Chapter 5
Time seemed to move backwards, as Regina sat at her desk Friday afternoon. She checked the clock every few minutes, anxiously waiting for five o'clock so she could go home and get ready for Emma's arrival. Her stomach was in knots by the time she packed up to leave, rushing out of her office at five o'clock sharp, saying a quick goodbye to her secretary, as she practically ran down the stairs and out to her car, tripping momentarily on the sidewalk. Her tires squealed as she peeled out of the parking spot, racing home at top speed, eager to make it home and out of her work clothes before Emma arrived.
At exactly five minutes after six, Regina's phone went off, indicating a text message.
"Hey! I'm just leaving work now. I should be there in about a half hour, maybe a little longer if I hit traffic." Emma's text message read.
"Drive safe. See you soon!" Regina responded, as she continued to rush around the house, making sure everything was perfect for Emma's first weekend, her heart pounding as each minute passed. She eventually forced herself to settle into the couch and turn on the television, a failed attempt to distract herself, as she constantly checked her phone, until she eventually heard the front door open and close.
"Regina?" Emma called, as she made her way into the house, stopping to take her shoes off, leaving them in the corner, dropping her duffle bag at the bottom of the stairs.
"Hey!" Regina said, rushing out of the den, making her way over to Emma, kissing her as soon as she could. "How was your drive?" She asked.
"It was alright. Not too much traffic." Emma said, shifting the take-out bag in her hand. "I stopped at the Chinese place right outside of town. You always cook whenever I come to visit, so I thought I would get dinner tonight. I hope that's alright." She said, presenting the large bag full of food.
"Chinese sounds great." Regina smiled, taking the bag from Emma's hand, making her way to the kitchen. "It smells great." She said, as she started to unpack the food from the bag, placing it on the kitchen table.
"It's pretty good food. Not as good as the Chinese food in New York, but still decent. I used to stop there during Wolf's Time before I met you, and grab dinner before I shifted." Emma said, grabbing the plates from the cabinet, setting the table, grabbing the bottle of wine that Regina had left on the counter, pouring two glasses before they sat down to eat.
"This is quite good." Regina said in between bites. "We'll have to remember to order from here more often."
"And it's so close, I'm sure they would deliver, so we don't even have to leave the house." Emma laughed, taking a large bite of rice.
"How was your trip?" Regina asked, taking a sip of wine. "Did you apprehend the person you were tracking?"
"It was alright. It ended up taking way longer than anticipated, but I eventually caught the guy." Emma said, yawning slightly. "I actually only got back late last night."
"You must be exhausted." Regina said, reaching for Emma's hand across the table.
"Yeah." Emma said, yawning again. "I'm glad I'm here though."
"I'm glad you're here too." Regina said, squeezing Emma's hand. "It's a good thing I told Ruby not to come over tonight. She and I usually have drinks Friday night after work and she wanted to come over and hang out with you. I told her we needed a quiet night to ourselves first."
"Yeah, I don't think I have the energy for Ruby tonight." Emma laughed. "She's great! Don't get me wrong. She's just…"
"…a little intense sometimes." Regina said, finishing Emma's sentence.
"Yes!" Emma laughed.
"She's coming over tomorrow afternoon, though. And she'll probably stay for dinner. Sometimes there's no stopping Ruby Lucas." Regina laughed.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Emma laughed, yawning a third time. "I'm sorry. I'm awake, I swear!"
"It's ok. Why don't you head into the den and get settled on the couch. I'll clean up here and meet you there. We can watch a movie tonight." Regina said, collecting the plates and silverware.
"I can help, it's ok." Emma said, standing slowly.
"Nonsense. You're exhausted. Go rest." Regina said, kissing Emma sweetly. "I'll be in shortly." Regina said, nudging her towards the door.
"Ok." Emma said, walking out of the room slowly, exhaustion finally setting in.
Ten minutes later, Regina made her way into the den, two glasses of wine in her hands. What she saw brought a tear to her eye. Emma was curled up on the couch asleep, a blanket wrapped around her, her hair falling onto her face slightly. Regina's heart swelled at the sight of her Omega, asleep on the couch, as images of what their life together could be flashed across her mind. She set the glasses on the table, as she made her way over to the small fireplace, quietly building a fire, watching as the flames consumed the logs, when she heard Emma stir behind her.
"Hey! Sorry, I think I nodded off." Emma said, shifting on the couch.
"It's ok." Regina said, sitting on the couch next to Emma.
"The fire feels nice." Emma said, her eyes still heavy with sleep. "Can we sit and enjoy it for a little bit before we watch a movie?" Emma asked.
"Of course. Lay back down." Regina said, moving to turn the room lights off, making sure to move the TV remote closer to the couch, before she crawled behind Emma, both laying on their side, wrapping her arms around Emma, holding her tight.
"Mmmm…" Emma said, settling in against Regina, shifting the blanket over them. "Even better." She whispered, as she laced her fingers with Regina's.
Time stopped as they laid together, Emma in Regina's arms, their fingers intertwined, as they watched the flames flicker, their light casting shadows against the wall.
"I think I'm falling in love with you." Regina whispered, as she kissed Emma's neck softly, not wanting to wake the sleeping woman held tightly in her arms.
Emma blinked her eyes open as the bright morning sun filled the room. The fire had long since gone out, a few embers still remaining, causing a twinkle in the pile of ash. She could feel Regina's breath on the back of her neck, her arms still wrapped tightly around her body, their legs twisted together. She slowly rolled over to face Regina, her heart skipping a beat when she saw the woman sleeping beside her. Regina's face was calm and free of makeup. Her hair, still straight from the previous day, fell over her face, hiding the warm smile plastered across Regina's face. She couldn't resist the urge to brush the hair away from Regina's face, taking a second to graze her thumb over Regina's soft cheek, as she watched her sleep for a few more moments.
"Mmmm." Regina said, as Emma ran her fingers through Regina's hair. "Good morning." She whispered, as her eyes fluttered open, her smile widening.
"Good morning." Emma whispered, pulling Regina closer to her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you."
"It's quite alright." Regina smiled. "What time is it?"
"Early." Emma whispered. "Around seven-thirty I think."
"That is early, for a Saturday." Regina laughed, her eyes bright as she stared at Emma.
"I'm sorry, I fell asleep again." Emma whispered. "I ruined our night."
"You didn't ruin anything." Regina said, running her hand up and down Emma's back. "Being with you is all I need."
"I'll make it up to you. I promise." Emma said, shyly.
"There's no need. Laying by the fire with you in my arms is my idea of a perfect evening." Regina said, her smile wide.
"Where have you been my whole life?" Emma asked.
"Waiting for you." Regina whispered, kissing Emma softly.
"How about I make breakfast then. I can't cook much, but I can scramble a mean egg." Emma laughed.
"Sounds good." Regina smiled. "But not right this second. Stay here with me a little longer."
"There's nowhere else I would rather be." Emma said, kissing Regina softly.
Time stopped again, as they gazed into each other's eyes, as if they were the only two people on the planet. Little by little, Regina's eyes began to close, until she eventually dozed off, her body not quite ready to wake up just yet. Emma crawled off the couch, covering her sleeping Alpha with the blanket, before she made her way into the kitchen to start a pot of coffee and begin cooking breakfast, her mind constantly returning to the woman sleeping on the couch in the other room, her heart happy and full of hope. She cooked breakfast in Regina's kitchen, moving with grace and skill as if she had prepared breakfast in this kitchen a hundred times. The room filled with the smell of fresh coffee and bacon as Emma plated the food, pouring two mugs of coffee, adding a splash of skim milk in Regina's, knowing she likes just a tiny bit of milk when it's not Wolf's Time, quietly making a few trips into the den to bring breakfast to Regina, letting her sleep just a little more before waking her again.
"Now it's my turn to apologize for falling asleep." Regina said, her eyes fluttering open once again, as Emma sat on the couch next to her, running her fingers through her hair.
"It's totally alright." Emma laughed. "Breakfast is ready."
"It smells amazing!" Regina said, sitting up to see the food on the coffee table.
"Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks." Emma said, handing Regina her cup of coffee.
They ate together, enjoying the time together, their knees touching, as they sat in comfortable silence. They quickly found themselves curled up on the couch together again, their finished breakfast plates left on the coffee table, sipping the remainder of their coffee when Regina's phone started ringing somewhere in another room. Regina sighed as she crawled off the couch, trying to remember where she left her phone the previous evening, finding it in the kitchen seconds before she missed the call.
"Good morning Ruby!" She said, cheerfully, as she turned around to see Emma enter the room, carrying their dirty dishes, placing them gently on the counter, as she began to prepare them for the dishwasher.
"Where the hell have you been? I've been texting you all night and all morning!" Ruby scolded into the phone, so loud that Emma could hear on the other side of the room.
"Sorry, my phone was in the kitchen. Is everything ok?" Regina asked, concerned.
"Yes, everything is fine. I just wanted to know how things were going with Emma." Ruby said.
"Extremely well." Regina said, a smile reaching across her face.
"Oh My God! Did you sleep with her?" Ruby asked, her voice once again reaching Emma on the other side of the room.
"RUBY!" Regina scolded, her face turning bright red when she realized Emma could hear her conversation.
"What? It's my job to be concerned with all aspects of my Alpha's life!" Ruby laughed.
"There's a time and a place for conversations such as this." Regina laughed.
"Got it. We'll talk later!" Ruby said, pausing to take a sip of something. "Ok, so I'm coming over after my shift. You're cooking dinner, and I'll bring the wine. Lots of wine! I'll be there around 4" Ruby said.
"Yes Ma'am!" Regina laughed. "We'll see you then."
"We! You're a 'We' now!" Ruby laughed, once again loud enough for Emma to hear. "Tell Emma I say HI!"
"Hi right back at ya!" Emma said, laughing at Ruby's volume.
"BYE!" Ruby screamed, causing Regina to pull the phone away from her ear.
"We have a few hours before Hurricane Ruby invades." Regina laughed.
"However will we pass the time?" Emma asked, as she closed the gap, pulling Regina in for a deep and passionate kiss.
"Hold that thought." Regina said after a few minutes, pulling away from Emma slightly. "I need to shower."
"Me too." Emma said, reluctantly pulling away from Regina. "Can we build another fire in the fireplace when we're done? I kinda slept through the last one." Emma asked, shyly.
"That sounds wonderful!" Regina said, following Emma upstairs to get ready for the day.
The fire burned in the fireplace the entire day, Regina and Emma sitting in front of it every moment they could, moving only to add more wood or the half hour they were in the kitchen as Regina made lasagna for dinner, returning to the couch as soon as it was baking in the oven, falling into each other's arms, their lips finding each other's like a magnet. That was where Ruby found them once again, Emma on Regina's lap, a blanket wrapped around them, in a deep passionate kiss that caused the entire world to fall away.
"Seriously, I really need to stop finding you two like this!" Ruby said as she walked into the room, a bottle of wine in each hand. "Oh my GOD! Are you two NAKED?" Ruby screamed, as she noticed the blanket around them.
"Relax, Ruby." Emma said, pushing the blanket down to show their fully clothed bodies. "We knew you were coming."
"Damn!" Ruby smiled, as she made her way over to the couch, flopping down next to Regina, Emma sliding to the other side. "What have you lovebirds been up to?" Ruby asked, winking suggestively.
"Emma made a wonderful breakfast this morning." Regina said, linking her fingers with Emma. "Other than that, we've been relaxing by the fire."
"That's not exactly the response I was hoping for." Ruby laughed. "I was hoping for something a little more…exciting!" She winked.
"RUBY!" Regina yelled, elbowing Ruby in the arm.
"What? I have to live vicariously through someone!" Ruby responded, laughing as she rubbed her arm.
"I fell asleep on the couch last night." Emma said, as if she and Ruby had been friends all their lives.
"And here I was, thinking Regina was the old lady of the three of us." Ruby laughed, receiving another elbow in the arm from Regina.
"I'm only three years older than you, Miss Lucas!" Regina scolded. "Emma had been traveling and working long hours for work. She was exhausted." Regina added, defending Emma.
"I fell asleep in Regina's arms in front of the fire." Emma said, rubbing her thumb over Regina's hand. "I woke up and she was still there, with her arms still wrapped around me. That was the most amazing feeling in the world." Emma said, blushing hard.
"Well, fuck me." Ruby said. "That's romantic as fuck!"
"It really was." Emma said, causing Regina to blush too.
"I need a drink!" Ruby declared, disappearing into the kitchen to bring back three empty wine glasses, and the bottle opener, quickly popping the cork out of the bottle, pouring wine into each glass. "Ok, let's talk about something else. Living vicariously through you has made me depressed."
"You asked." Regina laughed, receiving a familiar elbow in the arm from Ruby.
The hours passed as the three of them drank wine and ate dinner, Emma and Ruby bonding further, acting as if they had been friends for years, causing Regina's heart to swell. Ruby eventually left around nine o'clock, after Regina had to practically push her out the door, claiming she was having too much fun hanging out with Emma, and didn't want to leave.
"Sorry about Ruby." Regina said, after she made her way back to the den after walking Ruby out. "I may have promised we would meet her for drinks next Friday when you come back. I mean…well… if you come back…" Regina said, sitting next to Emma.
"I will definitely be back next week." Emma said, curling up against Regina's chest, Regina's arms instantly wrapped around her, as they stared at the fire. "And the week after that."
"And hopefully all the weekends after that." Regina smiled, kissing Emma's head, as they settled into the couch together.
"I've always wanted to live in a house that had a fireplace. There was always something comforting about the idea of sitting around a fire with the people that you love the most. A few of the houses I was placed in when I was a kid had fireplaces, but I was never there long enough to have a fire." Emma said, divulging for the first time details of her life in the foster system.
"You moved around a lot as a child?" Regina asked.
"Yeah. I didn't stay in the same house for very long. When I was a kid, I used to have to hide in the closet or under my bed during the full moon, and once the foster family found out I slept under my bed or in my closet they sent me back. They thought there was something wrong with me, and didn't want to deal with a weird kid. When I got older I started sneaking out of the house during Wolf's Time, but eventually they would catch me sneaking back into the house, and would send me back." Emma explained. Regina could tell that reliving these memories were hard for her, so she didn't press for more when Emma fell silent. "The first full moon after my sixteenth birthday, I snuck out of the house and never went back. Since I was two years away from aging out of the system, they never came looking for me."
"Emma. I'm so sorry." Regina whispered.
"I got into some trouble right before I turned eighteen." Emma continued. "I was living in my car with this guy for about a year. We were trying to get to Florida where we were going to start over. We were going to steal our way across the country. We made it to Phoenix when he let me take the fall for some stolen watches that he stolen before I met him. I ended up in jail for eleven months because of it." Emma said, wiping a stray tear from her eye. "I spent my eighteenth birthday in a jail cell because I trusted the wrong person." She added.
"That's why you didn't trust me at first." Regina said, a tear falling from her eye as well.
"Yeah." Emma whispered. "My heart was telling me to trust you but my brain was telling me not to."
"And what does it say now?" Regina asked.
"It says to be careful, because someone as amazing as you can't really exist, that you're too good to be true." Emma said, shifting so she could see Regina. "But my heart is telling me that, for the first time in my life, I'm home." She said, tears falling from her eyes.
"You are home." Regina whispered, wiping the tears from Emma's face.
They spent the next two hours in relative silence, Regina's arms wrapped around Emma, moving only to tend to the fire.
"Let's go to bed." Regina whispered, as the fire eventually burned out, leaving only a few twinkling embers. Emma nodded, as she untangled herself, offering a hand to Regina, pulling her to her feet. "So, you are welcome to share my bed with me. But if you don't feel comfortable, I made up the guest room for you." Regina said, as they made their way to the top of the stairs.
"I don't want to stay in the guest room." Emma smiled, closing the guest room door, linking their fingers, as she led Regina down the hall to her bedroom.
They quickly got ready for bed, Regina wearing a pair of soft silk pajamas, Emma her usual flannel pajama pants that had faded from years of wear, and an oversized t-shirt, suddenly regretting her choice of sleepwear. They climbed into bed together, laying close, facing each other. The moon light filled the room, causing Regina's eyes to sparkle. Emma cupped Regina's face, moving closer to pull her in for a kiss.
The kiss started off soft and sweet, a perfect kiss to end a perfect day. As Emma shifted closer still, the kiss became deeper and more passionate, as she reached up and began to slowly unbutton Regina's shirt, running her fingers over the smooth buttons. It wasn't until Emma had unbuttoned her shirt entirely and started pushing it down, did Regina even realize what was happening.
"Emma, you don't have to…" Regina said, pulling away from the kiss, as Emma rolled her over onto her back, pushing Regina's shirt open to expose her breasts.
"I want to." Emma whispered, running her hands up Regina's body, slowing when she reached Regina's breasts. "Do you want me to stop?" She asked, as she started kissing Regina's neck.
"No!" Regina said, her breath heavy. "I don't want you to feel like you have to, though." Regina said, causing Emma to pull away.
"I want you, Regina. I want you more than I have ever wanted another person before." Emma whispered, pulling her own shirt off, throwing it on the floor beside her, pulling Regina up to remove hers, tossing it next to Emma's on the floor. As Regina slowly laid back down, Emma returned to kissing her neck, settling on top of Regina, their breasts pressed together, as her hands roamed up the side of Regina's body. Regina lightly ran her fingertips up Emma's back, as she closed her eyes, arching her back slightly as Emma made her way down to her breasts, taking one nipple into her mouth, sucking lightly, before moving on to the other. Regina's skin felt like it was on fire, as Emma kissed her way down her stomach, stopping just above the waistband of her pants, throwing the blankets off suddenly, exposing their half naked bodies to the cool air of the room.
Emma slowly pulled down Regina's pajama pants, climbing off the bed, taking Regina's pants with her, tossing them to the side, quickly riding herself of her own pants, before kneeling beside Regina's legs, gazing down at the incredible woman next to her.
"You are so beautiful." Emma whispered, unable to take her eyes off Regina.
"No, I'm not." Regina said, her demeanor changing suddenly, her hands reaching down to cup over her crotch.
"Yes, you are!" Emma whispered, preparing to continue the task, when Regina recoiled completely.
"No I'm not." She repeated, rolling to her side, facing away from Emma, pulling her legs to her chest, her hands still clutching her crotch. "I'm hideous."
"Hey, Regina…" Emma said, moving closer to Regina. "What's the matter?" She asked, reaching out to lightly touch Regina's back.
"I'm disgusting, Emma." Regina said, her voice emotional. Emma could feel Regina was trying not to cry. "How could you be attracted to me? I'm a freak."
"What are you talking about? You're perfect!" Emma said.
"I'm a woman…with a penis, Emma!" Regina said, her voice raising slightly in frustration. "I'm disgusting." Regina repeated, this time with tears falling from her eyes.
"Hey, look at me." Emma said softly, encouraging Regina to look at her. She shifted to her other side, now facing Emma, her hands still clamped over her crotch, tears falling onto the pillow. "You're not disgusting. Stop saying that." Emma said, shifting to lay next to Regina, making sure to leave plenty of room between them.
"How can you find me attractive with this…this…THING…this stupid thing." Regina said, hurt in her eyes.
"Regina, you are the most beautiful person I have ever met. Inside and out." Emma said, cupping Regina's face. "And that stupid thing, as you call it. It's going to allow us to have a child. A natural child. One that is equal parts you and me. How could that be stupid?" Emma asked.
"Really?" Regina asked, calming down a little. "You really don't think I look hideous?"
"Far from it." Emma said, shifting closer to Regina. "I wasn't lying when I said you were the most beautiful person I have ever seen." Emma said, wiping more tears away from Regina's face. "We don't have to have sex tonight if you don't feel comfortable." Emma said.
"No, I want to. I REALLY want to!" Regina said. "I don't know, all of a sudden, you were looking at me with so much love in your eyes, and I just suddenly felt very self-conscious. Like I suddenly didn't deserve to be with you because of how I look."
"Stop putting yourself down like that." Emma smiled.
"Sorry." Regina smiled, slowly pulling her hands up and around Emma, exposing herself once again.
"May I continue?" Emma asked softly.
"Yes please." Regina smiled, as Emma rolled her back over onto her back, kissing her deeply once more before she moved to settle between Regina's legs.
Emma planted soft kisses below Regina's navel, before taking Regina's Alpha Penis in her hand, placing a soft kiss on the tip, before taking it into her mouth slowly. Regina arched off the bed as a low moan escaped her lips, as Emma continued to thrust Regina's penis into her mouth, taking on more and more of it with each thrust, moving to stroke the shaft not in her mouth in perfect unison. Regina moaned louder as Emma continued to thrust and stroke for a few more minutes, slowing suddenly when she noticed something wasn't quite right.
"Umm…Regina?" Emma asked.
"Emma?" Regina responded, breathless.
"Am I doing something wrong?" She asked, her turn to be self conscious.
"No! It feels incredible." Regina said, looking down at Emma between her legs.
"Well, because…nothing's happening…" She said, motioning to Regina's still flaccid penis.
"I only get an erection when it's time to mate." Regina responded, her breath still heavy in her chest, suddenly sensing Emma's confusion. "But everything else still works." She smiled, as she reached down for Emma's hand, guiding her towards her soaking wet folds.
Emma smiled when she discovered how wet Regina was, as she slowly inserted her middle finger deep into Regina's vagina, slowly pulling it out, as Regina fell back against the bed.
"Emma!" Regina moaned, reaching out for Emma, pulling her up to her, as Emma inserted a second finger, causing Regina to call out once more.
Emma hovered above Regina, using her left hand to support herself, as her right hand continued to finger Regina, falling into a mutual rhythm, Regina's hips moving into Emma's fingers with each thrust. Regina wrapped her arms around Emma and pulled her in for a deep and messy kiss, in between moans and screams, chanting Emma's name in rhythm as she grew closer and closer to climax. As her orgasm crashed over her, she grabbed Emma, pulling her close and flipped her over, Emma's fingers still inside her as she reached down, running her fingers through Emma's soaking wet folds, inserting a single finger inside Emma, eager for her to feel the way she was feeling. Quickly shifting on top of Emma, she inserted a second finger, falling into the same rhythm they previously had, kissing Emma's neck as Emma moaned loudly, wrapping her arms around Regina. Watching Regina climax turned Emma on so much that it didn't take much before she joined Regina in orgasmic bliss. Moments later, Emma's orgasm came crashing over her, as she screamed out Regina's name. Regina's fingers never stilled, as Emma's second orgasm began to slowly build, her body still on fire from the first orgasm, which lingered in her blood.
"Together…" Regina whispered, as she shifted to kiss Emma passionately. Emma reached between their bodies, returning her fingers inside Regina's still soaking vagina, matching Regina's rhythm, as Regina's second orgasm began to build, their bodies moving as one.
Time stopped again as they climaxed together, their fingers never stilling as their orgasms crashed over them, keeping the familiar rhythm, another orgasm already beginning to build.
"Regina…" Emma moaned, her skin on fire, already close to the edge for the third time.
"Emma…" Regina moaned back, her head falling in the crook of Emma's neck, her lips leaving soft kisses, as they both felt their third orgasm crashing over them.
Regina collapsed on top of Emma, exhaustion finally causing them to stop, her fingers still inside Emma, her body twitching slightly as she began to recover from her powerful orgasms. Emma wrapped her arms around her tightly, her body twitching as well, her heart pounding against Regina's chest, her mind clouded with euphoria. They stayed like this for another ten minutes, before Regina regained enough energy to roll onto her side, Emma following suit so they were facing each other, their faces inches away from each other, their arms loosely draped over each other's sides.
"That was…" Emma started to say, stopping to find the words.
"…extraordinary." Regina answered, her fingers brushing lightly up Emma's back, leaving goosebumps in their wake.
"I have LITERALLY never felt anything like that before!" Emma said, cupping Regina's face. "I really have been waiting for you my entire life." She said, pulling Regina in for a soft kiss.
"And I have been waiting for you, as well." Regina whispered, her eyes slowly closing, as she fought the pull of sleep. Emma sat up suddenly, pulling the blankets around their naked bodies, before shifting close to Regina, their arms immediately wrapping around each other.
"Goodnight, My Love." Regina whispered, as her eyes closed.
"Goodnight, My Love." Emma whispered back, fighting against sleep to stare at Regina for a few more minutes, still in utter awe of her beauty.
The next day seemed to fly by, and suddenly it was seven o'clock, and it was time for Emma to leave.
"I don't want you to leave." Regina said, sadness in her voice, as she followed Emma to the front door.
"I don't want to leave either." Emma said, grabbing Regina's hands, squeezing. "But the longer I stay, the harder it'll be to leave."
"I know." Regina pouted, trying not to cry.
"I'll see you on Friday. I can stop for Chinese again if you want." Emma said, pulling Regina closer to her.
"That sounds great." Regina said, losing the battle, as two tears fell from her eyes.
"I'll call you when I get home." Emma said, wiping the tears from her face.
"Yes, thank you." Regina said, as Emma pulled away from her, grabbing her jacket out of the hall closet. She pulled it on quickly, flipping her hair out from under the collar, as Regina followed her to the door.
"I'll see you soon." Emma said, kissing her one last time, before opening the door and running out to her car.
Regina watched as Emma tossed her duffle bag onto the front seat next to her, before climbing in and slamming the door. A few seconds later the engine started, and a minute later Emma was pulling out of the driveway, driving out of sight. As soon as Emma's car was completely out of view, she made her way back into her house, the house that suddenly felt so incredibly empty without the blonde. She made her way into the kitchen to pour herself a much needed glass of wine, searching for her discarded phone, knowing there was at least one text from Ruby. Sure enough, there was not one, but three texts from Ruby, the most recent instructing Regina to text her the moment Emma left to give her all the details.
"Hey. Emma just left." Regina texted, settling into the couch, a feeling of sadness washed over her, as she sat there alone.
"SOOOO! How did the weekend go?" Ruby asked, texting back immediately.
"We had a delightful weekend together." Regina answered, flipping through the channels, searching for something to take her mind off of how much she missed Emma.
"Delightful weekend? You have to give me more than that!" Ruby responded.
"It was an amazing weekend." Regina responded, laughing to herself, as she knew what Ruby was hinting at, and wanted to make her wait a little longer for that information.
"That's not what I meant either, and you know it, Miss Mills. You're going to make me ask aren't you?" Ruby asked.
"Whatever do you mean?" Regina texted, laughing again.
"Did you two sleep together?" Ruby texted. Regina could practically see the frustrated look on Ruby's face, as she decided to mess with her a little longer.
"We slept in the same bed last night. Is that what you're asking?" Regina responded, laughing out loud.
"That's not what I meant, Regina, and you know it. Did you two have SEX?" Ruby texted, the frustration practically seeping through the phone.
"No…" Regina responded, waiting a few seconds before sending a second text.
"We made Love."
A/N: Let me know what you think of the story so far!
