Author's Note - January 23rd, 2022

Hey everyone, I hope all is well and I hope you're staying safe. I thought I'd write this because I know it's been ages since I've updated and plus, it's a little catch-up. :)

For starters, I feel like I need to explain myself to be honest - because I did originally plan to write two prequels that centred on the Children of the Sun cult and the Harran Outbreak. But unfortunately, I've ended up losing the motivation to see them both through and I do apologise for that. I don't know if I may consider returning to them again and hopefully keeping my motivation, or focusing on those events in a different way. :( Though, I do have one idea for the latter - which could be based around potential flashbacks. I'm hoping that the right option will come to mind, soon. :)

In the meantime though, I am currently at 407 words with Chapter 35 for Part I and I'm hoping to get back to continuing the storyline, since Dying Light 2 is right around the corner. Speaking of which, I've also decided to have a go at incorporating those events into Part II's plot in a way - so there's a chance that Libby, Kyle, Rahim, Jade and Brecken might run into Aiden. If that's something you guys would like to see, please let me know. I'd love to hear your thoughts. :)
