A/N:
Hey lovely readers, my apologies for not updating last week. Between real life being a bit crazy and helping my little daughter start and complete her fourth Twilight fanfic in time for Halloween, which is called Dazzling Miscreations and is worth checking out. I was unable to work on this store. But now I'm back in action. :)))
Now lets see what Bella is up to.

Bella's POV
Grabbing my crumbled up sliver Pop Tart wrapper that I left on the table from my quick breakfast, I toss it in the trash and glance at the clock on the stove. It's six fifty and school starts at seven fifteen. Edward said he would be here five minutes till seven. That's what he said when he called about fifteen minutes ago to let me know that he'd be a little later than planned. I have no idea what was going on at his house when he called, but his mother was in the background telling his siblings (Emmett and Rosalie) to stay out of the downstairs coat closet and put down the peanut butter and jelly. I can't imagine what that could be about.
Feeling anxious and excited I walk out of the kitchen and into the living room. I grab my backpack that I left on the floor next to the coffee table, put it on and head out the door. I plan to wait outside so I don't miss him. I close and lock the door behind me and stand on the porch.
Breathing in the crisp morning air I hear a couple birds in the tree that's in our front yard chirping and singing their cheerful morning song. It's a beautiful tune and goes great with my mood. I smile to myself as I sit and listen to their chirping for a minute.
With butterflies in my stomach and feeling too happy to sit still I stand on my feet and start walking down the first porch steps, holding onto the rail as I go. Everything is fine until my feet come in contact with the third step and somehow I lose my balance. My heart flutters against my chest as my hand lets go of the rail and I slide down the rest of the steps like I'm on a slide, landing on the damp concrete, right on my butt!
"Perfect." I look back at the porch and glare at the steps. I hate being clumsy. But on the bright side, nobody's around to see.
Quickly I pick myself up off the ground, dusting my pants off.
I hear the sound of a car up the street. Suddenly I'm overcome with this something-special-is-going-to happen feeling. It's the same feeling I got on the first day of school when I met Edward. I have a big feeling that he'll be here soon.
Trying to stay steady on my feet I carefully walk to the curb. With each step I take there's something bugging me in my shoe, so I bend down and untie my shoe. Well, "try" would be the key word here since my shoelace is being stubborn and doesn't want to come undone. Fiddling with my dang shoelace I hear the sound of a car driving down the road and suddenly there is a car pulling up next to the curb, inches from where I am. I peek up to see a beautiful red car with Edward in the back seat and his brother and sister sitting in the front.
I smile at Edward and go back to my task of tugging at my shoelace. "Yes! Got ya!" I say out loud to my darn shoelace.
I hear someone laugh from inside the car, his brother I think. I don't pay attention to that as I stand up and take my shoe off. I shake it, while hopping on one foot so I don't get my white shock dirty. A tiny rock falls out of my shoe at the very same time Edward gets out of the car.
"Well, this is a very interesting dance. Do you always do this before you get into a vehicle?" He teases.
A loud booming laugh erupts from the car. Yup. It's definitely his brother.
"Um, no." I feel my face growing hot as I bring my foot to meet my shoe. "I had something in my shoe."
He looks at the pebble on the ground. "I see."
Trying not to think of how ridiculous I look balancing on one foot and trying very hard not to fall over as I unintentionally rock back and forth, I quickly finish tugging my shoe on. I feel very unsteady on one foot but at least I don't fall. Oops, spoke too soon. Before my foot can come in contact with the ground I lose my balance and nearly fall flat on my butt...again.
But this time is different, something catches me.
It's Edward, of course. My hero.
"I got you." He says. His hands clutching my shoulders, his touch is so gentle yet powerful at the same time. He eases me into a standing position.
"Uh...thanks." I say shyly. My face feels hot and I know I'm blushing.
I wonder if there will ever be a time that I'm not clumsy and don't blush around Edward. I seem to always be as red as a beet whenever he's around me. I wonder what he thinks of me - why he likes me. But then again, he likes me so why should I wonder? Nothing to think too much about, he cares for me and that's what matters.
After all, his strong and gentle hands. On me. That is totally worth being clumsy if that's my reward. I can get used to that.
"I'll always catch you when you fall." He promises.
"That's always good to know." I smile, thinking of my earlier thoughts and his hands on me.
I blush again. He smiles.
I look into his eyes and he looks into mine. Everything else disappears but him and I.
"I understand it's nice to say good morning to your sweetheart, but it's also nice to not be late for school. Can both of you get in the car? Please?" His sister says through the open window. She sounds impatient and looks as though she wants to lay on the horn. Or, maybe I'm imagining that last part.
"Babe, we got plenty of time." His brother reassures her.
His sister responds but I don't hear what she says. I can't concentrate on anything that isn't Edward. He's so handsome and I feel like I'm in a dream that I didn't know I could dream up since he seems too good to be true. My heart begins to beat faster.
Edward stands closer to me. So close that I can smell his sweet scent wrap around me. He smells so good, the best aroma I've ever smelled. Suddenly I feel his hand on the small of my back. I can't believe that he's touching my body again. I feel lightheaded.
"Shall we get going?" Edward asks in that smooth voice of his.
His voice sends butterflies to my stomach and I find myself unable to form words as I nod my head. The ability to speak isn't the only thing I lose, I can hardly think. He chuckles, moving his face closer to mine. My head feels dizzy and the world begins to tilt as his lips place a gentle kiss on my forehead. Once again I lose my balance and feel gravity pulling like a magnet towards the ground.
"Bella?" Edward asks.
I don't answer. The world is spinning too fast.
"Timber!" I hear a guy's voice say in a joking way as everything goes black.
"Ohmygod! Edward, she's fainting." His sister says in a rush.
"I got her." I hear an angel say.
Something holds me tight, shaking me lightly and calling my name.
"Bella!" Edward's voice is loud and in a panic.
The voices of his siblings are in the background but I can't focus on what they are saying. I only concentrate on Edward, his voice, his touch and his smell. All those things pull me back. I open my eyes, blinking a few times, I see his face inches from mine. His usually smooth features are tight with worry.
Like a fish out of water, I struggle to breath. I let out a long ragged breath and another.
"Are you okay?" He wonders. "You fainted."
"How…" I sigh, closing my eyes.
"I don't know." Edward admits. He sounds very frightened.
"Is she okay?" From a million miles away I hear his brother and sister ask in unison.
"I'm fine." I say breathlessly. I open my eyes, looking at Edward's pale face and golden eyes. He looks a few shades paler than usual. "How did you do it?"
I meant for my words to sound like a demand. But my voice is very breathless and sounds too soft.
"Did what?" He questions, looking puzzled.
"Made me faint." My voice is stronger now. I regain my balance as his arm wraps around my shoulders.
"I didn't do that." He protests as we begin walking. "I only gave you a kiss on your forehead. The fainting spell is not my fault." He shakes his head.
"It was you. You made me faint." I say.
Edward shakes his head but doesn't respond.
"Sleeping Beauty was awakened with a true love's kiss from the Prince in that fairy tale." His brother laughs. "But looks like you have the opposite effect on her, brother mine."
"Whatever, Emmett." Edward rolls his eyes and opens the back door while his sister keeps staring at me. "Don't listen to anything he says." He looks at me, waving his hand at the open door for me to get in.
"Okay..." I let my voice trail off.
I slide in the back seat and so does he. The car door closes and I get a vibe that I am surrounded by very special people that are unlike anyone I have ever meant. I also feel that I'm right where I belong, with the people I belong with.
I can't help but look at his very beautiful sister who has long blond hair and reminds me of a perfect princess in a Disney movie. I notice that she makes eye contact with Edward. No words are exchanged between the two of them and yet he nods his head - just one tight nod - as if she said something to him but only he is able to hear it.
"Bella," Edward says, I turn to meet his eyes. "These are my brother and sister, Emmett and Rosalie." He gestures to them as he says their names. "Em, Rose, this is my girlfriend Bella."
The three of us exchange pleasantries.
"Bella," Rosalie, his gorgeous sister says, her golden eyes so much like Edward's lock with mine. With her beautiful blond hair, flawless pale skin and dark eye makeup that make her eyes pop, she looks like she should be a model getting ready to go out on a runway instead of a day at school. "Do you feel sick? Dizzy? Lightheaded? Sick to your stomach? Anything at all?"
Her list of questions and the way she says them, makes her sound like a nurse instead of a high school student. I can't help but wonder if she worked in a doctor's office in a previous life.
"No. I'm fine." I answer, trying to sound sure of myself.
"Are you sure?" His brother, who looks like he should be a bodybuilder, rather than a Sophomore, eyeballs me. His golden eyes are full of concern. "Our father is a doctor. We can take you to the hospital if you are feeling sick. He could check you out."
"No hospitals." I choke out. That's the last place I want to be.
All of them exchange odd glances with each other.
"Yeah, he could make sure you're okay." Edward agrees. "It's not normal to faint. Um, you don't usually faint often do you?" He quickly adds.
Three pairs of golden eyes that are set inside pale faces stare at me. All awaiting my answer. Despite not being related to one another since all of them are adopted, their eye color, unique paleness and extreme beauty that they have - even their mom and Alice - seems too odd to be a coincidence.
"No." I answer too quickly.
"Are you sure?" Edward wonders.
I roll my eyes as his brother and sister question if I'm okay. I'm really fine. Why do they insist on me seeing a doctor just because I fainted for a few seconds? It's honestly not a big deal.
"You're not going to black out again, Sleeping Beauty?" Emmett asks, his eyes on me.
"Are you positive you feel fine?" Rosalie's tone is concerned and I see that in her eyes.
Edward puts his cold hand under my chin. Very gently he turns my head toward him and my heart goes into overdrive, pumping like crazy.
"Really, Bella." His tone is smooth, yet his eyes that bore into mine are full of worry. "You're sure you don't feel sick at all?"
At once a story - the legends I heard at La Push when I was younger about creatures with hard, pale, cold skin and golden eyes float into the front of my mind. Immediately something in my brain clicks. The legends of The Cold Ones that I once thought were merely scary stories to frighten kids - much like the Goosebumps series that I used to read - are actually true. After all, I'm sitting in a car with three of them. Yet, I don't feel scared at all. I feel absolutely comfortable in their presence.
"Really, I'm good. I just want to go to school." I answer all three of them at once.
"Okay." Rosalie nods. She puts the car in drive and finally we are driving away from my house and down the street.
Taking my Dr. Pepper lip gloss out of the front pocket of my backpack, my thoughts begin to race. I can't believe that I'm dating a vampire. I wonder if he'll hide that fact from me if I drop hints that I know what he is, or if he will feel like he is able to tell me anything. I sure hope he doesn't lie.
