A/N: Sorry it has taken me a bit longer than usual to update, I know sometimes that I am a bit slow sometimes but this time I had an unexpected stay in hospital thanks to a bout of double pneumonia which is why it has taken so long for this to be finished and uploaded.
From this point the story goes off cannon and does not follow the story line of either of the books or tv show.
"HOW DARE YOU PASS A SENTENCE LIKE THAT ON MY BROTHER, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?
Cersie had screamed at her husband when she heard the news of her brothers sentencing. She was utterly furious and if nothing else the king was going to know just how furious, if she was thinking more rationally she might have considered her words more seriously.
"YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS, YOU CANNOT TREAT MY BROTHER LIKE A COMMON CRIMINAL, MY FATHER WILL NOT ALLOW THIS!"
Robert stood there for another mere moment listening to his wife rant and rave and instead of getting angry at her words, which he was, he turned and walked out of the chamber. Slamming the door behind him and ordering the two kingsguard who were guarding the chamber to not allow the queen to leave, on pain of their own deaths. He stormed down towards Ned's office, steam literally could be seen coming out of his ears and anyone looking into his eyes would have seen a virtual storm exploding in his eyes, no one seeing the storm in his eyes knew without a doubt, that it would not take much more for the kings fury to explode and none of them wanted that directed at them.
From within the guest chamber the sounds of crashes could be heard as the queen vented her anger against the furniture and trinkets within the room, the two kingsguard glancing periodically at the door as the Cersie raged within.

Jaime groaned slightly as he sat back against the wall beside the bars of his cell, he was tired, so very tired. He had been berating himself eternally since the day he had made the biggest mistake of his pathetic existence.
He knew he should not have behaved the way he did towards the king's eldest but after the night he had spent with his sister, the queen, listening to her complaints about the existence of the boy and what it meant for her and her children and for all their family as a whole. Though many people thought him stupid, he was not that stupid, well except where his sister was concerned, he never seemed to learn where Cersie was concerned.
The sound of movement caught Jaime's attention and he turned his head slightly to see his brother, Tyrion, making his way towards his cell. He smiled humorously at his younger, smaller brother.
"So brother, what brings you here? Seeing as I have not seen you for the duration of the time that I have been here, thought you had forgotten about me?"
Tyrion looked a little abashed at his brothers words, he had wanted to come to see his brother before now but he had been unable to due to the king ordering him confined to the chambers that he had been assigned on his arrival in Winterfell. It seemed that the king did not trust anyone of Lannister, mind you, Tyrion did not fully trust anyone of Lannister blood himself either so he understood the kings caution.
"It was not through lack of wanting to come brother but rather not being able to leave the chamber that had been assigned to me by Lord Stark, it seems both the king and Lord Stark thought that I would try and free you. Not that the thought did not cross my mind, mind you but what good would it have done, our ancestral lands are too far away and there is no where in the North that you have been safe, so I thought it best to bide my time for now."
Tyrion settled himself on the cold hard stone floor, as he was speaking and when he finished, he put his hand inside his tunic and pulled out a loaf of bread and a flask, passing them through the bars to Jaimie, who accepted his offerings quite eagerly.
He broke a chunk of the bread and devoured it in one mouthful, uncorking the flask he took a swift gulp of the liquid inside, which turned out to be wine. It had been some days since he had last eaten and the only liquid he had had was water that had dripped down from the ceiling and he was unsure of how clean it was but that had all there had been.
"I'm sorry that I could not do more for you Jaimie but we will find some way to get you out of this sentence."
Jaime glanced at his brother and could see the sorrow in his eyes over his predicament, and for a moment he believed that something would be done. He stopped chewing for moment as he thought about what could be done and he thought about their sister Cersie and how she was bearing out, with everything that had happened.
"How's our sister?" he asked Tyrion.
Tyrion smiled sadly as he thought of their sister, he had heard amongst the servants that the queen was confined to her chambers also and that she was not taking it well if any of the gossip he had heard was anything to go by.
"Cersie is being Cersie."
"That does not sound good," Jaimie muttered.
The small sound of a sword clanking against chain mail alerted Tyrion and Jaimie that the guard was returning and Tyrion got to his feet, preparing to disappear before the guard saw him and reported him to the lord of Winterfell.
"I will try and visit again and bring more food for you."
"We need to get a message to father, let him know what is going on Tyrion."
Tyrion knew his brother was right and he nodded his head in acknowledgement of what his brother had to say, he knew there was no way that Cersie would be able to get a message to their father but perhaps he might be able to.
Jaime put his hand through the bars and the brothers grasped hands for a bare second before Tyrion was away disappearing into the darkness of the hallway, seconds later the guard made his appearance.

Cat was dealing with the everyday issues of running a home as large as Winterfell but her mind kept wandering back to the events that had taken place during the royal visit, she knew that life in Winterfell would never be the same.
That there was the possibility that when the king and the royal party returned to Kings Landing that not just her Lord and husband would be leaving to take up the position of the Hand, that she had overheard Robert ask him to be but also the boy who she had always, until the last few weeks hated, would also be leaving for Kings Landing.
She was still unsure of how she felt about Jon, so much had changed that in such a short time and she felt a coldness sweep over her, a coldness that felt foreboding and it alarmed her, it felt as if death was about to visit the North and her family.

Joffrey was angry, he could not believe what he had heard, that his uncle was being dispatched to the wall all because of that bastard Jon, he wandered aimlessly through the hallways of Winterfell as he tried to come to terms with the events of the last few days. The sound of footsteps alerted him to the fact that he was not alone and he glanced up to see his brother Tommen just ahead of him, looking like a deer caught unexpectedly in a hunter target and he remembered that Tommen was part of the reason why they were going to be losing their uncle.
A red fury took over Joffrey and he launched himself at his younger brother, grabbing the front of his tunic and pushing the youngster backwards into the hard stonework of the wall behind him. He saw the back of Tommen's head slam into the wall and he heard the smaller boys pained cry but that did not stop and he once again pulled his brother forward, intending to slam him again to the wall behind
Jon was on his way to archery practice when he heard the commotion of a struggle coming from one of the side hallways in this part of the castle, he made his way cautiously forward and was shocked to see Joffrey slamming young Tommen into the wall.
"HEY!" he shouted.
Joffrey flinched when he heard the shout behind him but continued in his attempt to slam his younger brother into the wall. All of the sudden he felt a hand grip his wrists and pull them away from Tommen, who slumped down the wall, sitting dazed on the floor and in somewhat shock at his brothers seemingly senseless attack upon him.
"HEY, LET HIM GO!" Jon shouted at him again.
"LET GO OF ME,"
Joffrey screamed at Jon, aiming a kick for his shin and attempting to yank his writs out of Jon's firm grip.
"TAKE YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF OR ME,"
The sound of running feet came to their attention and Jory Cassel came in view along with a few of the Winterfell men at arms and two of the kingsguard who immediately made their way to the three princes. One of them knelt down by Tommen, checking him to make sure he was not severely injured while the other looked at Jon and Joffrey.
"What is happening here your highness?"
Though he was looking at Jon, it was Joffrey who answered or that is did a fairly good impersonation of his mother.
"THIS BASTARD ATTACKED ME, I DEMAND YOU ARREST HIM, NOW!" Snarled Joffrey.
The kingsguard quirked his eyebrows at the younger princes words, he doubted it had been Jon who done any of the attacking, he was not stupid. It was not the first time that Tommen had been injured with his brother in the near vicinity, Joffrey had often attacked his younger siblings. He did not care for the now middle prince and he knew that he could not have said anything against the young man, in the past but perhaps with Jon now the crown prince that perhaps Joffrey's behaviour could be reigned in, somehow.
"I heard a scuffle as I was on my way to the archery posts and saw Joffrey attacking Tommen. Slamming him into the wall and I stopped him as you can see, and as he seems a little overwrought, perhaps it would be best if he was escorted to his chamber to rest."
Joffrey was still struggling to escape Jon's grasp and was still attempting to do injury to him by kicking him. He had no intention of going to his chambers, Jon had no right to tell anyone what to do and least of him. He was nothing to him, nothing but an interloper who would soon be gone, if he had anything to do with it.
The kingsguard bowed his head in acknowledgement towards Jon and put his hand on Joffrey's shoulder. The boy turned his head and attempted to kick the man, who stepped back a little so the furious boy could not reach him. Seeing he could not kick the man, Joffrey spat at him and got the satisfaction of seeing the man flinch just a little as his spit landed on his face but his satisfaction was short lived as Jon decided to make the removal of Joffrey to his chamber a little easier for the kings guard, he thumped Joffrey hard across the face.
As the youngster passed out from Jon's blow the man quickly slung the prince over his shoulder and nodding to Jon again, he turned to his companion who had already got Tommen to his feet, the youngest prince seemed a little dazed but apart from a small trickle of blood at the back of his head he seemed fine but he knew no chance could be taken, so he ordered his companion to take Tommen to the maester.

A/N: I was going to write some more but I have run out of the flow of words and quite frankly I am knackered, I know I am home now after spending 5 weeks in hospital but I am still getting over my dance with death. If any of you spot any spelling mistakes can you please let me know, I have proof-read but knowing me probably missed one or two.
