[PLEASE READ: Hope you all are doing well given the state of the world right now. Got a shorty for you guys. Got a little info that I probably should have given in the last two chapters. I'm going to be doing things a little differently in terms of battling in this fanfic. First, no limit on Pokemon moves (meaning more than four). Second, Pokemon can create their own moves (you'll see later). Third, Pokemon can pull off any moves that their bodies can physically pull off (like if a Pokemon has claws they can learn scratch or fury swipes. If they can fly, they can learn most flying types moves. If they have the anatomy or just physical capability, they can learn the move). And you already saw the way I did stat boosts and debuffs in the last chapter. Anyway, enough talk. Hope you all enjoy. Note: I do not own Pokémon. All rights to it's actual owners]

Chapter 13: Loopets?

(Tony) (In room at end of the day)(Nighttime)

"Arceus damn it!" I yelled as I fell back into my bed, hands cupping my face stressed.

"Why can't you let it go already. Yes it happened, it's why I left. I don't want to think about her, him, both, and whatever they're up too right now of all times, especially in front of Flara..." I said as I thought again. I think I might have a crush or something on her, I don't know. Flara's a nice girl, amazing to be around, cool to talk with. Plus I can tell she like's to keep her body healthy, I can't take my eyes off her...

"Ugh. That just makes me sound creepy." I groaned into my hands.

It is a nice body though...

"Shut it brain, I don't want to be thinking about her of all people like that." I sighed out loud to myself.

Not the brain who's talking, look down.

I then shot up realizing why my thoughts were growing on the topic. I looked under my covers and saw that it was out. I groaned now really feeling it.

"How did I not notice...Nope, not dealing with that tonight. Not falling for that." I said as I immediately got up and went into my room's bathroom.

(10 minutes of cold shower later)

Now back in my bed laying in my bed thinking about my feeling for Flara. She's great so far and all but that's not the point. I've only experienced these same feelings with one other person, Vixie. That's the dilemma here. Every time I start feeling these feelings around Flara, my mind rushes back to what I left in Treasure Town. I sit back up.

"Yes I get it, I can't expect to be over her after so little time but...fuck." I sighed laying down again. "Is it too early to be thinking about liking someone? Especially what I had dealt with in Vixie not so long ago? I know it's not good to get hung up on things like this but I don't know when the time will be right when I feel like I'm ready for something like that. And more importantly, I don't want to hurt Flara in the process."

I turned over to lay on my left side, staring out the window and at the bright moon.

"Maybe the right time will come soon." I said before shutting my eyes. "Ugh, this better not keep me up all night."

(The next day)

*Uproar from trainee dorm rooms*

"Damn it..." I said after only getting about two hours of sleeps. I yawned getting out of bed. I did my daily stretches to wake myself up before heading over to the trainer lounge to grab a berry or something for breakfast.

I honestly hope I don't have to do much today, at least not anything physical.

I finally made it to the lounge to find only a few teachers. I said my good morning to Mr. Sars and kept to my business with everyone.

Not that I like doing that. Most of them are still not used to someone my age being at the same level as them. Others I don't really know yet and I don't think introductions so early in the morning will be favorable.

I grabbed some Rawst berries and started heading towards Mr. Emboar's office, munching on the berries on my way there. This time actually knowing where I was going.

"Ah Tony, ready for ano-woah, you okay?" Mr. Emboar said when I walked in, noticing how I looked.

"I'm fine sir, just bit of trouble sleeping. What's the assignment for today?" I yawned, wanting to start the day.

"Hmm let's see..." He said as he scan some paper he was holding. "Ah, here it is, I want you to help Ms. Marina in Items Class. You should be able to find it on the map."

"On it sir. Um, she's the Azumarill right?" I asked.

"Yes she is. I suggest getting there quickly, I hear she likes to get there early." He said. I nodded and start my trek to her classroom.

(20 minutes later)

Huh? Got here quicker than I thought. I think I just might be getting used to the layout of this place.

I walked up to the door and peered in.

[The room looks like any typical classroom with desks in rows, a black board in front, and a long table also in front for the teacher.]

Ms. Marina is messing around with things in boxes. I knocked on the door and sure looks up and smiles at me, motioning me to come in.

"Good morning Ms. Marina." I said as I walk in and up to her.

"Good morning to you too. You must be Tony. Glad that I can finally introduce myself. Been way to busy with classes to interact with my other colleagues. Here to help out with my class today?" She asked extending her hand for me to shake.

"Right you are, here to help out with whatever you might need for the lesson." I said and shook her hand while trying, and failing, to hold back a yawn. "Sorry about that."

"Rough night for sleeping last night?" She asked concerned.

"Yeah, had a lot on my mind last night. I'll be alright though. I appreciate the concern." I said.

"Just making sure. If you have any problems, I double as a counselor, and it's not just for students." She smiled and I smiled back.

"I'll be sure to remember that, thank you." I said.

"Think nothing of it. Anywho, class should be starting soon and students should be coming in any second now." She said walking over to the door and locking it open.

"Right, just tell me what ya need me to do." I said excitedly.

(A half an hour into class)

Ms. Marina had just finished teaching students about a few different types seeds with me and picked students demonstrating how they're used.

Had a bit of a mishap with a younger Chespin eating a blast seed without being told to. Let's just say that a point blank fire ball to the face doesn't feel good whether you're a fire type or not.

The students here are from all shapes, ages, types, and sizes. About 30 of them in the class. There was also some familiar faces in Dew, Ema, and Drew, Drew and the other two at different ends of the class. So far, no confrontations between them, which only made my life easier.

Thank Arceus for that.

"Ok now onto the next item." She clapped her hands as she said that. "Tony, could you bring that box from over there?"

"On it." I said as I went over and grabbed the box she pointed to. It wasn't that big of a box and was pretty light. When I picked it up, the contents clanged together, indicating that they were some form of metal or at least a material close to that. I set it down in front of her as she begins talking again.

"Now class the next item on our list is something that will prove very useful in dungeons exploring." Ms. Marina said as she open up the box and pull what looked like a stylized bracelet with a few notches in it that had never seen before. "Loopets."

"Loopets?" I said out loud confused at the new item. This got a snicker out of Drew.

"Wow, 'famous explorer' does even know what something as common as seeds is. What a joke." Drew said as I glared at him.

"Oh hush Drew. Loopets are not as common in the world as you may think. They are pretty new devices after all." Ms. Marina said. "There are places in this region that have still yet to get these mainly since they can't be used to their full potential without these crystals."

She then pulled down a screen that featured pictures of different colored crystals. "As some of you might already know, these are called Emeras. By using them by themselves and crushing them, they grant a stat boost to one of your stats; speed, attack, special attack, etc.. However, when put into the notches of a Loopets, it can give you special abilities. Can someone name some of these abilities?"

Ema raised her hand, Ms. Marina nodding to her. "Some abilities include increased attack power, having another attack fire immediately after one you fire in the same turn without wasting pp *younger kids snicker*, and um being able to sense where enemies are anywhere in a the dungeon." Ema said.

"Perfect examples Ema, and that's only scraping the bottom of the barrel of what types of emeras that are out there. You will learn more about them in your dungeon exploration class because right now..." Ms. Marina said before the bells rang out through the school. "Class is done. Hope you all have a good rest of the day."

Everyone quickly started filing out the room while I started to get the classroom ready for the next class. I then felt a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see that it is was Dew and Ema.

"Hey Tony. Don't have long but we just wanted to ask if you wanted to come hang out with us at Port Town after classes." Dew said while I raise an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Yeah, since it seems you probably never got a sense of the place yet, we'd be happy to show you around." Ema said happily.

"The cool places at least." Dew added.

"I'm sure a certain Braixen would be happy to show you around." Ema smiled suggestively.

Well that may have just sold me.

"Hmm, that does sound like a good idea to check this place out with people I know. I'll come with you guys." I said.

"Awesome, meet us at the front entrance where we met and we'll head out from there." Dew said before quickly heading out the door to his next class. Ema following quickly behind.

"A group of good Pokemon is what those kids are. I'm glad you met them." Ms. Marina said walking up to me after they left.

"Same here. From what I've heard, they'd make great explorers one day." I said turning to her. "Now, about the Loopets..."

"*giggle* It's fine that you're unaware of what they are. A few other trainers never even heard of them as well. I can tell you a bit about them come lunch time. Though you would have to find Loopets on your own since these are the schools." She explained.

"It's fine, shouldn't be to hard to get one. The explanation would do just fine." I said with a smirk as the next class started arriving.
