korra's eyes widened as she and Kamala then took notice of their team captain arriving at their humble abode.

"Does he drive you crazy in a bad way, or does he drive you crazy like you like him?" Ikki said a little teasingly much to Korra's glaring then used her earth bending to catapult them away.

Kamala couldn't help but snicker at that comment, to which the young Avatar shot glaring daggers in her direction. She then went to talk to Mako.

"Ahem. Oh. Hey, Mako." Korra greeted trying to act cool. Just as Ikki and Jinora landed with their Airbending giggling.

"Hi so what brings you to our corner of the woods?" Kamala then asked.

"You guys seen Bolin?" Mako said getting straight to business.

"Nice to see you, too." Korra said a little sarcastically.

"No we haven't seen Bolin since practice this morning." Kamala then said. "Why is something wrong?"

"I don't know." Mako replied shaking his head. "Bolin has a knack for getting into stupid situations. See you later." He said sighing as he left. However Korra and Kamala knew with the same expression on their faces if there was something wrong they had to help.

"Wait. I could, uh that is we could ... help you look for him." Korra said waving after Mako.

"Nah I got it." Mako declined but Kamala swung in front of him.

"Hey come on mr tall, cool and broody let us help you." Kamala insisted. "Besides Bolin's our friend too you know. That and I'm kind of an expert when it comes to getting stuck in stupid situations."

"She's right." Korra then agreed. "We can take Naga."

"Whos Naga?" Mako asked.

"My best friend. And a great tracker." Korra said.

"Yeah she is." Kamala agreed.

When Mako met Naga down near the ferry he was a little surprised. "Your best friend is a ... polar bear dog. Somehow, that makes perfect sense." He said seeing Korra pet her Polar Bear dog companion.

"I'll take that as a compliment City boy." Korra smirked but it was then Mako noticed the absence of a certain someone.

"Wheres Kamala?" He asked.

"Right here." Called a voice. Mako looked and saw Kamala in her Ms Marvel attire.

"Uh whats with the get up?" Mako asked a little confused. But then he recognised something about that suit from a newspaper. "Hold up, your the special Bender that arrived in the city with Korra?"

"You betcha city boy. Ms Marvel at your service." She bowed. "Gotta ask though how'd you know it was me?"

"Well the scarfs a dead give away." Mako pointed out. Ms Marvel just smirked impressed as they boarded the ferry and headed underway.

Once they arrived in the harbour they rode Naga through the city in the hopes of finding their missing friend. Ms Marvel sat behind Mako who sat behind soon arrived at the Central City station in front of the Fire Lord Zuko statue. Mako looked around at some of the people there but no sign of his brother.

"Well, this is his usual hangout." Mako explained as he dismounted the Polar Bear dog.

It was then Mako noticed a group of orphan kids playing near the statue. They were pushing each other around in their game. They were laughing and enjoying themselves.

"You guys seen my brother around here today?" Mako said getting the lead boys attention.

"Perhaps. My memory's a little …"foggy"" The boy said rubbing his nose and leaning casually. "Maybe you can help "clear it up"." He said in a hinting way.

Mako could see this kid was asking for a bribe. "You're good, Skoochy. Humph, a real pro." He said pulling out a Yuean bill from his pocket and handing it to Skoochy. Just as Korra and Ms Marvel appeared behind him.

"Yeah, I seen him." Skoochy replied.

"When?" Mako asked.

"About noon." Skoochy explained.

"What was he doing?" Mako then asked.

"H-he was performing some kind of monkey rat circus. And then …" Skoochy held his hand out again wanting anther bribe.

Ms Marvel just rolled her eyes at this. She was starting to see more of a resemblance between New York and Republic City. You want info, money talks.

Mako then paid Skoochy another Yeuan note for more info. "And then what? Why did he leave?"

Skoochy then leaned in closer to Mako with his hand to the side of his face. "Shady Shin showed up and flashed some serious cash. Bo took off with him in his hot rod."

If Mako wasn't worried about his younger brother before he was now. He knew what trouble the Triads were from his more…questionable past.

"Wait why would he take off with some gangster?" Ms Marvel asked.

"Beats me lady." Skoochy said. "But word on the street is The Triple Threats, The Red Monsoons, The Agni Kais. All the triads are muscling up for something real big." Skoochy said before he ran off. "Now that's all you're getting outta me!"

"What's he talking about?" Korra wondered.

Ms Marvel however knew what the little street kid was talking about. "Oh boy, I think this sounds like a turf war, and if theres one thing I've learned from a friendly neighbourhood friend of mine, they're never pretty."

"You're right." Mako said as he now looked a lot more serious. "And Bolin's about to get caught right in the middle of it."

Wasting no time the trio mounted Naga and hurried into the streets to try and find their friend. They had to wait at a railcar crossing, so as the rail cars can go by. Once they passed Naga pressed forwards with her riders.

"So where're we headed?" Korra asked the firebender.

"The Triple Threat Triad's headquarters. Hopefully Bolin's there and nothing's gone down yet." Mako explained to them.

Korra suddenly remembered where she heard that name before. "The Triple Threat Triad? Me and Kamala beat up some of those yahoos when we got into town."

"Yeah." Ms Marvel remembered the goons they stopped from harassing a shop keeper on their first day. "But hold on, one thing doesn't click, why would Bolin hang around a bad crowd like…"

Kamala was suddenly cut off when Naga surged forwards catching the riders by surprise. The Polar Bear Dog had seen something scurrying in the shadows.

"Whoa Naga!" Korra exclaimed trying to control her.

But Naga kept trying to catch the stray animal. When they reached a lamp post the animal scurried up the lamp post. The scurrying animal was actually a certain Fire Ferret that Mako, Korra and Ms Marvel recognised.

"Thats Pabu!" Mako exclaimed in surprise.

Naga tried to climb the post only for Korra to pull her back. "No Naga!" Ms Marvel then said. "Pabu's a friend not a snack."

Pabu then scurried back down the lamppost and slowly craned his neck out to the Polar Bear dog who in turn slowly approached him. They sniffed each other as their noses touched. The Fire Ferret could see she was friendly and scurried over her head and onto Mako's shoulders.

"Hey Pabu what are you doing all the way out here?" Ms Marvel asked cooing the little animal. Mako realised something was wrong he knew that Pabu was never far from his brothers side. If he wasn't with him, it only meant trouble.

"We gotta hurry!" Mako said urgently to which the girls nodded in agreement.

The group later arrived at the gangsters hideout, which was in a shady part of the city. The moon was illuminated behind the ever darkening clouds. The group dismounted Naga and went to take a look.

"It sure is quiet for a gang hideout." Ms Marvel observed.

Mako however was weary. "Something's not right." He said as he approached cautiously with the fire ferret still on his shoulder. "There're usually thugs posted out front. We better be cautious."

Mako snuck up to the door and signalled for the girls to come forwards. Korra approached and was ready to kick the door in. "Wait!" Ms Marvel said stopping her. "I have a better idea."

She then knelt down to the ground and looked at the gap between the floor and the door. "What are you doing?" Mako whispered.

"Look just…just don't freak out okay?" Ms Marvel explained a little nervous.

Mako was more confused than before. Why would he freak out? Korra already knew what Kamala was going to do, she too was a little worried.

Ms Marvel then put her hand close to the crack, then much to Mako's surprise and shock her hand flattened and went under the door. On the other side of the door her hand extended out, then started feeling around for the door handle. She soon found it and then twisted the lock below it. Then pulling down on the handle it opened the door, and Ms Marvel retracted her hand then slowly opened the door letting them in.

"How did…" Mako said surprised not sure what to make of this.

"Uh yeah she's a special kind of bender." Korra then explained.

They quietly entered the headquarters, only to find it was empty. The room itself was a complete mess furniture was broken and tossed around, almost as if a fight broke out. The group looked around for any trace of Bolin, but as Naga entered the room with Pabu in her saddle. There was no sign of him.

"Bolin? You in here?" Mako called out, but had no response.

Ms Marvel looked around the room, and it was then she noticed that something was wrong. "Guys somethings not right."

"Yeah Bolin's not here." Korra said.

"No I mean look at this place." Ms Marvel said. "It looks like the place has been completely ransacked."

Korra looked around the damaged state of the room as did started to see what she meant. "But then what could…"

Korra was suddenly interrupted by the sound of a revving engines coming from outside the building near the side charged through the door to the streets it was then the group saw a rather large truck being escorted by people with dark green, brownish red suits with gold tubes on their masks and bright green round lenses. Some of them were on bikes.

The bikers rode away from the area as the trucks rear doors were swaying around. Just then Ms Marvel caught sight of something which made her gasp.

"Mako look!" She exclaimed pointing and Mako saw in horror his brother Bolin was tied and gagged in the truck with the rest of the Triads. One of the masked men then shut the doors as Bolin moaned through his gag.

"Bolin!" Mako cried as the three ran after the escaping kidnappers.

Two of the bikers tossed two canisters at the incoming teenagers. They hit the floor and let loose a plume of green smoke temporarily blinding them. The bikers then roared away from the area.

The group choked and coughed as they emerged from the smoke. "Naga come!" Korra called.

Naga then arrived and the group quickly mounted her and set off in pursuit of the fleeing goons. However little did they know that a distance above them in the sky. Someone was watching them.

On the streets the truck and the fleeing bikers swerved to the left going down the next street. Naga and her riders were close behind them. Mako threw a couple of fire blasts towards the bikers who swerved out of the way to avoid them. Mako fired several more blasts of fire at the bikers but again missed.

"Korra give' em a roadblock!" Ms Marvel suggested.

"Read my mind." Korra then used her Earthbending to tear apart the road below the biker to try and trip up the wheel. However the Biker just used the rock ahead as a ramp flying through the air then landing on the other side.

As they were catching up they soon entered a large circle clearing in the buildings. Giving them more open room. As the truck and two of the bikers sped ahead five of them came to a swerving stop as one tossed from his belt a bola rope. Which tied round Nagas legs causing her to trip and fall. Her riders were catapulted off her back and hit the ground. Korra knelt up as Mako and Ms Marvel slid over to her.

The five masked people leaped over to them surrounding the three of them in a circle. Korra and Mako took up bending stances whilst Ms Marvel raised her fists.

Korra attacked letting loose a fire fist towards her opponent who flipped out of the way and ran towards the Avatar.

In close combat Korra tried throwing more fire blasts at her opponent who just slipped under her arms and fire attacks. Korra landed a spin fire kick only for her opponent to dodge it and move back. Korra kicked back only for the masked fighter to tangle her leg with his own then land several precise punches in her right arm. Korra groaned as she lost all feeling in her arm.

"Korra!" Ms Marvel exclaimed as she ran to help her only for a bola to tie round her legs and trip her up. She looked and saw her opponent running towards her. Acting quickly she slipped out of the tie and then when the masked fighter got close enough.

"Here let me give you a hand!" Ms Marvel enlarged her hand and slapped away her opponent who was caught completely off guard.

Korra down one arm let loose a leg fire swipe at her opponent who jumped in the air to dodge it. The Avatar leaped into the air and threw another fire fist, while Ms Marvel swung her stretched fists round like a mace and tried to swat her opponent who back flipped out of the way.

Mako was avoiding the attacks of two opponents letting loose his own fire fists. He received several punches to his right arm and tried to attack with a fire fist. His opponent then landed several punches to his leg and arm.

Korra received the same punches to her arm and leg causing her to trip to the ground. Mako was kicked to the ground as was Korra.

Naga growled as she tried to bite at the ropes to cut herself free. Ms Marvel was the only one still standing swiping her enlarged fists at her opponents. Only for one of them to deliver a series of punches to her right arm.

Ms Marvel growled as she lost all feeling in her arm. She saw her friends were at the mercy of these masked people. Mako had genuine fear in his eyes as did was the straw that broke Ms Marvels back as she gritted her teeth.

"Thats it!" She exclaimed. "EMBIGGGEN!" She yelled stretching out to a larger size surprising not just their attackers, but Korra and Mako as well. Naga and Pabu's jaws dropped.

Ms Marvel then slammed her fists straight into the ground sending shockwaves through the ground. Knocking the masked attackers on their quickly recovered and ran towards Ms Marvel and swung their bolas at her. Only for them to just tie on her hand instead of tying her up. Ms Marvel swung her fists at the attackers only for them to flip over her arms then one leaped onto her hand and ran up her arm. Only for her to then swat him away with her free hand.

It looked like she had them on the ropes. But then suddenly she was beginning to feel dizzy. "Uhh whats.. oh no. No no not now!" She groaned she was super size too long.

She began to sway and swing. The masked people took advantage of this moment of weakness, then tossed their bolas at Ms Marvels legs. They tied together and it caused her to trip and fall to the ground. Then she shrunk down back to normal size.

"Kamala!" Korra exclaimed. Now they were in deep trouble as they couldn't move. The masked people twirled their bola ropes at their venerable opponents.

Ms Marvel regained her consciousness seeing her friends helpless, she was too weak to do anything.

Just then they all heard a strange sound echo through the air. It sounded like yelling and loud clanging music. Korra and Mako heard this noise but wondered what it could be. Ms Marvel however recognised that sound all too well she looked with a hopeful smile.

(Music starts playing: Shoot to Thrill ACDC)

Suddenly crashing down from the sky and kneeling on the ground. When he stood up the smoke cleared and revealed in front of the venerable teenagers was none other than.

"IRON MAN!" Ms Marvel exclaimed.

Korra was rather taken aback at what her friend had said. Was this one of her Avenger friends she was talking about. Mako wasn't sure what to make of any of this.

"So, this a private party or can anyone join?" Iron Man said. The Masked peopled ran to attack but Iron man just blasted forwards with his jet boots and landed a punch to the middle attacker.

He quickly turned and fired a repulser blast at an incoming attacker. Turned and fired at the second attacker. Firing a double repulser attack at the third incoming attacker. One masked man managed to tie a bola round Iron Man's left gauntlet trying to pull him back. However that was a mistake.

"Nice try!" Iron Man then pulled on the rope then landed a punch to the masked attackers face.

Suddenly he heard a loud clunking sound from behind him. He turned round and saw one of the masked men trying to land the nerve punches on him. However he didn't account for the fact he was wearing an iron suit.

"OWWWW!" The masked man cried feeling his fingers were broken.

"Yeah, you're gonna have to do better than that." The Armoured Avenger cracked as he merely flicked his finger at the attacker.

He slid to the ground next to his comrades, they were about to attack again. When suddenly a loud roar spooked them. Naga leaped next to Iron Man and let out an almighty roar, Pabu then leaped down and let out a squeaking roar.

"So, any of you feeling lucky?" Iron Man asked as his right handed repulser glowed and a small missile launcher coming from his left arm. The five attackers knew they were outmatched so they dropped some smoke canisters letting loose a blast of green rode of on their bikes leaving the area.

(Music ends)

Naga and Pabu hurried to help their respective owners. Korra was helped to her feet by Naga, as Mako slowly got up.

Ms Marvel groaned as she tried to stand up. Iron Man then came over to help her up. "You alright Kamala?" He asked.

Then out of nowhere Ms Marvel just hugs the armoured Avenger round his waist. "Tony! Oh I've never been more happier to see you!" She cried.

Iron Man chuckled as he helmet and face plate retracted to reveal the face of Tony Stark. "Whoa, so does that make me your first favourite Avenger now?" He asked.

"Don't push your luck. Captain Marvels still number one." Ms Marvel cracked as she broke the hug.

"Uh Kamala." Said a voice she and Tony looked and saw Korra and Mako looking in surprise at their armoured saviour. "Who's your armoured friend?"

"Oh right, introductions." Ms Marvel remembered. "Uh Avatar Korra and Mako, Iron Man. Iron man, Avatar Korra and Mako."

"Iron Man?" Korra then realised. "Wait is this one of those Avengers you told me about?"

"Yep." Ms Marvel said before turning to Tony. "Its okay Mr. Stark they're with me."

"Hm well in that case thats okay by me." Tony said before offering a hand shake. "Names Tony Stark, friends call me Tony, but call sign Iron Man."

Korra accepted the handshake feeling the cold metal on her hand. "Yeah Kamala's told me a lot about you."

"Has she indeed?" Tony said with a suspecting eyebrow.

"Relax Tony I only told her the good stuff." Ms Marvel joked but then noticed the state of Tony's armour it looked a little scratched up. "Looks like your a little worse for ware."

"Okay is someone going to tell me whats going on here! First Kamala stretches and goes large and now a guy in a suit of armour?!" Mako exclaimed. "Just what is going on today!"

"Its uh long story Mako." Ms Marvel cringed then turning to Korra. "so you guys alright?"

The Avatar wasn't so sure of that question herself she thrusted her hand forwards to try and bend. However nothing happened. "Ugh, I can't bend." She gasped and tried again, but still no elements came. "I can't bend!" She nearly panicked.

"What how's that possible!" Ms Marvel exclaimed.

Mako however didn't seemed bothered by this. He knew what was the cause. "Calm down, it'll wear off. Those guys were chi blockers." he tightened his glove.

"What are Chi Blockers?" Ms Marvel asked.

"I've heard of them Katara told me about one she faced during the war. They're fighters that can somehow block the chi in benders preventing them from bending." Korra remembered.

"Wait so it's like Bending nerve strikes?" Ms Marvel asked.

"Yeah something like that." Mako explained.

Tony who was completely oblivious to the obvious was confused. "Uh guys I'm a little out of the loop here."

"Oh right, long story short, people here can bend the elements, fire, water, earth and air and Korra here can bend all of them cause she's the Avatar this bringer of balance." Ms Marvel explained gesturing to said Avatar. "Now we're trying to save Bolin this guys brother." She then pointed to Mako.

"Oh that actually makes a whole load of sense." Tony realised taking this all in. "So who were those uh Chi Blockers?"

"They're Amons henchmen." Mako explained.

Korra recognised the name as did Ms Marvel. "Amon? Anti-bending guy with a mask?" Korra said.

"I've heard of him too." Tony then said.

"Wait you have Mr Stark?" Ms Marvel wondered.

"Yeah out on the streets, that guys face pops up in some places on posters." Tony explained. "Must be competing with Dr Doom for creepy mask of the year." He then joked.

"That would be him." Mako said. "He's the leader of the Eaqualists."

"What do they want with the Triple Threats?" Korra wondered.

"Yeah I thought they were protesters? Not vigilantes?" Ms Marvel asked. "Guess they hate benders so much they would kidnap them."

"Whatever it is, can't be good." Mako wondered as he stared off in the direction the Equalists fled in. "Urgh, can't believe Bolin got himself into this mess!" He grunted in frustration.

"Mako." Korra said putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. "We are going to save your brother. I promise you that."

"Yeah and now Iron Man's here we have a greater chance." Ms Marvel said.

"Sure count me in." Tony said. Mako just looked a little unsure but could see their determination. He wasn't sure about the guy in the armoured suit but, what did they have to lose.

"Okay lets keep searching the city." Korra said.

"You guys take the ground I'll search from the air see if JARVIS can pick up anything." Tony said.

"Who's Jarvis?" Mako asked.

"That would be me." Called a voice.

"Whoa what the heck was that?" Korra asked.

Just then from the armours chest piece a small holographic orb appeared. Ms Marvel knew what or rather who it was. "JARVIS!" She greeted happily.

"Hello Ms Kahn. May I say I am glad to see you alive and well." JARVIS greeted.

"Uh Kamala who or what is that?" Korra asked.

"Oh Korra this is Jarvis, he's a talking computer who helps Tony on runs the suit." Ms Marvel explained.

"Oh uh.. hi there." Korra greeted.

"A pleasure to meet you Miss Korra." JARVIS greeted.

Mako was once again completely perplexed by what was happening. "At this point nothing else could surprise me." He said.

"Well lets not waist any more time." Tony said as his helmet reassembles and as the face plate closed he blasts off into the sky. Korra, Ms Marvel, Mako and Pabu mount Naga and continue their search.

As the hours went by the group searched and searched for any sign of Bolin or these Equalists. While Korra and the others searched below. Iron Man searched from above, scanning the city for any signs of the abductors using images his armours sensors recorded from the fight. However it was difficult given the lack of any satellites in the area he couldn't search any data basis or street cameras. He was a high tech man in a low tech world. Though it didn't stop him, he learned to adapt after a little voyage to the Savage lands with Cap and the others.

Eventually the night was fading fast and dawn was nearing. Naga was tired as was everyone else. Iron Man then glided down to the group and landed.

"Anything?" Ms Marvel asked.

"Nothing kid." Iron Man said dissapointed. "Gotta give these guys props they know how to cover their tracks, GAH I hate being stuck in a low tech situation."

For that comment he was greeted with a few glares from Korra and Mako while Pabu just slept on Mako's shoulder. Iron Man realised his mistake. "Oh right poor choice of words." He said grimacing in his helmet hud.

"We've been out all night No sign of him." Korra groaned rather tired.

"We've gotta keep looking. But where?" Mako wondered.

Everyone wasn't sure how to answer that. They had searched high and low with no sign of the lost Earthbender. Even JARVIS couldn't find anything. They were all out of leads. Then suddenly Ms Marvel remembered something.

"Wait!" She said getting everyones attention. "I think I have an idea, Korra take us to the park!"

Korra wondered why but then realised what she meant and so she steered Naga to face another direction and they rode off. Iron Man fired up his boosters and followed from close behind.

Later:

Soon they arrived at the city park. Naga and Pabu took a drink out of the water fountain whilst the Fire Ferret was on her nose. Korra, Ms Marvel and Mako sat at the fountain while Iron Man stood up.

"So why come here?" he then asked.

"Well the first day me and Korra arrived in the city we saw an Equalist protester." Ms Marvel explained.

"Thats right he was standing over there." Korra remembered as she pointed to the spot.

"And you think they'll know where Bolin is?" Mako wondered.

"Its our only lead right now." Korra said.

"Well anythings better than nothing kid." Iron Man said. "Whew but I could sure use some air. Jarvis canopy please." he then said.

"As you wish sir." JARVIS said. Then the suit opened up in the centre retracting the different parts to let Tony walk out of it. The suit then closed up again.

"Brrr, thats brisk." Tony shivered a little given he was wearing a black shirt, grey pants and sneakers. The faint glow of his arc reactor could be seen though the shirt.

Soon the kids and Tony were resting against Naga near a tree. While Pabu was asleep in her saddle. Naga slept too. The Iron Man suit was leaning against the tree deactivated so it could recharge. As the hours ran long Mako sat silently whilst Korra looked around. However there was something on her mind. So she decided to ask.

"So, why is Bolin running around with the Triple Threat Triad, anyway?" Korra asked.

"Yeah I didn't take Bolin as the gangster type?" Ms Marvel wondered as well.

Mako was a little uncomfortable discussing this particular topic. "Well, we ... we used to do some work for them back in the day." He said.

"WHAT!" The two girls said startling Tony a little.

"Oh of course so thats how you knew where their HQ was!" Ms Marvel realised.

"Wha- Are you some kind of criminal?" Korra said a little accusingly.

"No! You don't know what you're talking about." Mako said a little angrily. "I just ran numbers for them and stuff. We were orphans out on the street; I did what I had to do to survive and protect my little brother."

"Hey hey ease up kid. They didn't mean anything by it." Tony said trying to ease the situation.

Korra and Ms Marvel could feel a little bit of guilt by what they had just said. "I'm sorry. It must have been really hard." Korra said apologetically.

"Yeah, you did what you had to in order to survive." Ms Marvel understood. "That kind of thing happens back where I'm from too, doing questionable things but all so you could support a loved one."

There was a brief pause for a moment before Tony then spoke up. "So…what exactly happened to your parents kid?"

Mako was a little hesitant to answer but he decided that they should know. "They were mugged, by a firebender." He said with a sigh. "He cut them down right in front of me. I was eight."

Korra, Tony and Ms Marvel had consoling looks on their faces. The fact that he and Bolin lost their parents to a mugging when they were at a young age. In a way Tony could only sympathise.

"Mako.." Korra said in a consoling way.

"I..I'm so sorry." Ms Marvel added.

Mako just raised his scarf to his face in consoulment. "Bolin's the only family I have left. If anything happened to him…"

However at that moment he felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned to see it was that of Tony's. "Hey, nothing is gonna happen to your brother Mako, not if we have anything to say about it." This did help comfort the firebender in someway.

"For what it's worth I understand." Tony then said. "I lost both my parents too." That statement took Korra and Mako quite aback. "I was only eighteen, and well lets just say me and my dad didn't have the best of relationships, and last time I saw him it didn't end well. They were on their way to the airport and…they died in a car crash."

Mako honestly didn't know what to say about that. He only just met this stranger and now he was telling him he lost his own parents. He didn't know much of the story but he understood.

"I'm sorry." Mako said.

Needing to change the subject Ms Marvel had to ask something. "So Mr. Stark, what happened to you after that bright flash back at A.I.M's base?"

"Well thats a long story Kamala." Tony said.

"We've got nothing but time?" Ms Marvel said Korra was the only one who knew that Tony and Kamala were from an alternate universe. She would be lying if she wasn't curious too.

"Well after that Nornstone light show in Siberia…"

Flashback: A.I.M Base: Siberia:

The Nornstones in the portal exploded and the bright light explosion engulfs all the Avengers one by one. Suddenly in the sky over Republic City a portal of light appeared and Iron Man was toppling out of the sky and Tony struggled to reboot his systems.

He was too late to recover and crashed right into what looked like an old scrap yard. Iron Man crashed flat on his face. He turned over and retracted his face plate.

"I crashed in what looked like an old scrap yard." Tony explained. "Not the best of landings let me tell ya."

Tony emerged from his suit and surveyed his surroundings. He climbed up the pile of scrapped cars he saw the city before him. "So when I saw I was in some steampunk city I knew I was either in the past or another dimension. I tried to contact the others but the communication line was dead…"

Soon Tony was out of his armour and pulled it across the ground and later arrived at an old condemned building. He soon had the armour lying on the couch.

"Found an old rundown apartment, wasn't a hotel in Miami but it would do, so I spent some weeks scavenging for part and tools so I could make repairs to the armour… pretty hard to come by but I made do."

Tony was back in the scrap yard scavenging old cars for engine parts and even some electrical components he could re-use. Soon he was back in the condemned apartment putting together a hand made blowtorch. He began repairing the cracks on the armour and then made a make shift dynamo from a car car chassis and its wheels the engine revved as it charged the dynamo with electricity so he could charge the suit to get JARVIS working.

"Managed to charge the suit with a homemade dynamo and get JARVIS partially up and running… While I worked on repairing the suit he picked up a transmission from an Avengers ID card…"

Present day:

Ms Marvel gasped when she realised what he was talking about. "When I tried contacting them on the card, you..you got that transmission!"

"Yeah and used the signal from your ID card to triangulate your position, and thats how I found you kids, in the nick of time too." Tony answered.

"Wow, he's just as smart as you said Kamala." Korra said a little impressed.

"You…aren't really from the water tribe are you Kamala?" Mako guessed after hearing that story, and could guess that Kamala and Tony weren't like other people.

"Is it that obvious?" Ms Marvel said rubbing her neck shyly. "Listen I'll tell you everything when we find Bolin." She promised.

The Next Morning:

The morning sun shone through the canopy of the trees beaming past the leaves and branches. Under one of the trees the group were fast asleep. Ms Marvel cozied up against Naga while Tony sat sleeping against Naga's tail. The polymorph's eyes fluttered and looked to see Korra's head leaning on Mako's shoulder. She couldn't help but smirk mischievously at that.

"Equality now! Equality now! We want equality now!" Called a familiar loud got her attention.

She quickly shook Korra's shoulder. "Korra, Korra wake up!" She urged.

Slowly Korra woke up as did Mako. The two looked at each other and saw how close they were to each other. The Avatar jumped away in fright which startled Tony and Pabu as they woke up.

"I-I ... er ... eheh, humn, hmmehem." Korra stuttered rather embarrassed. While Mako just stared back at her.

Tony looked with a confused expression. "Uh have I missed something?"

"Guys!" Ms Marvel pointed their attention to a certain protester who was now yelling out his propaganda.

"That's the guy." Korra realised as they went towards the stand standing up from the ground.

"Nonbenders of Republic City Amon calls you to action! Take back your city! It's time for the …" The Protester was suddenly interrupted when he saw two familiar faces approach his stand.

"Hey pal remember us?" Ms Marvel asked.

"It's you two again! You cannot silence me, Avatar! Nor can your bending opposing friend." The Protester exclaimed through his loud halyer.

Ms Marvel just felt an offence to that. Korra just scowled at the fact this guy just insulted her friend. So she swatted away his megaphone. Which shattered to bits upon hitting the ground.

"Shut your yapper and listen up." Korra said getting his attention. "My friend got kidnapped by some chi blockers. Where'd they take him?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about." The protester merely denied.

Korra wasn't having it though. "Oh, I think you do." With that she slammed her foot on the ground which bent the pavement below the table sending it flying into the sky with leaflets falling all over the place.

"Well thats one way to get a message across." Tony said. He then caught one of the leaflets as it fell to the ground while the protesters picked them up off the ground.

Tony took a look at one of the flyers. It was written in chinese with the illustrated appearance of the Equalist leader himself. Mako took a look and saw what it read.

""Witness the Revelation tonight, nine o' clock"." Mako read out loud.

"Hey pal whats this Revelation?" Tony asked.

"Why are you a bender?" The Protester asked.

"No I'm not but they are." Tony simply replied gesturing to them.

"What!" He exclaimed. "Why are you conspiring with the likes of them! They're our oppressors! So its none of your concern!"

Ms Marvel then enlarged her hand and grabbed him in her hand. "Actually it does! Especially when an innocent life is at stake now where's this Revelation?" Ms Marvel asked.

The Protester was completely startled by this girls bending. "What! What kind of bending is this! Y…your a bending freak!"

At that word Ms Marvel just froze in shock with her pupils shrunk. She let go of the protester as she backs away and her hands shaking. Korra was now angry at what he said to her friend. Tony was just as angry about this.

Korra proceeded to grab the protester by the shirt and yanked him into the air. "HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO MY FRIEND LIKE THAT!" She exclaimed. "Now spill it!"

"No one knows what the Revelation is!" The Protester said he was more intimidated than before. Before he turned arrogant. "And I have no idea what happened to your friend. But if he's a bender, then my bet is he's getting what's coming to him."

"Not the smartest thing to say to a seriously ticked off girl. Trust me." Tony said. "So how about you just tell us where this is going down and we'll leave you to shout."

"I'm not telling the likes of you traitor!" The protester exclaimed.

"Depends on where your standing." Tony simply said.

"Where's it happening?" Mako demanded. However they were suddenly cut off by the blowing of a police whistle. The group turned and saw the park officer at a distance.

"Hey! What's going on over there?" The officer called.

"The Avatar and her cronies are oppressing us. Help!" The Protester cried.

Korra simply tossed the protester away quickly. "Lets scram!" She said.

"Took the words right out of my mouth!" Ms Marvel said as she and Korra quickly ran away with Tony close behind as he quickly extended out his hand and from afar his armour disassembled and flew towards him and armoured him up.

Mako quickly picked up some of the flyers before the three teens quickly mounted Naga and rode away. As Iron Man flew after them. The park police man ran out of breath trying to catch them. The protester was all in shock after seeing the armoured Avenger.

Later the group were at a bench at a railcar stop that was under a rail bridge. Korra sat on the bench looking at one of the leaflets, Ms Marvel sat next to her with her knees crouched up to her face. While Tony and Mako were on the floor looking at the leaflets the young Firebender was able to grab from the floor.

"Gee is everyone in this town as cheery as that guy?" Tony asked.

"Nope just him." Korra said, but couldn't help but notice that Ms Marvel had been silent since the incident in the park. She had a rather distressed look.

"Kamala?" She said which did startle the young Avenger a bit. "You okay?"

"Yeah I..I'm fine." Ms Marvel denied, though something was defiantly wrong. Tony knew what was wrong but it wasn't his place to say. "So any idea where this Revelation could be?"

Korra looked over the leaflet she was holding and realised there was nothing there. Nothing but lines on the back. "Why didn't the Equalists put a location on these?"

"Probably because they don't want just anyone waltzing in to their big"Revelation"," Mako said. "Whatever that is."

"Sounds super secret if they went to the trouble of making sure no one knows where it is." Tony said.

"So why the flyers? Why bother to tell people about this if theres no hint of where it is?" Ms Marvel wondered.

"I don't know." Mako wondered but had an idea. "I bet the information is hidden on here somehow. Look at the backs." Mako said as he took some of the leaflets and put them on their backs to show what looked like lines. One of them had a red dot. "There's four different images."

Tony took a closer look at the images, and when he did he noticed something. He knelt down and looked closers picking one up.

"You know Mako you might just be onto something take a look at the lines." He pointed to them. "What do those look like to you?"

Mako looked closer at the images and put two of them together. Korra and Ms Marvel began to see a pattern. "So, it's a puzzle?" She said smiling.

"Yeah, of a map!" Mako realised.

"OH OF COURSE!" Ms Marvel exclaimed slapping her forehead. "The best way to hide a secret meeting place is in plain sight! Thats classic villain logic!"

Tony's helmet then formed over his head and as the face plate dropped he activated his hud screen. "Jarvis, take a scan of these sheets and have them as a holo scan."

Just then blue beams emerged from Iron Mans eyes scanning the pieces of paper to then rise as holograms. "Holographic renders complete sir."

"How the heck did he do that?" Mako questioned. Ms Marvel just gave an impressed smile having seen this before.

Iron Man then noticed a map on the hut wall. "Now, compare them to this map and see if we have a match." He then said.

"Yes sir." JARVIS replied. The holograms of the flyers then flew over to the map which then extended over it and they were shrunk down to the wall maps size. They were placed over multiple areas. Korra, Mako and Ms Marvel watched with interest.

Just then as the holo map landed on the lower area near the bridge it lit up. " I believe I have pinpointed a match close to a bridge landmark." JARVIS reported.

"That must be where it's going down!" Mako realised.

"And thats where we'll find Bolin." Ms Marvel agreed as the group smiled at each other confidently. They knew exactly what to do next.

Later that night:

Night fell, and a lot of people were gathering at what looked like an old abandoned factory complex. This was the meeting place for this Equalist rally.

From the cover if a dark alleyway. Mako, Korra, Kamala and Tony watched from afar. They were wearing old clothes to disguise themselves. Korra had a long coat and Makos scarf to hide her water tribe clothes. Kamala had the same but tied her hair back in a small bun to not get recognised. Tony wore a simple jacket with an old red undercoat with his normal black pants and shoes. Mako was wearing his normal clothes but rolled down his sleeves.

"This is the place." Mako said as he put on a flap cap to complete his disguise. Korra put on a white Bobbi hat while Kamala tied her scarf round her head. Tony placed a similar flat cap on his head.

He then activated the com link in his ear. "Jarvis, you're our eyes in the sky maintain radio silence unless nessecary." He said.

"Very well sir. But tread with caution." JARVIS relayed. High in the sky was the Iron Man suit which took cover in the cloud bank. The AI butler had assumed control to aid his allies.

The group slowly approached the building which had a rather large looking bouncer at the door. It seemed like he was taking invitations at the door. As they walked Korra took hold of Mako's arm which took him by surprise.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"We'll attract less attention this way." Korra whispered.

"She's right, Black Widow undercover rule one never draw attention to yourself." Kamala agreed.

"Really I always thought it was when on the run don't run walk?" Tony said never really listing any of Natasha's stealth spy tricks.

Soon they arrived at the door and were greeted by the doorman. "This is a private event. No one gets in without an invitation." He said arms crossed.

"Uh Invitation?" Korra said a little nervous. The Doorman looked a little suspicious.

"You mean this?" Mako asked holding up one of the leaflets. Kamala then did the same for her and Tony.

The door man took the leaflet and then stepped aside. "The Revelation is upon us, my brothers and sisters."

"Uh yeah hail the Revelation." Kamala said encouragingly.

They entered the factory and after passing what looked like the remains of old boilers they arrived at an overlook of the stage area. Mako was more than surprised as was Korra, Kamala and Tony.

"Whoa." Kamala said trembling a little.

"I knew a lot of people hated benders, but I've never seen so many in one place." He said looking at the thousands of people gathered at the event before the stage."Keep your eyes out for Bolin."

"Jarvis, run a scan of the building I want to know who and what are in here, but be ready." Tony said quietly in his earpiece.

"Of course sir." JARVIS understood.

The group then headed down and worked their way through the crowds of people. Suddenly the spotlights on the stage fired up.

"Please welcome your hero, your savior, Amon!" The announcer announced.

Out of the floor of the stage appeared a hatch which revealed a beam of light from the from it was Amon himself and behind him standing in a line were five chi blockers and another man who was his lieutenant.

The spotlights shone on them showing Amon's masked face. Korra looked and her eyes couldn't help but tremble in surprise. Amon stepped forward to the microphone on the stage as he addressed his supporters. Who all but cheered and praised their supposed saviour.

"My quest for equality began many years ago." He began. "When I was a boy, my family and I lived on a small farm. We weren't rich, and none of us were benders." The crowd listened closely.

"This made us very easy targets for the firebender who extorted my father." Amon continued walking to the right of the stage. "One day, my father confronted this man, but when he did, that firebender took my family from me. Then, he took my face."

The crowd gasped in horror. "I've been forced to hide behind a mask ever since."

Korra, Mako, Kamala and Tony exchanged quizzed glances with each other at hearing this story. To Kamala and Tony this guy sounded like Doctor Dooms long lost cousin. They turned their attention back to Amon.

"As you know, the Avatar has recently arrived in Republic City." Amon then addressed his crowed which all but received nothing but boos and hisses at the sound of her name.

Korra in response hit her face behind Mako's scarf and Kamala stood next to her in support as did Mako and Tony.

"And if she were here, she would tell you that bending brings balance to the world." Amon continued "But, she is wrong. The only thing bending has brought to the world, is suffering. It has been the cause of every war in every era." He pointed to the crowd. Korra just had a look of anger on her face, but he wasn't done yet.

"Then theres this special bending companion of hers." Amon spoke, Kamala's eyes shrunk knowing he was talking about her. "The one calling herself Ms Marvel, she claims she's unique from the southern tribes, but that is a lie, she's not unique she's just like the rest causing nothing but suffering and is a perversion to not just benders but non benders as well."

Kamala just shook trembling at that to her this was just the newsreels from A-Day all over again. Korra could see how this affected her and held her hand in support. Tony placed a supportive hand on her shoulder too glaring at the on who was judging her.

"But that is about to change." Amon then said which immediately got the groups attention.

"I know you have been wondering, "What is the Revelation?" You are about to get your answer." Amon announced. Which brought about a look of worry among Korra and the others.

"Since the beginning of time, the spirits have acted as guardians of our world, and they have spoken to me." Amon explained. "They say the Avatar has failed humanity." Korra's eye just twitched in anger she was ready to lose it.

"That is why the spirits have chosen me to usher in a new era of balance. They have granted me a power that will make Equality a reality. The power to take a person's bending away. Permanently."

Korra's eyes widened in horror as did Kamala's and Mako's. "What!" Kamala gasped in horror. "C..can some people do that?"

"Thats..That's impossible. There's no way." Korra answered looking at Mako.

"This guys crazier than Monica, and thats saying something." Tony whispered.

"Forget crazy, he's insane." Mako said to them.

"Its gotta be a scam." Kamala said hoping and praying it was. Her answer would come sooner than expected.

"Now, for a demonstration." Amon then gesturing to some people tied up. One of which was dressed in red and gold with grey hair. He was shoved next to Amon as he spoke. "Please welcome, Lightning Bolt Zolt. Leader of the Triple Threat Triad, and one of the most notorious criminals in Republic City."

The crowd all but booed at this crime lord as he stood retrained on the stage. This all but annoyed Zolt. "Ah, boo yourself!"

Other members of the tried were tied up and forced to the floor by the Chi Blockers. Two of them were Shady Shin and at the end of the line, was Bolin. He looked absolutely petrified.

"Theres Bolin!" Korra said and was about to jump in and get Tony stopped her by grabbing her arm.

"Hold it there tiger." Tony said. "We can't jump in fists blazing."

"He's right, we can't fight them all. We need to be smart about this." Mako agreed.

"Then come up with a game plan. Team Captain." Korra said through her teeth.

"Wow is she always this cheery?" Tony asked Kamala who just shushed him. She was more focused on Amons demonstration.

"Zolt has amassed a fortune by extorting and abusing nonbenders." Amon spoke. "But his reign of terror is about to come to an end." The Lieutenant untied the Triad leaders bonds. "Now, in the interest of fairness I will give Zolt the chance to fight to keep his bending."

True to his word Amon stood opposite to his captive who just stumbled away from the Lieutenant and faced the masked man. However the Triad leader just smirked.

"You're gonna regret doing that, pal." Zolt said arrogantly as he fired a fire blast towards Amon who all but dodged it, and the others that followed as he ran towards him.

Zolt then bended lightning in his direction but much to his surprise Amon was fast enough to dodge even lightning. Watching this Tony was completely awe-stricken, he'd seen Inhumans with similar fire powers but never with lightning at the same time.

"Incredible, under different circumstances I'd be impressed." Tony said in awe. "Bruce would be giggling right about now."

"Not the time and place Mr Stark." Kamala reminded.

"I know kid I know." Tony said.

Amon then swiftly grabbed Zolt by the wrist and twisted it in the air causing the lightning to spin out of control and knock out one of the lights. Amon grabbed him by the back of his neck then placed his thumb down on his forehead. Zolts pupils shrunk in watched from the ever glowing light of the lightning in interest and puzzlement. The lightning died down and turned into a blast of fire that shortly died soon after.

Amon then released his test subject who just fell to the ground flat on his face. Everyone chatted and talked among themselves. Zolt soon got up but was still weak. He saw Amon and tried bending at him. But he couldn't no fire came what so ever. The audience gasped.

"Wha ... what did you do to me?" Zolt said in complete and utter shock.

"Your firebending is gone. Forever." Amon announced much to the gasping crowd. Korra and Kamala looked with worried faces. If they weren't shocked before they certainly were now. It was safe to say this was no hoax.

"The era of bending is over. A new era of Equality has begun!" Amon declared receiving cheers and praise from the crowd.

The Chi blockers then brought up and untied their masters next victim. It was Shady Shin which made Bolin even more terrified.

"Please tell me one of you has an idea." Kamala asked hopefully.

"I think so, see those machines?" Mako then drew their attention to a series of pipes and machines on the left hand wall. "They're powered by water and steam."

"And where theres water and steam theres a boiler and piping to funnel it through." Tony instantly guessed.

"Very astute sir, as Master Mako surmised they are steam pipes and water valves." JARVIS then said on the coms. "An initial scan of the building confirms theres a main boiler unit at the far end of the room, behind the stage."

"In the right hands it make a pretty effective smoke screen." Kamala then guessed.

"Quite so Miss Kahn." JARVIS confirmed.

"Then thats our plan." Mako then decided turning to Korra. "Korra if you create some cover, Tony and I can grab Bolin without anyone seeing. Then, we duck out of here."

"Works for me." Korra agreed.

"I'll go with you, you'll need someone watching your back." Kamala then suggested to which her friend nodded.

Mako was about to head closer to the stage until Korra stopped him with her hand on his shoulder. "Mako. Good luck."

"You too." Mako said as they shared a hand shake as they all headed off in their respective tasks.

"Jarvis be ready to jump in, I've got a feeling we'll need a fast exit." Tony then said on the comlink.

"By your word sir." JARVIS Replied.

Korra and Kamala discreetly made their way through the appreciative crowd. Towards a side exit, when they were in the clear they ran for it. They went through a hallway and arrived at what looked like the main boiler for the building.

There was a series of pipes wheels and gages. "Give me a hand." Korra said to Kamala and they both turned the largest wheel on the pipe to the left. It was old and rusted but with the right force it turned. Steam then leaked from the pipe seals.

However it wasn't a lot of steam. "It's not enough." She whispered to Kamala.

"Lets try this." Kamala then kneeled down and turned a smaller valve release wheel and it generated another small steam leak.

"Hey, you!" Called a voice which turned Korra and Kamala's attention to the doorman who had just arrived on the scene.

Back in the crowds Tony and Mako pushed their way through to reach the front of the stage. Amon had just "Clensed" Shady Shin of his Bending, and a Chi Blocker picked up the next victim who was next to Bolin. Who was now more scared as he was the last one.

Back at the boiler the Doorman eyed Kamala and the disguised Avatar rather suspiciously. "Is there a problem, my brother?" Korra asked.

"What are you two doing back here?" The Doorman asked.

"Uh…looking for the bathroom." Kamala said as she and her friend put on an innocent smile.

However the Doorman didn't buy that story, and in response raised a wrench in his hand as a weapon. The two girls knew that there was no need for discretion now.

The Doorman twirled the wrench and swung it at the two girls who quickly dodged out of the way to avoid the strikes. He tried to hit them again but hit a pipe. Kamala looked and saw the steam was getting out quicker. This gave her an idea.

"Hey fatso!" She called getting his attention. "Come and get some!"

The Doorman lunged at Kamala only for her to duck and he hit one of the pipes instead. Korra began to see what her friend was trying to do and joined in.

Mako and Tony reached the front of the crowds as Amon had taken the bending of another victim. Mako knew his brother would be next and grew impatient.

"Come on." He gritted his teeth.

"Hey don't give up yet they'll pull through." Tony assured and hoped that they would.

The doorman tried to strike Korra again but missed and hit yet another pipe. She had lost her hat then quickly used Mako's scarf to tie around the doorman's arm holding the wrench then Kamala swung in her enlarged fist and slammed him into the boiler itself smashing the pipes of their hinges producing loads of steam.

"Enough hot air for you?" Kamala smirked.

"Thanks. This should be enough." Korra thanked.

"Yeah!" Kamala said offering her friend a fist bump. However Korra didn't understand what it meant.

"Uh what?" She asked.

Kamala could see she couldn't understand the meaning. "Oh right this is a fist bump its how we celebrate things back in New York."

The Avatar seemed to understand it so she put up her own fist and bumped it against Kamala's. She produced a smile on her face. "Nice I like it." She said.

Back on the stage Bolin was in big trouble, now it was his turn to face Amon. The Chi Blocker untied him and pushed him onto the stage just as the triad member fell to Amon's feet. The masked man then turned his attention to the young Earthbender who was scared.

"Uh, hello, Amon, sir. I think there's been a big misunderstanding." Bolin tried with a bit of a goofy smile. However the Equalist leader just approached him and Bolin backed away in fear.

Back in the boiler room Korra began bending the steam around her with her water bending. Kamala had removed her long coat to reveal her Ms Marvel outfit and placed her mask back on. With one swipe of her hand Korra bent an almighty blast of steam at the machine.

On the stage the machine exploded in a great cloud of steam catching Bolin and everyone in the room completely by and Mako knew their friends and team-mates had succeeded.

"There she blows." Tony said.

The crowds began to cry in panic as the steam cloud completely flooded the room. Many screamed trying to run away from the incoming cloud. Amon meanwhile merely disappeared into the smoke.

Bolin was slightly relieved. However it was replaced by fear when a Chi blocker caught him from behind. However help was at hand as his Firebending brother grabbed him and tossed the Chi Blocker away to the side.

"Bolin you alright?" Mako asked turning to his brother.

"Yes! Mako! I love you!" Bolin said in great relief. Not even noticing Tony. However the reunion was cut short by the arrival of more chi blockers.

"Jarvis!" Tony called on the coms. Then suddenly crashing through the roof was the Iron Man suit which startled the Equalists and Bolin.

Tony tossed away his coat as the armour turned to face him then opened up. Tony stepped inside and it sealed up around him. "Mako take your brother and get out of here I'll deal with them!" He then instructed.

"Whoa who the heck are you?!" Bolin asked.

Tony just smirked at that question. "I am Iron Man." His face plate then lowered as he turned to face the Chi Blockers. "Now go!"

Mako wasted no time grabbing his brother and fled in the steam. Iron Man was surrounded by the Chi blockers.

"Okay guys I know you want to get the word out but when you kidnap people thats where I draw the line." Iron Man said.

The Chi Blockers then charged at the armoured Avenger who in response charged his uni beam and released a massive blast upon them.

Meanwhile:

Outside the factory, Mako and Bolin charged down the door and hurried outside as the steam poured out. They started climbing down the ladder. Bolin went first and Mako followed.

However they were being followed by the Lieutenant, who ran out of the door and looked down on the two benders climbing down the ladder.

Mako looked up to the Equalist Lieutenant who twirled his batons and jammed them into the ladder which suddenly sent out a massive electric shock. Shocking the two brothers who cried in go of the ladder and falling on their backs.

The Lieutenant leaped off the ladder and electrified his batons. The brothers quickly rolled out of the way before the shock met the ground.

The brothers took up their respective bending stances to fight their launched a fire fist and the Lieutenant dodged then charged at Mako first batons surging with electricity. He swung at him but missed. Mako tried to dodge his attacks but was quickly punched to the ground.

The Lieutenant then directed his attention towards Bolin. Who flipped towards him bending a piece of pavement and tossed it towards his opponent but missed. Quickly he stomped on the ground and tossed another bit of the pavement at him but again the Lieutenant dodged it by flipping to the side.

As he charged Bolin quickly formed an earthbending wall between them. But the Lieutenant merely leaped over it and landed several electrified strikes on the Earthbender before he jabbed him with his batons. Bolin cried out in pain from the electricity and he fell to the ground.

Mako emerged from behind the wall and threw a fire kick to his opponent who dodged it. The Firebender attacked again but the Lieutenant dodged it and rolled to the side as the wall collapsed. He lunged forwards deflecting all the fire strikes from Mako as he swung his electrified Batons. Backing Mako up to the wall before landing a final electric jab. Mako cried in pain from the shock then collapsed to the floor himself.

The Lieutenant then stood over his defeated opponents. "You benders need to understand, there's no place in the world for you anymore." He simply said.

He charged his Batons ready to deliver a final blow to Mako. But then suddenly.

"HEY!" The Lieutenant turned and then slamming into him was a certain stars and striped shield which bounced off him sending him crashing to the ground. It then returned to its owner who emerged from the fog in the street.

It was Captain America, who had been following these masked people since the following night in an attempt to find the missing earth bender. "Leave those kids alone." He addressed the Lieutenant.

The Lieutenant had recovered to see this masked stranger in blue white and red, with a rounded shield. Mako had just regained consciousness and saw the stranger as well.

"This night keeps getting crazier and crazier." He muttered.

"And just who are you!?" The Lieutenant demanded.

"Someone who doesn't tolerate bullies." Cap addressed as he approached. "You know the last time I was in a back street, and saw a man opposing those weaker than him. We ended up disagreeing."

"Then you clearly don't understand, I am merely standing up to those who oppose us." The Lieutenant addressed. "Your clearly a non bender so why stand up to the likes of them!"

Cap however saw all too differently, he didn't know much about these Equalist's after listening in on Amons speech. But he knew their intentions were not pure.

"When someone threatens people and calls it standing for whats right, but in the end your just looking in a cracked mirror." Cap answered. "Now stand down you're done here."

However the Lieutenant wasn't having it. "Fine if your with them! Your against us!" He charged his batons and lunged at the super solider who stood ready.

His opponent leaped into the air and tried to shock him with his Baton but Cap was quick to block his attack with his shield then swat him away. The Lieutenant quickly recovered and attacked again slashing his batons at the super solider who dodged his attacks then made several kicks pushing him back.

The Lieutenant then managed to strike Captain America in the ribs with his electric baton which did shock him causing him to cringe he received another strike pushing him back. However to the Lieutanants surprise he quickly recovered.

"Nice strike son, but close only counts in horseshoes." He said standing up much to his opponents surprised expression.

"H..how is that possible?!" He stuttered.

"Insulated armour." Cap said.

The Lieutenant growled as he charged at the captain who managed to leap to the side then tossed his shield which hit his opponent dead in the chest knocking him back. Cap landed on the ground and caught his shield to then throw it again. This time though the Lieutenant delivered an uppercut strike with his batons knocking back the shield in mid flight and hit the ground.

This bought him the opening he needed. He slashed his charged batons at the super soldier who dodged them then threw several hook punches at his face and landed a punch to the chest. Cap then dived for his shield and as the Lieutenant turned to strike him. Cap delivered a swing and slammed his shield right into his face knocking him to the ground.

Cap stood up as he looked down on his downed opponent. "I could do this all day." He panted.

The Lieutenant was about to get up, when suddenly he was blasted right into the wall by an energy blast. Then landing in on the scene was Iron Man. He then noticed his old friend.

"You always have to use that line huh Steve?" Iron Man cracked.

"Nice to see you too Tony." Cap said shaking his head.

"Cap!" Called a voice and they turned to see Ms Marvel and Korra arriving on the scene. Korra could see this had to be another of these Avengers given the photos she'd seen on Kamala's phone.

"Let me guess another friend of yours?" Korra asked.

Just then however they heard the sounds of approaching Chi Blockers heading their way. The war veteran knew this wasn't the time for explanations.

"Maybe we should take this explanation elsewhere." Cap suggested.

Without further delay Korra whistled through her fingers. "Naga!" She called.

Then running round the corner was said Polar Bear Dog running towards them. Korra and Ms Marvel helped Mako to his feet. Just as the Chi Blockers were pouring out of the building Iron Man helped Bolin to his feet just as Korra, Mako, Ms Marvel and Captain America mounted the Polar Bear Dog.

"You okay kid?" Iron man asked.

"Uh yeah but.." "Then hold on." Iron Man interrupted as he grabbed Bolin by his waist.

"Wuh?!" Before Bolin could answer he screamed as the Armoured Avenger rocketed into the sky with him. In the air Bolin screamed as he was high in the air. "NO. STOP. I WANT. TO. BE. ON THE GROUND!" He cried.

"Sorry kid now enjoy the complimentary free flight." Iron Man said. Far below Naga with her passengers in tow rode away from the area as fast as she could.

"The Avatar. That's her!" The Lieutenant cried as he and his fellow Equalists were about to run after them.

"Let her go." Called a voice and they looked to see Amon on the balcony of the building. "She's the perfect messenger to tell the city of my power."

"But Amon, what about the other two? The armoured one and the one with the 're non benders but I've never seen anyone like them before?"

"Indeed Lieutenant, but should they side with the Avatar, then they are our enemies." Amon declared. "If they stand in our way… we shall deal with them."

Later:

Soon once they were far enough away from the rally. The escaping Avengers and Benders stopped just outside the Probending Arena. Now Kamala had a lot of explaining to do. So she told Mako and Bolin the whole story, to say they were surprised was an understatement.

"Okay okay so let me get this straight!" Bolin said waving his hands. "Kamala, your not a bender but someone from an alternate dimension, same as these guys?" He gestured to Cap and Tony. "You got your bending through some blue crystal turned gas and got here through some bright like where Korra found you in the south pole and you've been laying low ever since!"

"Yeah thats pretty much the whole story." Kamala said rubbing her neck with her mask off her face. But then hung her head down in guilt. "Look guys I… I didn't want you to know the truth about me or that I was Inhuman. Not until I could trust you." She explained hoping her friends wouldn't hate her.

"What?" Bolin gasped in surprise. "Okay why the heck would you ever want to hide those awesome powers?! I knew I had a good feeling about you from the start."

"He's right Kamala, if it wasn't for you or your powers we would've been at the mercy of Amon makes you okay by me." Mako agreed with a hand on her shoulder. "Don't be ashamed of who you are."

Kamala gave a warm smile knowing the boys understood. Mako then turned his attention to his brother and swatted him across the head.

"Now what were you thinking Bolin!" Mako then scolded his brother. "Running around with the Triple Threats, getting caught by the Equalists and nearly lose your bending! I told you we were done with that life!"

"Geeze Mako I'm sorry I..I just wanted to help raise money for the Championship pot." Bolin explained. "I was just having Pabu perform tricks when Shin showed up with loads of cash, it was only going to be the one time."

"Yeah well that one time could've gotten you killed!" Mako exclaimed.

"I..I just wanted to help for one bro! You've always been the one who helps me I just wanted to step up and help you for once." Bolin explained to his brother. "But I guess that was stupid."

Mako could see his brother genuinely felt regret for his actions. He placed a hand on his shoulder as he looked at him.

"That doesn't matter little bro, your safe now thats all that matters. Whatever troubles we face we'll get through it, together." Mako said to him. "But not with the Triads, I made a promise we were done with that, I practically promised on our parents graves to keep you safe. Thats what brothers do."

"AH thanks Mako your always the bigger man!" Bolin said as he hugged his brother tightly.

Kamala and Korra were warmed by this heartwarming scene. The young Avenger simply took a snapshot on her phone, one for the album.

The brothers then turned their attention to the super solider who'd saved them from the Lieutenant. "Hey listen, thanks for saving our butts back there."

"No need to thank me son, just helping people who needed help." Cap said as he removed his helmet and revealed his face. One that Bolin instantly recognised.

"Hey! It's you the guy from the other day who tipped me for Pabu's act?!" Bolin gasped.

"Good to see you too." Steve said before offering a handshake to the two brothers. "Steve Rogers, codename Captain America."

The two brothers accepted the friendly handshake, and then Korra came up to the living legend. "So your this living legend Kamala's told me so much about." She said. "I'm Korra, I'm the Avatar."

"A pleasure." Steve accepted the handshake. "I've heard a lot about you on the radio. Glad to see Kamala found a strong friend to look out for her."

"Hey what makes you so sure I haven't been watching out for her?" Kamala questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"OOOH She's got you there Rogers." Tony cracked.

Steve could only shake his head smiling. Kamala then approached her fellow Avenger and hero.

"Cap what happened to you and how did you find us at Amon's rally?" She asked.

"Well, after what happened in Siberia. I woke up here in the city." Cap explained. "I wasn't sure what happened to the others so I had to blend in until I could locate them. I heard over the radio about this Avatar and how you were with her Kamala. After doing some research I learned a bit more about this world, the war, benders and of the Avatar."

The group listened to Captain America's story intently. "Then some days later after seeing Bolin go with that guy in the hotrod I got a little suspicious." He continued. "I was tracking them for a while before they were ambushed by those masked people. I tried to follow them back to their base but lost them. It wasn't until I heard about some revelation happening at the abandoned factory that night, and well I believe you know the rest."

The Captain had finished his story awaiting the groups response. "Well its a good thing you showed up when you did." Kamala said.

"Yeah, come on we..we better get back to the island, Tenzin's probably worried sick." Korra said she seemed a little shaken, after what she saw no one could blame her. After parting ways Korra, Ms Marvel, Iron Man and Captain America left the bending brothers to return to Air Temple Island.

Air Temple Island:

Back on said island Tenzin was talking with two White Lotus Sentries. He had hoped to hear word of The Avatar and her friend but there had been no word since yesterday. Just then he noticed Korra and Ms Marvel arrive back safe.

"Thank goodness." Tenzin said in some relief. "I was just about to send out a search party. Are you two all right?"

"Yeah yeah we..we're fine." Ms Marvel said removing her mask from her face. While Korra turned to the side holding her arms. The wise Airbending master could see that something was wrong.

"Korra, Kamala what happened? Did you find your friend?" He then asked.

"Yeah we did."Kamala said. "And…a lot more besides" Then suddenly landing in the courtyard catching Tenzin by surprise was Iron Man.

"What on earth!" He said in shock as the armoured Avenger approached.

"Hey there don't mind my dropping in." Iron Man said.

"Its okay Tenzin." Kamala explained. "They're two of the friends I told you about."

"Two?" Tenzin said confused but then he saw arriving behind Kamala and Korra was Captain America who removed his helmet and wore his shield on his back.

"Oh, I see." He said.

"Sir, I assume you must be Tenzin, I'm Captain America, this is my colleague Iron Man." Cap introduced. "Kamala explained everything to us on the way here."

"Yeah but for the most part you can call me Tony, and he's Steve." Tony introduced as his helmet disassembled to reveal his face.

"A pleasure." Tenzin greeted. "It would seem I have missed a lot."

"You have no idea." Kamala said. Korra was silent but then she spoke up.

"Tenzin we…we were at an Equalist Rally we saw Amon." She then said.

"What?!" Tenzin said in were his students doing at an Equalists rally.

"He can take people's bending away." Korra then said leaving the worst for last. "For good."

"Thats…thats impossible." Tenzin said in mild shock and horror. "Only the Avatar has ever possessed that ability."

"But we saw him do it." Korra said almost with a hint of fear and disbelief in her eyes.

"Yeah he took that triad leaders bending like he was nothing." Kamala agreed. "This is no hoax."

The fact that fear and disbelief was in the two girls eyes all but told Tenzin this was all very real indeed. "I believe you."

"Hold on." Kamala said only just realising something. "The Avatar can take peoples bending away too?!"

"You failed to mention that kid." Tony said in equal surprise.

"It was only my father who was able to do it." Tenzin explained. "In his final battle with Fire Lord Ozai he used the technique of Energy Bending to remove his bending."

"I've heard about this, it was during the arrival of Sozin's comet." Steve recalled having done his nodded in response confirming it.

"But whats energy bending?" Kamala asked.

"It is the oldest form of bending, where one doesn't bend the elements but rather the energy within ones self." Tenzin explained.

"Thats unbelievable." Tony said almost beyond impressed.

Tenzin however now had a look of concern as he looked over the water towards the city. "I don't know how Amon has achieved this power, but this means the revolution is more dangerous than ever." He said more serious. "No bender is safe."

"Its worse than that from the way the guy talked it sounds like these guys are gearing up for war." Tony said which was of great concern as the group looked over the sea to the ever glowing city beyond the harbour.

Later that night, as Tenzin showed Tony and Steve to their guest rooms after sharing their stories with him. Korra headed to her room to rest. She still couldn't believe what she'd learned, that Amon could take a persons bending away for good. To her that was like taking away a piece of a persons soul, which would be the way Katara would describe it. She never saw anything like this before and wondered what could she do about it. Just then as she headed for her hut, she noticed Kamala sitting in the meditating gazebo on the railing by herself.

As she looked out on the water she was a little downhearted. Especially by the events of tonight. "Kamala."

She jumped when she looked to see Korra standing in the gazebo. "Sorry I..I didn't mean to startle you."

"No sorry I..I was just lost in thought." Kamala said. Korra could see that something was troubling her.

"You okay, you look upset?" She noticed.

"No I'm just thinking." Kamala said.

"Come on you can tell me." Korra said standing next to her friend. Kamala sighed she knew she couldn't keep this in any longer.

"Okay if your wondering I was thinking about Amon and the Equalists." Kamala finally admitted.

"I know I still can't believe he can take a persons…" "Its not that." Kamala interrupted the Avatar.

"Its how they think of benders, how they're to blame for all the bad things that have happened in the world." Kamala explained. "Its just like how people see Inhumans like me."

Korra could see that Kamala was taking this personally the look she had after the incident at the park all but confirmed it. "But I thought you said Inhumans were good?" Korra asked.

"Yeah well not to everyone!" Kamala said almost shouting. "Ever since A-Day and the Terrigen wave people think of Inhumans as diseased and sick that we need to be cured. But it's not just us they say the same about Mutants too."

"Mutants?" Korra said a little puzzled.

"People who were born with powers instead of getting them in an accident or were descended from those with powers." Kamala explained. "Some try to help and when they do their treated like freaks."

Tears started welling in the young Avengers eyes as she kept speaking. "I mean every time I put on that costume and try to help people, they hate me for it! When I first got here, coming to the city with you, even at the rally I…I felt it. The stares, the judgement all of it."

Korra couldn't help but feel sympathy towards her friend she knew from her stories that people feared Inhumans but never did she think they hated them in this capacity. She came up to Kamala and put her arm round her to comfort her.

"I..I'm sorry Kamala, I don't see how people can treat you like that." Korra said in comfort. "But from what I saw, your a good person to me you shouldn't let people judge you because of your powers. And maybe some people think Bending is a bad thing thats just because they look at the bad instead of the good."

"Wise words." The two girls looked and saw it was Steve who was now in a white shirt but still had his blue pants and pads on from his uniform.

"Cap." Kamala said in surprise. "H..how much did you hear?"

"I heard enough." Steve said as he joined the girls. "And your right Korra, that is how some people see those with powers."

"So why do they think that?" Korra then asked.

"Because people fear what they don't understand, and that fear can sometimes turn to hatred." Steve explained. "In my life I've seen people who think power can be controlled and try to exploit it, but in the end those who use that power become their own undoing. But there are those who choose to do the right thing, regardless of what they think."

"Like MODOK." Kamala said.

"Yeah like MODOK." Korra could see that the super solider had been through this kind of thing before. Not surprising given the stories she'd heard about him.

"I never thought about it like that." Korra said.

"Well as I believe a wise hero once said. Being good isn't a thing you are." Cap turned to said hero. "Its what you do."

Kamala did give off a small smile at that. For it was the words her father taught her, and she used those words to remind her heroes of their purpose.

"She sounds pretty wise." Kamala said wiping away a tear.

However Caps expression then turned serious as he looked towards the city. "But its clear the threat that Amon presents isn't one to take lightly, this is more than just protesting Equality. He's planing not to stop at the Triads, if he comes for the city this only leads to one thing."

"Which is?" Korra already dreaded the answer.

Steve turned to Korra with his answer. "War."

The girls could see that Cap was right, what was to stop Amon from using his power to dismantle the city all to ensure 'peaceful equality?' This was just like the aftermath of A-Day all over again.

"So…what do we do?" Kamala wondered. Cap looked forward at the city and then to the girls before he spoke again.

"We assemble the rest of The Avengers."

Authors Notes: Well that was a long one but worth it, now Captain America and Iron Man are now with Korra and Kamala, but now they find out that Amon Leader of the Equalists can take a persons bending away! On the plus side now Mako and Bolin know about Kamala's powers and the Avengers.
