Chaos on the Mountain
Land of Lightning
Bofu Clan Compound
Samui woke up coughing, she had been gathered in the courtyard awaiting A to leave the giant building but then fire rained from the sky and she was sent up in the air and the last thing she saw was a red haze coming from the gate then everything went black as she slammed back into the ground.
As she peeled herself off the ground and sat up, she noticed she was one of the lucky ones, more than a few of her fellow Slave Ninja had been ripped apart from the explosion and there was even one of them who must have fallen back down and crashed into the wall as he lay in a pile of rubble.
"Samui! You're alive!" Her leader, Kaizen said as he pulled her from her sitting position.
He however was very blurry as was everything else for that matter and she felt something wet dripping down the side of her head.
"What's happening?" She asked him with slurred speech as he pulled her over to the collapsed wall and their deceased comrade.
"An outside attack, it looks like the Ginkaku and Kinkaku Clans have launched an assault." Kaizen informed her.
He set her down behind the rubble and checked her head, "Just a flesh wound, there doesn't seem to be major damage."
"How many fingers am I holding up?" He asked holding 2 up.
"4?" Samui said confused as her vision was still blurred and it did look like that to her.
"Concussion." He muttered and then went to his pouch.
He then wrapped a bandage around her head then he shoved something in her mouth which she instinctively swallowed.
"That's a Zoketsugan, it will speed up the formation of blood in your body to replace what was lost. Just stay here and wait until the concussion were's off then join in the battle it hasn't reached this far in yet." Kaizen ordered her and she nodded dazed in response.
Samui felt ill, one moment she had been waiting bored for a meeting to end and the next she found herself bleeding on the ground while a battle raged around her.
'What about Naruto, where was he?' She thought and looked around and saw that a Jutsu must have hit the building during the opening barrage, the same one that knocked her out.
She had no idea where he went the moment she left the room, they had no way to keep in contact while separated so the best guess she had to his location was the central building which was probably where they kept their valuables and more importantly their Ninjutsu library.
"I hope you're okay Naruto." She mumbled as she leaned against the rubble trying not to throw up.
"What is going on here!" A loud voice roared and cut through the din of the battlefield.
"A-Sama it's the Kinkaku and Ginakaku they're both attacking!" One of A's guards called out.
"They wouldn't dare." A growled as lightning erupted from his entire body and cloaked him in it, his hair even spiked up from the activation.
"So that's the famous Raiton no Yoroi huh." Darui said as he joined his counterpart.
"Darui-Sama we're under attack!" One of his Clan members reported.
"I can see that, have the non-combatants been evacuated?" He asked taking in the carnage.
"Yes, we have engaged the invaders and are repelling them in force alongside the Yotsuki Ninja who survived the surprise attack." The member reported instantly having expected the questions.
Samui was only half-listening to the conversation that was going on near her but she did pay attention when A simply disappeared from where he was standing and then reappeared right in front of one of the attacking Ninja and killed him with a single punch sending his body flying into a wall.
"He really is fast." Darui said though his tone was not surprised.
"What should we do Darui-Sama?" The Bofu Clan member asked still kneeling while A and his entourage engaged the invading forces.
"Repel the invaders and take a high ranking prisoner to interrogate." Darui ordered and he too joined the battle.
Samui stood up and took a deep breath and steadied herself and then she moved into the battlefield, the Kinkaku and Ginkaku Clan members were very easy to distinguish as they were wearing silver and gold respectively and that stood out a lot from the whites and greys of the Bofu Clan, what was left of the Yotsuki Clan were also wearing darker colours which kept them separate from the enemy.
"Raiton: Thunderbolt!" Samui unleashed arcs of lightning at them and she managed to fry an entire squad of the attackers before someone charged her.
Samui dodged the first punch by weaving underneath and she hit the man attacking her in the ribs twice making him wince but his jaw didn't drop so she stayed close so his longer reach was negated and they exchanged a flurry of furious blows.
Samui by this point had mostly recovered from the head wound, her vision was clear and her hearing had fully returned so she was back to fighting condition or at least the best fighting condition someone with a head wound could be in.
She saw a good opening when her opponent overextended himself in an attempt to stab her with a kunai he pulled out and she grabbed his wrist and placed a hand on his shoulder then brought her knee up and snapped the man's arm at the elbow with a sickening crunch.
"AAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!" He roared as his left arm flopped down uselessly.
Samui capitalised on the opening as he attacked wildly with his remaining arm, she took the kunai from his broken arm and slashed quickly across his throat.
He reached up and grasped his neck as the blood began to pour from his throat dyeing his silver shirt red making it look rusted, he soon collapsed and died at her feet.
"Well done, we must support A-Sama he is heading to attack the leaders of each Clan." Kaizen said as he appeared by her side, he was covered in blood but it was obviously not his own.
"Very well." Samui agreed with a nod and they both moved out to support their leader.
With Naruto
Incidentally, Naruto was completely unharmed from the Jutsu that the building though he was knocked off his feet by the force of it hitting the building, he wasn't knocked unconscious but he was a little shook up.
"What the Hell was that!?" Naruto groaned as he got back to his feet.
He looked around the room and saw that the room was in complete disarray as everything was knocked off the shelves and there was a strong smell of smoke and ash in the air.
"Oh right, I'm in the wooden part." He remembered and decided that it would probably be better for himself to get out and see just what was going on outside.
Naruto charged out of the room, he no longer cared about stealth that time had come and gone so he ran down the hallways and jumped down the stairs, when he reached the next floor he saw chaos.
This was one of the floors that took a direct hit from the attack as the entire place was unrecognisable from when he passed through earlier, the rooms were destroyed and the hallway was barely a hallway and there was just rubble and burning wood everywhere and Naruto knew that he would have to cross it in order to get out.
"Damn it what the Hell hit this place!" Naruto shouted as he jumped over some burning wood and stuck the ceiling which was not as badly damaged as the floor he ran across upside down but he could feel the building getting weaker as the fire spread and weakened the structure.
He leapt over a hole and then switched back to the ground and slid under a beam of wood that had fallen from the ceiling and eventually reached the end of the destroyed corridor only to be confronted with a locked door.
"I don't have time for this!" He weaved through some signs, "Hyoton: Saihyozuchi!"
Ice erupted from his hands and went up to his shoulders on both arms, it looked like he had shiny clear armour on both of his arms now.
Naruto then punched the wood and it cracked easily under the Chakra produced ice and then he grabbed and pulled another apart before smashing through the rest by just punching them.
He got through the rubble easily with the help of his Hyoton Ninjutsu and jumped right down the centre of the stairwell and he fell down and when he was nearing the bottom he reached out and grabbed the wall with his ice-covered hands and then skid down the wooden wall until it turned to stone then he was just creating deep gouges in the stone and he even felt his hands get warmer from the friction.
"I hope I reach the bottom before the ice melts." Naruto said as he ripped through the wall and fell down.
Lucky for Naruto the ice held long enough for him to reach the bottom and his feet hit the floor roughly but it didn't shatter his ankles which Naruto considered a grand success.
"That went well." He commented as he pulled his hands out of the wall with a grunt.
He was at the bottom of the staircase in the bottom stone half of the building, there was a wooden door opposite to where he was standing and the stairs leading back up.
'Now what do I do? Should I find Samui or should I get a Bofu Clan Member and use the Chimera Jutsu?' Naruto mentally asked himself as he considered his options.
"Come on, we need to get to the vault beneath!" A rough angry voice ordered from outside the door which Naruto only heard due to how loud it was.
Naruto went over to the door and peeked through the keyhole and saw two dark-skinned men in armour, one had silver highlights on his dark amour while the other had golden ones.
'Are they the one's attacking right now or did A and the Yotsuki attack the Bofu?' Naruto thought watching them.
"Zaku." The silver one said.
"I know." Zaku replied and he turned suddenly and went right at Naruto.
"Fuck!" Naruto said as he jumped up and flipped so he was standing above the door frame then as the door was smashed open and flew to the opposite side of the room and was reduced to splinters.
The moment the gold one-Zaku appeared Naruto swung and punched him right in the face sending
him back out of the room, he then dropped down and charged out of the room knowing that he couldn't afford to get boxed in.
Naruto instinctively ducked under a lightning enhanced sword as the silver Ninja slashed at him, but it appeared he was expecting someone taller as Naruto didn't actually need to duck under it but did so anyway.
He punched the man in the ribs with all his strength and Naruto could hear the man's ribs crack from the punch but his senses screamed out to him to move and he did but just barely in time as he felt lightning enhanced kunai go past him cutting him on his arm and cheek while also getting a shock from the lightning.
Naruto jumped backwards further down the corridor away from where he came from facing the two of them which was the best position he could be in. The first rule of facing multiple opponents was very simple; do not get surrounded make sure you can see all your enemies in front of you.
"Who are you brat!?" Zaku the gold one asked.
"He used Hyoton, what's a Yuki doing here!?" The silver one also asked as he held his ribs with a wince.
"Who are you two?" Naruto did not bother answering their questions and instead asked his own.
"Us! You do not know us!" Zaku said offended.
"I am Kuwabara of the Kinkaku Clan, the right hand of Sanzei-Sama." He announced proudly as he brandished his sword again sparking with lightning.
"I am Zaku strongest of the Ginkaku Clan." He said shortly and brought out two disc-like things they were circular and hollow in the centre that Naruto had never seen before, both the inside edge and outside edge looked sharp.
"Hyoton: Mangehyo!" Naruto did not let them speak anymore as he unleashed a barrage of ice darts, these were so cold that the ambient temperature in the corridor plummeted.
Zaku dodged most of the ice darts but even so, he got one in the leg and another got him in the left side of his torso Kuwabara decided to deflect them with his sword but that was a mistake as even with a lightning enhanced sword the darts froze the sections they hit and he also got hit with more darts having at least 5 sticking out of his arms, legs and body the only untouched part was his head.
"RAGH!" He roared in pain as not only did the ice impale him it was also cold enough to burn him.
Zaku was far more restrained and he channelled Lightning Chakra into his strange weapons which made them spark and hum.
Then he threw them and they cut through the air and moved far faster than Naruto was expecting and the only way he could avoid them was by jumping to his left and smashing through a door and avoiding the corridor entirely.
He jumped up and watched in shock as Kuwabara burst through the wall next to the door and locked eyes with Naruto.
"Raiton: Raiken!" He roared and the lightning wrapped around the sword intensified and it grew to be twice as big and he swung it.
Naruto ducked behind a table as Kuwabara literally cut the room in half as lightning rushed over the building, Naruto was not spared as the lightning filled the room and shocked him badly.
"Not good kid." Kuwabara rushed over to Naruto's downed form.
Kuwabara stabbed down at Naruto and the blade went straight through he grinned viciously but that soon stopped as Naruto's body turned to ice and locked the sword in place.
Zaku moved in and threw his weapons again and Naruto had to abandon his sneak attack on Kuwabara as Zaku correctly guessed where he was hiding in the top corner of the room.
"Hyoton: Suishoheki!" Naruto finished his Ninjutsu and a wall of ice erupted between the room and the corridor where Zaku was still standing.
This was the second principle rule of fighting multiple opponents; divide and conquer, separate your enemies and take them out one by one.
Naruto threw shuriken at Kuwabara who was struggling to pull his sword out of Naruto's Hyoton Bunshin and when he saw the weapons flying at him he abandoned his sword and jumped to the side out of the way.
Naruto then realised that those disc weapons were still spinning and moving in the room when one of them cut him right across the shoulder, shocking him at the same time.
"AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!" Naruto shouted in pain as blood spurted from his shoulder.
"Hah! Zaku's Chakrams only need to be thrown once, he can control them with his Chakra." Kuwabara boasted.
"Shut up!" Zaku shouted through the ice wall as he tried to get through it.
That was a vital piece of information for Naruto as he now knew that he just needed to drain the Chakra from them and render them harmless.
"Hyoton: Hyoken!" Naruto created a sword of ice and forged on at Kuwabara who brought out two kunai and made them shine with lightning.
"Foolish to engage me with a sword." Kuwabara said as he deflected Naruto's strike.
Naruto was not a skilled swordsman he was good enough to stab and slash people but he was no master and Kuwabara was easily better than him by several magnitudes.
"Futon: Reppusho!" Naruto used a wind Jutsu with his other hand in an attempt to knock him off balance.
His attempt worked as Kuwabara was pushed onto his back foot, and Naruto took advantage and stabbed the man through his left lung and then let go of the sword and backed up as Kuwabara lashed out bringing both kunai down.
"Raiton: Jibashi!" Kuwabara unleashed a massive current of lightning from himself.
"Futon: Toppa!" Naruto countered and blew a gust of wind at him and sent him backwards back into the wall.
At that point, Zaku burst through the ice wall and took stock of the situation and then began to control his Chakram weapons to chase Naruto and got him in the leg and arm making him bleed even more and his skin was even getting burnt from the lightning.
"Damn it!" Naruto wanted to finish Kuwabara before Zaku got through the wall.
"Hyoton: Haryu Moko!" Naruto unleashed one of his strongest Hyoton Ninjutsu.
A tiger made of ice formed and slammed the Chakrams down into the ground then it charged at Zaku and he could not get out of the way fast enough the ice tiger mauled him and then Naruto turned his attention to Kuwabara who was struggling to stand back up.
Naruto got a kunai and then he channelled wind Chakra into it and made it sharp and threw it at Kurabara's centre mass the man was too injured to dodge and the kunai struck true right next to the ice sword that was still impaled in him.
"No! Not here!" Zaku roared as he tore at the tiger just as ferociously as the tiger attacked him.
"Hyoton: Shimo Yuka." Naruto did another Jutsu and stamped one of his feet on the ground.
Ice instantly spread from that foot and ended up covering the entire floor in ice and it had the effect of sticking Zaku to the ground the half-destroyed tiger took advantage and finished him off with a bite to the throat.
"Hah, hah." Naruto panted heavily as he held his bleeding arm. The arm wound was shallow compared to the one on his opposite shoulder and the one on his leg was also deep.
"First aid now." Naruto muttered as he collapsed to the ground.
He began pulling out bandages and other medical supplies and began to get to work on patching himself up.
'I need to get a Kekkei Genkai that increase my defensive power, this sucks not having a medic around.' He thought as he went about stitching his wounds back up.
'No one could be as miserable as me right now.' If only Naruto knew just what was going on outside.
Land of Fire
Uchiha Clan Compound
Obito at this moment was truly happy, the sun was shining the wind was warm and he didn't have to go and risk his neck on a mission.
"Obito, you can't sleep here." A gentle voice scolded him as he lay on the wooden floors.
Obito opened his eyes and saw his pregnant wife standing over him, her soft brown hair and eyes seemed to sparkle in the yellow sun.
"Hello, Rin." He greeted her with a bright smile as he pushed himself up into a sitting position.
"Enjoying your day off?" She asked as she waddled over to him and with a little help sat down next to him so her legs were hanging off the edge of the walkway.
"I am now that you're here." He said instantly getting a blush from his wife.
"You need to stop saying things like that." She said and enjoyed the weather.
"It's just how I feel." Obito admitted as he wrapped an arm around here.
"How are you feeling, is everyone treating you well?" Obito asked her.
"Yes, Kairi-San has been helping me with everything." Rin answered and Obito let out a short breath of relief.
Rin was an outsider and she was looked upon with suspicion and at times she was even treated like a spy by some members of the Clan, Obito had met her when he was around 7 on a mission to a small village, he fell in love with her at first sight.
It took years for him to get the courage to ask her out and even longer for her to agree and eventually they got married against the wishes of his Clan, they believes her a honey pot and was using him to get the Clans secrets, there was a lot of bad things in those early years that Obito would rather forget.
"I've always liked Kairi." He said thinking on the older woman who was assigned as Rin's guardian/observer and would be the midwife to help her give birth when the time came.
Thankfully Rin turned out to be skilled in Medicines and even Medical Ninjutsu which was taught carefully and Rin was watched even more after that but eventually, she won over the elders who declared that she was to be treated like any other Uchiha and given the right to take the prestigious and dangerous name of Uchiha.
"I can't wait to meet my son." He said rubbing a hand over Rin's stomach.
"You mean daughter." Rin corrected though in truth she did not know the gender of her child either.
"I want a son but a daughter's fine, they will be our child." Obito said softly and Rin placed her hand over his.
"I know Obito I think you'll be a wonderful Father." Rin assured him as she entwined her fingers with his.
They stayed like that for a while just basking in the presence of each other while the wind blew and carried the songs of the birds.
"How is Sasuke-Kun doing?" She asked curiously, Sasuke was one of the few members who had always treated her well because he was too young to understand just what was happening.
"He's fine, right now he's on a mission with Itachi something in the south towards the coast." Obito said absentmindedly as he rested his head on hers which was on his shoulder.
"I hope he'll be okay he's only 13." Rin said worriedly.
"Don't worry he'll be fine, the kids better than me at his age and he has the best in the Clan with him." Obito said.
Uchiha Itachi stood alone at the pinnacle of the Uchiha Clan a genius without equal whom the future of the Clan was bet on, his Father Fugaku was not a bad leader but even he did not come close to Itachi's intellect and planning, Obito was jealous a long time ago but now he was fine with it the only thing that he cared about now was Rin and his future child.
"How long left?" He asked her.
"Kairi-San thinks within the month." Rin answered.
"That's good, I can't wait." Obito mumbled as his eyes got heavy again.
"Neither can I." Rin agreed as she shut her eyes as well.
In this moment of tranquillity, Obito and Rin both felt at peace as if the world wasn't teetering on the edge of madness as if they wouldn't have to send their child out to fight for the Clan.
It was the small moments like this where happiness bloomed and life was worth living and the future looked bright instead of blood soaked.

Also, it was halfway through this chapter that I realised that I didn't do a Land of Fire POV in chapter 15 which was bad so I decided to do this chapter extra-large to compensate for that.
Also as for why I've got Rin alive and married to Obito, well there's a lot more misery in this world since all the Clans are still fighting against each other and I decided that he deserves to be happy. I don't want the entire world to be all doom and gloom there are good things despite all the fighting.
